My husband purchase six candles the day of the buy 3 and get 3 free sale and paid 73.50 so when I looked at the receipt it didn't say anything was for free and the manager explain that the prices are prorated. Well I feel me and my husband was ripped off because if you're advertising free then it should be free not PRORATED maybe the sign needs to say buy 3 and get 3 prorated I feel that's false advertisement the Store was giving
I'm confused about how the prorating works in this situation. What was the pricing breakdown? Has your husband tried returning them for a refund?
They say the original price for the candles are 24.50 but the prorated price were $12.25 so he paid $12.25 for six 3 wick candles but the advertisements was you buy 3 and get 3 free but he paid for all six
I think I understand now. I'm not sure why they broke it down that way on the receipt, but in the end the pricing should be the same. Does your husband remember what the cost was per individual candle? Most likely if just one was purchased then the receipt would display it properly at $24.50. I've seen similar things happen on my receipts at other retailers.
If you haven't used them and still have your receipt, you may be able to return them for a refund.
If my guess on the individual pricing is correct then your statement of "buy 3 and get 3 prorated" would result in different pricing. I could be incorrect of course.
