This company should not be trusted. They are not a legitimate fund-raising company. They pay their volunteers out of the proceeds after rent, office space and income for the manager and drivers. Very little goes towards the charities and it is not recorded what it is used for. Of what is made, a small percentage goes to the charities. Their calendars are simple and they overcharge. Many of the tickets printed off are sent to social service agencies in town but never used as there is little interest and they deliberately print off too many.
It is a business that profits the manager at the expense of the recipients. They do not declare income on tax receipts for the employees who are paid $10 an hour or else, commission if above quota at 25 percent of the profits. So take forty percent right off for the driver, plus expenses and the boss's share and the cost of production and little is left. It is about using and deceiving people as they do not do business the honest way--offering info packs and displaying goods, lying about the use of money, not reporting taxable income (both the boss and staff), promising to deliver early when not, bothering people by hounding them on the phone for a sale and calling them constantly and repeatedly. They insult their customers and bother them several times a year for a donation that benefits the boss only. She is doing quite well at the expense of others under the guise of charity.
I would stay away from purchasing any goods from this organization. They are not listed in the phone book, do not advertise, are not a publicly-known fund-raising outlet.
