AutoNation customer service, staff, management

I went to buy a ca 2/23/2019 at auto nation kendall. I first asked for the sales man I have always bought my cars from but he "was not there" so carlos sales associate took care of me. We walked around looked at a 2 nissan rouge once I made my decision carlos and the manager stated I should take another rouge that have been there one a few days without test driving the car I was convinced by them that this would be the best deal for me. It was a used 2016, carlos had stated that the car would come with 7 years warranty but failed to mention that the warranty was from the date the car was originally purchased. I was mislead by the sales associate. Once I bought the car I left around 8:33 at 9:01 pm I texted carlos and mention the car was shaking a lot and making a weird noise. As a used car I was informed I had 5 days to return it or exchange it. He stated I should take the car back which I did. After 3 days they called and said the car was ready when I got there the car was not ready so they kept the car for another week almost, I was given a rental car meanwhile. I sent a tex message to carlos stating to cancel the contract that I no longer wanted the car and he said it as past the 5 days. When the car was "ready" I drove it and it was still in bad condition the general manager drove it and thought it was the tires and said he would change two of the tires, at this point I was still without my new car. When I went back once again the car was worse than the first time. The managers solution was to re-run my credit buy the car that I used for 30 minutes from me and sale me a new car, of courser they screw me over and they gain more sales. I was so frustrated of wasting so much time that I decided to go through with it at this point I bought a brand new 2019 nissan rouge, while test driving with the store manager he realized that the rear driver tire was low, he drove it in to service with me and my friend inside the car and had the service tech put air in the tire. I took the new car the next day as I was driving I almost killed myself because the tire blew up! I called road side assistance because they told me it came with the car. When I called road side assistance they stated that they could not find my vin and that they could not help me. Before all this I had called the manager prior to speak with him he never answered when I showed up at the store one of his staff members sated that the manager was "eating [censored]". This is aside from all the other unprofessional comments my friend and I received from another sales associate who spoke very poorly of the company. They finally sent a car in a regular van to put my spare tired he showed up more than 45 min after my call. When I took the brand new 2019 car back to the dealer to get the tired fixed they did not have the tire in stock. Once again I need it a rental car they lady at the rental stated that I already had a rental under my name, that rental she was speaking about I had returned more than 4 days prior so in the system my name was still legally attached to a rental that they had already given to someone else. I can keep this email on and on with the horrific experience I have had with auto nation nissan and as someone who work for a large organization I would never in my life recommend any one to auto nation and I will make sure to post reviews anywhere I can to save people from having the nightmare I have had for almost a month now. I tried to call corporate office I still haven't received any calls. Stephanie denooyer [protected]

AutoNation 2013 camry xle

AutoNationDodgeJeepFiat in North Phoenix, stay away! Far, far away! They are liars, cheats, sold us a damaged car. They did not inspect the car, the car has major damage to the trunk that they did not disclose, when you can see primer paint on trunk and gaping between rear quarter panel, and trunk lid. All four brake rotors warped. They will not fix them. Customer service is terrible, don't try to call, they will not pick up. The general manager won't pick up his phone.
It's been 7 weeks they have not title has not been change. We are still waiting on our payment book. We purchased the car on 12-31-18, our temporary plate expired 2-14-19.
By law we cannot drive the car.
Frauds in spades.

AutoNation Service department

I purchased a used car form the Autonation in Pembroke Pines in October. The experience was good until my son went to get an oil change and tires rotated at Jiffy lube and was unable to get tires rotated because his wheels are locked. We searched in the car for the key but we were not provided that key. I contacted the sales representative who sold the car to us and he directed me to the service department for them to order the key. This was in early part of December 2018. I have called and left messages and no one has returned my call. This particular Autonation is about 30 to 40 minutes away from where we live so its not that convenient to just show up. I would appreciate it if someone can give me a call so I can get the key ordered. Since we were not provided the key the key should not be an expense of mine.

Thank You

AutoNation misled/ mistreated

Dear Mr Johnson,

My husband and I are old-returning and loyal AutoNation customers, at your dealership for the last 10 years. The last purchase we made was our fourth (4th) of the Honda-produced vehicles.

