Beverly Diamonds return policy

I recently purchased an engagement ring from Beverly Diamonds on cyber Monday as part of a sale they were having. I bought with the confidence instilled by their promotion of their "great" return policy, thinking I could return the product if I changed my mind and wasn't satisfied for whatever reason. A couple days later, I found a ring from a different company that I liked better, so I immediately notified Beverly Diamonds and asked to cancel the order. They told me that they were unable to do so even though the ring hadn't even been shipped yet. At this point they told me that the only options I had were to keep the ring or trade it in for a store credit that I'll never use, leaving me at a loss of thousands of dollars. This company does not stand behind their products and I would be very cautious when purchasing anything from them!

Beverly Diamonds engagement ring and band

Due to this company's high business rating and the beautiful their website represents, I purchased a wedding set in november of 2018. I believed the company would be trustworthy and accurately represent the quality of the rings and grade of the stone. Wrong... This company is committing fraud.

I ordered a baneberry 1.50 carat round solitaire diamond ring with clarity: vs2 and color: f, along with a matching wedding band - order# 30085. As this was a large investment, I called beverly diamonds to speak directly to one of their representatives to ensure sure that my expectations were clearly stated and understood so any issues with the purchase could be avoided. I was told during the call that both the band and the ring could be engraved, and the manufacturer would contact me to find out what else I wanted and to verify my expectations for the ring. Needless to say, no call was ever received. I reached out a few times via the "online chat" and never really got an answer as to the status of my order in the manufacturing process. Then, the ring just showed up at my house. I knew there was no way it could be what I wanted as I never received a call.

Upon opening the ring box I needed to merely glance at the ring to see the poor quality of the stone and the rings overall. I could instantly see a rough spot on the edge of the diamond, and that the girdle protrudes well beyond the prongs on one side. It has a dull cloudy appearance and what looks like bubbles filling the entire stone. It is like looking through bubble glass with etched lines. The ring has no luster or "fire" and is repulsively reminiscent of the gumball machine rings we threw away as kids. The quality is so distasteful I am nauseated every time I look at it. There are also several scratches on the ring, deep impressions that look like tool marks, as well as, what appears to be sloppy soldering. The wedding band is also scratched and of equally poor quality.

The wedding band is nothing like the on-line picture, especially when placed under the engagement ring. They do not match at all, and I find it appalling that they could actually be considered a set. The picture of the set advertised shows a band width that matches one side of the "twist" or "vine," not the width of the entire engagement ring. They also appear to have different finishes. There is a deep channel inside the band, which makes it impossible for it to be engraved. The website does not represent a hollow band, but instead shows a full smooth band without sharp edges. The sharp edges of the groove make the band extremely uncomfortable to wear and it looks very cheap. The quality is something that I would expect from a big-box store, not a custom jeweler who boasts, "everything at beverly diamonds is held to outstanding and exceptional standards. Our custom made jewelries are hand made and hand set by world class groups of experts. We never compromise quality and cost of products. Our aim is excellence."

I had the engagement ring assessed by two separate jewelers. One a certified gemologist graduate from ags and the other certified from gia. Both agree that the stone sold to me is a low end i2 - i3 diamond. A few of the words I heard were large feathers, cloud, crystals and twining wisp. There were also notes such as off center, out of round and faceting distortions. I was advised that a gia report would be a waste due to the diamond being of such poor quality. The only reason to obtain such a report would be to establish, in writing, the gross misrepresentation of an i2 diamond being sold as a vs2, and to prove the report sent with the ring from the diamond institute of america is a flagrant exaggeration and a means to further perpetrate this fraud.

When I called the company about these issues their response was that the purchase was not eligible for refund or return, and the only option is repair.

