Be2 unauthorised credit card charges

An amount of R1197 was taken off my account for this site that I am not even a member of. I want a full refund ASAP. This amount was deducted at 07:07 this morning 24 March 2018. I would like to know how this can be resolved as soon as possible. I have never used this site and cannot understand how this purchase was made without my authorisation

Be2 the surreptitious manner in which they entice people to join, and then refuse to provide easy way to cancel auto renewal.

This is "sold" as a South African dating site called TINDER.

The URL was originally: http://online-dating.site/zadt/

Once one joins, we find that we are not dealing with a site/company called Be2.com: https://app2.be2.com/

© 2005-2018 be2 S.à.r.l., Luxembourg

I was impressed with the presentation of the site. I was offered three Premium Memberships; I chose the 6 month clearly marked R77.00. See attached screenshot from my iPhone. This was in the beginning of March.

There was NO mention that this R77.00 was in fact PER WEEK. This was not indicated in the columns that were clearly marked:

1 month R20

3 months R99

6 months R74

Please see attached.

Only later, when I found that I was billed as follows:

2018-03-05 Description. BE2 CS BE2.COM LU 74595348063000000743461 Amount. -R1, 776.00

When I went back, and registered as someone else, with a new email, I could read in fine, small print, in grey typing so as not to be clearly visible, and at the top of the page, that this was per week. Please see attached plan outlay with nothing of this mentioned.

The entire site is clearly designed to trick people.

What makes it particularly surreptitious and underhanded is that they know they are dealing with people who are lonely and some even quite desperate to meet others; in short, they clearly know that emotions come into play here.

They had NO way to cancel the automatic renewal. There is no button, no selection location to switch it off. In fact I can not even find which credit card I used to pay for the Premium Membership. I cannot change the card, I cannot change the membership.

I cannot cancel the auto payment.

I believe strongly there should be Federal, international regulation that demands at least these features, above, be included on every site of this nature. How is it possible that a company can claim the right to automatically renew any membership WITHOUT the member finding any easy way online to cancel that? I do not think this is acceptable.

In navigating the site, I found the following in my quest to find a way to cancel the auto renewal:

"You can manage Premium plans here and get more info."

This leads to the following: a new page with all the Premium features.

At the bottom you reads this: "To edit your personal subscription plan please click here."

This goes back to a page that lists only the features of the Premium Membership. Nothing else.

This is clearly a runaround, to confuse and mislead people.

There is NO place to change one's Premium Membership (Which automatically updates at the end of the term).

It took me two days to find their email - it is nowhere on the site, in my Profile or on their home page. This smacks of underhandedness - they are clearly making huge efforts to make it very difficult to cancel or change anything; in fact my only option is to cancel my credit card.

I then found an email address after spending a day searching. This is the answer they give me to cancel:

"Let us explain how to cancel your subscription easily. We accept cancellation requests sent by scanned email attachment, fax or letter.

Please note your request must be signed. Make sure to include your name and email address, we need them to find your account and answer in a timely manner. You will receive an email confirmation with an expiry date once your request has been dealt with. If you don't hear from us, don't hesitate to contact us again.

Ways you can send us your signed cancellation:

Email it : as an attachment (pdf, jpg or gif) back to this email.
Post it to : be2 S.à.r.l, 13 rue du Commerce, L-1351 Luxembourg
Fax it to : +[protected]"

I wish to know how it is possible to join online, using modern internet methods, but to cancel one needs a fax machine, or a scanned letter?

This is a joke. There can be no other explanation other than they are going out of their way to make it difficult to cancel.

This industry should be regulated. If one can join online, one should be able to cancel, at least the auto renewal, online also. And NOT by fax, or some signed letter that has to be scanned.

Also I object to the absence of a clear indication that the charge is per week. Once again see attachment.

I thank you for the opportunity to lodge this complaint, and I hope that some authority has the power to regulate such practices.

regards

Michael Klerck

Be2 unauthorized charges taken from my debit card

BE2 has taken an unauthorized amount from my account and I want a refund. Today is the third day that I've been writing to their customer service email and I haven't received a response.
These are the emails I've been using:
'be2 Customer Service'
'[protected]@be2.com'
'frank.[protected]@insparx.com' this guy emailed me back a few minutes ago his English was so poor I had to read the email four times to understand it. He said he cant help me even if he could he wouldn't? Is this one of Be2 staff?
'thomas.[protected]@be2.com'
For those of you who having been battling to get a response from Be2 I suggest we keep on being persistent and demand our money back
Or is Be2 Fraudsters? If it is this is a warning to others

Be2 unauthorized r1197 deducted from my account

I registered with Be2 in February for an amount of R82.20 if memory serves me right. On the 6th March 2018 Be2 took another amount from my debit card for R1 197. I didn't authorize for this amount to go through. I called my bank to ask them to stop the payment and they told me they are unable to as it was a card payment, I only logged onto Be2 once with my card details and now they using it for ridiculous amounts like the R1 197. The bank advised me to log onto the Be2 site and to cancel my subscription. I still want my money back as the information on Be2 is totally incorrect and they are committing fraud on people's accounts. Secondly I don't seem to be the only one with this problem I've read through so many other complaints about the same issue