You sent us a letter congratulating and thanking us for our last Honda purchase. You extended your interest in our satisfaction and happiness with regards to the car.

We do have some cosmetic and ‘fit' issues with the vehicle we just bought, however, there is a more important concern we wish to talk to you about.

We felt we were mistreated by unfair terms that were inserted into the contract and not explained, and that if we can not obtain a satisfactory  resolution, we will make sure that the AutoNation/Honda company is informed that we are a repeat Honda buyer who are now very dissatisfied with the way we were treated by certain people at your dealership.

We hope you can make time for us. We have made ‪this Saturday, January 26, 2019‬, free ‪from 9AM to 5PM‬, to be available, for your free time to meet with us, since we both work during the week.

Sincerely,

AutoNation vehicle purchased

We recently purchased a 2007 Nissan Murano from the AutoNation located at 2999 W 104th Avenue Westminster CO 80234. I also purchased the extended warranty. We have now owned the car for 7 months and have had to take the car in 7 times. Each time the service department refuses to solve the problem. We continue to have issues and the car is once again at the shop. Another huge issue is that we should be provided with a loaner vehicle which is not always provided. At this point we are beyond frustrated and want to know what our options are.

Thanks

AutoNation new demo I purchased

I went into the Land Rover facility in Encino Ca with intentions to buy a ‘brand new' 2017 Range Rover Autobiography. The car was sitting on the floor. We agreed on a price and went into finance, my wife was very excited. While in finance I went over to the vehicle and opened the door and the odometer illuminated 10, 200ish miles. I went to the salesman and said this isn't the right car. As I showed him the add on car gurus and the mileage shows 13 miles, in which I have pics of. The salesman Dave Petty comes back from the sales manager and says oops, we need to correct that on line. I'm pretyy easy going as long as my wife is happy. The sales manager assured me it was a NEW vehicle and had never been registered(rs'd). So I said what the heck, it's a new car(demo). In which I said ok since I don't buy used cars and the in service date for warranty was in November 2018. A little flustered about the mileage, but what the heck the wife is happy. We went out to take delivery of the car and I asked if it was serviced already, they said yes. As I watched the salesman check the oil and the lot attendant reset the oil life monitor, I knew this was not true. So Dave Petty says I'll give you a free oil change on a due bill. I said that was fine, but why do t you just send me the filters and I'll do at my own shop, he agreed. The oil filters came but a month later after I changed the oil myself. I was like, ‘this is almost the last straw'. Well 3 weeks I receive a letter from Land Rover stating this was a USED car and the dealership made a mistake by checking the NEW box. Well once again I do not buy used cars. Well that was the last straw. I immediately contacted the GM Chance Corbin bus VM. Left several messages, he did return my call and left a Vm. I tried back and he since went on vacation. So I left another message. No call back. I confirmed he was back from vacation and after 2 messages he never returned my calls. I've worked for dealerships for 20 plus years and I understand that one person shouldn't be able to ruin a dealerships name. I normally would hand over to my lawyer but I thought I'd speak to corporate before doing so. This could be an easy fix IF I can get a call back.

AutoNation Service department in pembroke pines autonation

I took my Buick Enclave to this dealer for one simple issue. Then I get told that my car has some other issue pay get it fix. Then not even 2 days later my car starts acting up I take it back oh we left a motor mount lose. No then 3 days later am back something else this has been a train of ongoing issues with a car that has never had anything wrong with. Then what I take it back for they never seem to find but instead find other issues that I have to pay for. I've been complaining of a gas smell since they did some work in my car, they never seem to find it so now I took pictures and will take back. I am driving this car with my two small kids God forbid something happens this will be Autonation fault. I am tried of taking my car here but the warranty stated that if they touched it and damaged it I must take back. The advisor has been great and patience but the mechanics have no clue how to work in a car. I will be taking this father up to who ever I have to. But my car has to be brought back to how it was with no issues like the first time I took, which was for a minor thing that they haven't fixed

