Best Buy / refusing to take back contract cellphone during buyers remorse period

st matheews mall best buy mobile, Louisville, KY, US Review updated:

I bought a sprint phone on october 17 2012 from above best buy. Sprint has a 14 day buyers remorse period and today october 21, 2012 i attempted to retiurn the deffective phone to them and end my contract only to be told that i was in their system for to many returns and they refuse to refund my purchase and i will have to pay a etf to sprint for 350 dollors. This is unexcusable as i was never warned i could not make any more returns and this is a violation of their contractual agreement with sprint. I plan on trashing them across the country and filing a complaint with the bbb and sprint if this is not took care of. Do not do business with best buy or you will be sorry they lie invade your privacy and are just lo down. dave rosenberg [protected]

a 14 day buyers remorse period? Never heard of it, if they did that then someone could get a phone, use it for a trip or whatever then return it and get al their money back...you signed a contract, next time do not sign something if you are not 100 percent sure

Yes there are some laws but they are very specific, usually you have 3 days on health club memberships, and 30 days on "work from home" schemes, but usually the only way to cancel a contract is to prove misleading advertising. You can not just cancel a cell phone contract 14 days later and claim buyers remorse. If they did that they would be out of business...a parent could buy a phone and give it to their kid before a class trip for example, then when the kid comes back they could return the phone...

"i was in their system for to many returns"

It sounds like you abused the return policy and you probably never had any intention of keeping the phone in the first place. That's probably why you're so pissed off that you have to keep it. People like you are the reason why return policies are becoming more and more strict.
