MaxChargers / BatteryHop macbook charger

I received a faulty charger and was then instructed to post it back, which I did and still have not received a refund. I get automated e-mails and every time I get in touch and nothing is being addressed or moved forward. I have proof of purchase which states there is a one year warranty with the item. I also have my receipt and tracking number from the post office to prove I did send the item back.

MaxChargers / BatteryHop 45w magsafe power adapter

I ordered above item on 11/13/17. The total was $25.11 charged to my debit card. Received item on 11/20/17. Was wrong item so I called customer service.
After supplying them with all the specs on my Mac I was told to return the incorrect item. I returned item on 11/27/17. Was told to call with the tracking number of the UPS package. I tried twice today & after hitting "0" on my phone numerous times I was finally, at least, able to leave a message. After reading some reviews on this company I am prompted to complain as to their tactics. I hope I will get the replacement sometime. Learned lesson of paying Apple $79.00 for the replacement rather than having to deal with a scamming company. The cost of $25.11 plus the return shipping of $10.64 makes a total of $35.75. Please someone stop this company from scamming others.

MaxChargers / BatteryHop worst customer service, no viable customer service number

I purchased a 60W MagSafe adapter charger for my MacBook which advertised as being compatible for an older MacBook Pro, model adapter A1172, 85w AC Power Adapter Charger online via BatteryHop.com 10/12/2017. They charged me on 10/13/2017. I received the
charger on 10/17/2017. It was not the product advertised. It didn't fit my MacBook. I immediately sent an email to the company to let them know and that I needed a full refund. Their "Charger" Help Desk sent me the following email in response:

Naturally, I returned the item with a tracking number at my own expense, restated that I wanted a full refund as I had already purchased the correct charger for half the price. Their offices signed for the item on 10/27/2017.
I have sent follow up emails, and still no refund! I do get generalized "your refund request is pending" emails from "Marianne" or "Customer Support Team" but no money back. None of the customer service numbers listed on the website or response emails are viable.
Two days ago, BatteryHop sent me another adapter by mail! I didn't even open the package, but sent them another email demanding a RMA to send this item back. This was the company response:

Is this company a joke? I finally had to contact my bank and have a fraud complaint filed against them to start the refund process. I am furious, and have to spend more money returning this unwanted product. How is the company allowed to stay in business?

MaxChargers / BatteryHop returned and replaced charger: issues unresolved. a very dissatisfied customer

Original Purchase Date: June 6, 2017
Original Complaint Date: July 5, 2017
The charger I purchased from BatteryHop (BH) for my MacBook Air was intermittently over heating and sparked in most outlets when plugging it in. I called the last day of the 30 day refund period and should have asked for a refund then, however not having previous experience with BH, I felt they could send a problem-free replacement and asked for that. Instead the replacement has sparked when being plugged in all but one instance and it overheats intermittently as well. It became so hot at one use I thought I would burn my hand. This seems dangerous and could possibly catch my house on fire or injury me.
I called asking for a refund because the replacement has the same issues as the returned one. As I had brought my original complaint to BH's attention before the 30 day period expired it seemed reasonable in view that nothing was resolved or improved by the replacement, to ask to return it and be given a refund. I was told by Gloria, to whom I spoke, she could not authorized refunds at this date and she would have someone call me within 24 to 48 hours who could. When no call back came in 72 hours I called again and insisted I speak to someone who could hear my complaint and accept the second faulty charger for a refund. I had the unfortunate experience of talking to Jeff, Escalations Manager (EM) for the company. It seems BatteryHop does not offer Customer Service in the traditional sense, but rather provides a road block to Customer Service with an Escalations Manager. The EM would not let me speak to anyone in the company higher than himself. He would not give me a phone number or email address where I could get resolution other than his "forwarding It." He would not consider a refund in light of the circumstances. He stated there was a limit to the number of times a faulty item can be exchanged for another faulty item (so much for a years warranty!). All he could offer was another replacement and that he would have it "checked" before sending it. Since the problems with both chargers have been intermittent, and I have no faith that my complaint will be forwarded to someone above him, his solutions are far from adequate. I asked if BH sold original Apple chargers for my computer as that would provide an option for upward exchange but alas, the answer is "No."
I am concerned for my home and self using the chargers BatteryHop provides. I feel the risks involved are a liability to that company and a danger to me and those in my home. As BH does not offer a product I can accept, I respectfully request a refund of my money upon the return of this second faulty charger with the label BH can provide.

MaxChargers / BatteryHop 60w magsafe macbook charger/worst customer service

I placed an order for a 60W MagSafe for my MacBook on April 13. I received it in time April 22, when I connected the charger to my MacBook the light didn't turn on. I left the charger connected all day just to make sure, it did not charge.

I sent an email to ask them if it the charger lights up, which they did send a response quickly sating that the light is suppose to turn on. It never did so I sent a response to let them know, and they said that I didn't need to respond to the email because they already had help me...

So I had to start a new email letting them know that I wanted to return it since it was not working and they told me that I probably ordered the wrong charger, to provide them a serial number to verify that it was the right charger, I did. I never got a response back.

