Audi poor quality vehicles

I bought a brand new Audi A4 2.0T last year. Ever since it has been in and out of dealerships across Gauteng. It's been more at dealerships for repairs on the same problem than I have managed to use it. 42000km of which most have been used for their testing processes. I have been told so many different stories about what was wrong with the car that even i am not sure what parts they haven't tried yet. 2 weeks at Bruma Audi, 4.5 weeks at Audi East Rand, almost 6 weeks at Audi The Glen, 5 times being towed, hundreds of different parts fitted, many new dents and scratches at dealerships and NOBODY can say what's actually faulty on the car. Brandon(service manager at Audi The Glen) says this" firstly the other dealerships should have found the fault as he picked up numerous faults that nobody else picked up" he cannot give me a courtesy car because they are all out due to other faulty cars being repaired. What a joke of a vehicle. #dontbuyaudi unless you like not using a car you spend money money on.
Up till now nobody anywhere can tell me how long more it will take to get my car sorted and returned.

Audi audi center durban

Am Sonnyboy bought a car at Audi center Durban.
After signing contract Audi failed to deliver a car to me but I was adviced to use my expenses to collect the car and will be refunded within a day.

FIRST...
Since I collected a car on the 07 September 2018 to date I have never received my refund.
SECONDLY...
on my contract tracker was included on my finance organised by the dealer but up to today my car is never being fitted with the device.
My car insurance for to give me full cover I should have that tracking device therefore who will be reliable should something happened to the car because the insurance states that for me to receive a full cover tracker must be fitted.

N.B
I have tried several times to talk to Mr De Bruin about this but nothing is happening
To be honest am really disappointed by the service received from Audi.

Please help

Kind regards
Sonnyboy Mallela

Audi poor service from audi assist technician and call centre person called lephoho

I called Audi Assist at 18.20 on 11 September 2018 and spoke to Lephoho who then put me through to Rainer when I asked if he could send an Audi Assist person to help the security guards who were changing my tyre and had trouble with the jack . I told him where I was - near the on ramp to the M1 north, with the road going left to Booysens and the one to the right going into the Joburg CBD. But he was just not familiar with the area - so disappointing as I discribed it to him but what made it worse was that your person who connected me to him Lephoho tried to tell me that the guy was trying to help. Really, he was really not very helpful and should be ashamed of himself. I got the impression your Audi Assist Technian just did not want to make the effort to come out and check. He sounded uninterested.

You really need to vet your staff carefully for customer care and service. It impacts on your brand and how it is perceived. The area is not safe but for the security guards who were kind enough to assist. Without them I do not think that your Audi Assist would have bothered to arrive and help.

Audi audi 2014q5 vin#wa1cfafp9ea027263

I purchased my Audi new in 2013. I have had it serviced regularly and up to this point have loved it. On August 28, 2018 it began making a bucking feeling upon breaking and after that was difficult to start. I thankfully got it immediately home and into my garage. I had it transported via flatbed to the local Audi dealership, Valenti Audi in Watertown CT, as they recommended not to try to drive it. Now they say the timing chain/mechanism/system has needed replacement and the cost to me is $4721.21 which includes $4300 parts and labor, towing and tax. With a well cared for vehicle with less than 74, 000 miles, this should not be my responsibility to pay. I am now well aware of the timing mechanism class action suit which does not include my vehicle and I would like to be compensated for mine as well. Please reply asap. Thank you.

Audi gearbox

I've been trying to contact Audi customer service to claim my right for a new gearbox for my car the showed performance faults during warranty and recently at Km 40k showed total failure.
All maintenance schedules made at the authorized dealer's workshop and it's documented on their system my repeated complaints from gearbox performance.

I'm asking a new gearbox at 0 cost since this part wasn't performing well during warranty

Audi terrible quality cars

I bought a brand new A4 2.0TDI last year May. It has now 37000km on the clock and has been in for repairs 8 times. Same problem all the time. Particulate filter. Last time they had to replace the filter which took 23 days with my car parked at the dealership. 5 days later it has to go back in for same issue. Customer service always promises to help but all they do is act like a go between and transfer messages. Complete waste of time. 700k for a crap car. Don't waste your money in Audi. This is the 3rd one I bought in the last 4 years and every single one has endless issues from particulate filters to turbos to brake problems.

