BatteriesPlus ipad repair

Took IPad in for battery replacement. That didn't work so they had to send to corporate. Came back with multiple cracks and chips in the screen. Was told it was unrepairable, duh. How can they hand me a devise back looking like this when it was fine when they received it? Also, why did I have to repeatedly call for status when I was told repeatedly they would call me? Shame on you.

BatteriesPlus complaint about not having battery for my cell phone

I talked to a person on Friday October 19th about a battery replacement for my cell phone, this store is in Kingsport TN, they said there was a battery for it in Johnson City TN, and said it would be in there store first of week, I said that was fine that I was flying out for business on October 29th and would return on Friday October 26th, so I just swing in there and they don't have it and that it hasn't been sent. I am not happy at all about this, I would have drove to another location if they could not perform getting this battery, and I was needing it put in too. So I'm not sure what to do but obviously not come back again.

BatteriesPlus duracell suv battery

I purchased my battery from one of your local stores in Tallahassee, FL, now closed, 23 months ago. On Sept 27, 2018, it suddenly quit charging, of course I was out of town in Orlando, FL. I attempted to exchange the battery, only to run into your company bad return policy. At the time I purchased the battery, I asked about the warranty, was told 3 year free replacement. At no point did the employee care to explain your nutty bring us the bad battery for up to 2 days, so we may confirm it is crap! Obviously, you would have never gotten my purchase, that is the worst policy I have ever heard of for a car battery. Here, "please take my power source to my mode of transportation for up to 2 full days, leaving me with NO mode of transport, while we SUPPOSEDLY run OUR special tests to VERIFY what I already KNOW that day". You must be kidding. Yes, I probably should have done more research into a shady company's return policy in case I ever needed it, but I figured asking the right question, the employee would have been forth coming with necessary information.

Needless to say, your company pulled one over me this time, Walmart was happy to sell me a battery, that comes with a SAME DAY replacement warranty, big surprise, a company with honor. I will be telling anyone and everyone that ever needs a car battery WHERE NOT TO GO...Batteries plus bulbs.

You need to be sure to be forthright with all BS warranty jargon so as to not anger everyone who runs into this problem, which I am sure is quite a lot.

Good Day,

John Carlan

BatteriesPlus duracell battery for my lg10 cell phone

I purchased a battery for my LG10 cell phone last year from Batteries Plus. I was told at the time of purchase that it had a lifetime warranty. I began to have problems with my phone holding a charge, or the battery would show fully charged and then drain very quickly. I always keep my phone in a case, so I took the case off, and found the back cover to my phone was not completely closed. I took out my battery and it was swollen in the middle.
I went to the Battery Plus store where I originally purchased the battery, the Town Center location on SE 29th in Midwest City, OK, to get it replaced. The person who assisted me, never asked my name or asked for ID, and told me he would get me a new battery. He was very helpful and nice, he put the new battery in my phone, and then proceeded to tell me he wanted to help me out and instead of the $39.99 plus tax I paid for the battery, he would only charge me $29.99 plus tax for the battery.
I said, what about my warranty? He said the warranty didn't cover swollen batteries, because it wouldn't be the fault of the battery. It wasn't my fault either. I don't over charge my phone. I do however keep it in a case and normally keep it on my bedside table or laying on the pillow next to me at night (it's my alarm clock), which he says could have made it over heat.
If I had known there would be stipulations for the warranty, of this nature, I would not have bought the battery. I felt like I have been robbed. People are in vunerable positions, because they need their phone, and you take advantage of them.

BatteriesPlus battery purchased for samsung galaxy 7 cell phone

My sister was visiting me here in Glendale AZ in April 30, 2018and she needed a new Battery for her phone and we purchased it here at the Bell Rd store. Her cell phone stopped working and the battery was dead. She took it to the Samsung repair center and they replaced the battery and her phone is working once again. Batteries Plus guaranteed their battery for one year and she took it to her local store in Largo, Florida today September 4, 2018. The person helping her said the repair center that told her it was the battery was a liar - he kept calling this person a liar and was very rude in dealing with my sister. He also said it wasn't one of their batteries. However, he did offer a store credit in spite of the fact that she had the original receipt. She will not step back in the store again after being treated so rudely. I certainly don't think this is any way to run a business.

BatteriesPlus store manager

Terrible attitude treats employees like crap walked in on him down talking his employed threatening to fire them if they didn't get there [censored] together when they seemed to be doing there job trying to help out the customers that came into the store. He's very pushy with lots of attitude. This person doesn't belong in management I will not be coming here anymore because of him. I'd much prefer the young girl she took her time with what I needed and did thorough search to ensure I was happy that's good customer service! The young boy was watching her hope he picks up from her great qualities.