AutoNation refunds

Purchased a new vehicle with additional protection plans. Those plans were cancelled within proper amount of time to warrant full refund
Purchased a 2018 F150 Platinum on 4 August 2018. The selling store Finance Representative was named Berky Bendeck. Final total for the vehicle was 49816.93 with an additional 5795.00 in additional protection plans, extended warranty, and tire wheel, dent protection. The amount financed was 55611.93. The Auto loan was financed through Ford Credit. Upon review of the paperwork for the additional plans I decided to cancel the vehicle protection plan (3394.00), dent protection (499.00), and tire and wheel protection (589.00) totaling 4482.00. According to the paperwork in order to receive a full refund on those plans you needed to talk to the Seller-Creditor to cancel those plans. We called Mr. Bendeck and Autonation Ford to cancel those plans on the 20th, 27th, and 30th of August 2018. Each time he acknowledged the request and claims he filled out the paperwork for us to get the full refund. The amount should have been refunded to the 55611.93 for the auto loan but was not and it was not refunded to me either. After not hearing back about the refund or the cancellation of the products we drove to the Autonation ford to meet with Mr. Bendeck and the General Manager (Mr. Richard Harrison) at Autonation Ford to solve the issue around 7 September 2018. There the finance department said the money will be deducted from the loan when we refinanced the auto loan with Navy Federal after the 3 monthly payments that they claimed Ford required me to make which was also false. So instead of deducted the money from the overall loan and lowering my payments they did not refund the money and had me make additional payments at the higher total. After that meeting we called the Autonation Ford Finance department in October and November for an update to the refund but were left with the same response. We talked to Mr. Michael Collum who was the Customer Financial Services manager when we drove to Autonation Ford at the end of November. We told him we were refinancing and had the payoff check we just needed to know what was going to happen with the amount we were to be refunded. He claimed he would talk to Mr. Bendeck and have the amount deducted so we should not have to worry about an additional check after. We refinanced our auto loan through Navy Federal on or around 12 December 2018and the total amount did not have the refunded total deducted. After talking to the finance department again we were told that after the payoff confirmation was complete we would receive the refunded amount via check from the dealership. We did not receive anything and contacted autonation ford on the 20th and 28th of December to receive any information and were told that Mr. Bendeck no longer worked there and neither did Mr. Collum.

Today make a week I spoke with the service manager josh and i have not heard back from him. I have not resolved anything with the service dept.
This is very poor service and communication.

AutoNation customer service / service department

I recently (November 27th) attempted to have a recall issue resolved at this location. I've had work done at this location in the past and the first time went pretty well. The last two times have shown a severe decline in customer service. First of all, for some reason they have my F-150 listed under my wife's name. I've asked them many times to change it to my name and each time I'm told they would. When I received this last recall notice and attempted to schedule an appointment it was difficult due to that reason. I even gave them the VIN and they still was unable to locate the truck in their system, even though they sent me a letter with the VIN on it. Eventually I was able to schedule an appointment for November 27 at 8:30 a.m. and even received at least 3 e-mail noticed confirming this appointment. I arrive on that morning at approximately 8:00 a.m. and get checked in and was told that it would be an easy repair and wouldn't take long. I decide to wait for it. After several minutes in the lounge area I'm told that there was an apparent mix-up with the scheduling department and that it would be later that afternoon before they could get to it. I ask if they could get me a rental for the day and was told that would not be a problem. I was then taken to Enterprise rental and was told that initially AutoNation was going to pay for it but they called back and said that rental was my responsibility. I go back to the dealership and ask what the problem was and was told that the repair does not warrant a rental. If the last two recall issues warranted a rental then why didn't this one? Am I really expected to sit there for 6-8 hours? I was also told that the warranty had expired or they would be able to use that. I told them that I purchased an extended warranty and was then told that they could not find it. I had a copy of it in the truck and was about to show it to them. However, if they didn't want to do the warranty/recall work then I'll go somewhere else. I understand that the auto repair industry businesses don't like doing warranty work because it ties up manpower and bays and does not bring in any money. This reeks of a tactic to chase away warranty/recall repairs in order to dedicate time to work that brings in profit. Hopefully, I'll be able to locate a dealership that can complete this repair. Unfortunately, I'll also have to take another day off work to do it.

