I purchased a trial period of 7 days for a company called Media Crawler. At the time of signup I clicked on a box that said "disable auto-renewal".
They charged me $69.95 for the full service anyway. Now they are insisting that there is no checkbox to disable auto-renewal and will not refund my money.
I have spoken to 3 different people. They refuse to let me speak to a supervisor.
The only thing they say they will do it email "media crawler" to tell them that I want a refund. This was done once already 4 days ago on 2/11/12.
I want me $69.95 back. I am disabled and on a fixed income. This is ridiculous.

I have been asking you to CANCEL my membership and stop charging me for a week and still you charge me!
Please, STOP and cancel my membership and get me a refund!

Dear Vinh Phat,
This 2nd charge has been taken according to TOS you have read and
accepted to proceed with signup. TOS state that each trial is to be
extended to the Full Version with a relevant charge taken, unless
trial is cancelled within 7 days period. Thus if you didn't like the
service, you were to cancel it in due time. The trial cancellation
option and amount of the charge coming are also given in TOS. Please
be reminded that this is a onetime payment and no further charges
should occur since.

We find it at least regrettable that you're comparing this business with theft, especially since your trial payment on the www.media-crawler.com website was made by acknowledging the website's terms and conditions found here: http://www.media-crawler.com/en/tos.html We're hoping the information found at the aforementioned address will refresh your memory and clarify the circumstances in which the second payment was processed. Moreover, in regards to the claims that "All e-mail for support service of canceling subscriptions returned. I have disabled auto renewal but they charged it anyway" we're interested in receiving copies of the returned email messages along with the error logs corresponding to the returned correspondence. Please also describe how you exactly you canceled the subscription before it was actually processed so we can investigate the issue, apparently you're describing a malfunction of our platform.

Hi,
I was informed 440.72 CNY has been charged automatically by avangate media crawler .
I remember clearly only trial version is selected when I pay for media crawler, while I have no impression whether
there is any option for auto renewed.
I also find that Product was renewed automatically By Avangate !!!!
Anyway, I WON'T pay extra money for the full version.
Please kindly check my order [protected], and refund me !!!
Also, I have contact with the bank for it.
I really need my money back!

The same thing happened to me, but it was absurd to me in desperation I ended up signing the package only $ 1.99 to download a file that was only found there, the file was not accessible and was the only time I used this application, this media Crawler, the package 7 days inspired and now has just come to my card account in the amount of U.S. $ 69.00 NEVER DO THAT! And to make everything worse than it already is not the site has a link where I can undo my signature! Can someone please solve my problem?

Hi. media-crawler have made an unauthorised charge from my account too. I have bought trial account for 7 days on 02/04/2012, but after expire, they charged me $67.23 from my account . All e-mail for support service of canceling subscriptions returned. I have disabled auto renewal but they charged it anyway. My "order number" is [protected]. All this is very similar to theft. I need this money back.

I was informed 440.35 CNY has been charged automatically by avangate media crawler just like others.
I remember clearly only trial version is selected when I pay for media crawler, while I have no impression whether
there is any option for auto renewed.
Anyway, I WON'T pay extra money for the full version.
For more details, pls see the attached screenshot which show the renew option is disabled.

i just canceled auto renewal for media-crawler trial and got the confirmation email that it was successfully canceled. would u please make sure they didn't charge for renewal..thank you very much..order no is [protected]

Hi. media-crawler have made an unauthorised charge from my account too. I have bought trial account on 2012-03-26 but after expire, they charged me ¥69.95 from my account . All e-mail for support service of canceling subscriptions returned. I have disabled auto renewal but they do not refund my money yet. I send email to them but no replying. My order number is #[protected]. I hope my money can be back as soon as possible.

The same thing goes for myself, Media-Crawler was not authorized to charge $69.95 to my debit card account. I only insisted on paying for the $1.99 7-day trial period fee. I would like a refund as soon as possible, because now my account has a negative balance, and it is not my fault. Below I have attached a few pictures from my account on Avangate. Please respond to this as soon as possible - I do not want to pay for something I did not purchase in the first place. My auto renewal is disabled.

media-crawler have made an unauthorised charge from my account too. I have bought trial account on [protected]:43:10 but after expire, they charged me 61, 91 € from my mother's bank account. Please let us know what your order reference number is and we will take a look at the situation. According to the contract we have with Media Crawler, we are allowed to process refunds on the spot if the customer has a well established reason. Otherwise, the refund must be subject to Media Crawler's approval.

Similar is my case also and the thing is that media crawler and avangate are refusing to pay the refund. This is a clear case of cheating.
