I did a wire transfer using bank of america in baltimore MD johns hopkins branch to my own account in India using SWIFT codes. I was told that india is a slow to pay country and it takes about 3 weeks and no investigations would be don't till then. It has been 2 and a half months and it hasn't gone through. My bank in india has not received any information regarding this from bank of america and the bank of america is not willing to help. Every time i contact them they tell me that they are sending e-mail to the bank in india to find the status and that the money is in india and nothing can be done about it and it is possible that i lose my money. I have no clue as to how to go about it.

There has been a random transaction of deduction of monthly maintenance fee on my checking account. I work in US since last two years and my salary gets deposited in this account. Still, this monthly maintenance fee has got deducted from my account randomly 5-6 times. I called BOFA cust service multiple times and every time they assured me that the amount will be refunded and they said they will put a note of my conversation regarding this on my account. But the amount never got credited. I have lost more than $25 in such way in last two years. Again this happened in November 2017 and I kept calling customer service and they said they cant do anything about the previous amounts since it is more than 90 days on those transactions but they will refund the recent one. Again it was not refunded. Recently I called BOFA two weeks back and they said I need to go to Bank and only the Bank center can see the transactions and they can refund me. I went to the Banking center today and the manager kept telling me that it is too late now since it is more than 90 days she can’t do anything, She said she can not find any notes of my conversation with customer service center. Instead of sympathizing with me and trying to find out solution, she kept asking me the name of the customer representative and the time of the call. I have called cust service more than 10 times, Am I supposed to note the name of the cust rep each time? This is ridiculous. I mean, who does that? And if she does not have the resource to find the notes of my conversation with them on my account, what good the name and the time of the call do? The manager knew that whatever deductions have happened were wrong but she did not agree even after I told her than this is my salary account and I have been working since last two years. I was expecting she would at least say that the charges were wrong and she can make sure they do not happen again but instead she kept saying that she can not do anything because of the law of 90 days. I was not asking her to refund my money from her own pockets. Her attitude was rude and it clearly seemed she did not want to help or find any resolution. I finally asked if she can check the setup of my account and try to find if my account was wrongly setup because of which I am being charged the monthly maintenance fee but she said she does not have access to that and not trained to do so. And she was calling herself manager of the banking center. I was highly surprised and did not know what to say. Finally she said she can send email to concerned department to research this problem. She did not take my account number nor my name and since it was bank's closing time she got up and indicated that I should leave. It was obvious that she would not send any email about the research request without my account number and name. I had no choice but to leave. She moved on to open the Bank's closed door and I left. I am sure now that nothing is going to happen about the money I lost and I don’t know what to do if they again charge me the monthly maintenance fee. This has been my worst experience with BOFA. I really regret having an account here.

Alright first of all I admit the overcharge was my fault. I currently have two bank accounts because of my temporary stay in Indiana. There are no bank branches located here for BOA. So as it sits, I didn't have any money in my BOA account as I'm not planning on using it again until I reached my final destination. I had comcast accidentally charge my BOA account which was my fault and have no problem paying one overdraft fee. Guess what they do? They charge me everyday I don't get the cash in to the account. I contacted them as soon as I realized my mistake and let them know I was having the cash transferred over but it would take 3 days to be approved. So being the generous understanding people they are they charge my account DAILY UNTIL THE CASH IS APPROVED AND TRANSFERRED. Well you ### got my hard earned money, I hope you are happy, I'm closing my account after comcast finally receives their money. I've always heard you people were trash, now I know.

My complaint is a serious matter pertaining to the Constitutionality of a BofA "representative" closing two of my Bank of America credit cards without cause. I paid my two high interest credit cards off a few days ago and today I received a phone call from a representative advising me that I had to have a "credit review" with her by phone. My caller ID did not indicate that the call was from BofA and I told her I did not want to engage with her via phone. She stated that my BofA credit cards would be changed and I would receive information via mail about it. She was so incredibly rude that I knew enough to contact my local bank. Sure enough..less than an hour later I learned that this snarling rep cancelled my credit cards.

If I was to be "reviewed" for my credit worthiness, she did not obtain any information from me to make her decision. In other words, she cancelled my accounts based on only information from my credit report, which is not a bad report. How can she unilaterally make a decision that my debt to income ratio is wrong if she does not have all the information? She cancelled my cards (because I PAID THEM) and the impact on my credit rating will be adverse. My "status" was fine with them while I was paying 25% interest and is suddenly "not acceptable" because I paid them off!

I have read through many other posts here about similar situations. Not sure I have seen one where cards were cancelled because they were paid off. Obviously, from what I have seen, change in ones "status" is open season for BofA to apply whatever gestapo tactics they want. If this has happened to anyone else and/or if there is any recourse anyone knows of for me, please let me know. I'd appreciate it.