AutoNation sales

My name is Anthony Palmieri. My telephone number is . I was interested in a 2010 Ford Focus, whicjh I saw on sale at your Chrysler Jeep Ram dealership in Littleton Colorado, from Car Gurus.
I inquired about the vehicle and got an email response from a guy name Revere, who asked me if I wanted to take it for a test drive this week- which was good, but it went down from here!
I called the next day and reached the receptionist at the dealership in Littleton, who could hardly speak because of a cold. She said she was transferring me over to Revere, but dropped the call. Later, I sent a reply email to Revere to tell him that the call had been dropped and to contact me himself. Instead, Mallory, a sales manager sent me an email apologizing. In her email she said that she would be happy to help me. This is when it gets bad..
I left a voice message with Mallory, which she never returned. I then called her directly and she answered. Mallory said she forgot about sending me the email and really had a hard time establishing a good phone relationship. I remember everytime I asked her a question about the vehicle I wanted to buy, she seemed nervous and in a rush. Worst thing bout our conversation was that she couldn't answer even the simplest question about the Ford Focus hybrid. Finally, Mallory brushed me aside and said she would get the answers and call me back. She never did, but I did get a text from a guy named Tyler? He said he probably didn't know either! Boy I am pissed!

AutoNation gap insurance

DO NOT purchase Autonation gap insurance!
When I purchased my vehicle (2010 Lincoln MKT), I purchsed the Autonation gap (Safe-Guard) insurance for $599 because I was told it would cover any amount not paid by my primary insurance. That was a lie. When my vehicle was totaled in an accident, my primary insurance (Progressive) paid the value of my vehicle leaving a balance of $634. Autonation (Safe-Guard) paid $290 stating 'it was because Progressive estimated the the vehicle $700 less then it's value'. WTF! Remember, I paid $599 for gap. So, not only did gap not pay the balance of $634 (just think if it would have been more), they didn't even notify me that I still had a remaining balance. All their website told me was that claim had been completed. It wasn't until the bank contacted me, after my account was 30 days past due (which now shows on my credit report), that I found out Autonation (Safe-Guard) gap insurance did not pay in full. DO NOT Purchase through this company. Your bank/lien holder will also offer gap insurance.

I'm in the process of having Auto Nation service my policy as my car was totalled in March of 2019. As I read all of the nightmare stories about all of the sleezy business practices of Auto Nation, it looks like a check list of a thousand ways that the insurance companies have been pulling on me. They are stalling and waiting until the 90 day period is up . Then they dont have to pay me a dime and I will be out over 6k. And I will have to keep making payments on a car that is long gone for the next several years.

AutoNation piston rings in 2014

I think it's ridiculous that you be cold all the way up to 2013 Honda Odyssey‘s for the piston rings this is an expensive recall gosh you all the way up to $3800 and my 2014 is having the same problem we called all the other on this floor and sitting there saying on the 14th don't have a problem yes the 14th does have a [censored]ing problem and have been so you know what I could care less if you were off warranty I could care less how many miles you have on your car the 2014 Honda should be taken care of and I think it's ridiculous that you just telling customers your problem and saying oh well you got to go pay three grand for your 2014 I will never buy another Honda again and if I have to take this all the way to court I will !

