Big Lots not having advertised items

Big Lots tends to advertise items that either the store never gets or they get so few of that item that I suspect the employees buy it out first (and employees SHOULD have first crack at a new item). However, in doing this practice, they're getting you into their stores under false pretents. Today, the first day of a two day sale, I went into the store to purchase a tablet at a good price. However, after talking to one of the employees, I got the jist that the item never even made it onto the floor because the 8 that they got in were all bought by employees therefore making it impossible to ANY customer to buy one. This may not technically be a bait and switch, but it sure is close. This is not the first time that I've run into this problem. It happens all of the time.

On another occassion I was in the store to buy a headset for my PC. I had just come from Walmart next door so I knew exactly what Walmart had and how much their prices were. There was a whole side of an isle dedicated to headsets with a very large, very bright yellow sign that simply said "50% off." So I selected two styles that I thought I might like and went to the check out. To my surprise they both rang up regular price. When I asked about it, they said that the sign indicated that it was 50% cheaper than other stores. When I pointed out to them that no where on that sign did it actually say that, they said that's how corporate wants the signs to read. Not only was the sign a straight up LIE, but they weren't the cheapest priced. There were better headsets at Walmart for less cost.

They lie lie lie!

I worked there for nearly a year and the policy states that employees arent allowed to buy an advertised special until the second day of the sale. Now the 2 day sales are just extra sales they throw in there so the item you were looking for had probably already been on a regular sale. The signage in the stores is horrible, there are always signs going down and signs going up, sometimes several diffrent sales going on at the same time and if you are confused so are the employees. It seemed like I spent the better part of some weeks just taking down old signs and putting up new ones (hundreds). On electronic items most of the time they only get a few of anything that going on sale, sometimes as little as 3 pcs. Horribly run company that is continually understaffed on purpose with employees that are driven to reach impossible goals.

Big Lots broken mechanism

My husband and I purchased the Stratolounger Tailgater Tulsa Rocker-Recliner With Heat & Massage as an alternative to a baby rocker. The chair was delivered and within 3 hours of having the chair, the back slid off of the spring and could not be replaced. We were also upset that the massage and heat mechanism did not work when delivered. We contacted both Stratolounger and the store we purchased the chair from. Both companies were happy to replace the chair at no charge, except that they would not deliver the chair (we paid for a second delivery). This second chair worked nicely for about four months, then the massage and heat mechanism broke. My baby was born, and three months later the chair's back felt like it shifted out of its slot. We won't be replacing the chair, as it still rocks, but we won't purchase another piece of furniture from them either.

Big Lots Should Not Support the Harassment of Minors
On January 26, 2013 my children and I were shopping at store #5113 on University drive and Atlantic blvd in Coral Springs, Florida. As my 2 sons briefly left my side to search for the restroom, they were approached by a store employee named “Jason”. Jason very rudely demanded that my children pull up their pants and stop looking at him cross eyed. My children were very intimated and ashamed that an employee spoke to them this way; I was outraged and informed the store manager about this awful encounter with a Big Lots employee. The manager informed me that “Jason” had a history of speaking harshly to minors who are not accompanied by an adult. I completely understand that children can be mischievous, but my sons were merely searching for the restroom.
As a loyal customer to Big Lots, I ask that management instruct their employees on how they should speak to customers and their family members. Harassing children should not be tolerated. I ask that a policy and procedure be instituted on the correct manner in which an employee speaks to minors, not accompanied by an adult, no other child should be subjected to the embarrassment that my children endured. I look forward to maintaining my customer relations with Big Lots, but I will not tolerate an organization that allows their employees to harass minors.
Thank you,
Beatrice P.

I told her who in the world saves the wrapping which the furniture was wrapped in she told me she does ! o.k.? after much going back and forth she admitted that certain couch has had a lot of problem. We asked for a refund and she said no she said she will give a new one( the same one ) and would call when it was ready to pick up. It has been over two months and no call to us. Big Lots - employee

Its not just Canada, They are run that way from what I hear everywhere. I worked in Colorado and it is horrible there. They are told to clean up the stores get rid of managers and employees and get new people in there. Customers at Big Lots want to know their cashier by name, they remember the Store Managers Birthday, they stop to ask the Furniture Manager...