I deposited a nice fat check into a bank of america atm and received a printed receipt. Ok.
I then withdrew $20.00 and also received a printed receipt but no money came out of
The atm machine! When I called to ask them to rectify the situation, they gave me run around, told me to cll
Another number, I did, they put me on hold for 30 minutes, I called back twice and still no help.
Ultimately the bank did nothing to help me, not even to cancel the transaction. But the atm took
My money, documented it, but gave no money. So now it is going to be my word against theirs that I got
No money back. What a rip off!

I am one of those 400, 000 CountryWide home loans that were made after 2017 and before 2017 that the our Federal government gave 8.4 Billion dollars to Bank of American, when they absorbed CountryWide, to help correct the injustices done by Countrywide to us. What the heck if B of A doing with that money? They are not using it for the Obama programs that fund mortgage modifications because that comes out of a totally separate fund from the government. I do not qualify for any current federal plan because my loan exceeds the $729, 000 maximum allowed for the programs. I am a senior citizen, and was retired at the time of the loan, have a payment option, ARM, negative amortization loan, the worst toxic loan out there. I took the loan out with CountryWide in 2017. They did everything possible to convince me to take the loan including overstating my income by 100%, taking out a piggyback HEL to help finance the original loan and failing to tell me that the stated payments on the "good faith estimate" would result in negative amortization. I know that I am responsible for my actions but they were deceptive in the application. A hefty prepayment penalty kept me from cancelling the loan when I realized what was going on. I am now up-side-down in my mortgage by over 50%, have never been late or missed a payment and have excellent credit. Hardtimes have hit me and if nothing is done within the next year I will most probably lose the home as the only way I am making payments now if from my savings, which are not that much.
How can I find out what they are doing with the 8.4 Billion (3.5 earmarked for CA) that was given to them to help out people like me? Do I have a case for legal action? HELP

I took us almost a year from time of listing our old home last year in May 2017 to go to settlement. We found our dream house in January 2017 and then found out it was a short sale (I wanted no parts of a SS!). However... it really is our DREAM house so we made an offer and signed contract of sale 1/22/2017 putting $10, 000 into escrow. We know the market very well and offered a very fair price... not a lowball offer... and it was based on local comps. GMAC was the first mortgage holder. They agreed to the sale right away. Turns out that the second mortgage holder was Bank of America...you can guess the rest. Like Whitney, we have been in limbo the past 4 months. We went ahead and closed on our old home 3/31/10 and moved into "corporate housing" locally. Corporate housing is where they charge you double for a month-to-month lease. We did this for several reasons: 1) allow the sale to go through on our old house, and 2) have a place to stay while BOA goes through their dance. We found out today that they want to close on 7/8/10...one week after the $6500 tax credit expires! So far, we are on the hook for $3000 for 3/4 pt to extend our mortgage rate lock (5.125%) ANOTHER 30 days, $3500 in storage carrying costs for our worldly goods, $1500 for the "extra" move (because we will have to move twice), will lose out on our deductions at next year's tax season since we're not paying mortgage interest for past few months, not to mention the pain of living in a tiny apartment while waiting for our new digs which will be an amazing 4 times the size. We're living in limbo and ask ourselves everyday why BOA has to treat nice normal buyers, who are paying fair market price in our area for this house, with such indifference. We are not the Seller. We did not make this frivolous loan of $150, 000 (second mortgage) on top of a massive first mortgage (yes, the internet has amazing info available if you dig a little!) to someone who was overextended. The Seller is a nice man caught in a bind, and we are the solution for him. At this point, we are waiting to hear back from the Listing Agent if BOA will budge on settlement date. The house does need some work and the $6500 would really come in handy for the repairs.

My Dr. took me out of work because I became ill, Cigna the Disability carrier for the company that I worked for, refused to pay my disability claim so I was left without any Income at all… So I called Bank of America and asked about a loan modification, one of their agents told what materials to gather and fax them to Bank of America’s Modification Department which I did… About 4 days later I received a letter form Bank of America saying congratulations on taking the 1st step in saving your home… The next time I hear from Bank of America it’s from their Collections Department and trying to get in touch with them is virtually impossible… When I did, they informed me that I did qualify for their Modification Program and that is 7 to 10 days I would receive a package by FedEx with the paperwork to fill out and return to BAC… Well now my home is scheduled for a Trustee Sale in July and it’s been a month and I have still not received to FedEx package… I have lost my vehicle, and now I’m afraid I will lose my home, my Domestic Partner and I are both disabled and she suffers from Multiple Sclerosis, she had her back fused and I have Diabetes, High Blood Pressure which both are out of control, I also have PAD a bad left shoulder and arm, and suffer with a Panic Disorder… Bank of America doesn’t care about nothing but their Millions in Profits that they make every year…

I recently moved to Texas, and since my trusted bank (where I keep my REAL money) doesn't operate here, I decided to open up a Bank of America checking account for petty cash - even though I had heard terrible things about them - because their ATMs were so ubiquitous. I figured I would try them for a few months and see how it went. During the "interview" they asked me about my income and where I worked - I asked why, and they said it was for direct deposit purposes. I told them I didn't want to do direct deposit yet, and they said that was OK. Things went fine for about 2 months - I deposited a few small checks (approx. $200 each) and got cash a couple times, but never even came close to overdrawing the account. Then I decided to up the ante and deposit a payroll check I had received for consulting work - $950. It went through fine. Then, the next day, BOA withdraws $850 from my account because "The deposit is higher than your usual deposit" - WHAT?!?! Since when is that a BAD thing?!?! They held it for SIX DAYS - essentially forcing me to give them an interest-free loan...something they'd never do for me, of course. I'm pulling my money out tomorrow. They're a bunch of usurers.