Audi engine and excess oil consumption

I have been booking the car at Audi Hatfield for numerous times to no avail. I started booking the car in way before service plan expired. Beginning of December I booked in the car and the oil consumption was still not fixed. Eventually the technician, one Mr thabiso said he has ordered parts. I then asked for a loan car as I have already made plans to travel for festives he said he will give me a call beginning of the year as they had no loan car then. He said the new parts were approved as they were ordered before service plan expired.

Beginning of the year I made follow up and I the same technician said he was still waiting for loan car allocation as same is done weekly. I asked him to give me as soon as they allocate loan cars as I made it crystal clear that I cannot use public transport from Johannesburg to Pretoria daily due to I'll health and he kept giving me the same excuse.

Mid February I made further follow up to no avail. Beginning March I took it upon myself again and enquired on the progress of the loan car as it was already third month in the year, no success still. In March I wanted to drive to Durban and I couldn't due to the engine problem and the fact that I had hoped that he will make follow up too.

In all my attempts to follow up he has never called me to communicate anything with me or give me alternatives. Each time I am the one making follow up to no avail. It's not my fault that the numerous times I booked in the car he was not able to fix the engine before service plan expired. He ordered parts and he was very much aware that asking me to bring the beginning of the year the car will not have service plan, yet he assured me that it was approved and all was in place.

I hate the fact that I always have to be the one making follow up. He has no decency none whatsoever to communicate on progress.

Beginning of April I made further enquiry regardless of the fact that I am always the one after him. He said that I no longer have service plan. Why did he order parts? Why was the problem not fixed on time? I took it in so many times. Why am I being told this only now? I made enquiry on monthly basis I even have proof of texts I sent him.

I have to refill oil every two weeks. I feel unsafe .I am a woman and have to be driving a car with engine problem . I am so angry and fed up with Audi and their service. That's very incompetent and inconsiderate.
At what point was the technician and his manager unable to give me feedback and communicate?
If the parts were already ordered what was difficult for them to advise on same? It's only now in April they told me the new parts will not be installed and the engine will not be fizedt. Why was I not told beginning of the year?

They are inconsiderate . I have made follow up on more than one occasion and nothing positive was communicated . At this point I want my engine fixed and this matter escalated and treated with urgency

Kind regards

Audi incorrect finance agreement

I recently purchased an 2017 Audi A3 Sedan from Audi Waterfront in Cape Town. In my documented conversations with the dealership I expressly confirmed that there was to be no residual on the Finance agreement. Audi came back to me with a finance quote that detailed a monthly premium without a residual balance. I advised Audi that I would like to get a comparative quote from Absa Bank as they are my Bank. When the quotation finally came back the Premium was approximately R 7100-00 Pm. I was told that there was no residual balance on the vehicle and as such was happy to sign the contract. At no point in the contracting process was I shown a residual Value. Had there been a residual balance I would have declined the agreement.

In December 2017 I received my first Finance Statement from ABSA Showing that there was a residual Balance on the Vehicle. I contacted Clair Kingsley at Audi who said she would come back to me. To date I have received no responses from Audi as to their fault in mis-representing the contract I signed. I requested a copy of my contract that I signed and it does indicate a residual Value. However as previously mentioned this was never pointed out to me and I would never have signed the contract had it been made clear to me there was a residual. My final Quotes from Audi also Reflect no Residual on the Vehicle. I have since amended my instalment contract with ABSA so that there is no Residual due at the end of the Finance Term. I do however feel cheated as I am now paying an additional R 700-00 Per month that I had not budgeted for.

