bajaj avenger / Warrany parts pending
I am Ajit Gupta, who had purchased Avenger 200 from S.K Bajaj, in April 2008. I had been regularly visiting S. K Baja for all me servicing which is all done on time. I was always treated by Mr. Gopalkrishnan.
I would like to tell you that in my 2 years of servicing at S. K Bajaj, I had worst experience for the replacements in the warranty. I have never got the replacement on the same day of the servicing.
Lastly when I visited S. K Baja in April for my final service there were number of parts which we committed by S. K. Bajaj for the replacement which will be done later as they were no parts available.
I had been committed to replace the following parts by S. K. Bajaj, Mr. Gopalkrishnan and Mr. Sanjay Nalawade (Service Manager) :
1) Silencer : It is rusted (Snap attached)
2) Saree Guard : It is rusted (Snap attached)
3) Head light assembly with the bracket: It is rusted (Snap attached)
4) Front Mud Guard : Color peel off at the black and the Color joint. (Snap attached)
5) Speedometer: both the trip meter and total km not working.
6) Fuel gauge : Fog accumulates in the fuel gauge. (Snap attached)
7) Shock absorbers: the tubes and the nuts are rusted. (Snap attached)
8) Rear Tyre botls : It is rusted (Snap attached)
9) Lest mirror nut : It is rusted (Snap attached)
10) Clutch adjuster : It is rusted (Snap attached)
11) Engine does not starts when in Gear or if clutch pressed.
I had been complaining for all the above things from at least 1 ½ years now but, Mr. Gopalkrishnan had always been committing me that I don’t need to worry and he will arrange for all the parts.
Apart from the above parts I was also committed for replacing the from disk plate. This is because, it was damaged by the enlace of S. k. Bajaj works man. I got the front brake shoe replaced at the 10.000 Km scheduled services. But after that I started getting problems from the front brake, it was making noise. This was complained to Gopalkrishan number of times (at least 4-5 visits) between 10, 000 Km to 18, 000 km. To solve the problem, the S.K Bajaj person used to open the brake shoe and rub it against the paper and install it again. There was no noise for 100 – 120 km but the noise later it used to come back again.
At 18, 000 km, when I made a complain to the manager about it to the works manager, the person found that the brake shoe was worn out and it had left lines on the disk, damaging it. As per the reaction of the works manager, Mr. Gopalkrishnan and the workmen working on the bike it was absolutely clear that the disk was damaged only for 2 reasons: a0 faulty brake Shoe and b) negligence of the workman. If the faulty brake shoe was identified as faulty earlier only my disk would not have been damaged. Hence the Disk plate will also come under the replacement at the cost to S. K. Bajaj or Bajaj auto.
I had been talking to Mr. Gopalkrishan at [protected] till last month, even till then he was assuring me that all my replacement parts has been shipped and he was supposed to call me so that I can get the bike for getting it installed.
Also would like to tell you that Avenger 200 has turned out a very bad bike in terms of getting rusted. Almost all the parts have got rusted and the service of S.k. Bajaj was pathetic. Not at all satisfying.
I was replacing this avenger and the old existing bajaj pulsar with ne pulsar 220 and pulsar 180 but will 99% not buy it now. I will have to find a other option form hero Honda, TVS and other brands.
Hope I will be getting some positive response from Bajaj Auto to save Bajaj’s reputation.
