This is a scam called “AuroIN”. The scam invents stuff about you with fake pictures and contracts with your “signature” (fake signature!) then it asks for your money or it will publish all the fake pictures and contracts.
A guy with the name “Annada” (maybe it is fake I don’t know) from AuroIN sent me many emails and said he guarantees my website can be on the first page on Google and Bing and Yahoo. I guess he got my information from Whois because later he copied it to the fake contracts he threatened me with.
Annada told me I will get a free test drive for a week but then he started to ask me for $2, 999 to remove all the negative reviews about my website. I told him I have no complaints or nothing about my services but then he sent me links to many fake reviews.
He told me that if I won’t pay then more complaints will appear and also he will publish the fake pictures and fake contracts that I have with crooked companies that will embarrass me. (obviously I didn’t sign any contract with any company from the “adult films industry” and it was fake)
I did a google search and found that AuroIN is extorting many people this way.
I negotiated with Annada and finally I paid him $1, 999.
How is it possible that in 2015 there are scams like “AuroIN” ?
They have brought a personal point of view and a personal touch to each project that they're doing. That allows them to capture the nature and essence of the property and convey that to people who aren't necessarily familiar with the properties. That's what marketing's all about.

Internet Fraud -- blackmail
I still can’t believe it but I was being blackmailed by a fraud called auroin which was supposed to promote my blog but then asked me for money or this fraud would publish “defamatory” (their word) content about me and my blog. They even sent me documents which I supposedly signed and email chats that we never had as threats! This fraud said all those “defamatory” documents and emails would be read by many people because they can publish them on thousands of websites and forums on the internet. I didn’t believe them and ignored them but then they started to publish these fake documents and emails on the internet and my lawyer said that because they are in India it would cost me much more money to sue them without any assurance that I could ever win so what could I have done besides paying? They forged my signature and fabricated email chats and spread false rumours that I’m the one who is a liar and a cheater and that my blog is just full of about others although none of it is true! So after I begged and begged and begged them to stop I just paid them 2000 dollars to leave me alone. There are so many others who are being blackmailed by this fraud and lots and lots of people write about it online so why no one is stopping this fraud now is beyond me. If you are approached by auroin from India don’t do the same mistake I did because they will blackmail you to your last cent with fake documents and fake email chats and fake everything until you will pay them.

Scam And Extortion by Fake Reviews
I was scammed by a fake company called AuroIN and now they extort me for more money !
This is the story : I have a website for my shop and I was searching for Google experts to improve my position in the results, , , I got an email from a guy of AuroIN saying that their top executive ( Annada Padhy ) works with Google so he’d know how to take my website to the first page of Google.
I made a contract with them for a month but after a week or so I found many negative reviews on many websites about my shop although the people were NEVER THERE ! Then AuroIN emailed me saying they can fix all my problems if I’d pay them additional $3, 500 for their “special services” ! I didn’t pay them and then many more bad reviews about my shop were on Google, and then AuroIN contacted me again saying they’d give me a discount and it’d only cost me $3, 000 ! Only then I googled them and discovered that they already blackmailed other people using the same extortion tactics !
My shop is bleeding now and I don’t want to pay them but they keep posting bad reviews, , , , I will lose my shop because of these scammers !
They have excellent team members who work for them, and any challenges we’ve had with them were due to losing good people. I've been happy with their performance overall.

This is a complaint about a scam that disguises as a “marketing company” called Auroin. At the beginning someone from Auroin contacted me and said that they have this big SEO expert Annada Padhy who can boost my online business ranking. The agent said that they will give me the first month for free but after they got all my personal and business information, all sorts of complaints about my business started to show up on Google! Auroin said that they could delete all those complaints from the internet if I’d make a long-term deal with them but I knew they were responsible for it so I refused. Then they started to attack me personally on several review sites and even made up documents and email conversations with them in which I was the one who allegedly threatens them! I didn’t know what to do because I have a family to provide for so I eventually paid them nearly $6, 500! I know that these criminals will come back for more one day and I don’t know what will I do! Please beware of this “marketing agency” Auroin because it is just an elaborate fraud, and I sure hope someone will put these animals behind bars.

In another email he said:
“because what I do is very very dangerous (jail!), my costs are $5, 000 per article via paypal.”
Auro team refused to comply with Mr. Shabat's unethical demands. As a result, the Company was threatened, and negative reviews were posted on different websites with an aim to dampen business prospects. So far, we have received 100+ threatening emails.
We complained to ICANN, Godaddy service provider and many others and now the primary site www.glancingweb.com become dead. But the scammer came with many other sites and promoted his content in hundred of sites such as complaintsboard.com [redacted]s.com, seoinorlando.com etc.
In the month of August 2015, he wrote in one of his emails

At first, they told me that they are “the best SEO company in the world” and that “all the big brands are working with them.” I should have known that it was just a trick to lure me in. Right after I paid them for three months in advance, suddenly, many negative reviews about my business began to appear online. Auroin told me that they can make this reviews “disappear” if I will just pay them more money. It was obvious that they were responsible for this. I refused to pay them at first, but then more negative reviews were magically appearing, so I had no choice and I paid them for an entire year of service. I knew they were blackmailing me but I just had no choice !
Auroin and Annada Padhy are frauds ! They are based in India so someone with limited resources can’t really do anything !

