Binverse Please stay away from Binverse and their malpractices and protect your valuable cash and time

On 13 July, I enlisted for 14 day trial usage through PayPal for 1.0 USD and quickly realized it did not serve my purpose. Fourteen days hence, on 28 July, to my horror I noticed I was charged 100 USD for a yearly membership which I did not authorize!. I mentioned this problem to the customer service, they said they cannot help with this, refused to refund my CASH and hung up on me.

I have canceled my recurring payments through PayPal and I have raised a complaint at PayPal. I have not yet canceled my Binverse account, since they warn that on cancellation of account there will not be any refunds.

I am terribly shocked at their audacity and corrupt business practice of stealing CASH from customers. Hopefully I will be refunded for my losses.

Please stay away from Binverse and their malpractices and protect your valuable CASH and time. I have additionally attached the summary of transactions.

Hello Omstish - or should I say Cheress? You recently posted the same text with another Account (Binverse — Please stay away from Binverse and their malpractices and protect your valuable cash and time)... I think that's not a good way to be trusted by other users who will read this. In addition to that I've checked the binverse website and they don't offer a 14 days trial - it's only a 3 days trial. Don't know what I should think about that...

Dear Cheress,

We are very sorry to hear that you were having problems with Binverse.

To avoid any misapprehensions we would like to explain the general conception of our website. After signing up on binverse.com, you enter a membership depending on what package you chose (either the Premium 1-Month package for $29.98 or the Premium 6-Month package for $99.90). Payment is possible via credit card or PayPal. When choosing PayPal $1 will be charged by PayPal in order to make sure the account is verified. As mentioned several times during the sign up process as well as in the TOS (which have to be accepted by the customer) you have to cancel our service during the trial period if you do not want your membership to be converted into a paid contract. Otherwise you will enter the full membership depending on the chosen package. If you wish to retract your membership or cancel our service, you can do so either by using the Online Support Form or by clicking on the cancel button in the member area.

Also, we would like to point out that it is our goal to make our website as trustful and reliable as possible. It is not our intention to give any false information to our customers regarding our service. If you have any concerns about Binverse or problems with signing up or cancelling, please feel free to send us an e-mail to mediarelations@binverse.com. We will do our best to solve any problem and incorporate your suggestions.

Best regards,
Your Binverse Team

Binverse UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE

I WAS LOOKING FOR THE SOUNDTRACK FOR THE MOVIE NO RESERVATIONS AND CAME ACROSS BINVERSE. SIGNED UP AS REQUESTED. WAS STILL IN THE PROCESS OF SIGNING UP WHEN THE SITE RE-DIRECTED ME TO ANOTHER SITE CALLED "FIRST LOAD" WHICH IMMEDIATELY OPENED WITH PORNOGRAPHIC PICTURES. I SIMPLY CLOSED THE SITE AND THOUGHT NO FURTHER ABOUT IT. TWO WEEKS LATER I HAD A CALL FROM MY CREDIT CARD PROVIDER TO ADVISE ME THAT A CHARGE OF R400.00 HAD BEEN DRAWN AND WAS IT LEGITIMATE. OBVIOUSLY NOT. I HAVE ASKED THEM TO ATTEMPT TO GET THE MONEY BACK BUT READING THE OTHER COMPLAINTS RELATING TO THIS SAME ISSUE AM UNLIKELY TO.

I so hate this company. The Free Trial is a total scam. I didnt use any of their services yet they charged me. Good thing PAYPAL was quick to resolve. If ever you guys are planning to get a binverse, think again.

There is no reminder of the 14 days trial expiration. I signed up and immediately called to cancel but no one answered. After 14 days, they automatically deducted $99.96 from PayPal without prior notice. I finally got a hold of a customer representative and they didn't take back their charges for the service that I don't use and have not received. I'm filling a complaint with PayPal and hope to get money back.

What's up with all the WE stuff? I find it interesting that you would want someone to contact your "media relations" department when your New Jersey Listed business shows 1 employee making $79, 000 annually. That makes YOU the President, CEO, CFO, HR dept. Manager, Director, Supervisor, as well as the "media relations" dept. You should be able to handle any problems that arrise without the shameful act of having someone email a false dept. that only YOU sit in anyway!
Shame on you! Just another scam artist bilking the unwary with BS.
Those of us who operate "honest" businesses can only hope shysters like you get hemorrhoids and live to be a thousand!

Dear DDL601,

We are very sorry to hear that you were having problems with Binverse.

First of all, we want to clarify that we are not related to "First Load" in any way. The only similarity between Binverse and “First Load” is that both are Usenet providers.

