I worked for Associated Community Services for 3 years. It was the worst experience of my life. First of all, ACS is basically a dope house. The managers, trainer's and CSR's buy and sell drugs on a day to day basis. The company is a joke and they only give 20% to the charity they are calling on behalf of. They mainly promote minorities, they hire felons and treat their employees like slaves in a sweat shop. They laugh at donors and call them "sucker's" when they donate 50-100 dollars. So, if your looking for a place to buy and use drugs then ACS is the place to be!

To the above person - the answer is - you can't complain. They don't care and you only have access to your immediate supervisor, so you can't go up. My guess is that you currently work for them and are involved with PR or are in management. that place is horrible and everything everyone said on these posts are true. Including the drugs, include the listening and turning off your computer, including no one giving a damn about your needs. Hell your computer is timed, so if you have to drink or go to the bathroom, unless it's your designated break time, the system collects that information and you can be fired for having a pause time longer than their standard. No excuse, no explanations. I worked at both the Southfeild and Dearborn sites. They are sleazy, and they hire people who really don't have an option of quitting. They also give HUGE prizes to people to do the job well. Things like news cars, electronics, and big cash bonuses- which obviously came from donations.

Sorry about the bad grammar what I posted up above, I did not proof read. It's early and I am full of anxiety. This is the first time I ever spoken about ACS because it leaves a bad taste in my mouth BITTER! That was the worst job I EVER had and I would not wish that experience on my worst enemy.

I worked at the Dearborn office, I have never experience a bunch of cold hearted staff in my life. My Supervisor was a heartless man and ACS only care about making money not the charities. If you don't make sales, that's what they called it not get donations they say sales you will be mistreated, talked about by the staff and then fired. They listens to your phones calls if you're not getting donations, stop your computer, calls you the office to go over the script they have you read for the calls, or getting attacked if you didn't force some 87 year who on fix income and spouse just died of cancer to still donate when she says she doesn't have the money. I said to my supervisor and my trainer that I don't feel right trying to convince some older person to donate when they say they don't have it. They both told me nobody is off limits. Acs is ran by the devil!
