Aspen Dental totally dissatisifed customer...

I've read all of the hundreds of complaints from acrss the country against Aspen Dental. And, I concur the the masses that there should be a class-action lawsuit filed against them. They've not only duped their customers, they've double-dipped when insurance covered some of the expense and they still charged the customers.

What I have't read on-line is one comment saying something good about them.

I too am a patient of Aspen Dental and it's been a 2-year nightmare with pain, teeth that don't fit and not being able to eat normally.

It's time to hold them accountable.

Aspen Dental horrible services

My husband was told that his "Total Treatment Amount" would be $6, 354.00. So far they have charged his insurance company and Care Credit a total of $7, 448.00, and they still have not finished his treatment. Aspen Dental still has yet to do a filling, Crown w/buildup, mold for his permanent teeth and getting his permanent teeth. We have spoken to Aspen Dental a minimum of 5 times so farand they keep telling us "I will check into and take care of the problem" with an erroneous billing. Now we are fighting a bill that they say is "over-due". When they started my husbands treatment, they pulled 14 teeth all at one time and they did not even give him nothing to put him out, they just gave him shots in the gums. He tried letting them know that he was in extreme pain but they would not stop pulling the teeth. He had tears rolling and they would not stop. When he had a problem with his temporary teeth, he went back in, over a week later because they were only taking GM retirees so they could get the last of the money from them before their benefits changed, and they were so snotty, mean and ruff with taking the dentures out and outting them back in.
BE WARNED, DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT GO TO ASPEN DENTAL FOR ANY WORK UNLESS YOU ARE INTO MASSIVE PAIN AND GETTING FINANCIALLY RIPPED OFF.

Aspen caused injury ulcerating gum, infection 3 times on gums after prep for a bridge. Severe pain after filling later resulting in root canal. Severe burning gums after impressions made lasting 2 weeks No call back for 2 days. I had to call the hospital due to calling doctors answering service for 3 days and no reply. The hospital told me to go to Urgent care due to no dentist on staff at the hospital. Urgent care gave me clyndomycin and told me to go right to hospital if I got a fever. Aspen took over 2 and a half months to complete work, it took a month to get in permanent bridge. Aspen put on wrong color 3 times. Way darker than my teeth. They did keep reordering the right color. I had to go to work and interview the public daily with a yellow temporary bridge and yellow crowns on front teeth. They stated they ordered right color but they didn't get it and said oh well it is only temporary. I took pictures of how awful it looked. I was embarrassed to smile. I endured pain for several months, I will never go back there again and advise all my family and friends of the same thing. One visit I asked why my gum above tooth was so purple and burning and if it would ever heal, it had been a month, she said it is Ulcerated and yes it would heal. I asked what is ulcerated, she said its a burn. It happened when she prepped the tooth for the bridge. Why did she burn and cut the gum? She was only suppose to prep the tooth. She ground on the same tooth on 3 visits. Each time I went and each time I was in misery for weeks after. I consulted with another dentist for a 2nd opinion because I was so worried she was going to cause me loose my tooth from all the extensive grinding. I was advised by another dentist office to let her finish with permanent bridge but not to let her do anything new and no more grinding on tooth. They give a good sales pitch when you walk in their door but be ware. It was all an awful experience I am sure I will never forget. I had to go on antibiotics 3 times because after each visit I would get an infection on the gum. I would suggest an independent dentist not a chain for any dental work in the future. Cost was just under 10, 000.00

I started out at walker office aspen dental attempting to get an upper denture and upper teeth pulled they were rude, rough, and insistant on me getting financed threw care credit because they said I needed alveoplast of the bones before a denture could be made to fit, and im just a person I assumed they were professional dentists and knew what they were talking about, how wrong I was They pulled my teeth made an immediate denture and done so much alveoplasty I have almost no ridge left in front to hold a plate in, walker office put me threw the mill for 2 years trying to figure out what they could do to make the denture work, well chargeing me more every visit until I just got tired of it and contacted corporate office in syacuse with my complaints, they then decided they would send me to the mt plesant Aspen at there cost to have a new plate made that fit only because I threatened to sue them, how ever mt plesant was just as bad they had no clue what to do I first had a male dentist a black man that was very rude and ran things like an assembly line he attemted impressions 3 times but couldnt get them right, then he disapeared and I had an old man look at my mouth and set another appointment with yet another dentist a black lady who was a bit more plesant but still at a loss she also done an impression and even made a set of teeth that fell out of my mouth when I opened it, so she came up with the idea that maybe they could use my plate as an impression tray to get it right but that didnt happen eaither this has been going on scence febuary with mt plesant and I was suppose to go back next monday to see the lady dentist and try her next plan but when aspen called to confirm today they told me she quit and had no idea where she went from there so I am just over theese people they dont care about the patients and this crap of helping us find our smile its all about how many people they can get threw the door in the shortest time and how much money they can make in doing so, I have again contacted corporate and stated im done with aspen eaither they are going to foot the bill for an oral surgeon or dentist of my choice for what ever I need done or im fileing malpractice against there company ive just had enough almost 4 years of running back and fourth for nothing but a set of teeth I cant use and a bill for almost 5000 FOR What ? Beware people DO NOT USE ASPEN DENTAL no where they are all fraudulant and will do nothing but cost you money and make your dental issues worse,

Aspen Dental very bad service and products

In April of 2009 I went to Aspen Denatal for new dentures. When I said I wanted white teeth, they said I had to discuss it with the dentist. She said that white looks fake. No it doesn't! Anyway they made me new uppers and lowers for $2000.00. When I went for the wax fitting I couldn't stop biting my lips. They said this would not happen with the finishe product. I went back when they were finished and I could not believe that they expected me to where these teeth! They were way to small for my mouth and made me look 20 years older. They also did not fit. They made a new set which were alittle better but I could not eat without biting my lips and cheeks. Also the bottom denture had these huge flares in the back which the dentist said were to stabilize it and had to be there. Tons of food went underneath them! I have had dentures for 30 years and nver had any such thing. I decided to return them for a refund. Another dentist there talked me into trying again so I did. The next set fit better but I still constantly bite my lips and they do not fit right. I have no more time to waste with that place and cannot take any more time off from work to deal with them so I guess I am stuck. DO NOT GO THERE! You will be sorry.