In order to have my complaint resolved, I have asked AUDI to please look at refinancing my AUDI based on the original discussion of no residual, even if it means adjusting the interest rate so that the Instalment matches the repayment of R 7100-00 inclusive of service charge that I was led to believe I was signing without a residual. Once again I have received no response. Please note that

Audi workshop damage not repaired whilst other repairs were undertaken

I booked my vehicle in with Audi Richards Bay for repairs to replace the fuel pump as well as find the surce for battery power draining over day or two when not running. The vehicle was booked in April 2017 and still not repaired fully after 8 months. The quoted estimated repair cost was provided as around ZAR 10.000 but I have spent ZAR 29, 000 to date. The fuel pump was replaced either twice or three times as they ordered incorrect parts. the reason was given that parts catelogue is incorrect. Numerous faults was indicated as the source for draining the battery but when the vehicle was delivered once during this period, the fuel gauge was not functioning and other problems not previously encountered was identified such as stolen emergency toolkit and I returned the vehicle the next working day. They also had to find the draining source as the vehicle battery was again drained when i wanted to return the vehicle. Furtehr repairs was undertaken and the car was yet again returned but then the doors would not unlock and the battery was not charging at all. I had it tested at a battery centre and then returned the vehicle on the same day to Audi. The workshop informed me that they had to continually jump start the vehicle as they could not find the source of the draining battery but they then removed the car tracking system. they also found that the fuses for the alternator and the central locking was blown. they then wanted me to pay for replacement of the door locking mechanism as the micro switch inthe lock was also blown but they refuse to acknowledge that it could be a result from their work or charging the battery or jump starting the car that may have reluted i all the other blown fuses. The vehicle alos "lost" the coding for the remote central locking and this had to be reset afetr i provided then with the spare key to enable this repair. The car doors now still do not want to unlocj as the dorr switch is faulty and the do nkt want to take resonsibility for this damage that could only be a result of the workshop actions as the diagnostics that was done at the outset never indicated this fault before they did the work on the car.

Hi my name is Charles Montgomery and I just received this email this morning, I do remember entering a audi contest to win a vehical some time ago but I don't remember anything about winning money. In this email it gave me a batch #_AWQ: 4R2L7FG3W1T6. I'm pretty certain this email was a scam since it pretty much matchstick the other emails I seen on here only with a few changes like the name from who it's from and a few other small changes. But I still haven't seen anything in here from Audi warning people of this scam, I've seen others asking audi if this is a scam but no responses. If this is a scam which I'm sure it is audi has a responsibility to inform the public if these emails are legitimate or not. I will not post any personal or sensitive information about myself on here because this is a scam. If it were legit they wounderstand not ask you to post personal Infor openly like this in fact the batch number should be enough. In the contest that I had entered audi received my email and my cell and my name and that information is sufficient enough for me to be reached by Audi if necessary. You also may want to remember the chances of winning anything are slim to none so if you ever receive an email like this one that you are not quite sure about its credibility that it most certainly is a scam. When was the last time you were lucky enough to win something. Also if you do not remember entering a contest then again it is a scam. He'll even if you entered a contest like I did ask yourself why they want you to post personal info openly. If it seems to good to be true then it is and I'm sorry to disappoint you. It's despicable what these scammer's do- preying on the hopes and dreams of innocent;slightly naive people who just want to belive the best, but don't put yourself and your family in danger of fraud protect your information and learn how to spot scams and frauds- there are tips on google. It can take years even a lifetime to recover from a stolen identity- think about that next time you openly and willingly put your info on a website for anyone to see. And remember once you post something on the Internet it's there to stay, for all to see now and in the future. Best of luck to you all and I'm sorry it would have been nice to win a new car.

Audi unethical behavior

Hi.
I spoke to George at Audi Centre Johannesburg on Monday who informed me that the vehicle was still available and I requested that he send me a OTP, which he said he was going to do.

Now you telling me that the vehicle is sold I don't understand.

Do you guys only cater for special people/friends, sorry I know it's not your fault but it's frustrating to me. I've been looking for this car for a while and now that I finally found one it's conveniently sold.

Can you please send me the details to your Head manager or PM so I can lodge a complaint against George and actually find out what happened.

Please contact me on [protected]

Steven

I bought Audi A4 TFSI 1.8 at Johannesburg Audi in 2015 Jun. I took the car there for each 15000 km service until the last service of 60000 km and it's now at 65000 km. After 60000 km service the car started having high revs when I step on the accelerator, sometime it would even show wrong gears on the dash-board when I change them(gears).