Am in tears as I type this, In 2017 I was desperate for a job, posted my resume on Career Builder, a few weeks later I received a letter offering me a job, I accepted it desperately, the company was based in Canada, they sent me a cashiers check $2700, they requested me to cash it and send them $2400, of which my pay was $300 for the job. Went to my bank then Bank Of America, cashed the check, went to walmart, purchased a Money Gram and sent them the money. 2 days later went to Bank Of America, they had closed my accounts for cashing a counterfeit check. I showed them proof that i had been scammed. They reported me to ChexSystem for Suspected Fraud Activity. My life has been a nightmare ever since, I haven't had a bank account for almost 5 years now. Even after the Federal Trade Commission filed a lawsuit against Money Gram for helping fraudulent telemarketers and con artist trick US consumers into wiring them money. I received a letter from FTC proving I was among the people that were scammed, Bank of America refuses to have this Fraud removed from the credit. I need help !

We took advantage of the supposedly interest free offer we received in the mail. There was a fee of 3% for the balance transfer, which was unusually high since it had no cap, but not unheard of.

When we got our first bill, there was 21.24% interest charged on the loan fee of $360. It was on the bill as a cash advance. I thought it must be a mistake, but no, they informed me that's what they intended. And the interest started accruing from day 1 of the advance. Isn't that cute? So for $3.60/month in interest they have royally pissed me off and I will tell everyone I think might need to know about this ridiculously greedy practice. One would think that with their bad rep in the news these days, they'd realize it's counterproductive to nickel and dime their customers in this manner.

I have been banking with BofA for 15 years. Recently the grossly overpriced fees have been getting to me financially. A few months back I was late on two payments to a credit card held by BofA. About two months later the bank closed the account and raised the minimum payments from about $700/ month to $1900/month. Well, now I am unemployed with no way to pay them off. Now they are sending me to a collection agency after "trying to help". If they had not closed the *** account in the first place, I would have been ok. Do not bank with this company, when times get rough they send their henchmen to get their money with no regard for the consumer.

My wife and I would have been doing well, except for this housing crisis caused in part by the *** banks giving everyone in the world credit and mortgages. Now they are getting the *** credit card holders with only minor blemishes.

Soon, I will be closing my other credit and bank accounts with bank of America. Adios to you BofA. Thanks for cleaning my family and many others out of their hard earned cash.

We will be switching banks completely due to the rude and unprofessional service that we have repeatedly received at the Conshohocken branch on Fayette St.
The employees are unwilling to explain the terms and conditions even when asked direct questions regarding accounts. They have continually mishandled our accounts, given us incorrect information, and refused to follow up on problems brought to their attention.
They have resorted to name calling customers and yelling in front of other customers and have revealed incidents and information regarding our accounts to members of the local public while consuming alcohol at local establishments.
Completely unprofessional, both inside and outside the office. Not the type of company or people that you want to have access to your financial information.

I have had similar situation with BofA in processing the short-sale. The short-sale was approved in July, the buyer backed out of the deal in August. I submitted new offer on Sept. 15. The file was closed in Oct. 20, since, supposedly, " buyer backed out". I kept explaining to the representative that the buyer backed out in August, current buyer is still waiting for approval. But they will do nothing to correct the comments in their system or remedy the situation. Currently, the file has been given to a new negotiator and the process will begin all over again. It is so frustrating!

I am very disappointed and quite frankly shocked I have to write this comment.I was always bragging about Bank of America .Anyway I am as we speak taking my money out of their bank and closing all accounts. I suggest you do the same. They are changing. And it is to bad. In November 08 I received a disturbing letter that due to my credit rating my rate was going to increase on my credit card account.I had always paid them on time and at least the minimum balance so I was upset by this. I called immediately to argue the change I was told, after a long discussion that I could use my card and the rate would stay the same. I thanked him and moved on.Well with Chistmas I made some purchases on my card and to my suprise my rate increased I called to get this fixed and was told thaey could not help me that I used my card therefore I recieved the threatened increase. I told them the situation they said I was given false information and there was nothing they could do.Well there is somrthing they could have done. They could have acknowledged their employees mistake and said from here on out if you use your card it will be at the higher rate. Which would have been fair. But they refused and they have lost a Bank of America supporting customer. Sorry for them They had such a good thing going. Be wary of what they tell you get it in writing! They should be ashamed.

