Belk banning salvation army

It's disgraceful that you would ban Salvation Army from your stores this Christmas from ringing their bells. Salvation Army is a credible and well-respected ministry that benefits many Americans. It doesn't cost you anything and people voluntarily give.
Your action is mean spirited and anti-Christians. So until you stop boycotting Salvation Army, I'll be BOYCOTTING BELK! Merry Christmas!

I am so sick and tired of the anti-Christian feeling in America. Belk has taken a stand. Well we Christians are taking a stand as well. Many of us will not be shopping at Belk this Christmas season. Their executives should take a look at. Targett. Conservatives have been boycotting Target and their bottom line is hurting!

Belk salvation army

I am saddened at Belks decision to not allow the salvation army to collect donations any longer. What a joke that they believe people will buy this line about Belk funding something else instead ... they werent funding the Salvation Army! It is a blatant misguided attempt at political correctness to avoid offending someone that has not only offended millions but has also hurt the Salvation Army's ability to help those less fortunate. I will not shop at Belks as long as this policy stands.

Belk - coupons that are misleading

I have over the past year tried to purchase several items on sale with a coupon for 20% off on any regular or sale price item. Both occasions I was decline saying those are name brand items that are in stated in the fine print are excluded. Belk service

On November 23 I was shopping in belk on Atlantic blvd, Florida. I over heard an employee by the name of Patricia yelling at two Phillipino employees. Telling them the only reason they are hear in this country is to try to be citizens. That this was her country and they were immigrants.That they were just phillipinos. This kind of behavior should not be tolerated. The employee needs to be delt with. This is so racist. Does belk not screen there employees. In front of customers on the sales floor. Really.please deal with it. Atlantic blvd, florida

Belk new direction bergen tote (color spice)

I purchased this purse earlier in the summer and paid about $60 for it .. I love the purse .. however I am disappointed in the quality of the handles on the purse .. they have cracked and peeled and makes the purse look ugly.. and embarrassing to use as The Body of the purse is like new . Can the handles be replaced ? I would very much appreciate some help with this ..

Belk declined credit card

I have been a long term customer with Belks and always make monthly payments on time. I had a credit limit of $500. I made a $230 payment for Nov. 2017 in order to purchase a purse I wanted at the CHARITY DAY SALE in November. My available balance at this time was $278. My Belks card was declined at the register when I attempted to purchase the Brahmin purse. I called customer service from the store and was informed that the payment I made to the Belks card had not posted to the card yet and it would take two days to post to my Belks card. Customer service also said that I was penalized a late fee of $25.00, although, the payment I made to the Belks card was on Nov. 2nd, and the due date for the card payment was Nov. 10th.

In addition, the $230.00 had already been debited from my banking account. Needless to say, the cashier held the purse for me at the Belk's store in order to allow time for the funds to post to the Belk's card, however, the purses cost wasn't the same price 2 days later. I did not make the purchase.

This past Friday, Nov. 20.. I attempted to use my card again for a purchase of $85.00 for a birthday gift. It was DECLINED. I called customer service again from the store and was informed that my credit limit had been dropped to $250.00.. Therefore, now I would only have $10.00 available to spend. I have had problem after problem with Belks credit and I really wish that another department store was in the area that offered similar sales and bargains and a line of credit. I have been humiliated and embarrassed time and time again in Belks. Once I get this card paid off I will be taking my business elsewhere.

It is common for funds to be deducted from your payment account and not immediately post to your credit card/available balance. Unfortunately it can also be common for credit card companies to decrease or even eliminate your available credit at any time at their discretion. I'm unsure about your late fee however. Did you ask why the fee was assessed when you paid several days prior to your due date?

Belk I am filing a complaint due to poor customer service experience with a employee.

On 11/11/2017 around 3pm I was shopping at the belk store (553), as I proceed to check out while standing in line for over 10 mins or more. I noticed that the employee (Nadine) was. Checking caucasian out and being very pleasant to them but not me, a customer realized she got the wrong merchandise and needed to get the correct item, in the mean time the employee proceed to check. A caucasion shopper out in between time. I was next in line when the employee told me I had to wait to check out because she was waiting on the first customer to come back and couldnt check me out. I asked to speak with a manager nadine became agitated and said no what do you need a manager for. I informed her that I dont aporeciate her checking caucasian out but having me to wait for her own selfish prejudice reasons. Nadine never got management. I dont feel I was treated with the respect she provided to other races. She acted in a very prejeduice way by not value ing my time as she did others.

