We purchased a Great Lakes Bay window from Ron @Bethlehem Windows & had it installed by his son on 8/13/12. 2 days later when it rained the window leaked! I called Ron & he showed up next day @4:30, him & his son& other worker were hammering on window, banging on it, and then cut it to get it to close! I asked why are you doing this he said well I installed a faulty window? Then he left stating it was a warranty issue? what how can that be the window is not even 3 days old! We asked Ron several times to please just replace the whole window since it leaked & caused wood damage & we paid him $3600.00 cash & he refused! he then called me stupid because I told him installing the wrong size window will cause us long term damage due to the vinyl expansion & contraction in the heat & cold, he called me stupid & the conversation ended. Since then the Mfg still has not responded with there home visit& we are still sitting here with a leaky window, every time it rains! &causes more damage! I would not reccommend Bethlehem Windows to my worst enemy! & The fact he doesnt stand behind the product he sells is horrible! Please get other estimates dont USE BETHLEHEM WINDOWS YOU WILL BE SO DISSAPOINTED & RIPPED OFF! Go to someone else in the area Like Kinslows

I thought this type of site was meant for REAL complaints relating to services rendered...not a place for competitors to do their evil biddings...to slander a good company's name therefor affecting their very livlihood. When I came here to look at a few companies, I came across these postings on Bethlehem Windows and found them mildly entertaining at best. This is a contractor I personally know, who has done business for us a number of times and our experience with them couldn't have been any better than what it was! One thing that I noticed about all of the postings is that they were all done on the exact same day...as were their "joinings." If the stories were any more outlandish, I would suggest that the competition go into screenwriting rather than selling windows. I go on these sites to keep myself informed, not to become a part of some personal vendetta. I just couldn't sit by and not speak up after reading such garbage. Hopefully someone who is looking for a reputable contractor does find their way to this site and happens upon my comment and it is helpful. They were all that I had expected, been promised and more. Every sentence in every story posted here is an absolute LIE! Buyer beware is right, but you don't have to beware of Bethlehem Windows. Four Years ago we purchased 13 Cavco windows from Bethlehem Windows. We got their names from a friend who was happy with their work. The owner showed up to give us a price quote. They were about $100 per window cheaper then the other company we got an estimate from, and since our friend reccomended them we foolishly signed the contract without inspecting the quality or the warranty of the windows. A windows a window right? Boy were we wrong. We started off a bit rough with all their delays and excuses. The guy that showed up to install was a shady character who cursed alot but his work looked acceptable at first glance. Then it rained and 3 of the windows leaked. We called and called but two weeks passed before they could get back to us. We only live about 2 miles from their shop/house whatever you call it. They did some caulking and left us a bill for three hours of labor at $75 per hour. Not wanting to make waves we paid it. Then a black mold started to appear around the bottom corners of five of the windows inside the house. We called and left messages. Nobody called us back. Today two of the windows have broken locks. Three of them wont stay closed. One has a discoloration inside the glass panes. We showed up at their shop/house to demand service, but all he did was point to the warranty and said "Your warranty is with the manufacturer. All we can do is sell you a new window" Needless to say we feel ripped off. Let the buyer beware of this company and its poor service.

These criminals came to my house claiming that other companies had complaints and that they were the best in the valley. I quickly cancelled an agreement with another local company to do with business with these lying cheats. They claimed they were in business for 54 yrs and they always stand behind their warranties, everyone else was bad or going out of business blah blah blah. So then I sign the contract with Bethlehem windows to do 21 double hung windows and a large bay. They demanded 33% down and 33% when they began work, and then the balance on completion. I paid them the first 33% which was $3500 and then I waited. and waited. and WAITED for over 3 MONTHS!. Finally they called and said my windows were in and it was time to deliver them. They "reminded" me to have a check for $3500 more when the windows were delivered. 2 days later they delivered them alright. THEY DROPPED THEM OFF ON MY FRONT LAWN! IT WAS RAINING! My wife and I are elderly so when the man kncoked on the door asking for the check my wife just handed it over to them. He simply drove away. We called 3 times a day every day for 2 more weeks until some fat heavily tatooed man with a nasty beard and long hair and nice boy who didn't speak any english showed up to install our windows. THEY DIDNT EVEN HAVE TOOLS! The truck they were driving had some other outfits name on the side of it. I thought these guys didn't use subcontractors? another LIE! The job dragged on and on and ON for 3 more weeks! Ugly work. Terrible service. Now we have some kind of fog inside the double panes and the owner apologized and said he has financial trouble and cant get me new windows yet. I should have went with a reputable company like Appleby or Champion. They say you get what you pay for but i didnt get that from these criminals at Bethlehem Windows.
