Bertha Gxowa Hospital Germiston review: service poor 10

My daughter just gave birth izolo and she's telling me 4 midwifes were there helping with her birth one one put a whole hand in her [censored] and the other 3 had hands in her Virginia, as a matter of a fact she experienced 2nd degree tears she's in pain they wrongfully stiched her and had to go to theater to to redo her stitches today she was supposed to be discharged but instead got shoutings from the nurses telling her she was supposed to take salt baths 3 times and because of that they can't discharge her, how was she supposed to know that if the useless nurses were sitting picking their noses instead of doing their jobs? Her child is in the nursery she's feeding him from there she can't walk , and since yesterday she's telling me she's been sitting on a chair because there's no nurse helping her climb the bed she hasn't slept , public service in this country has to change we are being served by people that behave like they were dragged out of their homes to come and serve, right now I'm annoyed cause we don't know the long term of these tears and the health damage they might cause,I need adviseon the legal route i should take, wish she could remember the names of the nurses that helped her so that they could be exposed one at a time for what they doing to our families. If I were to rate Bertha Gxowa i would give it a 0,0001 and that one is just for the structure that has no rain coming inn service delivery is horrible in these hospitals.

They pretend to be working while they not, keeping children in a nursery for days and not really explaining what is wrong with the child, next thing when they have to discharge the child they tell you the child has jondis, today they told me my child can't be discharged...there is nothing wrong with her and the nurse had a gut to tell me that after few days they will say she has Jondis and admit her for that...LIVES OF OUR CHILDREN ARE IN DANGER HERE!

Why is nothing being done if they can see the reviews rating is 2!

All these people are complaining?

Is this not a problem? Why is this not being taken up seriously? All these reviews can’t be wrong ?

Obviously the people are not doing their jobs? Why are they even there - just to get money at the end of the month. Why are they still allowed to be there? How did they become a nurse ?

Would they treat their own family member like this? Seriously! Clearly the people are being rude and neglecting the patients if you read the reviews! Come on man. If you don’t want to work go and sit at home. I

Bertha Gxowa is the worst hospital ever! Not even worth a 1 star. Joburg Gen refers their Oncology patients here to die. Nurses have no empathy, they don't pay any attention to the patients, they sit on their phones on social media, I hope they see this post, or they sit in the nurses room making a noise. Patients lay and call out to them in vain, they are told you are making a noise. Patients go hungry and when they tell the nurses they are hungry they are told "keep quiet, you are making a noise." You should be ashamed of yourselves, especially the Nurses in Medical Ward A.

It's going on almost 3 years now that I've been suffering with my gallbladder. Recently I lost roughly 30kg's in 2 and a half months because I can't eat from the pain and constantly vomit everything out. I look worse than an anorexic person and my body has become so weak that my legs are unable to carry me more than a few feet so I have to use a wheelchair just to get around. I have had test after test at Bertha Gxowa (Germiston hospital) ranging from ultrasound, g-scope, seen the gyne etc and each doctor I see here tells me a different story. I was booked in at opd who consulted the surgery department and was advised to admit me, then I was told they don't remove here, then they do, then I'll be sent to Charlotte, then I have no infection it just has to be removed, then it's asymptomatic and doesn't need to be removed so it's probably my ulcer or thyroid (which had already been tested before to no avail), the stories keep changing, I just keep getting carted up and down. It has been made evident that I have gallstones and gallbladder problems hence why opd admitted me, yet in the wards itself I am getting many different stories and no one is actually looking at the root cause of my case. Most of the doctors don't tell you anything, especially if they've got junior doctors with them, it took 3 days before a doctor explained the findings to me despite having asked the previous doctors on numerous occasions. Others don't listen to you or give you any moments to speak. The head doctor on my case(the latest one I've seen) wouldn't talk or listen to me, he instead wants to do tests that have already been done. I battle to understand how my gall is asymptomatic with my symptoms and for the mere fact that he didn't even examine me at all. I have great things to say about majority of the nurses, however the doctors are extremely questionable and most can't function without the input and help of another doctor every few minutes, many don't even know the hospital procedures. I am very disappointed in the doctors here

Visited my ex husband Loganathan Kevin Maistry in hospital today .. .

Kevin is terribly sick and was admitted to Bertha Xqowa Hospital in Germiston. I went in around 3:45p.m today and was told by the patient in the room that Kevin fell twice trying to get to the toilet - nurses did not try to help. He also said they were not given any medication the whole day and not a single thing to eat the entire day. I noticed the drip tube on Kevin’s hand was full of blood - He also said Kevin’s drip has not been working for hours - hence the bloodied tube.

I went to the sister at the desk - she did not even acknowledge me when I asked her to come please check Kevin’s drip- she said they will check later - I found another nurse and asked her to help please - she could not be bothered -

If a patient is sick and can’t help themselves this hospital could not care less -

What kind of inhumane care is this from a place that is supposedly caring for our loved ones.

Please please BX - please Improve on employing compassionate nurses that when we leave our loved ones we know they are well cared for and not treated like lambs to the slaughter .

I am so so sad and troubled by what I witnessed.

Bertha Gxowa hospital proved to have one of the most negligent doctors I have ever had to deal with. Unfortunately my experience with the hospital led to a tragic stage 3 Cancer diagnosis, which put me through hell for the past three years. So it's just so unfortunate that myself and probably a number of other patients have to go through such unnecessary ordeal due to pure negligence of their supposedly excellent service.