Belk estee lauder

I went in as I was preparing for a trip to Wilmington for work to get some much needed foundation. I tried to speak to the girl about different foundations. I have always worn pebble - double wear. She was really busy. She gave me a sample of a new kind and I bought my regular I have been using for many many years. I had received my estee lauder free gift paper in the mail. I really needed lipstick so I decided to get it. I agreed to upgrade the gift. I told them I would get waterproof mascara. They were out of the waterproof and the scrumptous I normally use in the gold tube. I settled for the one in the navy tube - I think it is called double wear. Well, I went to my conference and got busy when I got back and I really did like the sample. I opened my package and realized I did not get my lipstick. I did use my mascara and do not like it like the waterproof or the scrumptous. I can hardly get any out or see it when I put it on. Anyways, I realized I did not get my lipstick. I did get blush. That was the choice the lady ask me about. Blush or brownser. I didn't need brownser since I had a big one from Estee Lauder already. On November 2 at 1131 I called back to the Belk store in Salisbury and explained to the estee lauder lady I didn't get my lipstick and she said to come in and she would fix it for me. So, on November 7 I went drove to belk in Salisbury on my way home from work (I work out of town) and no one was working the Estee Lauder Counter. I finally found a nice tall black lady who offered to help me. She asked the clinque lady something and she was snotty. The nice tall lady did go to the back to look for lipstick and there was none she said. Then the clinque lady said it was a choice of the lip liner and gloss or lipstick. No one told me that before and I didn't want lip liner or gloss I wanted lipstick. I was very upset because why didn't the Lauder lady explain that to me when I called? I took everything I had gotten with me like she told me to do when I went to the store, my receipt, my free gift bags and my products. I had wanted to get the new foundation I tried and talk to her about the mascara as well. I would not have bought 79.00 worth of products if I was not getting lipstick as a free gift. I also bought a pump which I have not used or probably wont to get the free gift. I went to the car to get my Estee Lauder Free gift choice brochure to show the lady where I was mislead by the cover. I showed it to her. I didn't want her to think i was lying. It shows lipstick on the front cover. She showed me on the back I should have got blush, lip liner and gloss or blush and 2 lipsticks. The blush and 2 lipsticks is what I wanted and thought I was getting. I do not like the color of the gloss or liner. I am very disappointed. I think she should have gave me the lipstick like I was told I would get when i returned to the store after the lady told me to bring my receipt and everything. It was not her problem. She was nice but not a Estee Lauder person. I don't know why no Estée lauder people were working. the only person working in cosmetics was clinque. i think i should at least get some lipstick sample or something for my trouble. I would not have drove out of my way to come back to the store and especially in Salisbury since it is not safe anymore at night to get out. I am very disappointed. I have been so disappointed in that Estee Lauder dept. the last three visits. The last eye liner I bought stopped working halfway thru and I took it back and showed the girl. The Estée pencil sharpener i was using was sharpening it but the liner would fall out = they would not replace it. I have been wearing Estée lauder since the 70's. I hope you will improve customer service. I am not happy I didn't get lipstick with my free gift. I am on a budget and to spend 85.00 on makeup is a treat. I really needed lipstick or I wouldn't have got the upgrade. I would have only bought the foundation and get one gift. I sprugled. my receipt number is 9350 transaction code - associate was Emily, 10-14-17 244pm store 0416 - reg 0905 total spent was 85.06. i bought pebble foundation double wear, pump and mascara. I also wanted to try some more samples and talk to an Estee lauder person but no one was available. I am very disappointed.

Belk credit limit

Have been a customer of belks for 25 years... Always pay on time... Never delinquent... Have charged hundreds of dollars in past... Desired to buy 4 shirts and a tie today...$176.00... Handed my credit card to clerk... She said it was denied... I ask "why"?... She was on phone with someone... They said because of my overall poor credit rating... I was limited to $124.00... I thanked the clerk (Not her issue)... Got on my phone and called credit department... The lady (Sidney) there said the same thing... I expressed my disappointment and surprise since I have a sterling credit rating... I told her to cancel my credit card with belks... Came home and checked my overall credit rating: transunion = 774...
Equifax=802... Both excellent... I called the home office in charlotte. Talked with a young man (Michael)... Explained the same thing to him... He took notes and said he would pass it along to the appropriate department... I requested that they get back in touch with me... I want to know who made the decision that my credit rating was poor and how they reached that conclusion... I refuse to go to belks in the future... So sad: (Nov. 3, 2017 — at 3:30 - mt. Berry square mall in rome, georgia)... All personnel were very polite but simply did the thing that is done today... They passed it along to someone else?