Since we don’t know what happened during your sign-up process we would like to ask you to write an email with further information to mediarelations@binverse.com. We will do our best to solve the problem.

Best regards,
Your Binverse Team

Thank you to Binverse for contacting me. I resent my email message again asking for a refund, and they responded and gave my my refund. This has impressed me and wanted to report my success. Just be very careful when you subscribe to a free trial - make sure you read all the fine print and every word beforehand. I am attaching a copy of the email I received from them and also would like to say PayPal also contacted me giving me the same information.

Dear mandlbowen,

thank you very much for your feedback and for getting in touch with us.

First of all I am sorry that you could not use our service due to technical problems. If you would like to use Binverse in the future please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team. I am sure our technical department will solve any problems with using our service.

I understand your situation now so I have already initiated a refund to your PayPal account.

You will not be able to use your current account with Binverse anymore but you are very welcome to sign up again and maybe choose a monthly plan, just as you wish.

Please understand that it might take a few days until the money is refunded.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask, we will be glad to help.

Kind regards,

Binverse No Way out of Scam

I live in Australia and sadly fell victim to binverse when I signed up using my boyfriends CC and this was only to get a free E book that actually did not even exist in the p2p network. After I realised this I immediatley tried to cancel the account using the support and account manager in the site.
This does not work and I unfortunatley got raped $130 AU which is a 1/3 of our wage.Due to having to pay regular utilities and rent and now thanks to Stupid [censored] software we cannot afford to eat this fortnight. No matter what you do, do not sign up to this software. It has no way out for anyone with a so called 'free 14 day trial period in which you may cancel at any time' what a load of crap!
It misleads you in every way from the content that made you sign up to the money that you apparently owe them for a service you
My partner is pursuing a refund through his credit union and we will shame this company for the rest of our lives to not only the trillions of online users we network and advertise to, but also spread the message to everyone young and old we meet everyday to steer clear of these menacing companies.
We both work in Busy Travel and Tourism Industies so the opportunities too hurt the Reputation are there every second of every day!
Who knows, hopefully one day I will meet someone that works there(binverse employee 0r affiliate), then I would get my money back... hehehe!

False advertising is a major CRIME in Australia, Pity the Goverment in the US is still to blind to see what goes on under thier noses! Why are these sites still existing?
One day many hackers will get ready to attack these Parasitic companies and only then will the war truely be won!
Shame on you Binverse!
Shame on YOU!

Hi Joshyboi6,

I'm from Hong Kong, I just got charged for $99USD by Biverse as well, I totally agreed with you that the so-called free trial is all very misleading, and have called their CS to complain, I'm still waiting for their reply for giving me a refund. I will never give my credit card again for any "free" service like that, it's a total trap...

Binverse Misleading free trial

I signed up for a free trial at Binverse, because it says that if I sign before July 31 end I'll pay onlyu $1 for for the entire subscription, which I did. I entered my paypal payment and wala! the $1 was debited from my account. I searched about the company and found out later there's a lot of bad reviews about them. I decided not to log in to the account they provided, anyway it's only a dollar that was scammed from me. Last Aug. 14 I got an e-mail from them saying payment failed, I've no idea what's that payment for so I tried to call them but the friendly costumer service was out of reach. Last Aug. 16 I was so shocked that I was charged $99.96. Tried to call them but the FRIENDLY CUSTOMER SERVICE was out of reach!

I reported it to Paypal as unauthorized charges and thanks Paypal their answered was quick. They will reversed the payment and I was no longer subscribe to this Scambags!.

I salute you Paypal, you are true to your promises to your client.

Hi Sudhakar,
Sorry for the delayed response. First of all raise a complaint on PayPal and on the transaction history page
cancel the agreement with vendor. After 4-5 of raising the complaint, I got an update from Paypal informing that the transaction has been revoked.
I also checked with Card provider, this particular transaction is still in pending mode and will remain so for the next 30 days after which it will be deleted from my account.

In effect, this transaction is totally nullified. I guess this was an important lesson, albeit a painful one.

Binverse Scam!

Everything started when I need software for my laptop. It was night and I could not find a software store to open so I was googling and found Binverse with all the words of his ads are promising. I signed up and gave up $ 1 registration fee separately. I think it's okay, because they mentioned the 14-day free trial and you are free to cancel it. My carelessness, I do not see in detail how to cancel. After I tried, it was very disappointing download speeds, slow! I decided to not use Binverse services. Later On February 6th I received an email from pay pal tranksaksi for $ 21.99! without prior notice to the email address I registered to binverse. Binverse very difficult initially in contact via email [protected]@binverse.com. Finally I contacted pay pal and complain about the unauthorized payment reply. And dated February 7 I received an email from me telling Binverse which gives details of the account. All the legal ways I have tried and I really hope that the parties Binverse improve their marketing way and do business in honest way! and please...give back my money!