Big Lots needs a better manager

I recently spent $125 on cleaning supplies, storage stuff for my house.. I was so excited to save, but unfortunately after I bought my items and went home,. I realized the curtain rod I purchased for $10!.00 was missing?.

I called the manager, they said they looked at the register and found nothing". Then looked outside (Which I don't understand) ;. I completely unloaded my cart into my van;. She said, I must have left the item outside;. (That's insulting... For one, i'm extremely careful not to leave things in a cart. I have children, so it's part of my routine when shopping).

I asked if I could come get another or exchange for cash. She said no, I must have left it outside. Horse-### say... I see how their employees work, there is always crap scattered in the aisles, the place is a disorganized mess. I'm pissed and I plan to contact their management at a very high level. Terrible service and I feel insulted. It's only $10, but I work my ### off and spend easily 100 dollars a month at big lots. Not anymore, you just lost a customer.

Big Lots is a huge disorganized mess. I went to our location today and purchased four items. The cashier that checked me out seemed out of it and really crabby. Took my bag and when I emptied it at home, my small $2.00 jar of Sanka instant coffee was missing. Obviously never put in the bag. Big Lots needs some better personnel that care and a manager to look after all the chaos in the aisles.

Big Lots warranty

Recliner mechanism broke in 7 months. The warranty is for 5 years, but you have to find someone to put the part on, and pay for it..Unbelievable! A good company like Lazy Boy will come to your home and fix it for free within the first year. Don't buy a Stratolounger. they are not well made.

Big Lots very upsetting experience

I went into your big lots store at 7951 S. Broadway in Littleton, CO. I was shopping for a birthday gift for my Grandson. When I was in the toy isle I noticed a Dinosaur toy(prehistoric pet) that was on an advertised sale for $15.00. When I took this toy up to the register it rang up at $39.99 I showed the cashier the sign and stated it was the only one back there and the sign was on the self directly under the toy. She called the Assistant Manager(Payton) and he stated he could not make the choice as there was a big difference between the two prices and the advertisement expired on 10/29.

He called a store Manager(Linda) and she asked if it was the same sku#, and the cashier said no it rang up as a prehistoric pet however not a pterodacyl. So what is wrong with this? Advertisements not being pulled a toy that has the same name (prehistoric Pet) and the store did not honor this. I can’t begin to say how upsetting this is for the consumer. This leads to very bad business.

Big Lots return service

I was 10 days past their 30 day return service (most chain stores give 90 days) because the return counter was too long after new years when I made the 1st attempt to return my 15 dollar mp3 player that the store was still selling. I would have been fine with a store credit although my item was unopened and I had a receipt but instead I got patronized and berated by a rude service rep (Kyle Parker) at their call center who said READ THE RECEIPT NO EXCEPTIONS...not only do the have jerks operating their store but their return service is horrible. I will never shop their again.

Big Lots horrible employee/management treatment

The abusive and degrading treatment by this company to it's own employees and managers is disgusting. They talk a big game about being a great place to work but it is the worst work enviroment I have ever been involded with. The cut your shifts on a whim and without notice, then call you in for shifts on 5 minutes notice and if you don't jump, you are writen up and yelled at. They fire managers that care about their staff, and if you dare to offer a comment to the district manager, then you are told to leave and don't come back! They say they are looking after the customer but you are told to ignore them if they get in the way of your tasks! You have to sell over-priced dollar store items and cheaply made furniture, and if you don't sell it fast enough you are told that you are useless and incompetant. Our regular customers hate this company and have changed their shopping habits because of the poisinous enviroment in the store. As I am starting a new job at a good company next month, I am glad I will only have to listen to the pompus stories from the district manager on "how great they are" and how stupid everyone else is.
Keep away from big lots canada and lw stores - they are horrible!

