I joined Auction Teachers(they were also at National Grants conference) they made a lot of promises. They say they would create my website, pretty much do all the work and submit my web page to the search engines. There was a small fee, and then there was another fee and before long I was up to $400 to get started, and the impression they gave was that they would do all they said for that amount. But it turned out that is not what the truth was. Instead you got some software and the instructions to using the software, the instructions aren’t even close to complete. Then a sales person (outside sales company) called and explained that there is an additional fee to get all the services that they spoke of. I really wanted to do this and so I bit. $14, 000. After a year of working with them (and I worded hard), I have found that they are not professional. They are a small company trying to act as a large company. I had to do most of the work. The graphics that they provided were low end. The “Mentor” that is supplied doesn’t even know HTML, Java or Flash. They told me to go out on the web and get some ideas of how I would like the site to look and navigate. When I came back with the ideas, they couldn’t make the site navigate the way I wanted. You see, that would take Java and Flash, and they don’t know how to do that, and it doesn’t work with their software anyway. When they did submit my site (which looks like so many of the home grown sites with no destinction) to the search engines, it turns out they only shows up on a lot of the small engines out there. But guess what, it doesn’t show up on some of the biggest, like Google. I have gotten a lot of instruction on how to sell on eBay from them, but I could have used the tutorials on ebay to learn the same thing. I was told I would be able to use other programs so that I would know what to sell. They of course cost more money. I am not spending any more. They instruction give over the phone has nothing in written form to back it up. So, when they would show me something, I would have nothing to refer to later as a reminder of the lessen. For the amount of money I dished out, I could have paid a local programmer and they would have done all the work for a whole lot less. And yes, it would have shown up on Google. This has been one of the most expensive lessons I have had.
I hope no one else has to go through this.

I believe that we should all get together and file a class action lawsuit against Auction Teacher, for 'Fraudulent Consumer Business Practices', for the, 'return of our investments', and, to 'disallow them from continuing to operate "Business-as-Usual'.'.
I honestly believe, that if we act on THIS, as faithfully as we acted on "investing" in Auction Teacher, then we would be truly "putting our money where our mouths are!"...DON'T GET MAD, GET COMPENSATED !
LETS DO THIS TOGETHER...mhill3@inbox.com

Auction Teacher basically doesn't work the best for any start up person. As the other complaints above have stated, no need to go into detail, since others have. Save your money and go to other web hosting companies... these guys charge way too much monthly. I am currently looking to drop them and find another company.

I have a Unimweb store and it sucks. I had to file a complaint with the BBB just to have some simple issues taken care of.
Their tech support is non existent, the customer service… well, there is no customer service and every time I call is the same tech that answers the phone (Michael).
The latest is that the store checkout is not working and they do not seem to have any urgency to fix it.
I will advise against doing any business with this company. I will be taking my business else where in the next month or so.

I am in the 5-6th month of auction teacher nightmare and don't have my website up yet and I spent over 12, 000.00 . I haven't filed any complaints yet because the Better Business bureau reported that complaints had been settled, so I had still believed that I was on the right track. I am paying a ton of fees monthly and I hope to publish my website soon. I was a victim of exactly what the other complainers said and my wife had warned me it was a scam, but I didn't believe it. The tech support is very limited and so are their hours. What can I do?

I totally agree with the previous comments, what these people do borders on thievery. Auction teacher (AKA Unimweb LLC) does not deliver on services promised, and uses coercion, manipulation, false claims and the "follow the herd" mentality at seminars and over the phone to sell over-priced products and services. I wish I had seen these postings before I got suckered at one of their seminars that they co-hosted along with National Grants Conferences .

They get everybody all excited about making all kinds of money at these seminars, then take advantage of uninformed customers by offering substantial discounts only if purchased right then. They intentionally mislead customers, and are unable to deliver the support they promise. To top it off, Auction Teacher/Unim Only offers 3 day cancellation policy, which is totally inadequate to properly evaluate the product and cross-shop against other comparable products.

