Aviva PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE LEADING TO DELAY IN GETTING MY POLICY SURRENDERED AMOUNT

I want to formally lodge a complaint against Aviva Life Insurance company India Ltd..This company has cheated me since begining.I was given life bond 5 by a sales executive and was told that I can surrender my policy anytime after 3 years without any policy surrender charges. But now, when I went to aviva's office for surrendering the same, I got to know that there are many charges which would be deducted, but till date no one was ready to inform me that what is final amount I am going to get and what would be exact deductions. Moreover, it was heights when I came to know that policy surrender proceeds takes a time of one month. As per IRDA norms, any ULIP if surrendered before 3pm, goes for processing same day and it, takes 3 working days to get the surrender amount.I had surrendered my policy on 1 April 2010 in Aviva's FC Road branch, Pune and the same was received by the officials at 12:02pm.I have the receiving for the same duly signed and stamped.Accordingly I should have received the maturity proceeds by 6 April, considering 2 apr as public holiday and 4 apr as sunday. But today its being 15Apr, i.e exactly 12 working days have passed and I have still not received my policy surrendered amount. Also, when I called up customer care, they told me it will take around a month to get the same settled, since systems are down.I have also lodged complaint for the same no. being PROB_04/09/[protected], but till date I have not received any revert from them.Every time when I call, I have been given the same excuse that systems are down.My simple question being, does this company functions manually or whenever their's a complaint, systems donot function?Or systems automatically work when there's a new login? This is the worst ever experience I have ever had with any company.Such callous behaviour is not expected by a company which is being promoted by Dabur Group, and from Aviva, which is UK's largest company.Such pathetic service levels only leads to more and more customer escalations and bad word of mouth publicity.

If anyone has some information, kindly share the same with me, so that issue can be resolved on urgent basis

I am NRI, I have been advised by an agent Bajaj Capital to taken AVIVA LIFE INSURANCE policy and also told me that we can withdraw the policy after 3 years. As they advised me I taken the policy and paid my policy money Rs 60, 000 for first year, for some period I didn't pay my second year premium. I advised by AVIAV that I have to pay at least for three year otherwise the paid money will not be given back. so I paid the premium for three years the total Rs 1, 80, 000 now after completion of three years I asked AVIVA LIFE INSURANCE to withdraw my police. They are telling me that I will get only Rs 92, 000 and they deduct the balance money. Its amazing what for they are deducting 50% of my money after enjoying three years?

If we not continue after paying first year premium they will keep our money, if we pay and ask for surrender the policy they will not give 50% of our money ! They are really Cheating the public.

I disappointed very much I don't know what to do now and how to proceed to get back my money. its really armful for the life and not suitable for common people.

If anybody joint together and do something about the issue pls let me know.

My Aviva fund investment advisor Mr. Amit Mobile Number +91 [protected] associated with me for the last three and a half year. On his advise I invested INR 1, 50, 000.00 in FIRST FAMILY PLAN and I got the policy issued by AVIVA bearing policy number LFG 1649393 which started on 17.08.2007. I was explained by Amit that this is one time investment policy and the locking period would be 3 years from the date of commencement. He lured me of his every possible effort to invest in this scheme. I did not go through the policy documents as he made me cunningly convinced and I developed trust on him. Today after completion of three years when I intended to redeem this policy, I was stunned to learn that the Policy term is 10 years and the locking period is five years which he never disclosed to me and always in replying to my query he kept on saying that this is going to be matured on 17th. Of Aug 2010. Today my fund value is INR 1, 52, 000.00 but due to premature redeem of the policy I will get only INR 1, 36, 000.00 which is unbearable to me at this juncture. Why Amit kept on lying? What was his motive behind not disclosing the facts with in three years. What would be with those people whom I introduced with this man and he might have cheated them also. Aviva did not play fair with me and I am constrained in taking up the matter in court of law. I am cheated, I am aggrieved and hurt. I do not want any thing extra but my principle amount worth Rs.1, 50, 000.00 + saving interest. I would have been getting good interest if invested in LIC or savings. If my principle amount worth Rs.1, 50, 000.00 + saving interest is not refunded to me with in one week then a case will be registered against Amit as well as Aviva. I request people like Amit in Aviva that they should stopped cheating the innocent public from now so that the court may extend leniency for your early acquittal.