Out of the blue on the 14 Feb 2018 when I was driving on Allendale avenue from Johannesburg to Kemptonpark, the engine just cut off when I pulled off the robot and it did not want to start at all. Audi Road Assist came to take the car to Johannesburg Audi Dealership and the next morning the guy called Damien from Audi workshop informed me that the clutch kit burned out and the motor plan doesn't cover it.

I then went to the dealership and met the supervisor(Victor) who said the same and that they conclude it is as a results of my style of driving. I told him I was not informed when I bought the about the motor plan not covering the clutch kit and that NCA( National Credit Act) stipulates that the seller of the must inform the consumer about the product when they buy it(what's covered and not) and that the consumer should sign the product summary documents as a consent.

I'm now sitting with R35 000 debt that I must pay Audi to replace the clutch kit but the car motor plan is still in force until 100000 km or 2020 whichever comes first.

I'm very disappointed with Audi Johannesburg and I need to take the matter further to the CEO in Sandton.

Audi 6 days later and still without a vehicle

Frustration levels have hit the roof but more disappointed at customer services. My car was towed on friday morning (06 october at 09h00), I received a single call from audi assist to check if my car was indeed towed and after that well there was complete silence.

I called the dealership to find out what was going on and was told that I was number 8 in the queue and as it is a first come basis it could be days before they can even look at my car and this does not include weekends. Why could audi customer care not check on how many dealerships are in the area to find out who has the “shortest” queue? Or is this not common sense?

Eventually I heard back from customer services and there was no solution offered so I basically have to wait till monday (if I am lucky) cause there were no promises made to find out the problem with the car first and that is not even taking into consideration the next queue to be fixed.

Monday comes and I hear that my car has just gone into the workshop and tests were going to be done, they were completed by the afternoon and they did find that the battery was dead but they needed to charge it overnight in order to see if it can be saved. I requested the service of a courtesy car and was told that they do not have any available as there are other customers who have much larger issues.

So, after the overnight charging I was then contacted yesterday (tuesday 10 october) to advise that the battery was indeed completely flat and cannot be saved. The testing proved that it was my fault completely and that the warranty will not kick in and I would have to pay the r5580 for the new battery. I requested the report back from audi yesterday, the dealership was unable to send it to me due to the storm (I completely understood this) and they advised that I need to contact customer services who will send it to me. I contacted customer services immediately and chatted to lindi who advised she will send it to me, by cob I had not received any feedback or even the report that was requested. I noticed an email from audi centre durban that was sent this morning when I logged on, it was a screen shot of the report so I replied to the email requesting the full report, I was told that they are unable to send it to me as I will need to contact customer services for this (this was done yesterday). I called customer services this morning and my “case manager” leonie bowkers will assist me. Leonie called me back but again she has not been able to assist – according to her I requested the report at 14h00 yesterday (10 october) and the wait time is approximately 24 hours so when I questioned her about when it was requested she admitted it was only request by herself at 08h00 this morning and then the backtracking began on her side.

This has now turned into a blame game where I am being portrayed as the idiot who doesn't know how to switch off a side light which was left on for 48hours which is the reason why the battery has failed. There is no warning that this happened and is not obvious when the car is switched off. This was clearly “human error” which I would never do intentionally and obviously audi thinks that this was done intentionally hence making me pay for the new battery.

I cannot understand why this has become one of the most difficult process ever and why there is even a customer services department who clearly is not there to help but to rather play blame games to get out of warranty claims. Why is nobody willing to assist? I have explained from friday that I am completely stuck without a vehicle and for some reason it feels like complaining about this has actually slowed down the process to make my life very very difficult without a vehicle. I am completely lost and have no idea how to proceed further. All I want is someone to help me get this sorted out but it feels like everyone involved is just not willing to assist. Please help.

P.S. As I just completed typing this I recieved a "memo"from customer services which was typed out in approximately 2 mins and guess what they cannot even get the name of dealership that did the tests on the car correct wtf? Can this get any more frustrating.