As mentioned by other reviewers, Their pricing and monthly hosting fees are excessive compared to other similar products. Then after you buy the basic web building package, they keep calling you to find out how youre doing with your website and attempt to coerce you to upgrade to much pricier products such as "mentoring" programs, upgraded web packages, custom design services, a 1-800 number and a merchant services account to process credit cards.

I bought unimweb builder software program for $299.00 (special seminar-only price, regularly $500.00, whoopee) with 1 free month web hosting (which ended up only being free for 19 days before i got charged) then $39.95/mo after, also excessive. After much research, and well after 3 day cancellation policy expired, I realized that there are other e-commerce platforms available for much less than Auction Teacher/unimweb.

The included "training seminar" ended up being basically a sales pitch for the Ihost merchant services account and the Auction phone 800 number, offering big discounts on both only if bought that night. Stupid me, I got suckered into buying the merchant service account for $500, and im still waiting for them to activate it, LOL. About 10 minutes of actual training took place at the training seminar. Then, at the seminar I found out there would be additional costs for Doba (wholesale dropshipper), and web domain.

After the seminar, I repeatedly tried calling their customer support number to get assistance on building the web site, and would sit there on hold for 25-30 minutes sometimes before getting someone, then when I finally got somebody, they were totally useless, and rude to boot.

I did however, keep getting calls from their sales people telling me about a "special offer that they only made to a very few of their select clients" and that I would have to be "pre screened and interviewed" and "if I passed the interview" I would be eligible for their Accelerated Master Mentor Program.

They kept promising that at the end of the mentoring session (1 year) I would be making all kinds of money ($8-10, 000 per month) ...needless to say I passed the "interview" and for "only" $9890.00 I would have the privilege of having a personal tutor to guide me through the ins and outs making money on the web for a year. All I can say is Thank God I came to my senses and decided not go through with this... when I decided not to sign up, Their Marketing Director called me and tried to belittle me over the phone in an attempt to shame me into reconsidering, then tried to hit my credit card for half of the money anyway. Unbelievable, and criminal in my estimation.

I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau on Auction Teacher/Unim which is still pending, in an attempt to get back my money for the basic web builder and the Ihost merchant services account (about $800 total), which is unlikely to happen, since their position is that "they are more than willing to help me get my website running, but that I have not made any attempt to do so as yet” (probably because I got sick of spending my life on hold) and because I am well beyond my 3 day right to cancel.

In summary, don’t get suckered by this outfit, they are a rinky dink operation that will promise you the moon in order to get your money, then they come up empty when it is time to deliver, SO STAY AWAY and look for other more cost effective alternatives.

I agree. I had the same experiences with both Auction Teacher and Innovative Merchant Solutions. SO in order to prevent these companies from continuing the find new customers to rip off, I think we should gather some people together and protest their events. I think we should show up at their seminars and pass out information and flyers to people, so they know what these companies are really about. That way, no one else will fall victim to them.

I agree. I went to the seminar and it is too good to be true. They wanted me to invest more money. What they said and what they produced were very different.

We went to the Auction Teacher semiar too. It sounds good start your own business, but wasn't that easy like they said you sell on ebay and your web site. You need to pay couple hundred to thousands to the search engine for someone to notice your web site. They recommand the Innovative Merchant which is a scam company and you need to pay $300.00 for cancellation. You can check their complaints in the web site. When I read it my heart is like in ice water, because my stupid pay and join their services. You need to pay a high hosting fee and the fee is higher than a lot hosting company. 1800 number and dropshipper fee. Most of the dropshipper are expensive, you are very hard to compet with Amazon.com and even ebay. If you post on ebay every item has a listing fee, so depend on how many item you list, will cost you a lot overhead if you not careful read their terms an conditions.
Their Unim web service, they design the web page is not mature yet. A lot feature not install and even delivery charge you only can set a percentage. Never mention about express or ground shipping charge option. What a scam, my husband put a lot of hope with them. The whole system is a money machine for the poor eager money maker. I believe a lot people suffer heart break after paying all kind of fee and charge and acutally the business cannot go any where but sittint in their server.

I just hope people go the the seminar and look what exactly they can offer and with any fee. I do not believe have people are success from joining their system, if it dose they trainner should be millionaire.