Aviva gave wrong maturity value

Phoned Aviva, formally Norwich Union, for a maturity value and was given a figure well in excess of what was owed on my mortgage. Out of the blue after the mortgage ended received a letter from lender stating I had underpaid in excess of £3000 on my mortgage. Phoned aviva and spoke to several people over the phone all of them agreed they had never seen a case in such a mess but despite assurances that they would phone me back to update me on the position they have failed to do so. The lender is now attempting to pursue interest on amount unpaid and have put penalties onto my account. Aviva have happily taken my money for 25 years and when it comes to paying up they mess up big style. Stay clear of this company

Aviva fraud

Aviva sent me a life insurance claim form as my aunt had passed on. Policy 825716n01. Unfortunately, this aunt is through a former marriage with an extremely ugly divorce. Initially, they were just waiting on the death certificate, which my ex-wife was sure to provide as she was also a beneficiary on the policy.
After a couple of months of follow up calls to Aviva to see if they had all that they needed - they then informed me that I was not a beneficiary and that it had been an error.
This comes after months of my ex-wife attempting to remove me from the policy - first telling them I was dead - and then certainly performing some type of insurance fraud to get me removed.
I am contacting the Insurance commissioner today - and will let them investigate the fraudulent behavior further.

Aviva No Customer Service

I have a Life Insurance Policy with Aviva.
My second year premium is due on December 14th'07

Today is 4th December'07.
I had been calling their Customer Service cell for a good number of days and registered for the Check Pick up service, no one called or came.
I called and registered for three times and still no one called or came.
I had to personally go to a branch and give it.
Some guy calls up after 3 weeks and asks whethr we have already dropped it in the Box or do they need to come to pick it up.
When I asked them the reason for taking more than 2 weeks to call, they were rude and said they was no one at home and I never picked up phone both of which are absolute lies.
My whole family as at home all the time.
This is the first and last time I am investing in Aviva and would advise all not to take any of their policies. The Customer Service is despicable and tehy have no manners.
Are any of the Aviva Bosses listening? Please do something about your employees/services.

My, husband Mr. Sandip Chatterjee is a policyholder on Aviva Life Insurance. The premium of the policy is of 3500/- per quarter, i.e.on 11th April, 11th July, 11th October and 11th March. We paid the premium of July in due course. We received a letter from Aviva last week mentioning that his policy has been lapsed, just because we failed to pay the last premium due on 11/7/2007. But the fact was we paid that and the cheque already been cleared and we paid the premium due on October also. I went there and presented the bank statement. Because of there negligence we lose the accountability of our policy. Not only this most of the time they fail to send receipts. The work environment is also very poor. There is nothing called customer service. Their only intention is to sell the policy after that no service.

Aviva are real blood suckers . I have to policies and after 5 years of paying premium, I have not received a penny as interest . When i asked for surrender amount, they are deducting 50% of my money, means if I invested 50, 000 then after 5 years of premium and using my money for 5 years, they are offering me only 25, 000 .This is unlawful and rediculous .I think our government is involved in it . I have lost all my hard earned money with these modern time blood leeches . They are robbers, cheaters. Never ever try this . My friend have same experience .

This Aviva should be thrown out of the country immediately to save the country from the frauds.

LIC is far more better than all Private life insurance companies.

Aviva sucks money in starting your policy, sucks money during first 5 years and even after 10 years it is possible that they might suck Huge money and say No Fund Value because of Bad Market conditions.