I have worked for this company for more than ten years. It was once a nice company to work for, but is no more. Our store is often understaffed, with one cashier, a manager on duty, and a recovery or two. It is impossible to recover that store perfectly with two - sometimes one - in three or four hours. Though payroll budget is tight, we are expected to do as much as a crew of ten did on a given shift some years ago. We are expected to work at peak performance for hours on end, with long lines, tiny work spaces and irate customers. Associates are afraid to speak up about the way they are treated for fear of losing their jobs. The building is dreary, rundown and in a crime-ridden neighborhood. It is no secret that the powers that be are out to get those who stand up for themselves, for morals and ethics. If you are middle-aged or older and have worked there fort a long time, they make your life miserable so you will quit. If you hang in there, they write you up for infractions you never knew of. Management does not communicate to associates and act snotty when asked for assistance. Gossip is rife, and managers are the guiltiest! It is disheartening to have been a loyal, honest and diligent employee for so long, only to be treated as a "disciplinary problem" because I have worked there long enough to make a couple of dollars more than minimum wage. It is an outrage that I have worked as stocker, cashier, cash office coordinator and CSS and, despite all those skills and experience, to be considered overpaid. That is what my store manager called me to my face - overpaid! Yes, this situation is rampant in BL stores everywhere. If the sales fall below last year's figures, it is never due to bad management. No! It is blamed on associates. I am neither a thief nor a goldbricker, and I have earned every brown cent Big Lots has paid me many times over!

Its not just Canada, They are run that way from what I hear everywhere. I worked in Colorado and it is horrible there. They are told to clean up the stores get rid of managers and employees and get new people in there. Customers at Big Lots want to know their cashier by name, they remember the Store Managers Birthday, they stop to ask the Furniture Manager about his pet, and tell the stockers/recovery how nice the store looks today. Its stores like Big Lots that ruin statistics on Employee theft and customer service. The DM's and LP's are stresser's in the store unless you are their friend of course then you can use the usual excuses and its acceptable. What do we expect though when they have retired Monkey Wards employees or Pizza Hut /Taco Bell Managers running the place. ( I think the CEO is from like Pizza Hut/Taco Bell) The District in Colorado is run by a bunch of Donald Duck Characters. They blame employees and store managers when in fact its the crap they feed to the store managers and employees that ruin the stores. They set you up for failure and treat you like a thief because they get rewarded for having caught a thief. Seriously do you know how much easier it would be on everyone if they treated their employees like Safeway does. Treat them with respect and your customers will get respect. Bank tellers get paid very little and they dont have the stress level that Big Lots does, because they dont treat their cashiers like thieves. Now seriously what would you rather steal some outdated food from Big Lots or some cash from a Bank. Hopefully neither but you get the idea right? Well Big Lots has a few Big Headed small p***s characters (at least in Colorado) that think they are protecting Fort Knox or something. Oh wow we got DVD's in lets lock em up tight in that there cage and count them daily. Seriously I gotta laugh now at some of the stuff they do in there. Our LP told us employees were stealing register tape and selling it for thousands on Ebay. Like we just laughed about him when he leaves but he really thought he was putting us through his test, and this guy would poop his pants if someone flinched at him. You know he has new title now CFI. You can guess what that stands for. OMG just saw that the Fearless Leader of Big Lots left his people, how funny is that? Well I hope I have helped you feel better about not being so alone in the Big Lots World.

Big Lots bait and switch

On October 23 Big Lots advertised a Cuisinart Thermal Coffeemaker with gold-tone filter basket for $49. Being a bit disabled, I sent my stepson to their Webster store to purchase it. A store employee pointed out the "advertised" maker on a shelf and he purchased it using his bank debit card. However, when he brought it to me it was not the one advertised, a glass pot instead of a stainless steel thermal pot. The maker had been sacked at checkout and being a windy day, evidently a gust blew away the receipt tucked under his thumb on the way to putting it in his car. Now Big Lots refuses to exchange it for the advertised model nor even give a store credit. We've never asked for cash.

After a rude store employee hung up on me on the phone, I have sent a half dozen emails to Big Lots ([protected]@biglots.com) only to receive obstinate answers saying there is no way I can take the coffeemaker back for exchange or a store credit even though I have a bank statement showing that Big Lots debited my account that day for $53.

Visited the Brunswick, Ga store today to return a bedspread in the original packaging... never been open.
Local store as well as corporate office REFUSED to give me a credit or cash refund w/o the sales slip, which has been lost.
I've been a constant shopper at Big Lots through the years and this is the very first item I have ever wanted to return.
I WILL NOT SHOP THE STORE IN THE FUTURE and WILL SHARE MY EXPERIENCE WITH EVERYONE I MEET> YOU HAVE LOST A GOOD CUSTOMER! :(

This is to comment on our Big Lots Mentor store. Recently I purchased some furniture with the 20% off rewards. Dave Zajac was the employee who took care of my purchase. I would just like to say, it sure would be nice to have more employees treat us as effiecently and courtious as Dave was. Also he knows his postion very well. Stock numbers by memory. He handled my first furniture shopping experience in a professional timely fashion. In closing, a big shout out to Dave

This comment is to commend Dave Zajac, at our Mentor, Ohio store. I recently purchased furniture during a very busy 20% off rewards sale. Dave was very busy, yet he was kind, curtious, and very efficent. A big shout out to Dave. Thank you, and I look forward to doing business there again.