Be2 fraudulent deduction of money from my account

I paid for a 1 month service as advertised of r20 for a one month subscription on 28 january 2018. R82.20 showed on my statement as a deduction.! A 3 month subscription would have been r99.
A month later on 28 february 2018 I see an sms with an unaurthorised deduction of r1197.00 from my account! I immediately phoned my bank and they confirmed that this amount was deducted by be2, I immediately told them to reverse it as I had not agreed to any such amount, but it has to go the bank fraud department first and be investigated, which I immediately gave them the go ahead on.
A few days later I look at my statement and the amount of r1197 has now increased to r1229.92! There is something really fishy going on here.
So I decide to send a notice to be2 to cancel my subscription as I can not afford for any more money to be deducted from my account and the customer service address of '[protected]@be2.co.za' does not exist! So I am asking for a refund of r 1312.12 less original r20 I agreed too, so refund of r 1292.12 which is the amount of the unaurthorised and fraudulant deductions off my account.
I expect to hear from someone urgently to clear this matter up.

likewise i have been scammed, and i still haven't got confirmation that my account hasn't been deleted. I thought i had deleted my profile and stopped getting all their bloody messages but then they just charged me for 179 euro.
Trawling through their T&C's i see that the only way of officially cancelling them is by FAX!

there must be a way to shut them down?

Be2 unauthorised charges

I signed up with Be2 Online dating for 1 MONTH only. This was on 3 Feb 2018. Amount deducted (special price) R82, 20 which was paid with my debit card. Today 1 March I get a notification from my Bank that the amount of R1197, 00 has been deducted from my account by Be2.

As mentioned, I only signed up for 1 month, so the second amount deducted is un-authorised and therefore I would like a refund!

Be2 subscriptions

Hi, i joined your site and was immediately impressed - the same evening i got a message from someone who i am still seeing. I tried to unsubscribe but it is so difficult so i sent in a success story and asked them to remove me. I paid my R80.00 for the one month that i wanted. Their reply was that i owe them more money as it renewed automatically - they now wanted +-R1230.00 - i said that i only wanted one month. They then handed me over and i now have to pay R2600.00 which i am fighting. I am a cancer survivor, and widow who works for a charity organisation and cannot afford more than one month. Now i am left with this high bill which i do not want to pay as i did not use it. I think this was very deceitful to trick me into joining this site. I am still impressed with the way it works but i just cannot recommend your company to anyone anymore. I think that they need to reduce the bill. Please come back to me - [protected]@pinkdrive.co.za

Be2 gary parkin

I have been in contact with this guy Gary Parkin.
I had a feeling from the start that the photos he has on his profile might be fake.
I thought I would keep in contact hoping I was wrong.
Well today I got the confirmation I required. He is a scammer. He is asking me for money.
I didn't sign up to be2 to be scammed. You should have a firmer policy for signing up.
I wish to have a full refund. I am non satisfied with your sight.
If you want copies of the messages i have them. Non sure how many other women he is trying to scam.

Be2 incorrect online payment

I stay in South Africa

I went onto the B2 dating site - just for the fun of it I decided to join. They gave me 3 payment options which were all indicated in our South African currency. Once I have selected the payment option, it took me to the page which requested my credit card details (which is normal). I decided to enter my details, thinking that they will confirm the total amount due as well as inform me on the details of the contract I am about to sign (which was the case for me with other websites I have visited). That turned out to not be the case. After I have entered my card details a payment went through immediately and the only way I was able to know it at that time was due to the payment notification I have received from my bank.

Since then they requested from me more personal information (e.g. my street address) and without entering that information I am unable to continue to use the site. And even on this page I see no information in regards to the contract agreement. Furthermore, I am also unable to access their website in any way to delete my profile and contact them via that site.

I phoned my bank immediately to reverse the payment, but they refused as they told me that I gave them "permission" (which I did not do) and told me it is a case of dispute.

I paid 11 times more for the service I cannot access. Change in currency is not a factor as the foreign currency they are using (which ever it might be) is stronger than the rand (e.g. I cannot by a U$100 with R10, but I can buy U$1 with R10, if that is the going currency rate at the bank).

Can anyone assist me and some how stop this scam?

I really need my money back. I cannot afford to pay then the amount of money that went through my account as I need it to pay my bills. I will therefore really appreciate it if someone can assist me in getting me a refund and cancel my account with them as I am only able to cancel it via an email (which I have send to them, including the request for the refund).

Regards

Rhode

Be2 debit of my account

During December 2017 I visited the Iphone App store and viewed the Be2 S.A.R.L. Application. In order to GET the App I selected GET and the application went straight to my Credit card details that are on the Apple App Store. Once I realised they were going to bill me I immediately closed the app and never downloaded it nor did I ever register. I contacted apple and according to them there is no record of me purchasing the app nor is there any invoice on their records. I have now been debited with
R1 197.00 and would like to know who to contact for refund. If proof of the debit is needed - I will be willing to email it for proof.

Would appreciate some feedback urgently.

Thanks

I signed up with a subscription fee of R80 per month for the first month. This weekend I was debited in excess of R1100 without my consent. I was not eve informed that the month had come to an end and that there would be a further astronomical debit on my account. I find this to lack integrity and demand a refund and to cancel my account. I am disappointed in the assumption that one service provider can just debit someone's account without their consent. This is invasive to my privacy and down right theft. I look forward to this being resolved immediately. BEST Regards Tracy-Leigh

Hi,
It makes me angry to see how these scammers are exploiting other people's needs. One in 10 people are now victim of fraud or online offences. Online dating sites are running a good profitable business by scamming other people. If you want to recover your money and go after this website I can suggest you a discreet private investigation service- Wilsons Detectives. I've used it myself therefore can recommend it to others. They are very efficient and good at this. Their first operational hour is free. You can check out their website and contact them. https://www.detectiveswilsons.com/ or email at help@detectiveswilsons.com.
Best wishes