AutoNation dealer sold a lemon/lied about carfax

I bought a car from AutoNation in [protected]. it is a 2010 Audi Q5 prestige, it is supposed to be the top-of-the-line vehicle. The finance officer assistant that I get the warranty for this vehicle, it was expensive to repair. I now know why he kept pushing warranty. This vehicle has been a nightmare. The Carfax stated that it had been in a minor accident. The vehicle has been in the shop more than six times in the last 2 years. They have replaced ball joints, U-joints, tire rods, gas filter sensors, front wheel bearings, brakes and rotors, suspension bar, they now say I need shocks and structs, and I had to purchase 4 new tires because of the bent frame. I just dropped the vehicle off this afternoon again for service. I did some research on the vehicle only to find out that It had been in a major accident it had been rear-ended from the back and hit in the front the vehicle was towed from the site and was deemed non-drivable. The Carfax that was given to me again stated it had been in a minor Collision. It rains in the front of the vehicle on the passenger side, the rain has caused the shade to droop and we had to remove it, the sunshade is now under recall but the car is not one that is listed for the service. The air condition heater blowing fan has gone out the navigation system and the electrical components are not working, the rear backup camera and all the other accessories along with the media and Bluetooth do not work or stop at random. The vehicle apparently has been so damaged that when the rain came down inside the vehicle it expanded and the windshield at the top seal and it cracked. Even though I purchased the extended warranty it has cost me a fortune for the repairs on this vehicle I believe AutoNation knew that this vehicle should have been salvaged and they did minor repairs just enough to catch a fool like me who came by and bought it. I am stuck for the next two and a half years almost $600 a month for a luxury vehicle that is a piece of junk. I am going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I have contacted Audi Nation and they suggested that I contact the dealership. Well with my luck that dealership is no longer open. The vehicle does not qualify for the Lemon Law in Texas because I have had it for more than 24 months and have driven more than 24000 miles. I recommend no one buy a vehicle from Auto Nation without doing your homework. they will give you a Carfax the does not state the correct information, and I am wondering if that is against the law. Since the car had to be towed from the accident scene because of the extensive damage I wonder if the insurance company wrote it off as a total loss. I don't know how to go about searching for it. I found the information about the accident on the highway department website, just go in and enter the VIN number and it will pull up the accident and the damage. The Sales manager Audi Dallas, suggest that I get an attorney to fight this issue. That would be a great idea but I am disabled on a fixed income I cannot afford a high-priced attorney. If anyone out there knows a way that I can get out of this contract please contact me.

I have just been informed by Audi Dealership the AC/Heater and blower motor needs to be replaced. This part is not covered under the high price warranty I have paid for. The total cost to fix all is going to be about 5000.00+ dollars. I have contacted Autonation several times with no response. They are A rated with the BBB. For a company with an A rating, why will you not respond to your customers? Now I will have to go thru the winter months without a heater and summer without AC in a luxury vehicle.

AutoNation service department

On 10/26 I picked up the vehicle from the service department. The same vehicle that according the the mechanic has no issues. Within miles of leaving the dealership. The clutch started slipping and making squealing sounds. On 10/16 the car was dropped off with 53, 842 miles running perfectly fine beside the ac not blowing cold and a minor oil leak. On 10/24 I was notified the car was complete and I came to pick up the vehicle. Upon picking it up I noticed the car had 53, 853 miles on it. As I was leaving the dealership. Right away I noticed issues with the cars rpms spiking when in gear. The car was left on e with 8 miles till Empty, so I drove to the gas station and right back to the dealer. I asked to speak to the mechanic and was turned away saying to run the car more that is what the smell is. The next day I returned with the car due to the issue as well as the coolant that was all over the engine bay,  I explained the issue they took the car in to be checked. Today 10/26 I was notified the car was complete and had no issues, just to find out otherwise upon pickup. The dealership in the service director Shansi have been absolutely no help and are trying to push the blame upon me. The issue is plain and simple the car came in working fine and left with clutch issues and 11 additional miles that they cannot explain. There is no documentation by them that the car came with this issue.

AutoNation range rover purchased in mt. kisco, ny

In August 2015 I purchased a Range Rover for my daughter. We are beyond dissatisfied with the car and more so with the treatment from the dealership and Land Rover Manufacturer. The car has not worked correctly since purchase and has been in the shop over 7 x's for the same issue. They laugh at me and hide when I appear to discuss some kind of compensation or exchange. My daughter drove the car and it is dangerous. Randy Irwin, the Manager in MT Kisco Land Rover keeps telling us the car is fixed however it breaks down, heaves and all the electrical would go fire off but they continue to give it back broken then apologizes and tells us he will call someone else who can perhaps fix it. How can a company, owned by a public company, AutoNation, treat clients this way with no regard for safety or fairness. My daughter is 19 years old so she is not legal to drive the loaner. We spent all that we had after saving for years for this special gift. I have been pushed around from auto nations customer service and the management from auto nation refuses to get on the phone. Perhaps CNBC should interview some of the customers. If anyone can possibly help it would be nothing short of a miracle. And please, telling us that we can trade in the car without any subsidy.. or financial contribution would not be helpful. We are only asking for a fair deal although after the hell we have been put through we deserve a brand new vehicle and then some. Brigid at Land Rover Corp in NJ told me that the car now has 50, 006 miles on it and as a result will not honor the warranty or a trade in. I told her in has been in the dealership over 7xs for the same item begining from three months after I purchased it and the dealership has driven the car more than we have. She laughed and said they will not honor anything. PLEASE HELP ANYONE. MY VIN# is # SALWR2TF5FA542072.

