This is to inform you that the customers are getting cheated so badly with Big Bazar. Today I had a very bad experience with biz bazaar, Old Madrass Board Bangalore, which has never happened in my life. I should say my bad luck I felt like buying a refrigerator from Big bazaar at 11 am today [protected]).

I wanted it to be delivered before 3 pm at my house. Else I wanted it to be delivered next day since there was some emergency at 3 pm. They did not turn up. I called the person who is in charge when i was selecting the refrigerator (Mr Kamal), according to him the vehicle had started at 1 pm it will reach in another 10 min. this went on till 7 pm in the evening. Then I had to talk to the Asst Manager in charge of this section (Mr. Santhosh). Both of them did not know where the refrigerator is. They didn’t have information regarding this. But they kept on telling it will reach in 10 minutes and stared giving all the wrong numbers and numbers which never work to find out where the refrigerator is. At the end it was delivered at around 7.30 pm and when we opened the pack it was a wrong refrigerator (Cheaper one) .

What does all these means? Is this the way Big Bazaar service customers. Or Is this the way Big Bazar finds to cheat/fool the customers?

I have never ever had such bad experience from any of the malls or shops.

I had a terrible experience with Big Bazaar (BB) Old Madras Road, Bangalore. I would suggest that no one ever purchase any furniture’s from BB.

I ordered and made payment for Marvel Sofa set (3+1+1), matching Diwan and centre table on 31-Dec-2010. BB promised to deliver it within 48 hours. We got the mismatched Sofa set on 01-Jan-2010, along with Diwan and Centre table. We immediately notified their mistake. Thanks to their crap approval system, we ordered the Sofa set again on 03-Jan-2010 on a payment of Rs. 5000 extra. (Quoting the price of the correct Sofa set is Rs. 5000 more than the delivered sofa set.) BB guys promised that they would take away the wrong Sofa set on 04-Jan-2010 and deliver us the correct Sofa set on 05-Jan-2010 or latest by 06-Jan-2010. Neither they called to inform the status nor did they took the wrong sofa set or delivered the correct sofa set till 06-Jan-2010. Upon making at least 20 calls to BB guys and 2 extra trips to BB, they delivered us demo piece on 07-Jan-2010. We didn’t accept the demo piece and sent it back to them.

Initially we dealt with Ms. Lakshmi (Asst Manager), who does not know how to deal with or rather speak to customers. She shouts at us and does not listen to our concerns, forget about addressing them. We took our issue to her higher up, so called customer-relation office or something, Mr Arun. After the usual “I will look into this matter. Sorry for the delay and furniture would be sent today by 9:30pm” the typical crap. They called to say it wouldnot be possible to deliver until the next day. Missing the deadline, he is now forcing us to accept the demo piece.

When we had placed the order on 31-Dec-2010 or again on 03-Jan-2011, they should have informed us that we shall not be getting a box piece. On demanding a box piece, suddenly Mr. Arun decides to give a refund, which will take another 6 days for processing, Instead of apologizing and sending us the sofa set.

Our time, energy, money and petrol (3 extra trips to BB) are all spent and not to forget the harassment by Ms. Lakshmi and false promises by Mr. Arun. We don’t know when will we get out sofa or money back!

Big Bazar is simply making fool of public, they make mistakes in billng (double) if we didn't chek on spot then we have go 2 mall.so it good 2 chakeout the billson spot, often in hurry we don't properly.

Dear Sir,

Please see the atachment of complain, need your foucus o the installation team i have three concern.
1)Delay in instalation
2)usafe, poor and non technical installation.
3)abnorma noise

Because of this issue i have not used the AC so far.