BatteriesPlus poor customer service - paid $49.04 for a cell phone battery

Purchased a cell phone battery for $49.04 a few months ago - battery died.
Sales person said it was under warranty but could not find my phone number in their computer for warranty replacement. So, I reluctantly purchased another battery.
I think I paid cash for the original battery. Batteries+bulbs is more concerned about marketing and selling collected personal information. They take advantage of people's ignorance.

BatteriesPlus iphone screen customer service

On July 13 I went into one of your listings trying to get a screen for my iPhone 7 like always do. And a manger told me they do not sell the screens. I told him I have bought a screen before and had a recite to prove it. He still refused and then told me to leave or he was going to call the police. This was totally uncalled for and embarrassing. I then asked for the number to his manger or to cooperate so that I could file a complaint and he refused. The manager name is KEVIN and store number#683.

BatteriesPlus charging port repair samsung note 5

My charging cables ere slightly loose on my Note 5, so I took it into store #49 in Sarasota, Florida tohave the prt replaced before it would not work and accept a charge.
I was told that the job would take a couple of hours. Four hours later I was told that they had broken my screen trying to fix the charging port. My phone was on the work bench in 7 pieces.
I was asked to wait until the next day when they could get a new screen for the phone and they would have my Note 5 fixed just like brand new.
I talked to Mark, the manager, and told him that I wanted a Note 8 in replacement. He thought that I was unreasonable. He said that I should wait for them to fix the cracked screen an replace the charging port.
They broke my phone and had it in pieces. They did not offer a loaner over night until they could supposedly fix my phone.
I am going to see what legal actions that I can take to get my Phone replaced, Batteries plub Bulbs does not seemed concerned that I am out of a phone.

BatteriesPlus lifetime battery warranty

My cellphone battery will not hold a charge even if the phone is never used. I attempted to have it replaced under the lifetime warranty you offer. I was told the battery would have to be tested overnight. If I wanted a functioning phone I would have to buy a new battery. If you eventually agreed my battery was bad you would refund the purchase price. My experience, my opinion was worthless, you are the sole judge and jury and I would have to disable my phone for your test or buy a new battery.
This is a blatant scam. Just give me a functioning battery or a refund.

BatteriesPlus cell phone repair - iphone 7

They broke my phone and Apple told me it was irreparable.

I took my phone in to replace the screen, and I let them know that I was was skeptical of an aftermarket screen as I have had one before that didn't work properly. They assured me that if I wasn't 100% happy, I would get a full refund (the work was warrantied for 60 days). So when I go back to pick up my phone after the repair, I let them know I was not satisfied with the way the screen looked. It was a weird greenish hue and dark (you have turn the screen all the way up and then you still can't see it outside with sunglasses), and there was a fingerprint (hotspot?) on the screen where it looks like it was damaged by the pressure of someone's finger. So the employee told me that he would see about getting some new screens in- he thought maybe this was a bad batch. I was asked to check back on about 3 days. I waited a week as I was out of town and then I called to see if more screens had arrived and I was told that they had. However, when I arrived to replace my existing screen, they seemed confused. The first employee did not communicate my issue to this person (apparently a manager). This person let me know that the new screens will look the same as the one that I had so there was no point to replacing it with the ones they had on hand. He then made a note to order an "Apple screen" and said he would call me when this came in. I waited another week and had not heard back so I called back again. When the "manager" (another one apparently- this one named Oscar) answered my call he insisted that they don't order Apple screens and that he had no idea what I was talking about. He told me to bring the phone in and he would check it out. When I brought it in a few minutes later he flatly told me he thought nothing was wrong with it and that he would not refund my money. I repeatedly explained to him how it looked terrible, was dark and ran my battery out because it had to be turned up all the way, had a bright spot on it from someone's fingerprint, and had some touch screen responsiveness issues. He just outright disagreed. Rudely. After arguing back and forth, he eventually let me speak to the district manager, who explained that this was a know issue (WHAT!?), but refused to offer me a full refund. So he basically admitted that they're running a scam. He would only replace the screen with another different type of screen. I told them I did not trust them at this point and just wanted my money back. I got only 50% back in the end. AND within another week my phone screen completely stopped working. It flashed a few times and then went black. When I took it to Apple they told me that Batteries Plus stripped the screws inside and there was nothing they could do to fix the problem. So I ended up having to BUY A NEW PHONE! Probably the worst workmanship and service I have ever experienced.

