Award Opportunity Group Money Winnings Scam/Rip off your money

My husband recieved a LAST CHANCE TO RESPOND You Have been confirmed as The ONLY Exclusive owner of official numer 100326XXXXXXXX so fourth referening more the $3, 495, 000.00 Reply with in 10 days send $20.00 cash, check or money order payable to AOG for secure processing and documentation release fee. I almost did it but thought i sould check it out on the interenet. Boy sure glad I did. Looks like its a big scam to rip you off of your money of $20.00 or even more if a check was sent for payment because then they would have your bank account number, routing number and every thing they needed to empty your bank account. Some one needs to put a stop to this. Its hard enough these days to get by with out this kind of crap. This was received via United States Postal Service. I'm from Stockton, CAlif.

I'm in the UK. My step father received the same letter just before Christmas. He was all set to send off the £20 which the letter asked for but luckily called me first.

I have reported the scam to Consumer Direct. Hope something can be done to catch these toe rags.

I'm in the UK - I received the same letter today.

Isn't this considered mail fraud in the US - so cant the perpetrators be prosecuted as such? Supposing they could catch them...

They probably get around it by the small print which says "This communication is not a sweepstakes or award notification and does not guarantee that you will win any sweepstakes."

We're the lucky ones who are savvy enough to Google these things first. Imagine all the people who didn't check first...

I'm in Australia and i received one today. I knew it was a scam though. I jumped online and did a search to see if anyone knows the origin of these scamming mongrels and if they have been caught. I cannot see how the government / banks / police (or whoever the appropriate authority is) cannot find out where the money is going to and catch the ###. Exact same amount etc as above and asking for $30 to release the money...

Thanks so much for posting this information. I received this letter to as well as alot of other offers from this company. I thought to send them the money to but instead I got on this page and saw your responses. I am a hard working 19 year old who is self supporting. I am trying to go to school and trying to pay my bills on time and put food on the table. The fact that someone would want to take advantage of my little bank account is appauling. How could you sleep at night knowing this ### is fake. excuse the language but thats what this is.

Award Opportunity Group AOG MONEY SCAMS

I received this letter from this company ( Award Opportunity Group ) informing me that I had over $3, 495, 000.00 dollars waiting to be released to me and that I had to send $20.00 dollars to them for them to release all that I'm entitled to. But I was very concerned about this letter and was ready to send the money to them but instead I got on the internet and checked to see if there was any claims against this company and I found that this was a fraudulent company trying to get my money but I did not send any money to them ! Someone needs to stop this garbage from happening before this so called company can get anyone elses hard earned money ! Thank You Kindly, Ronald E Anderson Sr.

These THIEVES are opperating under hundreds of made up names all over the world! They target elderly, needy and inexperienced people alike. They send my mother their craftily written enticements by the dozens every month. I am not always able to intercept the responses she makes so it just makes them send more. I desperately want to warn people to READ EVERY WORD CAREFULLY. They opperate legally by Promising Nothing More than Reports/ Data/Documents and the like for money you MAY have won, or are ELIGABLE to win etc. BEWARE! You DO NOT HAVE to PAY MONEY to Win money.

Award Opportunity Group Money winnings

I received a letter stating " You have been confirmed as the ONLY exclusive owner of official number 100- - - - - - - ------
Referencing more than $ 3, 495, 000.00 This is your last chance to respond!" Then it asked me to send $20.00 to release document fees. I went to check if this was a scam and sure enough it was. How dare these slime balls send me this letter. I have real needs. Like money to take care of three kids and send the fourth to college, instead of working two jobs to help him and keep the family going. Well I did send the jokers a little letter of my own with a fake $20. in it. Those who dish it out should be able to take it I say.

I got one too in Australia - same amount of $3, 495, 000.00, the only exclusive owner, last chance to respond - but they are now asking for $30.00 cash - well maybe for Australian residents they are asking $30.00. I said to my husband "wow look at this!" But was totally sceptical and thought that I would look up some info about it and yes sure enough found this incredibly helpful info from all of you who have experienced the same thing. I appreciate it because as sceptical as I was I kind of thought "well $30 isn't much to see what happens" so I am glad I didn't now because there is no way in hell I ever want to support people that think of no good schemes like this to raise the hopes of unsuspecting people. It is wrong and they should be criminally charged with attempted extortion!

Today I received the letter of final notification. Congratulations you have been verified to collect $3, 495, 000.00 and you must reply within 10 days. Well, how easy is that. How do they have access to our names and addresses? The scam is evident, lucky i checked the web site and how dumb are they. I will reply with a note to them but I will pay them with a $5 Monopoly Note so they can use it wisley and maybe they will release my winnings! Ha Ha! How funny. People have nothing better to do unfortunately. They should be tracked down and stopped. Charged with false advertising. Cheating people of their hard earned money especially vunerable people who have needs! There must be something someone can do to stop this...

I"m so glad that I check out this website. Because I received the same kinda notice. I was thinking to myself. Is this real? Or is this a SCAM. How could these people do such things to many people. They should go out find real jobs. We all have our own families to take care of and not worry about crap like this. This makes me really mad! How do they find out about our address? People should keep our information confidential at all time that remains. Like I said I'm glad that I check this website out.

Today is the third time in the past 2 weeks that I've recieved a 'Notice of Pending Cash Award' document. It is a scam! Read the document carefully and also the fine print at the bottom. They word the document in a way to make you think you are going to win but read it slowly and carefully several times. They are actually saying that you are going to receive a report of the release of $3, 495, 000... Also the fine print says that this is not a sweepstakes or award notification and does not guarantee that you will win any sweepstakes. AOG is a research and reporting service. There is no mention of a sweepstake or giveaway company. At the end of the fine print it says quote, 'You do not need to purchase this report to enter or win any sweepstakes.' Always read carefully ALL of the print!
