paid for pardon, never received, never received a refund
On April, 2009 I paid $ 325.00 for a pardon but nothing happened. I dealt with Joe Black. I tried to contact him regarding a refund but of course no response. I was eligible for a pardon in 2009. The incident happened in 2001. I did receive time in 2003. I did a terrible thing which I paid dearly for. Joe Black stalled this pardon until 2010 when new legislation was passed which would not grant a pardon for what I had done. The fact is this pardon should have happened in 2009, regardless of the charges, if he was doing his job properly. Like I said I paid dearly for my indiscretion.
Everyone deserves a second chance, even me. I have been a model citizen ever since. Now I would like to do part time work to supplement my income but I'm facing this background check. I may even to travel. If Assured Pardons of Canada and in particular Joe Black had done their jobs, I would be free of this. There are a lot of complaints of this company and Joe not responding to people's request or questions. If there is anyway you could help me or suggest any options so I can get my life back, I would appreciate it.

No excuse
I applied for a pardon in Canada through a company called Assure Pardons of Canada. They’ve took $325 for my case but never did anything to solve my problem. I asked for a refund many times but they just keep ignoring my emails. Don’t use their services.
I too paid $325.00 for a pardon back in 2010 and to date still have not had the paperwork processed by Joe Black (if it's his name) It's almost 2015 and I'm still waiting for my money back after numerous attempts requesting it back. I have lodged a complaint with the Vancouver BBB which attempted to contact him about m complaint but he didn't respond. I'm surprised the Vancouver Police department isn't acting on the numerous complaints about this company. Clearly the is fraud and with the amount of postings on numerous websites this company has defrauded thousands of dollars if not tens of thousands from Canadians. Guess they have better things to do...or view us as second class citizens.