So guys wake up and take all your hard earned money out from Aviva coz it is better to take back your money as soon as possible

Aviva Withdrawl Amount

I am having AVIVA Life Insurance, I have selected mainly for tax saving purpose, I have paid 30000 Rs. for 3 years.

Now, I am in need of money, and i went to AVIVA and requested for withdrawl of money... now, frustrating moment starts... i will be getting only 12,000 Rs. out of my 30,000 investment.

AVIVA says that you dont get the amount, what you have invested but you will get only SURRENDERED AMOUNT that is 12000 Rs. against the investment of 30000 Rs. only.

I request everyone to check their SURRENDERED AMOUNT and not the one that you expect as per the AVIVA's NAV.

Have a nice day ahead!

And further more when asked insurance company there revert back by saying its their policy and its not in any wrong. I strongly believe any medical issue being claim they have the rights to ask over the hospital upon signing the PSI. I need an answer when we policy holders having an issue or illness does insurance company directly will come to the affected parties immediately or liase with the hospitals

I am an aviva policy holder. The customer care in Aviva is pathetic. I have asked them 10 times to give my receipt for the policy due in Jan'08. I had made the payment in Jan'08 and till date I have not received my receipt for it. I would advise no one to purchase or invest in any Aviva policy.

Aviva Aviva are CHEATS!

I brought a unit linked life insurance policy from Aviva with a 2 year lockin period before i could redeem it, after 2 years & have paid the premiums when i wanted to redeem my policy, they told me that they would deduct over 40% from the fund value which pushed my principal into negative. i have asked them to explain the nature of these deductions, but they have not replied to any of my 3 requests.

I have encountered the same problem and am absolutely furious with the Aviva and ABN representatives that sold this policy to me. I was told that I could redeem my policy after a lock-in period of 2 years with minimal charges. Now that I want to redeem my policy Aviva will deduct close to 56% of the fund value.

Aviva ECS is not getting activated even after applying 3 times for the same

I have a one year old life long policy from Aviva (the policy LLG1237007). I have applied for ECS three times. But it is not activated yet. Everytime the agent requests to pay the premium by cheque and asks me to fill a form so that ECS can be activated. And again as soon as the premium payment date approaches, he repeats the same process. He blames his manager for ECS not getting activated. I never expected such an irresponsible service from a reputed insurance company.

Aviva Frozen my pension and wont talk

I have been paying in to my Pension fund since I opted to buy-out of my National Health Superannuation contributions from 1975 till 1986.

My Insurance broker payed in my superannuation payout direct to Guardian Royal Pension Fund then in 1993 my Brocker contacted me telling me that Norwich Union had a good deal, but since have been bought out buy Avaia Insurance, so the cheque was once again sent direvct to them, after closing my Guardian Royal account via my Nation Insurance number.

I'm now 62 and I lost all the paper work for my pension, so could not find them so I had to contact National Health Pensions via my National Insurance number.

I have now found my pension via thr above, to which is with Norwich Union and they have now come back after signing for it to be paid in to my account, including the tax free lump sum, after nothing happening and no retuning in answering my constant emails, I then received a strange email saying my case has been sent to Investigations deportment and can they have my phone number, which I gave them to receive an phone call from an Investigator, saying the National Insurance number they have on record is different to the one I submitted plus I could I tell them at the time the address I was at in 1993 and my next of kin, so after the call I emailed this information, but now I can get no answer and so they have frozen my Pension until I Can prove why ithe National Insurance Number they have is different I said I have no idea must be an administration error.

I have now been writing telling them the address I was at the time and the next of kin, things I could not remember at the time of the phone call, but still a deadly silence has now once again come over Norwich Union, and my Pension.

How do I get any sense from them, as they are now referring all my emails to Aviva there Parent Company who are not talking.

What can I do, what would you do?!

Aviva Poor, irresponsible service!

