I am now unable to create a new ad or edit an existing ad since it appears Backpages has added a new requirement: A Social Media Account or Profile. I do not have a social media account that I want associated with my ad. There is no purpose for that. Backpages should make this feature "optional", not a required field.
If Backpages fails to remove this requirement or make it at least optional, I will likely take my advertising money to another venue.
Backpagedollars.com scammed me out $25.00 from a prepaid walmart gift card. And wont return emails or anything to fix this.i emailed backpage.com and got no response as well.
IMO I think backpage moderators are in it with the government and each cities local police, or the site may be ran entirely by the government. In theory what if they delete all the ads of new ESCORTS that have no major criminal records because they have no leverage to get deals out of them helping them bust Johns in sting ops? Or can't get them to turn in specific info/habits of johns and [censor]? Nothing else explains new ads getting deleted I hear about this all the time. I know a local random girl who tried to post an ESCORT ad and had NEVER escorted before and the ad was instantly taken down too. Its like a private club or something and they only want certain ones. Something bigger seems to be going on with BP.
Anyone can help? I post an ad and immediately it gets removed within 5-10mins i dont post anything inappropriate or explict i have the proper weblink i used before a couple of days before. . I wasted 8 paid ads on women seeking men section and all keep getting deleted says community removed i dont believe its other girls deleting my ads its way to quick although i have had almost 250 ads posted in the same account i dont know if that would be an issue? I see other girls with way too explict pics and their own twitters/Instagrams on their ad.. seems like everywhere i go different cities & states im having trouble! Anyone else going through the same? Please help!
Backpage sucks! Clearly they do not care about the clients who have been faithful to them for years! I told them I've got a Facebook account apparently that's not good enough! I am frustrated and disgusted with them!
I have the same issue. Not sure what social media backpage is looking for.
I have tried to add a couple of my profiles and it keeps telling me they are not valid ...backpage needs to fix asap

They don't even indicate what they want. I tried to post a link to a social media account but the site I had a profile on isn't one of the social media sites that they are looking for. I assume they mean either a Facebook or Twitter account which are two sites I avoid.
i have the same issue like yours, and i do not have media page so i cant edit my Ad too.hopefully, the can fix the issue as soon as possible

As a private business, they do have the right to make this a requirement. It is likely that they do so to cut down on spam. Have you considered making a blank social media account?
If they are going to change this requirement then they should give money back to the people who deposited money and can no longer post ads. The original terms of service was that they wouldn't have to have a social media account and now they can no longer post because of the change. Nobody should be forced to create a social media account just to post an ad. One more reason Backpage is going downhill after the government forced them to stop allowing adult ads claiming that despite Backpage cooperating with police reporting suspicious ads, they are aiding and abetting in porn trafficking.
Backpage is invading my privacy and I am unable to post it ad that I've been posting for a year-and-a-half now despite the fact that I have a Facebook account and told them as much! I have sent multiple emails to Backpage asking for help with this but got no response whatsoever! Furthermore be forewarned Bitcoin for Backpage is a scam! They took my credit card number took my money and I never got my credits although they swear Bibles that they're not a scam yes they are! Don't fall for it! By the way does anyone know if there is a phone number for Backpage? I know they probably won't answer even if there is one but I'm really frustrated and I need my ad to be posted! One more thing can anyone help me out with another site where I can legally post my ad without having to have a link to Facebook or any other social media sites that will invade my privacy?! I am really frustrated and disgusted with Backpage! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