Audi appalling service at audi rustenburg

I took my car in to Audi Rustenburg after hearing a weird knocking sound when I reverse and apply my brakes. They advised me that my engine mountings were worn out and after replacing them the noise would disappear, after replacement noise didn't disappear. I went back again they then said control arm bushes needed replacement, those were replaced but noise didn't go away. Took vehicle back, and now I'm told that Audi SA technicians advised them that once 'AUDI' vehicles reach 120000km they make noises. My first thought is I drive a 3.0 TDI Quattro, how can 120000km cause noises when people drive scrappy cars that drive to 400000km, my immediate reaction is I WILL NEVER BUY OR ADVISE ANYONE TO BUY AN AUDI, if the people selling us these cars already have such little faith in them. AUDI SA has not come to the party to assist me as their customer. AUDI CENTRE RUSTENBURG is the worst dealership you can ever go to, their mechanics are clearly incompetent and really do not know their job.

Audi special test market offer scam

Got this "official" letter in the mail. Announcing I have been selected to be part of a special test market pricing and financing event as the dealership is looking to acquire several pre-owned 2008 Lexus RX-350's and that their "records" indicate that I own one. I'm to make an appointment and bring in this letter for admittance to this event. I'm even given a "special" login address with my name in it to schedule the appointment. When will these scam artists quit? America's opinion of car owners is already at rock bottom but they continue to try to scam us.

Audi bacterial infection from air con system of q5

I purchased an Audi Q5 in Feb 2015. By Audi’s own admission, the problem of bacteria infestation in the air-conditioning system of Audis in Dubai is a known problem, leading to a foul smell in the cabin. In Jan 2017 I suffered from an Acute respiratory infection. This seems to be recurring since I’m experiencing similar symptoms. Pathogenic bacteria causes infections and contributes to diseases such as tuberculosis & pneumonia. Besides me, this is being inhaled by my 8-year old daughter and everyone else who travels in my Q5.
Audi Dubai insists on charging me for taking corrective action on my car even though it is under warranty. I am surprised to say the least considering the serious health hazard and nonchalant attitude of Audi.
The Audi VW Group is already embroiled in an international emissions testing scandal. That has to do with devalued emissions to the environment which could 'potentially' have a negative impact on the environment in the long term.
My complaint is much more severe & could have global ramifications if proven. Audi Q5 being sold in the UAE are developing dangerous bacteria in the air conditioning system which is being directly fed into the passenger cabin & into the respiratory tracts of all occupants in the car. This has immediate and guaranteed infection/diseases especially with children.
It is incredible how audacious Audi can act - lack of responsibility especially when it concerns their product posing a serious health hazard to their customers. I have taken the time to share feedback about my experience with the Q5 which will hopefully help other car buyers to make well-informed decisions about Audi and it’s products.

Audi after 4 weeks car still not fixed and very little feedback

I would like to bring to your attention my very bad experience from Audi with my car taking too long to fix a return job.
I drive a A4 1.8T se 2013 model bought from Audi Airport in 2015

Back ground
I had a break down on the 26th November 2016 after a lengthy period I was told I had a steering rack problem that was only resolved in January 2017 whiles the car was at Audi Bruma from whiles they had the car in their possession from 30th November 2017.

Problem
1. No feedback unless probed by me
2. It took way long to fix, 30th November 2017, December (I understand parts supply was a problem over the December holidays) and only received back on the 13th January 2017

On the 27th February 2017, the car gives same warning signs as previously i.e. Steering wheel faulty, do not drive
it gets towed to Audi Bruma

Here is my biggest pain and problem

1. To date they have not resolved the fault on the car we are now in the third week
2. Its a return job
3. They again have no courtesy car for me
4. No updates unless probed by myself and still told they are not sure what could be coursing the problem to recur and that breaks my confidence in this brand and product
5. I have no car at the moment
6. I am a sales manager that gets a car allowance from work and therefore they expect me to have a car at all times to be able to fulfil my duties, that is proving very difficult with the car not being fixed at Audi Bruma for over 4 weeks

I am disappointed at how they are handling this return job, the lack of urgency and feedback not to mentioned that this has embarrassed me at work and makes it very difficult for me to perform my duties
My Audi experience is ruined now, I would like your intervention so that I can get my car fixed and back to me please.

