Defective Shoes
A pair of Avia sneakers I bought from Famous Footwear came apart at the toe 6 months after I bought them. They were nowhere near their service life. I asked the salespeople at the store what their policy was as the manufacturing was obviously defective. They weren't helpful at all. I used to shop at Famous Footwear all the time. I guess I'm better off buying at Walmart. At least they back your purchases.
3 - 6 mos is what you get out of a shoes that is worn a lot or for exercise..6 mos is way beyond the life of a shoe if you are running or doing high impact exercise..weight plays a factor also. Even if it looks okay all the benefits of the shoe have broken down.