On its About page, the company states it employs 700 people while only less than 200 actually do work for the company, that it was founded in 2000 while it was in fact founded three years later in 2003 and that its satisfied client/testimonial numbers are completely bogus.
In addition, AuroIN declares that it “has facilities in 1100 major cities across the world” and that its team “is always on the job 24 X 7 X 365″ which is clearly false.
Nearly all of AuroIN’s workforce is based in Bhubaneswar, India and receives a meager compensation for 12 hours a day labor. 90% of the company’s employees earns the scanty amount of less than 4, 000 Rupees for a month work, which after deductions sums up to just a little below $70 a month. Here’s a real employee’s pay slip for October 2012:
But while almost the entire manpower of AuroIN couldn’t even afford one dinner in a New York restaurant from a full month paycheck, the case is not the same for the company’s few upper management members. Each of them takes home a salary of at least a hundred times greater than the simple “Link Builder” employee.
Each of these executives is by the way a kin to AuroIN’s founder and chairman, Annada Prasad Padhy. The sources tell me that Padhy and the executives are treating the company’s workers disgracefully. According to one source, sometimes employees are being asked to execute inappropriate tasks that are utterly unrelated to the nature of their job, for instance to wash Padhy’s car.
Another source says that one day Padhy had a tantrum and forcefully threw his keys on the face of the security guard. The air conditioner in the Link Builders’ workspace hasn’t been working for a long while despite sweltering conditions. Auroin is a house of scam
Annada Prasad Padhy tells anybody who wants to hear (or not) that he had a dream of becoming a doctor when he was a little mischievous toddler, but sorrowfully he had to neglect his high aspirations due to the lack of academic support and monetary problem.
Well… there were also these petty issues of overflowing imbecility and an unscrupulous character which got in the way of Mr. Padhy into a certified healer. So with the deficiency of the required merits for a medical practitioner (and for a moral human being), Annada turned to the beloved arms of the Web where there’s much else “to cure” (after you sicken it yourself).
Annada began striding as an Internet marketer since around 2000 and didn’t stop looking back on the ill road he left behind ever since! He founded his own little marketing shop, the SEO company AuroIN, because every soulless face needs a wrenched front to suck other people’s souls.
But alas! After many wonderful years of defrauding, deceiving and cheating its way into the pockets of the ones who had innocently trusted the untrustworthy, someone finally caught AuroIN red-handed doing the sprawled practice of cooking reviews and outed its shameful sham. To the growing disgrace of not-ever-doctor Annada, later on the story has been even highlighted on Search Engine Roundtable.
As it turns out, “someone” created many fake Google+ profiles of legitimate marketers and posted favorable reviews on AuroIN Google+ page, granting it the highest scores possible. But I guess it could’ve been real, you know, considering that Annada dreamt of being a doctor and all… okay, not really. But perhaps it was just a one-time “glitch…” okay, doesn’t seem likely too…
In fact, it’s not likely because it already happened before. A swift research for “AuroIN” brings a few almost flawless review pages of the company on third-party sites, for example on Glassdoor and Webutation. But when digging in a little deeper into the reviewers themselves, we’ll find empty profiles which suspiciously appear only to fervently praise one SEO company…
AuroIN claims to employ “700 fulltime professionals who work 24×7 in all time zones.” However, its LinkedIn page currently only lists 87 employees, most of them are yet again solely an empty profiles without an image, connections and funnily enough sometimes without even a proper name.
But even the greatest efforts to deceive can’t hide some of the complaints about AuroIN which are buried under the mountains of falsehood reviews. Here’s one from i-Newswire:

…I tried for over 2 weeks to contact them in regards to my account and got the runaround. They had no intentions of keeping their guarantee with me.

It doesn’t look like Annada and AuroIN are even trying too hard to conceal their deceiving practices, or they aren’t very good at it. Straight on AuroIN blog there’s a post headlined “Crushing Online Scam Complaints, ” which set to promote the company’s Online Reputation Management service:

The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.

They provide a facade of work (constantly emailing you so you think they are working and promising that it just needs more time for you to see results)... then when you start looking into their "work" all you'll find is incomplete profiles that have never been fully set up, crappy content that sounds like they took product descriptions from your website and threw them into a blender, and promises that they've been working on"campaigns" that don't really exist. By the time you realize what's going on you'll have lost hundreds of dollars that you'll never get back. When you call them on this they'll threaten to bad mouth your company and turn extremely unprofessional instantly. Dont be gullible and trusting like I was. Read the thousands of real reviews on the internet (and not these bogus reviews that comes from their own employees here). I've never felt like such an fool in my life, I wish I would have listened to the reviews I read online and not to their promise that they would be able to help me...

4.--No imputation is said to harm a person's reputation, unless that imputation directly or indirectly, in the estimation of others, lowers the moral or intellectual character of that person, or lowers the character of that person in respect of his caste or of his calling, or lowers the credit of that person, or causes it to be believed that the body of that person is in a loathsome state, or in a state generally considered as disgraceful.”
Further,
Section 383 of the IPC, inter alia, provides for the
offense of Extortion:
“Whoever intentionally puts any person in fear of any injury to that person, or to any other, and thereby dishonestly induces the person so put in fear to deliver to any person any property or valuable security, or anything signed or sealed which may be converted into a valuable security, commits "Extortion".
In the instant case, Mr. Omri Shabat has committed both of the above mentioned offenses.
Based on the above facts, I have sought your opinion as to what should be the further course of action to be taken in the matter?