Hi Friends im siddhik from chennai i want to tell the real fact of biz bazzar chennai in royapuram branch it was opened by recently but in there was no one should gave the proper response the customers coz last month 28th my mom went to booked samsung fridge through net cash but they are delivered fridge on after 4days only in dat piece was a damage piece so i maked a call to dat showroom members and manager also but still now i not yet to get my problem rectified stil now they are not replaces the fridge so u have to think vat a great approach to customer's really it not a big bazzarit is soo sooooo soooo sooooooooooooooooooooo bad bazzar, in chennai

Reading all these messages, I feel this is not only the case with Biz Bazar but with every business in India. Indian market is seller's market not buyer's market. The customer associates, even for that matter the company have no idea of Consumer service. They feel as if they are doing a favour by selling the product and it is consumer duty to buy the product without asking any question or expecting after sales service. Further, the warranty do not mean anything. Even if the product stops working the next day also it is repaired with suspsion and not replaced. And refund of Money is beyond question and not heard.

100% true about BigBazaar, For nameshake it is BIG but service is Zero, It is not a customer service oriented . Pleasew dont go for buying any Electric or electroincs items

The big bazar, old madras road, bangalore gave me such a bad experience, which make me to never look to them again.
I booked a cot, mattress and a TV table on 03.01.09 but till now even after so much calls and perosnal meet the goods are still not delivered me fully.they send cot, mattress one day after 25 days of booking...then there fitter came after 3 days after so much calls.Still (26.02.09) TV table is not delivered to me, even I paid them fully on 3 jan 2009 itself.
Its this way to treat the customer. If they are not able to delivered the goods on time, then why they are taking the orders?
Junta, who are planning for some order from there...be prepare to be foolish and tortured by them...

I booked a cot on 11th Jan, 2009 at Koramangala Big Bazar outlet, Bangalore. Delivery was supposed to happen on 23rd Jan. I had followed up with the furniture store person thrice before 23rd to confirm about the delivery. On 23rd i got a call from Big bazar wearhouse confirming my address and that the delivery will happen at 6:30 PM in the evening.

I had booked my tickets to my home town based on this assurance. However i did not get the delivery at 6:30 PM and i had to make atleast more than 10 calls. In fact i had to beg them to give me some details. None of them helped me in a responsible way. I waited till 10 PM in the night and missed my bus to my home town. At 10:30 i got a call from one person who promised to deliver the cot the next day ( 24th) with in 8:30 AM.

Again based on this i booked my bus ticket for 10:30 AM and there was no clue of the delivery. I waited till 10 AM and missed my bus again. Finally i had to call up Big bazar and cancel my order. I have spoken to some customer support people, but nobody has helped me.
Now they are making me run around for the refund. This is pathetic service and quality. I will make sure that this will be escalated thru our company's media to one and all. It is pure harassment after making the entire payment. I will not recommend Big bazar to any one and will not step in to it again in my life.

I am planning to go to the consumer forum if nothing works out.

I agree with Big Bazar sells cheap and low quality items for higher prices. I bought instant Kanchan rice sevai locally manufactured at Palakkad from Palakkad Big Bazar.

It is full of small stone grains and totally low quality product which never I found in any instant I bought. I bought five packets and tried with every packet. Big Bazar should immediately withdraw this item from shelves. How can I sue the manufacturer and Big Bazar for selling this kind of products ?

i think bigbazaar imporve our cutomer service...and make loyalty in cutomer mind

I purchased a Ronix 21 TV from big bazar koramangala on 15.08.2006.Due to some power problem the tv malfunctioned and i called the big bazar koramangala and they told they dont have any information about the manufacturer.They had sold nearly 1000 tv of this model during that period and i dont know how they sell products without verifying the manufacturers integrity.As far as i had experienced in big bazar you have to be very careful when they bill as they say one thing and do another.its better tto avoid this chain as there are lots of new one which are friendly and reliable

Hi,

This is sumit . After reading all the complains above now i am worried about the delivery of a TV which is bought on 15/08/2008. As per the commitment date it was suppose to deliver on 18/08/2008 but all in vain. Still today they asked me one more day to deliver the same .

We should not let them treat us this way as the money we spent is all our hard earned money and this is the worst mall i went to till date . I shd have gone to a local shop and bye the TV . Hopefully tommow i will get but not shure after reading all this .

im totally shocked to see the response of big bazaar people when i had caught them overcharging beyond mrp and then they said its billing mistake im sure they are fooling hundred of people outthere who think that they are saving there money and hence are getting fooled by themselves by purchasing goods from big bazaar .

