I enrolled in an online MBA class in July '08. My $175 soft-cover marketing book was miss-shipped 2 times so it was basically lost in transit for 3 weeks before it actually arrived. By the time this over-priced book arrived I decided to drop the class so I shipped it back and was told it was "damaged" even though I had never used it! Now they won't give me a refund and their Customer service manager, Ebony G. , is avoiding my emails and phone calls in order to avoid giving me a refund. - Jason

I am going through the same thing. i have started sending emails starting at the top of Florida Tech and will work my way down. The is ridiculous and someone needs to put a stop to it. I am not paying for a un-used book that I have already paid for once and I am not paying for them to return a damaged product.

These idiots signed me up for an MBA program, told me that I could attend class while they finalized my application. Keep in mind that you have to use the books to actually participate in class. About 2 weeks in, I was informed that I was not accepted into the program. Then they attempted to charge me for the books and materials unless I sent them back. Needless to say that I did, AND THEY STILL CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD! I provided them with proof that I sent the books back to them and they said that the books were damaged because they were taken out of the packaging. WTF!?!?!?!? And to stop it off, I just received an email saying that they were sending more books to me. I'm either going to drive to Tampa and choke someone or sue them. Choking Bisk's CEO would make me feel a lot better.

I actually am going to school through Jacksonville University/University Alliance/Bisk Education for my RN to BSN. There are classes that they do not offer that I apparently need so they signed me up with classes from Florida Tech Online. My complaint is the runaround about my financial aid. I was awarded a financial aid letter but when it came time to pay for my classes(convenient deferred payment...ha!), I can't use my financial aid? This is craziness and an insult to a single mom trying to better myself. Why would I take classes that couldn't be paid for with aid? Why would I learn this after classes were started and I had to make numerous phone calls to find out where my loan check was? I am outraged at their false statements about helping with financial aid. I have talked to so many people in that department that all have a different answer. Isn't that their job? Shouldn't they know what they are doing? It seems that all they are interested in is getting you in then they could care less. Sad to say that the whole financial part has discouraged me to the point that I am done with school.

I am just one more person totally disheartened by Florida Tech Online. I finally withdrew because I couldn't deal with it anymore. They presured my into signing up for a class by calling me daily, and assuring me that I would get financial aid, all my previous college classes would transfer, and they would give me a military discount. When I finally enrolled NONE of my classes transfered because they had a different numbering system from FIT. What a joke. They told me I had to buy my books from them and charged me 200.00 for 1 book. The class was awful the teacher never answered her email, the system crashed and all our weeks grades were lost, the tests were on material we had not covered. I hope anyone reading this thinks twice about Bisk Education.

I am another person having a terrible time with Florida Tech Online, Bisk/UA. I also went to BBB to try and resolve the issue. Very dissatisfied with the school, I withdrew. I didn’t hear from them for a year after I withdrew from the school. Everything is well documented. But behind the scenes they charged me for classes I didn’t attend, books I sent back and now they have attacked my credit. As soon as I found out I contacted the BBB. Be warned that I discovered that the BBB can do nothing to help you but give them a bad rating. And they have multiple names at the BBB. What BISK will send them will not be accurate or agree with itself BISK will respond twice to the BBB and then send you into collections. There will be multiple attacks on your credit report. It may be one class to you but they break it into class, books and fees. You feel really helpless when there is no one you can go to for help.

I too am having a difficult time with Bisk/UA (I was forced to go through them as a student of Florida Tech Online). They sent out books for a term that I never attended (I had withdrawn from the school because of other issues) and sent me to collections for $394. I supposedly had a rep who was getting an RMA for me only to keep getting the run-around and now 3 months later, I have books, in a box, in a corner that I have never used and they are saying that they won't take them back. I have filed a report with BBB and on [redacted]s.com, I am hoping that enough people are upset enough to get a lawyer involved or file enough complaints so that someone does some thorough investigating.

The quality Project Management on line courses I took from Villanova/Bisk Publishing was useless, the study material was of poor quality. I spent thousands of dollars all for nothing. Don't throw your money away with any on line courses from Bisk . They piggyback on the good name of Villanova, Notre Dame, and Tulane, I wonder why these reputable Universities have partnered with Bisk ?

Before I purchased full-set CPA Exam review material, the sales reprehensive have told me that if I am not satisfy with the contents. I just need to call them within ten days and send the return products. If that happened, I will only be charge for shipping fee. However, while I send the full package back to them, they said two books are damaged. And those two books which I mentioned within the cancellation call. Even those books are perfect well, which I didn’t use, but they claimed they are dirty on the cover. S0 they can’t give the refund credit for those. This is the first time I have experience a company will do anything to boost their sales by hiding in common law. When they sent you the material with the invoice disclosed that you are liable for any damage in shipping. Once the material was out of their door, the sales have legally success. Then you appear on their customer list, even thought you end up with purchase other company's products to achieve your goal. You are still on their customer list. On the website, the adverting has claimed eighty-eight percent passing rate on the CPA Exam. I wonder how the survey has collected their data. If they based on the customer list, who really used their material. The funniest thing is that a sales person at Bisk called me asked me HOW I AM DOING WITH MY STUDY. Well I can only say that I am just a victim failed in a well planed trap. I believe that law should protect both saller and buyer. Now, it seems like someone is not acting in good faith.