BEWARE THE BINVERSE!
Thanks!

If you provide them with your credit card info they will charge you 6.50 regardless if you signed up for the free trial or not. Cancel your card straight away! Once your 14 "free" trial is over, you will be charged over $100 for a full year membership.

If you used paypal to sign up, cancel your card on paypal because they will charge your paypal account $1 every month or so.

I applied for a binverse free trial. They imediately charged twice US$ 3, so I don't understand what kind of 'free' stuff is this. It's not easy to stop the free trial, there is no such an option offered. It seems to be a kind of trap.

Binverse automatically charged my paypal account even though I never used the service after a "free" trial. I called and was connected with an Indian telemarketer who was rude, hung up on me and told me that there was no one else to help me. They refuse to give me my money back...it is a scam do not use this service. I have tried calling back twelve times and now I simply get an answering service.

Dear Nooble24,

First of all we are very sorry to hear that you had problems with Binverse.

If you have any concerns about Binverse or problems with signing up or cancelling, please feel free to send us an e-mail to mediarelations@binverse.com. We will do our best to solve any problem and incorporate your suggestions.

Binverse No confirmation e-mails.

I signed up for a 14-day free trial with Binverse, after reading the terms which stated I could cancel at any time before the trial was up. However, I never received the e-mails giving me a username/password and allowing me to access my account. Therefore, I couldn't cancel it.

The very unpleasing woman on the support hotline said that my e-mail provider was blocking their e-mails. I told them that my $1 PayPal transaction cleared, and that I wanted both my account and the PayPal transaction cancelled. I sent them an e-mail through my alternate e-mail account asking for cancellation; I have yet to see the money refunded.

I do not know if sbcglobal.net actually blocks Binverse - if they do, I can understand why. But if you can't even activate your account, you can't cancel it, which basically means you're held hostage to pay for a subscription because without a username and password, you can't cancel the trial.

Do not deal with these people. I learned my lesson, and hope that others heed it.

I signed up a 14-day free trial with Binverse, however, never received an email from them about my account and password. I called them several times but couldn't get hold of them. I send them an email about this and never got response back. The next day after signed up the free trial, I found Binverse charged $3 on my credit card. I then called my bank to close my card account. Binverse is a scam and stay away from it.

Binverse is a SCAM. DO NOT use your Paypal account, they imbed a Recurring Payment in your Paypal account when you send them the 1.00 for the trial period. Thereafter, Binverse charge your Paypal account without you aware of them. Once you aware of them, they WILL NOT refund you. So DO NOT pay them with Paypal or Credit Card. Binverse is a SCAM. No ligitimate business using their contact system. They use contact system so you do not have proof between you and them. You can not reply their email but need to fill out a different contact to send them. Therefore you have no record of your complaint.

Login your Paypal and remove Recurring Payment immediately or else they will able to charge your account at any time. Contact Paypal if you need instruction how to remove the Recurring Payment Binverse imbed in your Paypal account without your authorization.

I have similar experience with Binverse. After purchasing their $1 trail offer, I recieved the user id and password, however their service and apps were very useless and in 4 days I could not download anything at all. So I called their customer support and asked them to cancel my acccount. The customer support informed me that my account will be cancelled. I did not receive any cancellation email. However after two weeks they deducted $21.95 from my paypal account. When I contacted their support, I was told that I did not cancel my account on time and they cannot make a refund, whereas the reality is that I called their customer support within 4 days to cancel my subscription. This company sucks. uTorrent is the best and use that AND STAY AWAY FROM BINVERSE. - Dibs

Binverse Issues with Binverse? Check out a few other Usenet Options

Binverse is a relatively new service we had high hopes for this Usenet provider but due to the negative feedback we've pulled them off our Top 10 list and posted a blog on this issue. Read more at http://www.usenetadvantage.net/usenet_newsgroup_blog/archives/146. We always like to keep an open mind so hopefully Binverse will solve some of these issues as there may be future potential with this Usenet provider.

Binverse Overcharging, poor customer support

Sorry I didn't register before issuing the complaint a few minutes earlier:

As experienced by other trial account users of the usenet service provide Binverse, I was automatically enrolled on a whole-year subscription plan worth $100 when their Terms and Conditions and payment reminder claim to default to a monthly plan of $20+.