TO WHOM SO EVER CONCERN THIS TO INFORM YOU THAT I BOUGHT A MOBILE PHONE (FLY SX 210) ON 28 TH JANUARY 2008 FOR Rs 8000 BUT I GOT THE BILL FOR FLY SX 100 WHERE AS WHEN I HAVE TO GIVE IT FOR SERVICING I REQUESTED FOR THE BILL MR VINOD SHARMA (MOBILE DEPARTMENT MANAGER) GAVE ME THE BILL CORRECTED BILL DATED FOR 28 TH JANUARY 2008 FOR Rs 7400 WHY IS IT SO YOU SHOULD GIVE THE AS PER THE CURRENT DATE & SHOULD REFUND ME THE Rs 600 AS IT WAS THE MISTAKE FROM YOUR IF YOU THE COPIES OF IT ON IT IS ON MY EMAIL SO PLEASE DO THE NEEDFUL.

Meaning of Big Bazar is Big cheaters. They will adavatisement that they will give cheapest than other Retailers. But only they will advatise for attractions. But they will cheat people. They will tell if you get bill cheaper than Big Bazar, they will give money back & if we go & show the bill no body will response. This is called bigbazar. Means Big Cheaters. I will give suggestion to Big Bazar to just change their name to BIG CHEATERS. It will suit perfectly.

Complient for BIGbazar old madras road Bangalore.
Today 25-0108..I had a bad experience..
First thing is that why they are opened Big bazar..is it for fun and discourage to the customer..?
If they want to run a business customer is the key.
But i felt very much bad...around 3.00pm . i have selected some items along with micro wave and some cloths etc ...(more then 2 hour searched)
I have asked the sells guy to bill it in the 4th floor itself,he said pilling will be done on the ground floor.
Finally in billing i have waited 1 hour after my tern came,while billing the barcode is not there for some cloths and in the microwave box aswell. i asked that guy to if you have details based on you bill it or call to 4th floor guy or send some one to get the barcode...
The guy was replayed like this ..i cont do all this if you want, goto 4th floor and 2nd floor... and laughing (think if i go there again i have to carry all the stuff and again i have wait in the Q for another one hour).
and there is no superwiser for coperate to the customer.
Finally i have cancelled all the items and came out empty ..last the day.
This is the way treating to the custome...?
Please do best for the customer.

I too had bad experience with this guys. I have ordered for one dining table and arm chair. They delivered dining table but not the arm chair. If I call the person, he is telling there is no stock. While we were billing they told within a week. Nobody is coming for fitting also. It is not the correct way to treat the customer.

If anybody have some information about how to sue this people please let me know.

big bazar is providing very cheap materials for very high cost.the vegetable that we get from palakkad big bazar is not in good quality but have to pay more.same thing we can get from outside in a cheap rate

Big Bazar is simply making fool of public. They are telling that we cannot buy any product cheaper than in big bazar but they are afraid to tell the price of the product. I went there and noted price of some products to see weather it is cheap or not. The manager of big bazar near Forum came and took that paper from my hand without my permission. They are scared. But I have noted many of its price and compared with other retail stores . I found that the products in Big Bazar are very costly,and old . They can write

The MRP of magi is Rs 10 and it costs Rs 9.8 in Big Bazar . See how generous they are. I have decided to make people aware of this and going to campaign using consumer forum against their practices.

I too had very bad experience yesterday, dec 2, 2007. There is gold rush offer going on. They say gold coin for purchase of Rs. 999/ one bill not with two combined bills. We purcahsed for about Rs. 2100/ in one bill and the person says only one coin for one bill and he donot even has stock of coins, and asking people to come and collect later. This is a BIG BAZAR's BIG CHEATING. people simply rush and buy many things, but no one is speaking against this there.

is as small and worst as the un governed road side dhabha. I also had experienced like others. I happened to visit BIG BAZAR, Banashankari on the 01/11/07 and liked the sofa set and decided to buy and I did with the payment of instant against the bill No:12444. Kind of color choice we had given, was not available on the day, so we were assured that within next 15 to 20 days it will be delivered at my residence . All went in vain, no one from customer care of furniture division felt necessity to speak the truth of the present status of the delivery of the sofa set. Now I am panicked if at all I will receive the sofa. Despite of calling them repeatedly and asking for the contact # of the person concern MR. KIRAN, answer, mobile is stolen or call you back after (never ending )half an hour. I believe the authority BIG BAZAR should be put before the consumer forum for their extensive way of cheating and bulling customers, to be dealt with. I pray that we get the Sofa set which we have not yet received any committed message.

