Big Screen Plus DID NOT HONOR WARRANTEY

I CALLED BIG SCREEN PLUS ON 10-27-2009 TALKED TO RICK TAWFEEK AND ELPLAINED THE PROBLEM WITH MY 56 INCH JVC BIG SCREEN AND HE SAID THAT HE KNEW WHAT THE PROLEM WAS AND HE WAS VERY INSISTENT THAT HE COULD FIX IT THE SAME DAY, I AGREED, (NOTE: I ALSO HAD A PLUMBER OUT THAT DAY AND WASD CARING FOR A 2 YEAR OLD) ALOT GOING ON, i TRUSTED HIM SINCE HE HAD A LARGE AD IN THE YELLOW PAGES, DID NOT HAVE THE TIME TO CHWECK OUT HIS CREDENTIALS, AGAIN I TRUSTED HIM! MY MISTAKE! HE CAME OUT SEEMED TO KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING, FIXED THE TV I PAID HIM WITH A CHECK HE DID NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS. HE GAVE ME HIS CARD WITH A 90 DAY WARRANTY, THE TV DID THE SAME THING ON [protected], I CALLED HIM AND HE SAID HE HAD TO ORDER THE PART, AND HE WOULD BE OUT ON WED. [protected], HE DID NOT SHOW UP. I CALLED THAT DAY AND HE SAID THE PART DID NOT COME IN ON HIS UPS ORDER BUT HE WOULD COME OUT ON FRIDAY [protected] BETWEEN 4-6 PM. NEVER SHOWED. I THEN CALLED HIM THE ENTIRE WEEKEND AND HE NEVER RETURNED MY CALLS. I REACHED HIM ON SUNDAY [protected] AT 11:00 PM, AND HE SAID HE WAD OUT OF TOWN FOR THE WEEKEND AND SOMEONE ELSE SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAKING HIS CALLS. WOULD BE AT MY HOUSE ON THE FOLLOWING DAY BETWEEN 2-4 PM AGAIN I WAITED, NO SHOW. I THEN KEPT CALLING HIM ON AN HOURLY BASIS AND HE NEVER ANSWERED THE PHONE, I LEFT NUMEROUS VOICE MAILS TO NO AVAIL. NOW I AM LEFT WITH A TV THAT IS STILL NOT IN PROPER WORKING ORDER, AND HE WILL NOT RETURN MY CALLS. I WANT TO PRESS CHARGES BUT DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO AT THIS POINT. I CANNOT AFFORD TO PURCHASE A NEW TV AND SHOULDNT HAVE TO. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS AT THIS POINT?

Big Screen Plus Tv Repair Scam

Called and spoke with Rick Tawfeek about repairing our 51" projection TV. The converter chip had gone out and the colors appeared to be in 3D. He told me that it is normal in projection TV's and he could fix it. The going rate is about $250 to make the repair but offered me a deal if I paid cash. After Rick came to the house and replaced the chip the television seemed to work fine. I did notice that during the repair Rick had multiple chips lying next to him that appeared to be used and I questioned him on it. He told me that the white corrosion on the chip was normal. This may be so. My guess is that he is using parts from used televisions and hopes that his so called "warranty" of 90 days holds out. The warranty was written on a business card. In this case it did not. My television was worse less than 12 hours later. The part he had put in made the tv worse off than before. I called Rick that Saturday morning and he finally got back to me Monday night. He had me try a few things with manual convergence on the settings but none of his ideas worked. He gave me the song and dance about not having his schedule in front of him and he would have to get back with me. Have not heard from him since. We called his parents home which happens to be the same address as his business and spoke with his dad about returning our $200 but still have heard nothing. Don't let me mislead you, this is not a kid going around repairing televisions, it is a grown man. Warning! Under no circumstances would I trust this man to repair your tv. I will be submitting a complaint to the Better Business Bureau.

Big Screen Plus Television Repair was not made

Rick Tawfeek owner of Big Screen Plus, gave me an estimate over the phone said he knew what was wrong with my 32"Sony TV when he came to the house that evening the TV was on and had a good picture after calling friends to get help even though he said he has worked on TV's for 30 years said he would have to research and get back with me the next evening. This was after he had heads upside down lots of unrully lines on the screen and then eventually a blank TVscreen. Took $75. just business cards no invoice wanted check made out to him instead of company never heard from him again even though I left several messages. He finally responded after I talked with his mother and she said she would give him the message, he also had the check payable to his mother on the back, so she was the one who cashed it. That's when I finally realized this guy is a con artist. I didn't have a good feeling when he left, now I knew I was right I should have put a stop payment on it. But I have put a complaint into the BBB.

Rick is a stupid ### son.of a ###! You got that right he's just a got damn con artist! I paid Rick $40 to come look at my 55 inch big screen TV and he said he can fix it and the $40 would go towards the labor and parts which was $175-$40=$135. He came back over to repair the TV and all of a sudden he didn't have a certain piece that he needed so he needed $60 from me to go buy the piece. That was like two weeks ago. So he keeps telling my husband that he's coming by between 5 and 6pm and I haven't seen his face yet. Then he gave us another Guy's number and said that's his partner and that his partner would come repair my tv but this guy has never pictked up his phone. Rick hasn't shown his face or answered his phone. I hope somebody cracks him in his head because that's what he acts like...a crackhead! I'm going to report his ### to the BBB as well. YOU'RE DEAD ### WRONG FOR ALL THESE SCHEMES YOU PULLING ON PEOPLE GOD DONT LIKE UGLY

Big Screen Plus Terrible experience

I have a 50"tv that had quit working I looked in the phone phone book and a big add caught my eye in home repair I called the guy and ask u do all the work in the home? yes he said, he came out check the fuses and said the board has to be replace but you didn't check anything else it could be something small you have no test equipment, so what he is is a board replacement repalce the boards till one fixes it, we have been waiting 4 weeks for that board, still no sign of this guy or my $200.00.

Agreee, been 2 months and $350 and TV still doesn't work, who are these guys?