I just experienced the same thing with my card! I live in a rural area and access to other department stores is limited but if a competitor such as Dillard's or Macy's was in the area. this store would lose a lot of business.

Belk management/personnel

Do not shop in Belk stores, they are falsely charging people with shoplifting. Or I being discriminated against? I'm a 51 yo woman able to afford pantyhose. Belk does not provide an adequate amount of shopping carts or allow reusable shopping bags apparently. I was using reusable shopping bags. When sensor alarmed when I approached exit I returned to the same cashier to help me find the problem, on the 4th attempt I asked the cashier to escort me to exit at which time a man came out and had me arrested. I Gave all my bags to cashier at checkout to scan and inspect 3 times! I trusted everything in my bags were accounted for. Belk management does not care. I will hire an attorney and do whatever I can.

Belk reporting credit

I recently purchased a belk card and every time it reports at the end of the month my credit score goes up on transition about 5 to 7 points and Equifax it goes down 1 point every time. Now my purpose of getting this card was because I didn't have any credit card utilization on my report. I was thinking by purchasing this card and paying on time would increase my score, but instead you all are hurting it by taking it down every time with Equifax. If I don't see any changes within the next three to four months, I will let you all go completely.

Belk online purchase made on 10/27 order #[protected]

I purchased a dress online from Belk.com and two charges were made to my credit card; one on the day I purchased and another today, 10/31 for the same item. Cannot get anyone to return my call to reverse and credit the amount made today. I'm furious. I do not nor do I want a Belk card. I purchased this product as a guest. Order #[protected]. Belk unlawful credit apps/elder abuse

Tonight at the Belk in Kill Devil Hills, NC my mother and I were at the register waiting for the cashier with her purchases. She asked my elderly mother if she had a Belk credit card. My mother told her that she did, but she wished to make the purchase with the credit card that she was holding.

The clerk continued to ask about her Belk card, and I told her, "She wants to use a different card today." The clerk didn't acknowledge me at all. She convinced my mother to give out her phone number and show her driver's license, so that she could look up her Belk card. She then turned the pinpad around so that we couldn't see it, teling my mother that her Belk card had been cancelled. Then she said, "Let me try looking it up another way.." and told my mother to key in her SSN twice. I spoke up again, asking if she's trying to sign her up for an additional credit card. She said no.

Finally after a few minutes, the clerk says, "There, I've given you a new card number, and handed her a new card brochure. Then she preceeded to tell my mother that she used her new Belk account for the purchase! I was floored.

Is this how business is run at this location? My mother is 72 years old and not in the best of health. I drove 2 hours just to take her shopping, only to have some "clerk" purposely confuse, lie to, and take advantage of her!

My mother and I had planned to purchase most of our holiday shopping from this location-but I can guarantee that we will NOT being returning again-especially if this cashier is allowed to remain and continue this practice towards the elderly.

The actions of this cashier were unethical to say the absolute least.

Upon seeing all of the current complaints regarding the same issue, I feel that a legal action is becoming increasingly necessary.

Belk false advertising!

To whom it may concern,

I am very frustrated with my experience at Belk, Hamilton Place Mall Chattanooga, yesterday. I received an email that clearly states that women's Crown & Ivy are "buy one get one free". When I went to check out I was told that they are 50% off. I showed the lady my email and she called a manager, but they still would not honor the buy one get one free. The manager said it's all the same.. it clearly is not!
Since management in Chattanooga could not take care of this advertisement I sincerely hope someone can.
I agree that 1/2 is a good deal, but that is NOT what it read.

Belk customer service

My child received a pair of Levi Jeans as a birthday gift from a church member. They purchase the wrong size. I took the pants back to Belks Laurinburg and the jeans are now on sale for $36.99 the person whom purchase the jeans paid $41.99 plus tax for the gift. So, the same jean that now on sale for 36.99, Belks gives me a trade only for 24.99. I think that's just disrespectful and unfair too the customer (Me)... If the product is the same price I shouldn't have to take away from the customer. Then I couldn't use any of my coupons or my additional %20 discount scratch off. As a customer I should have been able to do an even exchange the Belks return policy states you will receive the lowest sale price.. Well the lowest sale price was listed at $36.99.. Then I should have done a even exchanged and not having to pay additional for a paid product.. That's taken advantage of your customers!