Hats off to such amazing administration of BIG BAZAR.

I am also facing the same bad experience... I have purchased a 21 inch color TV from big bazaar Bangalore (near forum). They said that it will be delivered the next day by 4 pm, but they didnt. When I called them they said that it was dispatched one hour back. We waited all the day but the TV didnt reach us. Again we called them back, the irresponsible manager said there was no stock and asked for silly excuses. Still we dont receive our TV set. The management is really really poor!

I have gone to 2 BigBazar of Kolkata and the experiences are horrible. Once I bought a raincoat. and luckily it started raining. I went out wearing it, and I was drenched. Big Bazar refused to take it back. I had another experience with shirts in Bigbazar. It was horrible.

SO KEEP AWAY FROM THEM!

Even I had similar experience with BIG BAZAAR, I would say this is the worst mall I have every seen in my life.. I bought a mobile (worth 10,000) from there and after 3 days it stopped working when I went there to log a complaint they said madam we don’t take care of servicing part.. go to authorized service centre ( which will be closed most of the time) then somehow we managed, after 3months that phone stopped working completely we again tried they said why didn’t u come initially and did not accept the request.. this is the kind of services and product they sell.. Same is the story of my fan, cot...

Thi complaint is on the BIG BAZAR, NO 45/1, Marenahalli, Village, JP Nagar 2nd Phase Banglaore 560069.

I am still facing a similar problem. They agreed to deliver a Dinning table and the chairs on the 2 day of the week. They only delivered the Dinning table which is still to be installed and remains unpacked, and the chairs they promised to deliver it within 24hours has not be delivered. When inquired with the folks who delivered the study table needs to contact the Shop. The shop number that they have given is either busy or nobody picks up.

We should teach these people a lesson.

To add to the long list of complaints i see in this forum, let me share my story. i purchased furniture worth 37,000 from old madras road branch (on 10/06/07) and then my nightmare started. all of it was delivered in 3 dispatches over five days (not to mention after numerous calls and follow-up). now it has been just a month and i find deep cracks in the book shelf, the dining table chairs could not take my load on the very first day and started creaking, the mattress is good 5" shorter than the cot size, and the cot shouts at us even if my kid moves in his sleep. The upholstery is different from what was promised and many of the item are not in level etc.

Now, as expected, all our efforts for rectifying these defects result in vain as none of the so called customer care executives respond. i would therefore like you all to share the e-mail address or any other contact info of senior management i.e. say of Mr. rajan malhotra or Kishor Biyani etc

I would definitely like to teach these people a good lesson

I completely agree with all the above comments as i also had to pay 15,000 for a cot and wait for more than 10 days (not to mention 4 visits and numerous calls to big bazzar).

At 10th day i got the cot alone and i had to wait till a person came to assemble the cot 4 days later. The best part is the person was not aware of how to assemble the cot. i had to read the manual and teach him.

My advise to any one who is reading is... KEEP GOING TO BIG BAZAR REGULARLY... Check out only the BRANDED products and... Then BUY THEM FROM A BETTER PLACE OUTSIDE...

These people will never understand what Customer Satisfaction means... If only the same big bazar is started in US... Most of the time they will be in the court... Being sued by customers.

Got delivery yesterday (11th Apr) against promised date of 1st Apr. The furniture with wrong colors, Hardware missing and no mattress with bed! My horror is getting deeper and deeper. Speaking to them with no results. Waiting for my nightmare to end.

This is true. And people who are aware still go and get cheated and then cry on their faith.