Numerous emails to and from them have led to the same documented runarounds as described in
http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/binverse-c223343.html

Despite their claims of being customer-oriented, they have hidden behind their rigid and vague T&C, and are totally unwilling to admit that this is the fish net to trap unwary users who wish to continue using the service after the trial period expires.

Are there more powerful agencies that I can complain to? Is the BBB a possible arbitrator for my case? I really don't wish to create problems for Binverse as their service does work. It's their business attitude and vague, unfair terms that bug me no end.

Help, somebody! Thanks!

I got caught in this trap, too. I discovered they had charged my PayPal account for $99.96. I was unable to even use this so-called service during the free trial period and honestly didn't know they would take my money if you didn't cancel with them. I tried to call and ask that they refund my money beings it was a matter of just a few hours past the trial period and I would cancel my account. The refused to refund and when I asked to speak with a supervisor I get the story that the message will be forwarded to them and I will receive an email. I got a "canned" standard message refusing my request. Does anyone know how to get ahold of them at another number other than thir contact support number? I have registered a complaint through PayPal, but to no avail. I am really upset that they took my $100 and I can't even use their service. I just as well haveput a match to a hundred dollar bill (I would rather dop that than to let them keep my money). We live on a fixed income (Social Security) and that is our grocery money.

Binverse SCAM!!!!!!

Binverse is an absolute scam, they make you think your starting a free trial but after 14 days they automatically sign you up for a 12 month contract costing $99.99 and completely expect you to pay it. I called the customer support hot line to tell them i didn't sign up for a 12 month contract and that I wouldn't be paying them $100. They told me I could cancel my account but it would only be canceling the following years account so I would still "owe" them $100 for the next 12 months, and get this as soon as I canceled I was no longer able to use the binverse service so for the next 12 months they expect $100 and I cant even download anything! I tell you what tho Im never paying them anything and im going to post this all over the internet, Im also considering taking them to small claims court and contacting acouple news stations who frequently do stories about companies who scam people. WHATEVER YOU DO DONT USE BINVERSE, DONT SIGN UP FOR ANYTHING, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW NOT TO SIGN UP WITH THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY! THE CUSTOMER SERVICE HOTLINE IS A JOKE, THEY DONT HELP YOU WITH ANYTHING, THE RUDE LADY ON THE PHONE COULDN'T DO A THING TO HELP ME AND JUST KEPT GOING IN CIRCLES TELLING ME I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO PAY THEM! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

I am also cheated by Binverse, I have received email fro Binverse on 24-Aug-10 saying that 99.96 dollar has been deducted from my Paypal A/c and I had given rights to access the site for 12 months. When I called to their cusotmer service executive to know about the transaction, They told me that it was a Pre-appvoed payment done by you and they will not going to any refund to me. I approched to Paypal to investigate the case. Now reply is pending from paypal.

I advice you guys not to use Binverse, it is a scam site, they are cheating the people.

I did not receive any email informing me they were upgrading my account and they know it! I would have canceled had I received this. They dont want you to cancel so they can carry on with the paypal scam. I was not told anywhere when I signed up for the free trial that I would automatically be charged for a years service with no notification. This is a [censor] company and unfortunately next time Im looking for a usenet provider I will have to do a scam search on the company first. Absolutely unacceptable. Shame on you Binverse!

I signed up for the $1 dollar trail and thats it. I called them and they said that they sent an email TELLING me they would be upgrading me, I told them I recieved no such mail and even if I did I didn't confirm/authorise the transaction. I was told that they are having problems with gmail and thats why I didn't get the mail. Did anyone resolve this?

Binverse Unauthorized Chargers

STAY AWAY! this is one of the worst companies I"ve ever dealt with. Signed up for a "free" 14 day trial. Was out of the country doing business(legitimate business none-the-less, unlike what these clowns do) These guys had the nerve to charge me $100 for a annual membership! Called their 1-800 number and explained that I wouldn't have minded so much if they had just charged me for a month subscription instead of a whole year at once. Customer service reps gave me the run around along with fake names and wouldn't even tell me the company's mailing address. Don't expect them to be in business much longer, because I'm going to make that $100 back that they stole from me whatever way I have to. Even if that means making them hire counsel to see me in a courtroom. I plan on filing a complaint with the New Jersey State Attorney General's Office as well as The Better Business Bureau. I also will be disputing the charge with VISA and dedicating the next 3 months of my life to destroying this companies image.

Avoid this scam operation at all costs! STAY AWAY FROM BINVERSE.COM WHATEVER YOU DO!

I joined and cancelled within an hour because the file that they claimed I could get was not available after signing up.