Beverly Diamonds false advertisement on refund/exchange

NEVER EVER buy any jewelry from Beverly Diamonds! We have had the MOST DISTURBING EXPERIENCE with BEVERLY DIAMONDS! Right from the beginning, their customer service has been the worst. They are incredibly rude and only care about making money. They do not care about the customer's needs. Buying an engagement ring is one of the most important decisions and these people do not give a damn about it. They have doomed all our money and we have to live with it as they are denying an exchange/refund. Not once in their website did they mention that they charge a $500 fee for exchange, or that if a ring is exchanged for another one they wouldn't return the extra money back. They charged ridiculous amount of money for a basic insurance plan and bluffed us. Initially, they gave us a very very hard time for an exchange as the ring we first ordered had engraving on it and when we settled for the same ring with better clarity, they sent us a ring with no engraving on it! Like, how ridiculous is that! Now, they are being very unreasonable by charging more and more extra fee for a mistake they made. WE HAVE HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE! WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO FORGET THIS! THANK YOU FOR NOTHING, BEVERLY DIAMONDS! YOU HAVE RUINED OUR ENGAGEMENT EXPERIENCE FOR US! We will remember to tell everyone of our friends/family to not buy anything from you! That's how badly you've dealt with us! This is the most frustrating and infuriating experience AND IT COULD NOT BE WORSE!

Beverly Diamonds not happy

I ordered one ring that looked pretty on the website. However, what I received was completely different and looked nothing like the picture. It's impossible to return it due to their strange policies. I would be happy to exchange or to replace it, but they gave me no alternative and no opportunity at all. All they offered was: order something else, and the ring that you ordered can be sold on eBay.
Oh, thank you for your useless advice. Not sure I want to spend more money on your junk.

Beverly Diamonds Dissatisfied with item

My husband and I purchased a wedding set in July 2014 when we received the set I immediately called because there was a crack in the diamond on the solitaire. I said I wanted to return it and get a refund and I was told that was not possible. I requested to speak with a manager and was bounced around to different people multiple times. After 47 minutes of being bounced around I was finally put on the phone with Matthew the manager. He said he would replace the diamond and he apologized and said that he wanted to make everything right. At this point I was beyond frustrated and was not very nice. Matthew swore he would rectify the situation because he did not want lose my business and wanted me to be a future customer as well. I sent my ring in and was sent a new one, which I was very pleased with. Well come January 12, 2015 one of the sides tones had fallen off of the wedding band so I sent my set in for repair and a cleaning. At that time I decided to upgrade from a .7 carat to a 1.2 carat with a $1400 difference. I specifically asked for a diamond like the previous one with no obvious inclusions on the top of the diamond seeing as how my first diamond had issues. I received my new ring January 26, 2015 and it had 2 black marks on it that resembled a snake bite. I immediately called and brought this to their attention. I spoke with Rachel and I was told nothing was wrong and it was probably from the way the light was hitting it that I was seeing those marks and that there was no issue. I disagreed at that time and I said the ring has to chips in it and you can feel the chips with your finger. She said those marks would not depreciate the value of my ring. I said the marks are very visible as soon as you look at the ring and I understand it's an SI1 and not flawless but that was not acceptable for me. I was then told I needed to send a picture of the markings. I immediately did as requested. I sent in 3 pictures to Rachel and she said she needed to speak with Matthew the manager and he was out of the office at that moment and she would get back with me. She called the following day saying he was out of the office and that he was sick and would be back in the 1st week of February. I then received another call from Rachel that week telling me Matthew said he would not replace the stone. That is horrible customer service and after spending an additional $1400 after the initial $3300 that was a slap in my face. That is piss poor management and customer service. I can't believe after all of the money we have spent they would treat us like this. And to top it off I went online to DLA Diamond Laboratory of America supposedly an independent appraisal company that Beverly Diamonds has their diamonds appraised through and the company didn't exist. They are a fraudulent company.

Beverly Diamonds Fraud

I ordered a 1 carat Diamond engagement ring. When i recieved it i noticed the stone was small. Took the ring to a local GIA jeweler..He stated the ring was just 58 points..A carat should be 95 points at leased. Called beverly diamonds for a refund or exchange..I was never treated so poorly. No refund..No exchange, unless i wanted to pay them more money..I have turned them in to my credit card company & the Indiana attorney general's office..Please beware of this awful company.