I have settled my payment on first week of January 07 itself, but still getting reminders for not making payment. I have recently got my account statement which still showing only Jan 06 payment for 18,000 not Jan 07 payment, immediately I spoke to their customer service rep and they agreed the receipt of two cheque and the same has been missed to update my account. The impact of not making payment promptly and also I will lose my credibility and there may also be some financial loss as well. I have got the acknowledgment from my agent (bajaj capital) after I submit cheque for 18,000. I have never expect such an irresponsible service from a reputed insurance company.

It was plain and simple designed fraud. No point is pointing towards the bankers. So called bancassurer was used because all the frauds and cheats were discredited. So you put a different wrapper. And now even banks face the same fate so you have a finance minister trying to sell insuarnce policies. One simple jaid to the kalyugi day Rama would have saved so many lives. Cheating took away years out of simple people's life so he must be made to pay. There never was anything called 3 years. The fund value shown in illustration was fraud so that a simple agent can be told to teach the customer he will get at least fund value after 3 years. The money never existed dude. Everything this company says and do is laden with lies. He goes back and get a doctor to opine for him to charge more. When you ask for medical reports - he says he does not have it when he was eating on someones blood for so many years. He sends out threats when you ask simple questions. He drives you crazy with his designed loss of common sense. FILTHY and DIRTY..

AVIVA is the worst Insurance company I have ever seen and heard in my life.
I started a Policy with you “LBD2105082”, which commenced on 31-07-2008, and this was a 3 year policy with a term of 10 years. Rs. 6250 per quarter, that is Rs. 25, 000/- per year. So the premium submission ended last year, and now that I want to withdraw the amount, AVIVA is harassing me !
I sent my representative three times to 3 branches, Brabourn Road Branch, Salt lake Branch and Park Street Branch and all of them refused to help and send the guy back asking for the bank statement of 2011, but as per Insurance and RBI Law it is not at all necessary, as I have the cancelled cheque of the bank, and my name and account number is printed on the cheque. So this is only sheer harassment.
Even I talked to their customer care department, and they told there should not be any problem withdrawing the amount. But the guys in those branches of does not seem to be co-operative at all.
I must say, AVIVA already lost its faith in the market with the worst service they are giving to their customers, and this kind of behavior and attitude only make it worse. If customers like me, find out that they only give importance and attention only when to make a guy start a new policy, and then afterwards just ignore them, then I don’t think this will send a very good impression to the general public about AVIVA. And I also think, they should never hope a customer reference after all these harassments.
Customers only withdraw an amount when it is needed very much, and if they harass us at that time, then I must say, AVIVA is going to get a very bad customer feedback from now on, and everybody will fear to invest thru AVIVA, or start any policy from AVIVA. And I think they should understand, that, this is the end of their business.

Hi All,
I've first time applied for a product from Aviva, the online term policy i.e. Aviva-i-life. I've paid a premium almost a month back thru internet banking. Still there is no update or committment from them as when actually the Insurance formalities will be completed. I just wating and wating.

I'll advise if you are going for online term policies, pls try some other insurance company. I've blocked my substantial sum with no assurance as when I'll get the policy or refund.

Aviva life insurance is BIG FRAUD! I have invested a total of 1, 20, 000.00 Rupees since November 2005 in ULIP growth Fund and at the time they sold the investment plan to me they never mentioned the surrender charges that will be applicable till 30 years. Now after deducting the surrender charges they are paying me 79, 500.00 rupees. I was shocked after hearing about the deduction. Aviva cheats its customers. Please spread the word everywhere possible, so that other people do not suffer the way we did.

Thanks

My mother's insurance agents name is Tom Bilotti.

She recently surrendered her policy, and it is crazy that the amount of money the surrrender fee is over half of what she should get back!

I recently have been informed about how insurance companies only want you DEAD! And want the total of how much value YOU are in our capitalistic society.

Companies like these all want profit. The more you pay, the more money you lose out of pocket, and making them richer and richer everyday!

RIDICULOUS!