Not only was my PayPal account charged despite the fact that the website claimed it would not be if I cancelled within the 14 day trial they denied my refund request to PayPal stating that their fee was for a "virtual service" and PayPal had no jusrisdiction. Amazingly PayPaL agreed and closed my case.

They are damn scammers, saying one at first page and second from terms.
I made a chargeback demand to Paypal. And omg Paypal supported these scammers.

I Advise all to report Binverse to IC3 (www.ic3.gov - Internet Crime Complaint Centre)
If you can make a scam report to your local police station.

AND THEY ARE NOT OFFERING A REFUND - well not to me...

The best way to get your money back is go/call to bank and ask for chargeback.

I just signed up with them and had an issue with activation. I called (on a Sunday no less) and spoke with an (American!) representative who helped me immediately.

The Binverse response on this very page shows they take seriously customer service, and I think the clown who posted this complaint is having trouble taking responsibility for the fact that he didn't cancel his account per the user agreement he had to agree to in order to sign up.

Even though they don't owe you a cent, they're offering a refund. So take your bogus complaint elsewhere and accept responsibility for your mistake. What country were you in conducting 'legitimate business' that they don't have internet or email?

Binverse Fraudulent advertising

Binverse.com is a Usenet hosting company that advertises a fourteen-day free trial with 5 GB at their fastest speed and unlimited downloads at a lower speed of I Mbps. In fact, you only get the 5 GB of dowloading, then they try to force you to purchase a plan. You usually use up the 5 GB in the first day, so in fact it is a 1-day trial with a hard 5 GB limit. There is no unlimited, lower speed downloading! Please be forewarned and avoid them at all cost.

I think the lower speed may work if you use their client, but their client is not available for Macs (or Linux, I suspect). So for a lot of us, it is not really available. Most important, they do not reveal these limitations before you sign up. If they are an honest company, they should change their website to reflect the true nature of their offer.

Been using Binverse for almost a year, other then a few connection issues that are usally resolved in a day or two the service has been great.

Not sure why people say their service is a scam, seems obvious to me that you have 14 days for the trial or 5gb whichever comes first. And what exactly are you d/ling that sucks up 5gb in a day?!?

Like most of us whom have used binverse as a 14 day trial either for $1.00 or for free but giving your cc or paypal details in case you want to to proceed with a plan after the trial should have set of enough alarm bells to make you think twice. Like most of you I never thought anything of it I got caught 14 days ago when I received a email thanking me for joining Binverse! I never downloaded their software I never agreed to a plan and because I never answered their emails my bank account was debited $A 107.00 through PayPal without my authorization. THIS IS FRAUD so why is it that credit card companies such as Visa, Mastercard or in my case PayPal do business with fraudulent companies like Binverse. I am sure that they know by now what they do "STEALING OUR MONEY".

A REALLY PISSED OFF wipet43

Binverse is not a good company! It is a very bad company! It is a fraud!

I signed for a free trial and they charged my credit card on the first day before I ever used the service and after I cancelled the account!

And they send me an e-mail confirming the cancellation! Believe that!

I had to block my credit card because I was afraid they could charge it at any time with no reason at all!
I immediately blocked the credit card but already they have charged 6 dollars.

The username and pwd never works and the customer service has no idea of what it is all about..such a junk

Don't do any business with this company! You can pay for no service at all!

BINVERSE IS A SCAM.

Wed, Aug 25, 2010 at 10:06 PM IST -> I signed up for a 14 days Trial account with Binverse. I got an email for the Trial account the same day. I tried using their software for downloading and it was of no help. I understood, this is not for me.

Thu, Aug 9, 2010 at 10:19 PM -> I got a notification on my mobile from my Credit Card providerstating; a transaction of $99.96 USD has been made on my Credit Card through Paypal for Binverse.
I was literally shocked on seeing that.

How can a transaction happen on my Credit Card without my authorisation? This is ridiculous.

I checked my Paypal account and found the transaction.
I got an email from Binverse saying my account has been upgraded to "[BNV26] Value Unlimited - 12 Month".

How can this happen?
I have not asked them to upgrade the account. Literally I was not even aware they have a 12 Month subscription.

No email to get my authorisation for the transaction. I was not expecting this atleast from Paypal.

I thought Paypal is a Corporate with better values.

How can Paypal make a transaction for some scrap on my credit card without my authorisation?

I hope Paypal will get me the refund from binverse

Please friends, dont ever SignUp for Binverse. If you do you are going to be SCREWED ROYALLY.

Absolutely. I never heard of such behaviour in the business. They billed my Paypal account wihout warning
after a trial period I did not use. And refuse to refund.
Somebody should do sometinhg about that.