Tuesday, (3/24) I went into your Branch at Gilbert and Guadalupe to pay overdraft fees and figure out why I wasn't receiving banking notifications. I was already very embarrassed about the situation, and the teller made me feel like I wasn't valued at all. When I asked about the notifications, she automatically assumed I was trying to get out of fees, and proceeded to tell me any errors were mine and my fees were not her problem. It was extremely rude and unprofessional. At this point I asked if there was a phone number or person I could talk to higher up, and she refused, saying there was none. I've always had great service with Bank of America, but I was so upset by this experience, I asked her to close my account. I doubt I'll be back. That was the worst customer service I've ever had in my life.

I've been trying to complete a short sale now for over 9 months with Bank of America. My first purchase contract came on Sept 2, 2017 and after waiting 6 months to decide BofA decided that they wanted me to pay and additional 10% over what the buyer was willing to pay. Because I've spent the last 5 years paying the mortgage in spite of being out of work twice I simply don't have any money left. They killed the sale so we relisted the house to include that premium and we now have another contract for that amount and again they are saying they won't approve the sale unless we pony up about 8% this time. I still don't have that money so it looks like they're going to again kill the sale. I can't list the house for this new amount because it simply won't appraise for that amount.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I am very disappointed with Bank of America. I have maintained a steady account balance over the past 15 years with this bank. Out of the blue I am hit with a service charge even though I have been maintaining the minimum balance that I was given. Turns out they recently changed the minimum balance requirements. When I signed up it was to maintain $300 to waive the monthly fee. Now its up to $750! I am now looking into REAL free checking as this Bank does not offer it. Thanks a lot Bank of America.

5 years ago I had some unauthorized charges on my BoA Credit Card. They contacted me before I ever saw a statement because the charges went over my credit limit. I asked to cancel the card and negotiated terms to pay off the card over three years and had them automatically deduct the payments from my checking account (with another bank). I never received a statement from BoA over this time but I kept track of the payments through my bank statements.
After 3 years I get a call from a BoA rep asking me to renew the payments. I was surprised and asked the rep for a balance due and was given an amount that would take several more years to pay. Due to my lack of diligence I could provide nothing in writing that showed I had originally agreed to pay the debt in three years time. The rep was discourteous and not very helpful but when I refused to authorize any more payments I eventually convinced her that I needed to speak with someone else. A very friendly and persuasive bank rep called (I'm sure that's why he has the job) and he convinced me that I had misunderstood the original terms from three years ago and we set up another payment schedule that would pay the debt off in three more years. The new payments were 3x's as much but I just wanted to get it over with and gave him my fax number and requested confirmation of our agreement via mail and fax and also monthly statements, and I received none of these. However, I was still able to track payments through withdrawals from my bank account. Yes, I'm too easy going and it is my fault but after a year I renewed the payments via phone and again requested something on paper. Again, I received nothing but they continued to withdraw $ from my account. Then on the 11th and 12th months they withdrew smaller amounts.
I was contacted by an ANGRY rep who wanted to know when I was going to pay the back amount due plus penalties. When I calmly asked why they hadn't withdrawn the correct amount she said that wasn't her concern but I needed to pay the amount due "NOW". And then she asked me to renew my payments for another year. I almost fell over when she told me the total debt was almost the same as it was 2 years ago! Yes, I've been negligent and bear some responsibility for letting it go on this long but something is wrong and I tried to get her to transfer me to someone that could answer my questions because she said she couldn't.
After 5 years I'd had enough and refused to renew payments until someone that could provide answers contacted me. The rep asked when I could be available and I gave her a date and a time to contact me. For the first time in 5 years I was prepared, I had 5 years of statements, dates and handwritten notes but I never received a call. After 30 minutes I called their customer service number but nobody knew what I was talking about. After 45 minutes of being put on hold and being transferred several times by impatient BoA employees I gave up. Then after two months I received a call from a collection agency which didn't go well because I refused to pay anything until someone could tell me where my payments had gone and I told them I would see them in court. After a week of calls (to my workplace) they gave up and I didn't hear from anyone for two more months when another collection agency, NES out of Ohio, contacted me about settling the debt. Well, that was yesterday and I've paid the current debt in full, $1100 more than the original amount owed. Where have my 5 years of payments gone and why did I never receive anything in writing from BoA?
Don't trust their reps and get it in writing because a verbal agreement is worthless. The reps (follow up callers, not the rude initial callers) tell you what you want to hear just to get more money out of you. Also, sometime over the past couple of years BoA bumped my interest rate to 22%, I never knew that because I never received a statement from them. My agreed upon payments weren't even keeping up with the interest charges!
I'll never get my money back but hopefully someone will read this and it will convince them to get their credit card through someone else. Or better yet, don't use a credit card at all.