Belk customer service

Dianne Jenkins refused to send me a label to send some pants I ordered back this store has gone downhill for years now and the new owners have completely ruined this store. Terrible products, hard to tell whats good and what's garbage at Belk the buyers do not do a good job vetting the products they sell, and all I wanted was to return via mail and the nasty woman told me to take them to a belk store, well nasty stupid woman if I wanted to do that or could do that, don't you think I would? idiot. so now I'm being punished because she sucks at her job and refused to help me. this store will sell stuff and then when you try to take it back to the store they don't have that product in their store system to return it and then youre stuck with it! I've wasted 10s of 1000s of $ here over many many years. probably $10k or more a year and much of what I order is garbage. they don't treat their best customers very well at all. real shame!

Belk call center/ customer service.

On 9/16/17, I placed an order using the new Belks card, and was told it ships in 24-48 hours. By 9/23 I called to find out why hadn’t it shipped. I was told well they have to verify that the funds are available. I said fine called back the next day and was told that they randomly selected my order to make sure everything was ok. I called back the next day and was just told flat out they didn’t know why it hasn’t been shipped. Finally Joel in customer service cancelled my order and said he resubmitted it on 9/27/17 and I would have it by Friday. I needed the by 9/29/17 for a bday gift. By Sunday 10/1/17 called again and was told the order was not placed until 9/29/17 at 5pm, yet my order email said something different. The customer service rep. Said the order is no long available. To sAy that None of this was my fault, I have not had not one phone call
Back or anything. Everything I have been told and promised has not happened. I don’t appreciate being ignored basically. I have always heard good things about Belks but this is not proving correct right now. I was told that if I didn’t get the order on 9/29/17, I would receive another 25 percent off of 143, that I paid for the order. If it’s not too

Belk reward dollars certificates

I think it is horrible and poor customer service that the customer earns the reward dollars for being a loyal shopper at your store, and then you have the certificates expire in a very short period of time from when they were issued. It honestly makes me want to tear up my credit card and shop at Nordstoms or Macys where customer service is a priority. I do not believe there should be any expiration date on something I have earned for loyalty. It would be such an easy change for you to make and it would go along way towards promoting go9od will with your customer base. Thanks you for considering my comments.

I have (5) Belk Reward Dollars that are expired. I emailed a computer message on the Reward page for a telephone number that I can get these updated. I was prompted a page that wanted my credit card to charge $1.00 for this information. Is Belk in that bad of financial shape that they charge $1.00 ...refundable... for a telephone number. Glad my bill is paid in full and I won't need these Reward Dollars because this gave me the incentive I needed to not shop at Belk this year. Horrible Customer Service. Thank You

I’ve tried for 3 days to reach someone that can help me get my 5 recently expired Belk reward dollars re-issued. I’ve literally been hung up on 3 times. One told me to expect it back in 48 hrs but didn’t even get my Acct info and of course it didn’t show up. I’ve been placed on hold and held for up to 45 min only to get hung up on several times. This is HORRIBLE customer service! Belk you won’t be in business long if this continues!

Belk overcharged account

On 9/30/17, I placed an order online for $183.12, and as of the next day, my credit card had been charged a total of FOUR (!) times for a total of $549.36. This is completely uncalled for, and is in no way "authorizing charges."
Belk customer service was contacted by online form and through email.
If the extemporaneous charges to my account are not removed ASAP, I will be contacting my credit card company to report fraud.

Belk customer service all departments

Today I walked in to belks in gadsden al with my 77yr old mother that is visiting from Miami. From the moment we walked in I said hi to the first 2 employees they totally ignored us. After that my mother wanted to buy a suitcase which we selected. After that she wanted a nice perfume and we could not get no service as we walked towards the make up department the lady walks off to the perfume area as we walked backed to the perfume department the employee runs back off. At no time did we get greeted or attended to in this belks store my mother felt so bad she no longer wanted to purchase a perfume she was uncomfortable. So we decided to purchase the luggage and leave. When we got to the register to pay once again we received rude treatment. As we got our total my 77yr old mother was going to pay with her belks credit card after the total rang up the lady looks at both of us and says are using a belks card we said yes she looked at us twice and then proceeded to ask for my mothers identification. My mother gives it to the employee and then after the transaction we left. Our complaint is we felt racially profiled we were treated like criminals and none of us have records. I have never felt so mistreated in any store in my life I would love a reply back or call back from a manager or supervisor that is from that store belks in gadsden Al. The cashiers name is Leslie and the store managers name is Jennifer welch.
