Paid abut $1000 for a G2 for my 2017 Chevy Silverado. First extended trip the support rod pushed through the cover from the wind force. Cover was replaced. Now 2 years later the rubber that holds the panels is splitting across the joint. BAK refuses to stand behind this defect. These covers should not have these problems and last more than 2 years!

I have filed an issue with Auto Anything and they have not responded. I have an email trail that I can send you and pictures of this basically falling apart after less than 3 years of use.

To date, I have not received shipping information.

I have called the company, emailed the company, and chatted thru their website email. Company is unresponsive. I suspect fraud.

The wait times on phone calls are typically more than 1 hour wait time in which they are claiming higher than normal call volume. It does not matter what time of day that I have called.

I ordered a cover and received shipping confirmation and expected delivery day. I hadn't received my cover 2 days pass the expected delivery day so I contact BakFlip. I was told a dozen things by a dozen people and nothing was every resolved. I was hung up on and kicked out of instant messaging. I paid a premium price but did not receive premium customer service. My expected delivery day is now 5 months out and customer service told me that they don't have control over fed ex. Clearly this is a shipping/ fed ex issue but bak flip has made no attempt to resolve my issues and has continued to lie to me. Spend your money somewhere else. I wouldn't recommend purchasing a product from them.

I bought cover a little over 4 years ago I knew my warranty was out. I contacted customer service to let them know how unhappy I was with there product it was not a cheap top dipping down holding water on top/panels falling down inside. mister misale there rep. said they would let me have a new one at half price I told him I rather deal with another company I will not recommend ther product it would fall apart after a few years soo good luck bak industries tellin all my friends with trucks go somewhere else. Kelly Jones Kelly Jones I ordered and received my $1, 000 cover and it was very damaged with rubber ripped & white like mold on it I have contacted BakFlip since I purchased directly from their site, and no one will answer even after being on hold for over an hour. I was ale to contact some outside customer service which said they would be in contact with BakFlip and I was sent an email from this customer service but they wont respond after initial email. I read of horrible customer service prior to purchasing, but never thought they would send out any cover in the condition of this one. Beware of purchasing anything from BakFlip I'm going to work with my credit card company to get the charges reversed based on zero response. This company should be supported and forced out of business since they can careless about their customers.

Purchased($1, 200 with installation) this folding tonneau cover in May 2016 for my new Tacoma. I really liked it at first, but just after the one year warranty expired the cover started to come apart. By June of 2018 it had pretty much disintegrated and looks like hell. It leaks like a sieve, all the folds have cracked and split, and the surface material has pulled away from the vinyl edges. When I returned it to the retailer, Sportsland in Rogersville, MO, they called the company. The response was essentially "Too bad it's yours now and there's nothing we can do." The retailer said that they had discontinued this specific product because of multiple similar problems. Buyer beware... and buy something else.

I Purchased a backflip cover for my 2015 Chevy Silverado on March 11, 2016 about a year and a half ago I noticed that it started lifting in the middle of the cover it has gotten worse and now it's leaking. I brought it back to the dealer Speedworld in Riverhead New York phone number [protected] I took my truck there to show them that it leaks badly and how bad it looks they took some pictures and called me and said they could not help me. I have been sick for quite a while and had some pretty big surgeries I was not able to bring the truck in with this first started happening I have spent a lot of money on this cover, I paid that $1031 to have it installed and the dealership has not tried to help me at all that's a lot of money for a cover that is a piece of garbage. Ordered a bed cover and only received the cover with no mounting hardware. Took 2 more weeks to get all of the parts needed. After mounting the cover, I discovered a design flaw. Contacted there service rep. via email, his response was somewhat of a surprise, basically telling me good luck, your on your own. I will not be doing business with this company in the future.

Bought online using the drop down menus getting my exact truck and configuration.

Showed up in a box saying 09-17 and I have an 18 model. I called Bak Industries to see if it will fit and they very condescendingly said "yeah, it was just made last year before the 2018 model came out but it fits"

Guess what. I tried installing it and several things DID NOT FIT. I had to cut and customize the gutters, get my own mounting setup for the gutters.

The Pop Rod and Mounting socket mounts required holes in the Ram's truck bed that were larger than they were on the 18 model. I tried making it work by going to Lowes, Home Depot and Harbor Freight to find screws that would fit to no avail.

That's when I began a month and a half long thread of emails trying to get them to help me make this work.

Finally got a the Customer Service Team Lead on the phone today, James Caldwell, and he said I had to go get smaller screws or drill 8 holes into the truck bed myself to make them larger. I told him I tried to find the screws and couldn't and asked if they would send me the appropriate ones to which he responds "no".

For one of the most expensive tonneau covers in this category, I was less than excited to hear this complete apathy and unwillingness to help.

I bought a BAKFLIP for my 2011 Sierra. It is the folding Tonneau cover. I purchased the Bakflip through 4 Wheel Parts and had them do the installation in June 2011. We got our first rain in January and when I opened my tailgate my carpet kit was soaked. It also has paint peeling on the cover in the front. I contacted 4 Wheel Parts who took pics and sent them to Lauren, VP Operations. She requested add'l pics which I took and sent to her. They never sent a company rep to see the bakflip, t5hey only offered to give me a replacement but will not cover the cost of removing the original and installing the replacement. What a GIP!