This is to comment on our Brownwood, Texas Big Lots. Our Big Lots must be the best one out there...always clean and organized, which must be tricky because there is so much new, small merchandise arriving all the time. But their biggest asset is the helpful staff. I lost my handbag in the store and the clerks, Linda in particular, really went out of their way to help me find it. And I did find it with everything inside safe and sound.I am very appreciative! Thank you Big Lots and thank you Linda!

I just wanted to say that I haven't been to my local BIG LOTS! in about 8 months (Burleson, TX), only because the store was filthy, unorganized, and customer service was definitely lacking. As soon as I walked in I could IMMEDIATELY tell that the store had a new Manager (Chad Hilker). I walked every inch of the store (being in retail for 25 years myself), and was pleasantly surprised. The new manager has made a HUGE difference, and he should be proud of this store/staff. As I was checking out, I asked the cashier (Christie, I think) if the store had a new manager and she said "yes". I told her how impressed I was with the new make-over. She commented that I should "Tell him, he's right over there with the DISTRICT MANAGER." I did (2 of the nicest men I have ever met). I will continue to shop at this location and tell my friends as well. Thank you to the BURLESON, TX store for a GREAT shopping experience.

Big Lots - lack of drug testing

They should really start to drug test their employees. Especially managers.. These employees went back into the store and stocked shelves. The appearence was that of a drugged look... Mentioned something to the...

Big Lots Coode of business Conduct and Ethics states HR manual will be made available to any employee. This is NOT the case at the Lima, Ohio store. This is the second time I have been REFUSED access to said policy manual. It is apparent to me that Big Lots fears information contained in HR manual would undermine their poor management.

i am an employee at store #4627, in Colorado Springs, CO. I was hired for a stocking/cashier position. During the hiring process, almost a yr ago, i was given .50 cents above minimum wage. This is because i have a lot of experience. Given that I work such early hours, and am part of the team that has the hardest position within the store, i felt i could do this. The position, as a lot know, involves unloading the weekly truck. A truck usually filled with 1000's of pieces that have to be, for the most part taken out piece-by-piece. This includes the extremely heavy furniture pieces that are way too heavy. to be expected to be moved singly. The "higher ups" within this corporation obviously have no clue what the process is like. They would maybe figure out that putting the many many boxes on pallets just may be easier to unload. Or maybe even realize that the pieces of furniture could also be moved easier if on pallets. Instead, they make sure the trucks are filled to the max, with a lot of unnecessary products and merchandise. The process usually takes about 4 hours of non stop, strenuous, bone hard labor No breaks are allowed until the truck is empty. It is unbelievable the audacity of these exec's to want the truck unloaded and placed on pallets, divided up. Once unloaded, there is an insane amount of product, making it difficult to even walk through warehouse. The limited amount of hours offered for this position is just not logical. This position, not only deserves a much higher pay, but enough hours to get it out on the shelves.
The fact is, this stocking position is way underpaid, and overworked. Going in at 2, or 3, or 4, or sometimes mid night would not be so bad if you were having to come in for more than 4 hours. It is wrong that a young girl can get moved into a position that you not only requested many weeks ago, told that it can happen, but can make as much as i do for the fraction of the labor. Especially when they are half your age. Simply, the logic is lacking when it comes to shifting positions from within, and starting new employees in the position i have been in for almost a yr.
Next, i was completely appalled when my .50 cents above minimum wage was taken away from me when the min wage was raised.Minimum wage was passed for a reason. If the cost of living went up, it went up for all Americans, including Big Lots associates. My, manager said she put the request in for this to be put back on and told me to make make sure that on my app there is previous experience included. Well this has been almost 2 months ago Part of my previous experience includes Big Lots. I am a former employee, with a 120 number. When i ask about the issue, i am told to hold on, an answer is still being waited on. This is leaning toward an unfair working environment, , making it harder and harder to want to get up at the wee hours of the morning, bust my butt (cramming 8 hours of work into 4 hours is also expected). it is highly illogical for such a huge corporation to see how these practices of expecting intense labor, with lower pay than even mc donalds employees, expecting full time progress in minimal time that is usually 4 hours and not seeing that the majority of hours should be divided up, favoring the most difficult of positions in the store. There really is no benefit to these practices Results are always more work than should have been necessary, or lack of concern for the look of the products for the customers, low morale, uneasy and resentful feelings. It is unnecessary and there is a code of ethics that i am positive the point of being crossed over the line is within a steps away. i t is unfortunate because i have a high work ethic myself that is starting to diminish. I don't want to find myself looking for other employment, but i know i am expendable. Which is also very hard to accept. I pray things change for the better. Work environment for all is more beneficial when there is a camaraderie and fairness. Logically, this makes a more pleasant shopping environment as well.

