Hello, I got scammed by Audible.
One day I noticed that $15 disappeared from my card and called my bank to find out what happened. After I got the name of the company I went online and found their website. Contacted Audible support and asked who they were and why did they charge me and they said that was a subscription fee.
To be honest I was shocked. I had no idea who these guys were, I never even heard of them. The main question is how did they charge me, where did they get my card details? I tried to get a refund, but they refused and said that without my agreement they couldn't have charged me. What? I never agreed to anything! What is this? Please I need help, I'm afraid they can charge me again!

I signed up for 30 free trial of audible and cancelled well under 30 days. I got the confirmation email from audible of successful cancellation. When I looked at my bank statement following month, I found that audible has taken out monthly subscription fee. As I'm based in London, their is currency exchange fee also applied by my bank to convert British Pound to American Dollars. I complained to audible and they literally argue about the subscription not cancelled. For over 30 mins I tried to convince that I cancelled the subscription well under 30 days and that I have a confirmation email. No apologies from audible and they said that they will "cancel" the subscription (again!) and refund. But the refund would be in American Dollars, so no refund of currency exchange charges. I asked to speak with their manager. To that I was informed that a manager will call me back. No one called me back. Frustrating!
All this seems like a "fraud" to me that their systems don't cancel the subscription when they should if a customer has requested it and got the confirmation and company keep on withdrawing money from customers account, if a customer won't check his bank account.
Don't know who to raise this complaint officially against this company, get refund, compensation and an apology!

Hello, I'm submiting a complaint because we have not agreed or signed up for any of your offers nor have we agreed to any of the purchases. We would like for you to cancel the subscription and if possible a refund. The withdrawal for the subscription was on April 21, 2017. It was a 15.00 dollar charge on my debit card. I hope that you will compromise and stop the bill charges, thank you for your time.

My complaint is about Audible and their terrible service. I have been using their service for a long time and downloaded many books. While I was using Audible I was pretty much satisfied with their service but one day for some unknown reason they deleted my account. My account and my huge book collection were gone.
I tried to discuss that with their customer service representative but received nothing but excuses. No one ever explained what actually happened. But when they said that there was no way to get my account back I got extremely upset. That was not a nice thing to do. I am very disappointed with Audible!

I just reviewed my american express 2016 statement and see that I have been charged $14.95 since may 2016. As an amazon prime member, I understood I could download the audible app for free. I need this charge stopped impediately! I expect to be reimbursed since I have not used this service.

This company has stolen money from my bank account three times in the last year. On 3/29/2017 $15.85 was deducted from my personal checking account without my consent. I've filed a fraud complaint with my bank. They are associated with Amazon, since I am an Amazon customer, Audible says they have access to my debit card information. When I went on their website, all I read was complaints about them ripping people off, fraud, stealing peoples money, etc.

This is an audio book recurring purchase. When I called Audible at 9.01 I waited until 9:24 for a supervisor who would not provide his name. They did not have an account for me under my email, I did not give my consent for this purchase nor have I had prior contact with them. This company seems to be engaging in fraudulent practices and stealing banking information from Amazon.

Started seeing monthly charges to my CC account from audible. I do not have and never have had an audible or amazon account. The representative on the phone told me that since I could not provide them with the account number of either that they could do nothing to help me or stop me from being charged, despite being able to provide them with the bank confirmation number attached to the charges.

How can I give you account details to an account that I don't have and have never received a paper bill for?

I have the same problem as many other people, they keep taking my money and I have no idea how to stop that. I signed up for audible free trial and later they signed me up for a membership and charged a monthly fee. That was done without my permission, so literally they stole my money. I never allowed these charges. I contacted audible and demanded a full refund and of course I told them that I wanted to cancel my account. They said ok but one month later they charged me again!
And that continued for over 4 months until I contacted my bank and cancelled my card. There is no way to get a refund and audible is a scam organization, avoid at all costs!

Stay away from this terrible website and no matter what you do just don't give them your credit card details, these people will scam you and steal your money. When I signed up for Audible I had no idea about extra charges but as soon as I gave them all the necessary information they started charging my card and they did that without my permission. As soon as I noticed that there was money disappearing from my account I contacted Audible rep and wasted 3 hours trying to get my money back. They refused. In the end I cancelled my account but did not get a refund. This is a cheater website, don't believe them!

My credit card is being charged with US$ 14.95, on 6th of every month from past 6 to 8 months, even though I have not made any subscription or purchases.

Did not order this service, had no idea money was coming out of my account or this so called service, called my bank and called the company that is running this scam, [protected] talked to someone who I hardly understood (thick accent ). Was told service was cancelled and money will be returned in 7 to 10 business days; if not will be getting in touch with my bank and making sure no more money will be taken out from this scam company.

I am extremely disappointed with Audible! I was an active member of Audible for three years and loved it and had many credits there, but recently then cancelled my account without any notification and I still have no idea what happened!
When I contacted Audible representative he asked me not to worry and promised to find out what was the reason. But every time I contacted them I got nothing but empty promises, they said they'll let me know as soon as they get the information. I had so many unused credits there and that is not fair that such a terrible thing happened to me! I didn't brake any rules, and didn't do anything wrong. Please Audible, fix this as soon as possible!

This company has been taking £7.99 per month from my account for 10 months now!
I have been extremely ill over the past 10 months and have only just realised this scam has been happening.
It is not possible to contact this company...
£7.99 x 10 = £79.90! Stolen from my account in total!
I am on benefits and cannot afford to be conned out of this amount of money!

I can not understand how you could do such a thing. I believe your actions are illegal and fraudulent.

I recently bought Fire from Amazon and it is the first electronic I have owned. I must have hit a button without realizing it as I have been billed $14.95 on my recent credit card bill dated 12/31 and posted 1/2/17. I don't know what it is or what Audible does. I am over 80 years old and just learning, without help. It is sure more than I realized! Could you please remove this charge and any further billing? As I said, this in all new to me and I need to learn how to use the thing. When I learn, I may possibly be back if you will cancel this error. Thank you for helping me get through this. Bobby Sledge

i just looked at my credit card statement to discover this - Audible adbl.co/bill, NJ 14.95 USD @ 1.377257 = $ 20.59 on 20 December 2016 - what is that for? i have not authorized this to be taken from my account. Please tell me what this is for? is it to do with Amazon Prime which i also have not authorized to be taken from this acct.
I do not have a client number that i am aware of.

Amazon's Audible "gift membership" (3 month, 6 month, 12 month) is a complete scam! If you are already a member, you will continue getting charged personally, even if your using the "gift membership" (i.e. the person gifting you hasn't given you a real membership, just credits, so you continue paying at the same time). Amazon refuses to change their verbiage and offers no other gift card option. The only way to avoid getting double-charged is to cancel your membership each time you switch between gift memberships, or from personal to gift. Amazon makes it confusing to intentionally make more money out of customers, without their knowledge. I apologize for the rant, but I get disheartened when businesses, especially monster one like Amazon, cheat people! Please read or share if you use Audible, or if your gifting it to someone this holiday season!

These scam artists scammed me with their so called free offers. They refused the refund my money. Audible is the worst site I have ever used, avoid it!