I don’t even know where to start. I’m so frustrated with BofA! I have been trying for over a year and I still have not even been told if I even qualify for any type of a modification. My story is the same as all the others...lost docs...different person every time I call with a different answer from each of them...resubmitting docs, etc.

I started the process back in February 2017 because I knew my loan payment was going to increase and I knew I couldn’t afford the new payment. I got the runaround because I wasn’t behind on my payments and had always made my payments on time. After a few months of calling I finally had someone tell me that it looked as though we were going to go through a trial modification and they even gave me a new payment amount (over the phone...I really hope you guys do record all conversations) and they told me I would be receiving the paperwork for that within 7 to 10 days. Needless to say, I changed my monthly payment amount through automatic bill payment through my bank. I continued to call on a regular basis and was told numerous different things (which I have documented), but I believed what I was being told from BofA. The documents never came. One day I received an e-mail alert from Experian Credit Monitoring (service I received free of charge when Countrywide leaked my personal information) that there had been a change in my credit score. Low and behold, BofA said I was behind on my payments. I immediately called to find out what was going on. The representative who I spoke with on that occasion told me that in fact it was documented that I would be going through a trial modification and that once all the paperwork was completed they would most certainly notify the credit bureaus and my credit would be returned to the stellar state it was in prior to starting this process. Again, I was told that paperwork should be arriving any day (again, I hope you guys really do record all conversations).

The next thing that happened could have easily given me a heart attack...I received a packet requesting that I resubmit all the paperwork that I had already sent because they were looking into qualifying me for a different program. Wait!...didn’t I already qualify for something? Aren’t they sending the paperwork for that? Well, I was then told that they have no idea where I got my information from and that a trial loan modification payment amount should have even been stated to me. Really? They why did they do it? So, my credit is screwed and now I have no way to fix it because what I was told was never true. There were no documents being sent to me. I’m just screwed. At this point I decide to just go ahead and send all the documents again, hoping to qualify for this “different program.” Not only that but now that they are saying I’m behind in my payments maybe they will help me...that is what they wanted in the first place.

To make a long story not so long and repetitive to what I’m sure you already hear day after day, I’ve been told they have all the documents and now it’s in review. Then I receive a letter stating they didn’t receive all the required documents. I resend the documents and call them to be sure they received it. I’m told they won’t know for 72 hours if they received all of them or not (well my papers said I needed to have them to BofA within 48 hours or I would be disqualified). So, is that another way to make it easy to disqualify people? I finally got confirmation that all the documents were received.

So, I get assigned a “negotiator” which makes me so happy because now I have a direct line and I don’t have to go through the same thing of being passed around like a bottle of wine at a wino convention. Then, I get the letter that says I did not qualify for the program because I didn’t provide all the proper documents. Really? Then why did your people tell me they did? Now I’m pissed. I call and get a supervisor on the phone and she gives me a date and time of a conversation that I supposedly had with one of the representatives, who supposedly told me that I needed to resubmit all the documents because they expire after 90 days. Now, that’s pretty creative. First of all, I wasn’t available to speak with anyone on that particular date at that particular time, furthermore, I’ve been doing this for a year and this is the first time I am told about any documents needing to be resubmitted every 90 days. So, she files an appeal for me after confirming that all of the documents were in fact received.

The next week I decide to call my “negotiator” who informed me that she received notification that my appeal had been accepted and that she had to give my file back to the appeals department. So, now I’m back in the same messed up funk I was in before. Why? Because I appealed their decision that was wrong in the first place! Go figure. Back to square one. I call again just to make sure they really do have all the documents (because obviously I can’t believe just one person). Again, I am reassured that they had all of the required documents and that my loan is in review. Whew! For a minute there I thought I was going to lose my house.

A couple of days later I received a registered letter from BofA that was a NOTICE OF INTENT TO ACCELERATE. You’ve got to be kidding me! Nope, it’s real...I called and checked. They want $12, 000 dollars by May 19th or they will start foreclosure proceedings.

Received 2 charges of $35.00 on checking account after Deposit had been made
If you look at account detail you see deposit of over $1400 and then 2 charges of $35 for overdraft protection. I called the day of the deposit and the charges it was late afternoon and told that they had not been posted to my account. I assumed (shame on me when dealing with BOA) that would be taken care of. The next day they are still there. I did the online chat (which is a joke) that all they do is ask you to hold while they check on it and say everything is correct. I copy and pasted the charges directly from the on-line banking detail they provide and was told I needed to look at another screen? why do they offer that one? Ridiculos. Customer Service NOT! In florida the only bank that still offers customer service is Citizens Bank and Trust. NOT BOA! They have gotton WAY to big and forgot they need customers and to keep customers need GOOD Customer Service!

The thing is they never contacted me but found my husbands cell phone # and called him. I think this is bull! Please let me know what or if I can do anything.