I have been with Big Lots in Massachusetts for about 6 months and started as a stocker. I agree with all your points 100%! Their systems are counter-productive and the goals they set are unattainable unless you find ways to cheat the system. Upper management does not seem to care about what goes on they are only focused on furniture sales and ridiculous loss prevention guidelines. If they were really focused on theft why would you set-up the store with the highest theft items in the hardest to monitor location. Oh and how about how much stuff is damaged on tge truck because of tge insane way that it is shipped.

I enjoy my job and the people I work with but I have taken a position elsewhere because basically the place is slowly killing me. I have spent the last 20 years developing efficiency practices in my chosen field and Big Lots by far has been the least efficient place I have ever work. So much time and energy gets wasted. It also kills morale and drains workers causing high turn-over. We are even having trouble hiring because of the work evironments bad reputation. I hope things get better!

I think the problem is with the computer system they require managers to use. Once I understood the system I could see how inefficient is was and how much difficulty it caused. Managers are also penalized for changes they make to it forcing them to wait until last minute to publish it. If managers were not so afraid to complain about maybe corporate would be willing to change it. I cannot imagine they did too much beta testing or they would realize how much more complicated they have made the process.

I WORKED at the Big Lots in Tempe, AZ, and the manager, Becky, apparently does not know SOP, confused, it is illegal to fire an associate "Off the Clock"...Manager 101. I called out for my 1, 3 hour shift of the week, because I had to work my full time job, which was addressed in my interview, after holiday season, and this lady, the manager, which i have had 2 conversations with my whole time employed, tells me i am unreliable. WOW, to whomever had the balls to hire an uneducated and inexperienced manager to run their store! A blessing in disguise. Thanks. DUSTY MORRISON. EMPLOYEE 1697721

"There is nothing in it that pertains to your inquiry" or " I have to get permission from the higher ups" then never get back with me. Those statements sound tantamount to a refusal to me!

Big Lots assustant manager

My daughter in law and I went to Big Lots on the evening of 4th of July at 830, the store closes at 900pm. We wanted to purchase some cold water and use the restroom while we were there, when we got there a sign stated no public restrooms on the door, Big Lots has public restrooms in this store. We went in and immediatley heard over the speaker everyone "get your STUFF and get to the front, we are closing, you have 20 minutes to get up front" we knew of some things we wanted to look at, so we went to the back and was looking at some bedding, and someone was already in the restroom, here comes the assistant manager and started telling us to leave (others were waiting too) I asked her if she sells cold water we were wanting some and she said, i dont care what you want, we are closing! all she was concerned with was who was in the bathroom, how long they had been in there, and it was someone who went in just as we came up, another man asked her to speak to the manager, she shouted at him and was poking herself in the chest and screamed I AM THE MANAGER! my daughter and law and I had enough, I told her we would leave, but we would never be back." I have bought over a $1000 in merchandise at Big lots in the past little while, as I am planning a move. I told her i was going to report her, she said go ahead! I walked over to her and asked her what her name was she put her badge in my face and said it is RHONDA! she was the most rude person i have ever dealt with at Big lots, i will not go back, I was going to find a Big Lots when i Move but now, i will look somewhere else, Rhonda doesnt need to work in the public, and I do not appreciate being yelled at, she kept screaming I HAVE TO CLEAN THOSE BATHROOMS! but I bet that is part of her job. Big Lots needs to look at the quailty of "Managers" in their Rogersville Store and let Rhonda go home.

