I have NEVER received the promised files on my mail
I ask the seller, in a lot of mails, to send it because it costs him nothing, it's just a file. He still refuses.
I do not even ask for a refund, just send (or resend if its a mail problem) the file I paid. But the seller refuses

I have been running phpprobid scripts for over 7 years never had a problem getting anything fixed or new mod, s installed as a matter of fact I am running the new v7.5 that was installed on my server today and no problems ! and I know for a fact that all of those names above are not the same person ! ray is a good guy and has never failed to do the work I have asked him to do ! but if ya are rude to him he will take his time and be rude to you right back ! hell I even have his personal cell number if I have a site problem I cant fix great guy !
Being a long term user of PHP Probid for many years I would like to give you an unbiased review of this software.
For those who are busy or do not wish to read it all, I will sum it up: SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND MONEY - DO NOT BUY THIS SOFTWARE!
Now here are the details and inside views:
PHP Probid has been around for quite some time. Currently there is the V6.X and V7.X branch. V7 has just been released a couple of month ago and aims more at building online store communities while the older V6.X is more focused on building an online auction comunnity. Aside V7.X is very hard to customize and come with some more drawbacks so lets focus on the V6.X branch as this is what someone wanting to run an auction site would be looking at:
The name of the game is BUILT & CUSTOMIZATION because PHP Probid lacks the majority of features you or your customers will need. At first the software looks cheap, priced below the competitors but for a good reason: While the competitor will be more expensive, they are ready out of the box.
PHP Probid however will require you to buy many more mods - mods that the vendors sells in his official mod store and which should be built into the software as a default.
So you have to pay lot more money than you would think at first ... and even worse: Somehow the mode do have to make it into your code. Now the basic code is unfortunately allready pretty bugged and not running smoothling but once you start adding needed mods it gets even worse.
There is NO package installer in PHP Probid but you need to enter all the code manually. The fact that Probid Pro offers about the poorest support on their board which you can imagine doesn't help either. Do a websearch and you will notice that this is a constant customers complain. Some customers even report their sites being hacked due to security leaks.
If you are looking for customer support then do not look at PHP Probid but somewhere else! Also if you are in for a state of the art, ready to run auction software you do not wish to buy PHP Probid. Other vendor's products may look more exensive at first but will save you lots of money and headaches both in the short and long run.
Also be adviced to pay attention to some of the 3rd party mod sellers. If you do a website search you will notice that there is a lot of scam going on with PHP Probid. It is very fishy to say the least.
Especially stay away from Binarywebs / probidv7mods.com / probidv6mods.com / probidscripts.com - it is a scam were buyers do not get their paid for mods and this has been going on for years. But guess what: Probid Pro Officals do not care.
Personally I would recommend to either go for Penny Auctions http://www.ajaxphppennyauction.com/ or Nash Auction Software http://www.nashbrooklyn.com/
Either way just don't waste your time on the uncomplete, bugged and customer care free PHP Probid. I believe there is a good reason why most of the sites running PHP Probid do shut down soon and fail to achieve what they intended to. Don't make your business a failure, start right from the begining.
I've done business with probidscripts.com for over 5 years and have never had a complaint. Go figure.
they got me too, i purchase some mods from probidmodifications.com and they refuse to deliver the mods, what im thinking is that someone hacked into their servers and got full control of the websites, even their paypal account and emails...
the scammer runs promotions using rays servers they make you buy, but they cant deliver because they do not have access to the modules, only ray has them..
recently google had notices of rays sites infecting peoples computers, this is the only thing i can think of, for such a nice script i dont think a legitimate company would do such thing..sites involved probidmodifications.com, www.phpprobidv6mods.com, www.phpprobid.com, not sure on the other sites
so if you give them your site access for work to be done, they are going to hack into your system, so untill ray gets his sites back in order, there is going to be a lot of poeple scammed.

you probably never noticed but all of us (14 people so far) noticed that David at PhpProBid is in fact binarywebs! all of those so-called popular sites they got are all owned by David of ppb (also known as ray or binarywebs or Richard or 100+ other first names and usernames). you better off commit suicide before falling into PhpProBid shenanigan nest!
I also did buy services from Ray Stevens of PHP Probid and sent him USD 500.00 upfront but did not receive a single line of code in return. Despites many claims he also never sent me a reund. So buyers beware it's a fraud.