AutoNation refunds

I purchased my new RAM on February 14th, 2018. Autonation did not pay off my previous loan until 2 months later. That resulted in 60 days past due on my credit. I have been attempting to repair my credit rating every since then.

I sent the "Payoff Letter" to Autonation to receive a refund for my warranty and GAP insurance on July 8th, 2018. 5 days later, Autonation incorrectly sent my refunds to Regions Bank. Regions Bank did not cash those refunds and instructed Autonation to stop pay and re-issue those checks to me, as there was no lien.

I inquired about this for months and finally went to the dealership to seek management for an answer on September 13th, 2018. I was told that the request to re-issue those checks to me were completed on that day. It has been 46 days and the manager, says that he doesn't have an answer and forwarded the request to corporate.

Lastly, because of the length of time it took Autonation to payoff my previous loan, other lines of credit have been affected. I the manager to provide me with the name or department I need to request a refund on the 2 accessories I purchased in my new loan and have not received. A lift kit & a set of tires. He has failed to provide any information about that.

The total amount of the warranty refunds and accessories that I no longer want is over $5k. I'm asking for the money that I have paid and Autonation is holding. This has been going on for 8 months and I have run out of patience. The lack of ability for Autonation Dodge - North Richland Hills to provide any level of customer service is beyond belief.

I should known that after I bought my Mini Cooper at Lexus of Tampa aka Autonation when they handed me the keys, the car wouldn't start, I should have given them back the keys. They say they perform these tests and they didn't even check the battery? That was just the start (forgive the pun). The list goes on and on, here's the best one...It has a blown engine, yes white smoke coming out of the back of the car, sales said not to worry it's just an additive and will stop soon as it burns off. Needless to say I lost confadence in Lexus of Tampa. I took it to another Autonation dealership. For the last seven days they have been at it, now they are going to have to break down the engine perhaps to the pistons and rings. This is why I say: RUN FAST don't walk past this dealership they are the "Poster Boys" for sleazy used car sales.

AutoNation closing autonation mitsubishi in spokane wa

I can't believe the hungry greedy corporate office that closed auto nation mitsubishi in Spokane WA. I spent $30K for a car that I was told that if I need to get my car fixed, I would have to travel 500 miles. Other Mitsubishi owners will have to as well. Yes, we can get oil changes and light maintenance, but anything else we have to travel. There are no other Mitsubishi dealers East of Kennewick or in Western Idaho. So much for customer loyalty. Maybe auto nation would pay me to tow my car that far. Maybe pay me for the time off from work to do this.

I will no longer be associated with auto nation. As soon as I find a vehicle, it will not be with any auto nation dealer. I will make sure to tell every Mitsubishi owner the same.

AutoNation 2012 ford fusion

I recently purchased a car from auto nation with the A/C not blowin cool air and it came with limits such as I'm not able to drive over 80mph and my radio was set to not be turned up all the way When I told my sale man he told me that I would have to pay for it out my pocket because I drove off the lot already, but let me remind you that the day I purchase the car they notice my right head light was out and they said they would fix it so they put me in a loner car for 6 days. So I never seen my car or got in to see what's all wrong. When my car was ready to pick up I went to pick it up and found all the problems no later then 15 min of driving I called my sales man and told him everything I notice that's wrong. He denyed everything and told me I had to come out of pocket for everything that's wrong because I drove off the lot already I didn't think that was fair because I told him soon as I drove off he didn't let me speak to a manager or anything he told me there's nothing he can do he just sold me the car. I talked to the used car manager there they we're denying everything thing again so I reached out to Autonation headquarters for help. I felt that the situation was not handled professionally and there was some under the table thing going on because when I went to up Autonation to complain and ask to speak to manager no one wanted to speak kept telling me they couldn't help me and left me sitting there for hours without anyone addressing me. Please contact me back I need help with the situation at [protected]