Not to excuse her behavior but I was an Asst Manager at BigLots for about 8 months and she was probably working with almost no help (sometimes it would be me a cashier and one other person to close the entire store) but expected to get out on time and have everything perfect. I quit this job cause I didn't want to take the crap anymore and its the first time Ive ever done that in over 34 years of working. While there is no excuse for rudeness people in retail, especially managers are being pushed to the limit.

Big Lots a lesson in crass behavior.

All of you who want lessons on crass and obtuse behavior, quickly head over to big lots in lansdale, pa. I had an embarrasing experience the other day while trying to return an ironing board I bought there. The thing would not fold back down after less than three weeks of use. The cashier and floor manager insisted they could not take it back unless I had the original packaging. I asked them who in their practical sense ever keeps plastic wrappings after buying an ironing board. In any event, the item was wrapped in clear plastic beneath which was tucked a square piece of paper with enough information on it to let you know you were buying something made in china. I had shopped this particular store for 8 (Eight) years. Theirs and mine are famliar faces. The impression being created at that time to all those customers lining waiting to check out was that I was attempting a fraudulent transaction. The item was eventually accepted for exchange, but with obvious scowling and scorn on their faces. That's the one store I am sure if it were not for breaking the law, customers would be spanked as a matter of routine.

Big Lots false advertising

I have made numerous trips to Big Lots for items advertised in their flyer.

I have called all the stores in my area to see if they have the sale item in stock the same day the ad came out. No stores stock the items advertised in the flyer. I did this to save gas, because they never once have had what I went to get advertised in the paper. No rain checks are offered. It is a bait and switch type of operation. I will not be shopping there again. It is always a big let down. They advertise things they don't have just to get you in their store. This is a poor way of doing business.

I just attempted to get the 9" Android Tablet on sale for Black Friday at a cost of $79 (Oklahoma City Store). I got in line at 4 AM as the 8th customer in line. Doors were scheduled to open at 6 AM, but at 4:30 the manager peeked her head out and asked for all that were interested in the tablet to step forward as there were only 15 available. I stepped forward to get a voucher that stated "TO PURCHASE TAKE THIS TICKET TO CASHIER. PANDIGITAL 9' ANDROID 2GB TABLET. CUSTOMER #8. LIMIT ONE PER CUSTOMER."
When I got in the store I picked up a few other items but thought I had a sure thing with the voucher. I got to the cashier only to find out that they were "sold out." I asked how it happened and the rude cashier kept saying "we're sold out." The manager that gave me the voucher tried to ignore my inquiries but finally acknowledged me by asking for my phone number so she could give me one if one happens to be returned! The other stores are sold out as well.

I agree. I saw a flyer for their Memorial day sale and went to buy some stuff. I was there in the store as soon as it opens and asked one of the employees to help me finding the listed item. She told me that the item listed is sold out. The flyer clearly said the sale is for Memorial day weekend and I was in the store on first day of the sale. If they dont have the item why are they listing it in the flyer and giving an attractive price for that item?

Big Lots stay away

If big Lots offers aprice hold or layaway guarantee they should honor it. Who sells merchandise that someone else has paid cash money on for them to hold. Who does Big Lots Wade Green Road in Kennesaw Ga thats who does. They suck for that. Especially for us who can't afford to by furniture at bigger retailers. I think it is bad customer sevice and they need to work on that will never shop there again.I much rather pay more money for better customer service than to drive all over Atlanta for a bunch of ### service that they have given me. They dont hold to there contracts its all around bad business and ethics.

Big Lots - refund policy - returns without a receipt

I have worked for Big Lots for 9 years and I feel the need to enlighten you all on the policies. First, on the back of EVERY receipt AND listed on the big policy board above the service desk, it states" no receipt, no return", that simple. Now, if you received it as a gift and don't have the receipt, be a nice person and give it to someone else or sell...

Big Lots big junk

From all the stuff that I bought from "Big Lots", only a few items survived the first 60 days. For example: I still have the window curtains... (this is the kind of stuff you can buy from them) - anything that can fail, will fail right after their 30 day return period expires. They know why they are not offering 90 days like Walmart... if you consider that the sooooooo cheap stuff from them ends up in the garbage can within a few months, you might agree that the price is not that great.

It's stuff that was overstock somewhere else that didn't sell, and they bought it on the cheap. Not a secret hidden truth, that's what they tell you. Not hard to realize.
