You think you are giving your credit card number to place a bid on an item. Then after you've entered info do you discover that you have siged up to buy bids. The chargw was $80.00. I canceled immediately. They then charged my card for 159.00! What the additional 79.00 is for I have no Idea. Please assist if you can.

09/18/2010 Swipe bid is definitely a scam. They charge $159 when you agree to bid. They say there is a warning and request for agreement to be charged this amount, but I copied the page where I put Credit Card info before I left it and it does not give a warning or explanation that a charge is coming. BEWARE OF SWIPE BID - THEY WILL SWIPE YOUR MONEY!

I was stung by them, and followed all the correct procedures to reclaim the money they took from me. It didn't work. It's a year later and I won't forget these ###. Ever. That they are still conning consumer after consumer is disgraceful, and that the FTC permits it to go on by allowing such a company to remain in business is beyond me.