At the advice of a credit counseling service that is non profit I made arrangements with the 5 credit card companies I had cards with. BOA is the only one that is not paid off in full to this day. They actually collected 300.00 per month for one year while they decided whether they could accept the agreement. None of which went for the balance. I have paid over 5000.00 and still my balance has not gone down. It is the only card service which was unwilling to work with me to get my debt paid off. They are predators.

I call to find out what this is about and they said the account is being closed. I call again to ask why they have no reason just that is has been closed...anyone know a reason?

Bank of America suddenly upped my interest rate to 27%! I have always paid, each month, more than the minimum due. When I called to talk with someone about lowering the rates, I was told, there is nothing they can do. I am currently going to transfer my remaining balance away from Bank of America and will never do business with these folks again. And we wonder why, as tax payers the government is providing bail outs for corporations such as this?... Bank of America has poor ethics and a bad business sense.

About a year ago my wife went to put gas in her car and her ATM card wouldn't read at the pump so she went inside and the clerk told her to go ahead and pump her gas and he would run her card when done. She filled the tank and returned inside to pay, the clerk ran the card and then angerly stated this card is no good, what are you trying to pull. Not sure why her card wasn't working knowing she had plenty of money in the bank she offered him a credit card. He refused it saying she was trying to rip him off and he wanted cash. She told him she didn't have any cash and offered him her drivers license to hold and she would go to the bank and get money. He said " your drivers license is probably fake too, you will not leave until you pay". Now scared she called me and I went to the gas station and paid him in cash. She imediately went home and called Bank of America to find out why her card didn't work. They told her that a business she used her card at had been compromised and for her security they cancelled her card and will be sending her a new one. So we figured OK we will get over it, thinking it wouldn't happen again.
Well fast forward to a week ago, we are vacationing in Hawaii. We pay for the plane tickets, the condo rental, groceries etc. with no problem. Then halfway through the trip she goes to make a purchase and the clerk rudely states your card is no good. Thinking maybe the salt water had ruined the card she goes to the closest bank to withdraw cash and the teller once again rudely states this card is no good and procedes to call the next customer before my wife can even respond. She returns to the condo and calls Bank of America, they tell her they cancelled the card because of suspicious activity. What activity she asks, There are several large purchases in Hawaii. I'm vacationing in Hawaii she responds. Oh well that explains it, I will reactivate your card. So we think all is well. The next day she goes to use it and guess what same thing. She calls them back and know they tell her we can't reactivate a card once it's deactivated we will mail you a new one. I'm in Hawaii she responds. Sorry that's all we can do, they reply. So I am stranded in Hawaii with no money she tells them. Once again sorry, we'll mail mail you a new one. Luckily I had cards with another bank and we went on with our vacation but this could of ruined a very expensive vacation and left us stranded thousands of miles from home. The ridiculous thing is they told her you need to call us before you travel so this doesn't happen. This is our third trip to Hawaii using the same card, never had a problem before. On top of all this we just got home and she checks her account online which is suppose to have email alerts for suspicious activity and there is nothing. Apparently they will shut of your card with absolutely no notice, then tell you sorry nothing we can do about it. We will be swithing to a new bank.

DO NOT use any Bank of America products: banks, credit cards, and especially online services (or lack thereof!)

I closed the account because they arbitrarily upped my interest rate (after my bank incorrectly refused payment and charged me returned check fees).

I then set up automatic bi-weekly payments to ensure my payments weren't late, and they still manage to get me! I don't have any ability to change the day of the week that the payment is taken out. I get paid on Thursday, but they take payments on Friday. The last payment was due on Thursday, 12/3. Because they don't take the payment until Friday, they charged me another #*%%@&# LATE FEE.

When I called just now to make a payment this week (in addition to the ones made every other week) I got a message from online banking that I HAD MADE THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PAYMENTS IN A MONTH. What the *$&#. We're encouraged to stop paper billing to save them money, use online banking...but, wait...only in so much as it will net them the most extra charges possible. I am incensed! I like to be kissed when I get screwed!

So, I called to see how to get another payment in this month...are you ready? I was told to MAIL IN A COUPON WITH MY PAYMENT! Wait a minute...did you hear me say I use online banking to save them money? I don't have hard copy coupons! OMG! When will big business stop cheating us?

I know they've got their own issues, but gotta say, I can not wait to pay these ((*^^^%*& off! You think the credit debacle is bad now?!?!?!?! Wait until we all get fed up with being treated like this and we ALL stop using credit cards...THEN where will these *%$*(&*^^ be? If I win the lottery, I'm not going on a fancy trip, or buying a big house or fine car...I'm paying off these companies that get away with what could be argued are criminal activities.