BatteriesPlus battery for my i-phone

My I-phone died suddenly yesterday and so I stopped by the Batteries and bulbs location on 5636 North Tarrant Pkwy Suite 106 in Ft Worth Texas 76244 on May 23rd at 7:00pm. I told the gentleman my phone had died and so he got me a new battery for it and said it would cost $69.99. I said ok and so he replaced it for me. He didn't say anything about warranty or not being able to return the battery if there was any problems. There was a little bit of a charge on the phone when I left. I plugged it in all night and this morning it would not come back on. I went back to this store this morning and even though the hours said 8:00am, no one unlocked the door until 8:15am. I went in and said I would like a refund, the battery did not hold the charge. The very young lady said sorry we don't take back batteries. I said where is that posted in the store. She said that is the policy. I said I only had a receipt for the battery, I was not given any paperwork that said they wouldn't take a return. She didn't say anything as I left. I have called my credit card company to dispute this $69.99 plus 5.77 tax charge.

BatteriesPlus car battery

Purchased battery on 8/23/2017
Since December I've been having issues with it and two days ago I finally took it to the store. The battery was dead in two weeks since running car.
Store clerk indicated that warranty will not be warranted since battery arrived dead!
This battery cost 272.10 (OPT 8002-002 12 v lead)
If the battery was holding charge I wouldn't have to bring it to the store! Therefore there is something wrong with it!

BatteriesPlus lying / fraud

Richard E. White

Thursday, May 10, 2018

Batteries Plus LLC.
1325 Walnut Ridge Dr.
Hartland, WI 53029

Dear Sir or Madam:
I had a cell phone battery go bad and when I purchased it I was told it had a lifetime warranty and after 10 months it went bad. I returned it in order for them to honor the Lifetime warranty and receive a to the store of original purchase for a new the Battery + Bulbs store in Webster Texas store # 834 The original sales person was very helpful at first, he tested it, and said it was bad, and started to replace it, and then the store manager Ms. Joanna Guzman who was full of tattoos and rude stated she needed to keep my battery it for 12 to sixteen hours to see if they could test it more and fix it.
I then called Battery + Bulbs corporate customer service department, who stated the area manager would call me in about 2 hours and yes, he returned my call and stated it was their company policy. I informed him these conditions of sale were not part of the original sales and he informed me that these conditions were noted on the battery packaging and told him the store not only did not tell me that to induce me to enter a conditional contract nor did I get the original packaging because they kept it when they replaced my original bad battery.
Sounds like a great way to add any condition to invalidate a "lifetime" warranty, fortunately we have the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Consumer Protection Act (DTPA) which is to protect consumers against false, misleading, and deceptive business practices, unconscionable actions, and breaches of warranty and to provide efficient and economical procedures to secure such protection for Breach of Warranty:
A. Express Warranty: Written or verbal warranty.
B. Fitness: Good can do what the sales person said it would do.
And I as a consumer relied on to my detriment:
A. Their advertising goods or services with intent not to sell them as advertised;
B. Misrepresenting the authority of a salesman, representative or agent to negotiate the final terms of a consumer transaction.
C. Their failure to disclose information concerning goods or services which was known at the time of the transaction if such failure to disclose such information was intended to induce the consumer into a transaction into which the consumer would not have entered had the information been disclosed
Respectfully,
SIG
RICHARD WHITE

BatteriesPlus iphone se screen replacement

They broke my phone and refused to take responsibility! Do not take your phone here to be fixed. They use cheap parts and staff is extremely lacking in knowledge. I did a better job replacing the screen on my iphone 6 all by myself than they did with my iphone se. Now I wish I had just done the work myself.

Basically what happened was:

My phone screen broke and needed to be replaced (screen was physically cracked, I used the broken phone for 4 days before bringing it in to be fixed with absolutely no glitchiness, besides the cracked screen, every other function worked perfectly), I have never had any issues or glitchiness with this phone... That is until after these people tried to fix it. A very young male worker, took care of us on our first visit, he is the one who replaced my screen the first time. He said it would take about an hour, we waited, came back, only to be told that it was going to take longer. (it took yet another hour to be ready.) we got the phone back and as soon as we got in the car, I could tell that they used a cheap screen because the colors and brightness are way off, and then it just started glitching out. Huh, my phone never did that before you guys took way longer to fix my phone... Perhaps this young incredibly green associate of yours caused damage to my phone whilst trying to fix it and because of this and the liability this entails on your end (you know, for breaking my phone permanently and not taking responsibility).

And you know what? After returning several times (there is a warranty, for what idk because they literally broke my phone and it didn't help me at all) and getting the screen replaced one of the workers, joe, had the audacity to tell us "maybe it's time to get a new phone"...

Joe my phone is only one year old and you guys broke it so maybe take a step back and reminisce on that little factoid.

To sum up how it all played out:

We kept coming back until they would actually do something about it. They replaced the screen 3 times, hot head joe was going to put our old broken screen back on during our 3rd visit (after he got fed up with having to work with us on the issue that they caused in the first place), we waited for it to be done only to come back to joe telling us that they apparently "don't have the broken screen anymore so I just replaced it with another screen".