Eventually I called and requested the return, I received the return label the same day (May 2). Because they provided a tracking number I could verify when they had received the package which was May 11th. After various emails and phone calls as of today July 5th I still have not received a refund. I keep getting the same response of it will be 4-5 business days to receive it. One of the phone calls the lady that attended me said that they were having problems with their system and their finance department was out. I asked so the reason I haven't received my refund in over a month is because your system was down... long pause and a simple yes...

It's not even about the money, 30 bucks total but this ridiculous.

MaxChargers / BatteryHop Low quality items

Horrible site and service! Bought a charger from BatteryHop and after three months of using it broke!
I contacted BatteryHop and demanded a replacement, but they said that I had only 90 days to return and since the return period was over there was nothing they can do!
That's absolutely ridiculous and everything they sell is just junk! I had my previous charger for over 7 years and the one I bought from BatteryHop was already dead after only three months.
I regret I wasted my money. Do not buy from BatteryHop, they sell very low quality items!

MaxChargers / BatteryHop MacBook charger

I am disappointed with this website, they are the worst ever!
I've purchased a charger for my MacBook and when it arrived it was in a terrible condition. Charger was damaged so I contacted BatteryHop and asked for a refund, but they refused and said that only replacement was possible.
Later I received a return shipping label and sent the charger back. They said that I'll get a replacement within a couple weeks, but instead of that I received a message stating that replacement was impossible. That was the only thing that was said in the message! I don't know what to do next, and these thieves stopped replying! This is absolutely unacceptable!

MaxChargers / BatteryHop Fraudulent warranty

I purchased a 60W MagSafe battery from BatteryHop.com on September 19, 2016. The battery stopped working on February 28, 2017. BatteryHop.com clearly states on their website that they give a one year warranty and will replace the item at no cost.

As per the BatteryHop.com website: "Good News! We offer 1 Year Warranty on all of our products, and 30 days return policy. In short, if our product show any manufacturer's defect, except for normal wear and tear, within 1 year, we will replace your item at no cost. If, for any reason, you would like to return your product back to us with 30 days of purchase, you can do so for a full refund!"

I contacted BatteryHop.com to replace the battery and they stated that there would be a $15 charge. From their e-mail: "For us to process the replacement order, we may need to ask you $15 for the Admin fee and shipping and handling fee in sending out the new unit to you. Once the item is received and once the amount is charged to your credit card, we will immediately send out the replacement unit to your address."

I have pointed out repeatedly that this is not what their warranty states but they refuse to honor their warrant and insist on a $15 charge. As of March 6, 2017, here is their response: "Thank you for getting back to us . We valued all our customers dearly and aim to provide excellent customer service. As per management instruction you have to pay $15 for the shipping and handling fee."

As I am required to pay a shipping fee to return the battery, this additional fee fraudulent is per the terms of their warranty. I will be pursuing appropriate legal channels to obtain recompense.

MaxChargers / BatteryHop Macbook charger//customer service

I ordered a new charger for my macbook. They mailed me the wrong one, so I returned it. They told me they would mail me the correct one, however, they mailed it to the wrong address in the wrong state. When I asked them to correct the issue, all I got was "this issue has been escalated to upper management. Please allow 24 hours for it to be resolved". I waited weeks. Every few days I would call them and I would get the same line. When I asked to speak to upper management, I was told I could not. Finally I demanded a refund. I am fighting to get my money back and they keep avoiding the issue with the same lines they told me initially. This business is a FRAUD.

MaxChargers / BatteryHop Bad site

I've ordered a charger from this website BatteryHop and the one arrived was broken. I contacted BatteryHop customer support and asked for a refund, but they refused and said that they will send me a replacement. Since there was no other choice I agreed. They promised I'll get a new charger within a week or two. Two weeks passed and nothing, so I emailed again and asked about my charger. They said that delivery will take a bit longer because my charger was no longer in stock! Then I said that I want only my money back, but they did not reply. What a scam site! I would not recommend this BatteryHop website to anyone!

I have purchase a charger for my laptop from MaxChargers website. I received it in a timely manner and from the first sight it was ok.
When I charged my laptop I felt a strange smell which came from the charger. It was extremely hot and made a strange noise. I contacted MaxChargers customer service and they agreed to accept it back.
It took them forever to refund my money and I was shocked when I found out they did not give the full amount back!

MaxChargers / BatteryHop Lied about the status of my order

Ordered a charger for my laptop and was supposed to get it weeks ago! After I paid for it I received a notification that my order was shipped with USPS. Weeks passed and my charger never showed up so I contacted MaxChargers support and they said that I need to contact the shipping company. I called USPS and explained the situation. They said that they had no information about my package and that they never received anything from MaxChargers. Contacted MaxChargers again and they claimed that they did send my charger and that it was not their fault. So, who's the real bad guy? I bet it's MaxChargers! I used USPS many times myself and never had any issues. What a dishonest company MaxChargers is.