Applied for a home mortgage refinance with the great Bank of America. Loan officer said I was pre approved but I needed to send proof of flood insurance. He also said no other information was needed at the time. A week later I get a letter from Bank of America asking for 13 items to prove I have the assets I told them about. Well the letter came Friday night and it said if I did not give them all the information they needed by Sunday and they are not even open on Sunday my load would be cancelled even though I already paid them $400 for the loan application. I talke dto my loan officer and he said I would have to fax in the information. It was about 50 pages. I told him I could email it a lot easier because I hate fax machines. Do you know how much it costs to go to Kinko's and fax 50 pages? Ithought this was unreasonable and that I should be able to email the information, so I sent an email to his supervisor along with several voice messages but still have not got a response. BOA has no complaints department and I am going crazy. Since I did not want to cancell my load, I faxed all 50 pages. Only took 5 trys. You can check your staus on line which I do day after day and nothing seems to hppen there. My 4.5% rate will end in 30 days and they are dragging it out until it will go up.

Bank of America continues to send me my bill late. This is a trick by them to be able to charge their customers "late fees" I have contacted them several times and they say they are required by law to mail the bill at least 21 days in advance. When I ask them why my bill continues to show up late they all have the same corporate answer "we have no control over the post office" I then ask them why I can no longer access my bill on line and they say "you can't?" Well I am tired of them stealing from me I am going to stand up and as I told them simply no longer pay my bill.

Complaint - mary mccoy - small business escalation supervisor...- worst service provided by her...

- this must be the 5th or 6th time i called to discontinue online invoicing and direct payment service..
- boa had been charging me 20 bucks every month every time i was told that they have opened a service request and someone would get back with the answer/resolution...

Finally talked to mary mccoy: (supervisor small business escalation department - supposedly highest rank i could talk to...)
- she says that she is highest in the ranks - can only go give $40 back..
- she says there is no other process for getting refund for inappropriately charged amount...
- she says that people who have told me have lied and she is the ultimate authority for boa...

I am extremely disappointed to get such a response... and top of that she decides to hang the phone up declining to transfer the phone to her supervisor when asked multiple times...

I have to agree that boa does have policies that are designed to rip customers off... and the attitude is a dont care attitude...

So I sell a car. BOA asks me to fax them the title and registration. I have 3 conversations with the loan officer, and never does he ask me what name he should disperse the check to. I sell the car and the buyer gives me a BOA check with my name for $1, 000 more than I sold the car for. I write him a personal check for the difference. I go to the local branch to cash the check, and they decline it because the check is made out to my son who has an account with BOA. The problem is that my son is in the military and overseas. BOA tells me that they are overnighting a new check on Friday. On Monday, I still have no check and call to get a tracking number. The loan officer says he will call me back with the tracking number. Tuesday comes, and I still have no check, no tracking number, and the loan officer won't return my calls. I call Customer "Lack of" Service and after spending 10 minutes (I timed it) in the telephone tree from hell, I talk to a manager who is as helpful as ice cubes in the Arctic. After speaking to the 2nd manager, I am informed that there is no tracking number because they haven't issued a check. So it is okay for this financial institution to blatantly lie to their customers. I have called and left messages all the way up to a Senior Vice President, and nobody can tell me if and when I will get paid. As it stands, I am out a car. I am out a title to a car that I legally own. I am out $1, 000. And freaking BOA can't even tell me if or when they are going to pay me. They are undoubtedly the worst corporation in the U.S.

I have a "Fannie Mae" mortgage managed by Bank of America,
they will not even speak with me about mitgation of my mortgage, to help rescue it from foreclosure. I have called them no less the six times and spent hours trying to reach their mitgation dept to no avail. I thought the government gave the banks money to help rescue mortgages which are severely unside down and in imminent danger of going into foreclosure...BOA is cheating us citizens of the recovery money from the government.

Bank of America has been calling my house 3 to 4 times a day offering identity theft services. This has been going on for the past 9 months. We've told them we are not interested and do not call anymore. It hasn't worked. I asked them to take me off their list and they say it takes 30 days and they call AGAIN soon after. My solution is to harass them until they take my number off. Bank of America is the worst bank ever. They've resulted to verbal terrorism to sell a useless product and should be held accountable!

I am having checking account with Bank of America which is more than a year old. I registered for eStatement. Because of some personal reason, I had to have paper statement for 3 months (June, July, August 2017) and for which I had given more than 25 requests and none of them is finished till today. I had put so many requests by calling their customer care, by online banking, by sending mail from online banking and by contacting them on 24x7 live support. (KMM103749529I58L0KM, KMM105922405I58L0KM, KMM105972979I58L0KM, KMM107414357I58L0KM) is the list of request numbers given by online banking.
Actually I wanted this statement in India and when I asked them whether they send statements to foreign country or not, I got different answers all the time. Even some executive accepted my request to send statements to India and all requests are shown as "Finished". When I asked for status, they told me that they were canceled because the address was outside the country.
Whenever I contact them either by calling or by online chatting, each and every time they put new request. Next day when I again contact them to know the status of the last request, they tell me that there is no such request and ask me to put again a new request.
I am really frustrated by this kind of customer service and would suggest all people to think twice before opening an account in Bank of America because what else we can expect if they can't give simple bank statement.