None of the replacement screens were of good quality and my phone is still glitching out.
We did get a refund for the $90 we spent on their service, not sure how i'm going to get a new phone with $90 but I do know that i'm never coming here again and neither is anyone I know nor anyone else I can tell to save them from the hassle of using this facade of a professional business.

*update* from the time I first wrote this review, the quality of my phone has gone even further downhill, drastically. There are lines through the screen, its still glitching out but even more now so, I can't even write a text without my phone either not responding to touch or freaking out and typing a bunch of stuff I didn't even write. I am so livid. Not only does the quality of the screen suck (cheap cheap cheap) but my phone is completely unusable now and I need to use it on a daily basis for work! Now my ability to do my job correctly is being impeded because this company broke my phone and never owned up to it. Do not ever take your phone here. They are unprofessional, do not know what they are doing, use cheap parts, and literally don't care about the customer. I'm taking this to as high in the chain of authority as I can because this is ridiculous. You broke my smart phone and you guys literally don't care! I cannot believe you guys are still in business, stick to batteries and bulbs, stop pretending to be a professional phone repair business!

Do not take your phone here!

Another update: batteries + bulbs has still been no help and I am still livid that they completely broke my phone and tried to sweep it under the rug. The usability of my phone has gone downhill even more (didn't think that was possible but here we are). Someone from their corporate office sent me a message to contact the store manager (a man apparently, all the managers we talked to there were women, so i'm 100% confused about who is actually in charge). These people really take you through the ringer, no one deserves this kind of disservice, especially paying customers who trusted you. So unless someone contacts me and offers to buy me a new phone or reimburse the complete value of my phone, then we're at a standstill. You guys need to learn better business practices and actually value your customers, treat them with some respect. We were so understanding and patient every time we came in only to have hot head joe greet us with anger and annoyance (why so annoyed joe? Because you have to do your job?) also the bbb needs to be notified about your bad business practices so we'll see how that goes too.

BatteriesPlus fix an iphone screen

Hello. I am referencing your Woburn, MA location (173A Cambridge Rd). The date of the incident was 4/30/18. I was told by the front sales associate that providing my Iphone passcode was mandatory or they would not accept the phone for screen repair. He explained that they could be held liable if any features were not working when the repair was complete. This sales associate explained that the passcode was necessary for the technician to perform a 'check' to ensure all features were working properly. I handed my phone and my passcode over to him. He performed a thorough assessment of the phone while he was registering this order, and generating a contract. He handed me the contract to sign, I noted that he had listed all the features and it was stated in the contract that everything was in working order. At this point, I no longer felt it was necessary for your staff to have access to my iphone code, as it was clearly verified that the phone was in working order. The sales associate brought the technician out to speak with me; he explained that the reason why they needed the passcode was to check the phone against a registry to ensure that it was not stolen (a different rationale than I originally was told). I responded that I was willing to wait in the store for them to do this check- reiterating that I was no longer comfortable with your employees having my Iphone passcode. The technician then informed me that he needed the passcode to re-check that all the features were still in working order after the screen repair. I stated that I was willing to do this with him (or another associate) in person, when I returned to pick up the phone. He then informed me that he needed the passcode to be able to go back in and "fix" the phone if any of the features were not working properly after the repair. I expressed to them that I was growing increasingly uncomfortable with turning my passcode over to them. The technician informed me that this was "corporate policy." This sounded suspect to me. I decided to take my phone, as well as the written contract in-hand and leave the store to seek service elsewhere. I later contacted several Batteries plus locations to verify the technician's claim that turning the passcode over to them for a screen repair was in fact mandatory in order for them to complete the work. I asked them if this was "corporate policy" like the technician claimed. Each other location that I had contacted informed me that it was preferable, but not mandatory. Please investigate this claim/store immediately. As I mentioned, a contract was generated- my phone number on that contract is [removed]. My name is [removed]. If you need a copy of this contract, please reach out. Thank you.

BatteriesPlus cell phone battery replacement damage, terrible customer service.

My local store on 20th avenue in Oshkosh Wisconsin permanently damaged my cell phone trying to replace the battery. They ordered a new one and when it arrived they told me to go to my verizon carrier to activate, verizon said I was sent a locked phone, went back to get another replacement shipped, told it was shipped right away, 5 days later still no phone, called batteries plus customer service twice trying to get the district manager to call me, no calls. Now I want them to simply pay me for a new phone and I"ll go elsewhere. It's been 2 1/2 weeks and still waiting.!
Do not have them work on your phone, not only are they incapable to do that but their customer service is horrible. I will never shop there again.