Audi car break down and courtesy car horrible experience with audi south africa

I got stuck with my Audi A3 in the Free state due to faulty and malfunctioning of gearbox, I quickly phoned Audi road assist that were very helpful I must say, a guy by the name of Keegan played a massive role in organizing a courtesy car for me to get back to Johannesburg while my car was towed to the closest Audi storage. I was advised that immediately when I get home I must take a car to the closest Europcar as it was a hired car, I phoned Audi Hatfield ( the most horrible and poor Audi service centre I have ever seen, they cant even do the simplest thing of loosening lock nuts on wheels of their bloody car)as it is where I take my car for service to see if they cant assist me with a courtesy car in the meantime my car is getting fixed in Bloemfontein but I was turned down with a reason that Audi is not obliged to provide anyone with a courtesy car. I phoned Audi SA with a hope that they will be able to assist me but only to find out that they are the worst, even after telling them that I am stranded I don't have a car to do my errands and to go to work. first they made a promise of getting me a car and later they went quite yesterday they told me that they can only give me a car to go to Bloemfontein to fetch my car and now I am surprised that they told me straight on my face that they cant be able to help me with a car but when it suits them they telling me they can organise me car to go to Bloemfontein to get my car while they failed to borrow me a car to go to work. there is so much that happened between myself and audi since from Saturday the 25th of February 2017 till today the 3rd of March 2017 that I can right a book with. In short all i can say is that Audi South Africa has the bad service and their staff is not friendly at all and I hate them . I even have a mind of taking their bloody car back and for another brand that looks after their clients. Again I had to fight with Audi in Bloemfontein for not being bothered to giving a work progress on my car, As i speak now I am waiting on the messy of Audi to repatriate my car which it will take 7 to 10 working days.

Audi hatfield audi freeway plan

Hatfield Audi Freeway plan a publicity farce:
In 2013, I bought a car from Hatfield Audi. One of the reasons I chose Hatfield Audi in the end (even though the sales experience was bumpy) was because of the 15 000km extension plan. The sales person did a good job of selling this like it is worth thousands of rands.

The fine print I did not read (bad on me), and they did not point out:
Cars can only be serviced at a Hatfield Audi on the freeway extension plan
At the time I lived in Secunda and the sales person knew this. After 100 000km, I can only service my car at a Hatfield Audi (so the choices are Hatfield and Rivonia, not very convenient). The car was sold to me in full knowledge that this offer could be useless.

Once you are out of your original maintenance plan, there is no way of upgrading, as the HAFP means nothing to Audi SA and your car is essentially out of maintenance.
My original plan was to drive the car until 200 000km, so I wanted to extend the maintenance plan. I knew that I had to extend before the car went out of maintenance, which I wrongly though was 115 000 km. Now, I am sitting with a car of which I cannot extend the maintenance plan. - This is the reason why I have bought a new car from a different brand to use as my primary car and which I can take to 200 000km.

The fine print which I never received and which they unfortunately cannot send me (probably because it doesn't exist)
So, my most recent experience irks me most, as it is absolute fraud. The mileage on the Audi reduced significantly since I have bought a better vehicle.

When I called to book an annual service at 114 000km (which is within the 15 000 km extension plan), I was first informed that I cannot do this 12 days before the anniversary of the service (even though all of the other Audi centres have a 30 day variance). When I asked for the earliest and latest dates to service the car (as it is really an inconvenience to get to Hatfield or Rivonia and I need to plan ahead) in writing, I finally got a call more than a day later.

Suddenly, the HAFP only covers one service, the 105 000km, and not any annual services. The catch is that the Terms and Conditions does not state this. The terms and conditions state “services”, they state “services” twice, not “service” or “only one single service”. Also, the service manager was unable to send me the terms and conditions as he does not have the authority? Why are these things so secret? I had to wait till I get home to read my battered hard copy in my car