On 9/29/2017 I went to the Bank of America branch on Providence Rd. in Charlotte, NC to deposit my husband's long awaited unemployment money. The money had come in the form of a NC eppicard/debit card. My husband and I share a checking account at BofA. In order to use the card to pay bills we needed to get the money on the card into our accounts. The teller asked for my ID and BofA debit card. She had me call the eppicard to find out the exact balance; which I did in front of her. She took the eppicard and left the counter; no details were given as to how she was going to deposit the money from the eppicard. She returned a few minutes later and handed me a receipt. Before I stepped away she stopped and said she had just noticed that the name on the eppicard wasn't mine. I confirmed it was my husband's and that I was depositing it into our joint account. She then told me she had not yet deposited the money but had done a cash advance for the full balance instead. She then became very belligerent. She took the receipt she had given me back and left the counter again. After quite a while I saw her at another counter. I approached her to find out what was going on and she said she was going to reverse the advance. I told her not to but to ask for the manager instead. While I was waiting I saw another woman approach her and the two of them huddled at another counter for a while. Afterwards they approached me, handed me the eppicard and said the whole transaction had been reversed and told me they would have nothing else to do with it.

It is now 10/4 and the balance on the eppicard is still zero. Both my husband and I have tried numerous avenues to get Bank of America to tell us what happened to our money but they refuse. They contend that now it's a problem between us and the eppicard.

My contention is that if they were not authorized to do a cash advance in the first place they should not have done it. This was their first error. They tried to make the error disappear by reversing the transaction and washing their hands of the whole thing. However, the money has not been returned to the eppicard. The last transaction shown on the eppicard was the cash advance. Where is the money? Since they were the last people who held the money it was their responsibility to make sure they gave it back. Bottom line, we are out our money and the last people to have it just won't cooperate in any way to find out what happened to it. Any suggestions?

Bank of America is assesing late charge that I did not incurr in the amount of $ 96.83 from the month of December 2017. I sent them proof that I do not owe this amount; but they keep including this late charge on my monthly statements. In March 2017 the statement of acount showed the late charge again. I did not pay it. I made my March payment in the amout of $ 2, 575.43. Bank of America did not post my payment when they received it on March 4, 2017, argumenting that it was a short payment. On March 17, after the grace period, I received a call from a loan officer stating that I will be assesed a late charge unless we pay, right away, the amout of $ 95.25. When I asked why, she said that it was because there was a shortage in my Property Taxes which said charge was never disclosed in my account statement. To avoid the harrasment I paid it; but it was posted, without my consent, to lthe late charge in dispute. Sincerely,

I'm writing regarding an affidavit that I submitted some months ago about a fraudulent debit that appeared on my checking account. I gave them my debit card number to cover the cost of mailing of $5.95. That's the only payment that I actually authorized. Then, about a week later they sent me an email saying that they would be sending out another package, unless I contacted them by phone to cancel it. I tried daily for 2 weeks to reach them. Their phones are set up so that you get put on hold and disconnected after 2 minutes. Either that or it's busy. I also tried to email them, but they would not accept emails. In essence, they made it impossible to cancel the order. I gave up and thought that I would just return or not accept the package when it arrived…..but I never received anything although they insist that it was left on my doorstep. After this, they continued to charge my account for various amounts under different names. It seems that B of A is so concerned about fraud when I use my card in another country, but think nothing of allowing this company to have free access to my funds. I contacted my personal banker several times, and spent literally hours at her desk trying to resolve this issue. In the end, she recommended that I open another account, which I did. I thought that this would be the end. All the charges had been reversed at this point. I opened the new account in Dec and in Feb received a letter from B of A stating that they had concluded their investigation and that the monies had been permanently credited to my account. Now, 3 months later, I'm being back charged for the amount of $178.00 and to add insult to injury, B of A is charging me $105 for insufficient fund because I closed my account at their recommendation. I not longer feel that my funds are safe at B of A and will be transitioning everything over to Wells Fargo Bank. I'm in my 60's and have been a good customer for over 30 yrs. I have several business accounts as well as mortgages with your bank. I had my personal banker, Candace Chavez phone the fraud department on my behalf and they were rude and inconsistent with her, first saying one thing and then changing their story and telling her something else. In this time of economic crisis and turmoil, you'd think that B of A would go out of their way to earn our business….as you always say at the end of your phone call. My expectation is that you re-open this case and consider reversing these charges. I would like to hear back from a supervisor and in the meantime will also be forwarding this letter to AARP and the newspapers.

BofA claims no knowledge of this company AND no affiliation. They are full of crap! I have been "offered 2months worth of charges" credited back to my account and told to file a complaint with the "Fraud" dept @ B/A...Which doesn't have a phone# listing! Yet the polite little girl on the end of the line said she could transfer me directly to them at which time I got a voice recorded message that says they were busy and to call back later...Blow Me!