I too am completely dissatistifed with my lower dentures. But, after many trips over there, I finally just gave up. I have worn dentures for over 40 years and have never had the problems I've had with these. The uppers are fine but the lowers, even after several adjustments, just simple do not fit right. I was told I could use that goo to hold them tighter. I shouldn't have to. None of my other sets of dentures ever required wearing that paste and for what I paid for these, which seems to be way more than most who commented here paid, they should fit very well.

Aspen Dental billing

I retrieved an envelope from my mailbox addressed from Coast Dental. Once opened I was shocked by this letter which states that I owe $117 of which this is a debt not incurred by me. I disputed this balance that happened 3 to 4 years ago which was understood to be resolved. Years later I am sent a letter which reads: We have previously attempted to contact you regarding your past due balance of $117. as of today, our records indicate that we still have not received your payment. If we do not receive payment within 10 days, your account will be submitted to our Corporate Collection Department. In short, Coast Dental is making false statements about contacting me for a debt 3 or more years old of which was discussed and resolved by phone. They have not contacted me until now and the letter is not sign by an employee nor does it states the date of the debt. If I recall this debt is 3 or 4 years old and no one has contact me until now. Coast Dental did not render service to me so I do not owe them. The office manager at the time assure me of this so why this has come up years later is what I would like to know. Again I repeat they have not attempted to contact me. To my surprise, I am a member of "Credit Keepers" whereby I have my credit monitored, I received an email alert from them indicating that a change post to my credit. To my surprise and anger, it was Coast Dental who reported this balance to a collection agency and it has affected my credit score negatively. I am outrage by this because they have suddenly and aggressively threaten me unjustly. This office has always had problems and complaints and patients leaving. I am not paying for service I did not received. I would like this matter erased from credit and my credit score restored. This office seem to be experiencing audit issues and/or someone job is being jeopardize because Coastal Dental is sending me a 3 or 4 year old debt. No contacts and phone call until now. Coast Dental will be able to provide you with the exact date of this service. Please assist with this unfair debt collection practice. By the way, the letter does not reference a telephone number and employee signature. Very Very unprofessional letter I received from Frank Cerra, no title mentioned. Coast Dental cannot be trusted and I hope they do not go to the extent of falsifying records. I would not put it past them. I never like the service received at this location. If you investigate, you will find a lot of turnovers in this office. (supporting documents upon request) Sincerely written, Jacqulyn Rush.

2005 Dr. Frank Cerra put a crown in my mouth. It started bothering me a couple of years ago. Food constantly packs down between the tooth. A dentist said it was because one surface had been shaved off so that it was not tight between the crown and adjacent tooth. To compound the problem the x-ray shows that there is a hook on the crown that snags food and shreds dental floss. This has been very aggravating and is causing gum problems. I have had three different dentist tell me it needs to be replaced. I went to see Dr. Cerra about it he said that he would replace it but that I would have to pay for it. My question is this: Why should I have to pay double for a defective crown. The only reason this crown needs to be replaced is because it is defective.

I bought a piece of property in Conneaut, Ohio.. I was sold to Country Wide Home loans. When I was only 10 days late they they would call me even at 11:00 Eastern time, at night and scream at me. After I went into a complete break down, I decided to just leave. They put it up for auction before I could get a chance to refinance it. After they sold my property for only 20, 000, they put the rest of what they were trying to get on my incometax.. I am still paying for it. I really think that these companies need to be sued by all the ones that have had bad dealings with them... I hate Country Wide Home Loans, and I hated losing my property.. How do they get away from this? Because they are backed 100% by our indebt Goverment!

Aspen Dental over-pricing

My wife and I went to Aspen Dental because it was the closest dental office covered by my insurance. We just walked in to make an appointment. They immediately took her in, examined her and said that she needed her bottom teeth pulled and a crown on the upper tooth. They rushed us into the financing officer who immediately racked up a bill of $3200. Then, on the same day, they pulled her teeth. Within four days, they were fitting her for dentures. The swelling had not gone down yet and my wife was in extreme pain.
They could not get a correct bite. While we were there, the "dentist" said that she had to pull two teeth from the top. These teeth were already pulled on the previous visit. After realizing that the two teeth were gone, they rescheduled an appointment for her to do another bite. We looked over the Credit Care document from Aspen Dental and it states "These arrangements cover your initial treatment cost estimate. Changes in your treatment plan agreed upon between you and your doctor could result in additional costs for which you will be responsible." This place is a scam! Do not go. The "dentists" are unaware of the proceedures that they undertake and they overcharge for thier services.

Aspen Dental horrible dental experience

I went to Aspen Dental since it was the only participating provider in Vestal NY. It reminded me of what a medicaid dental clinic might look like.

First off a young lady made an attempt to take my x-rays - eventually I had to help her get the film pieces in my mouth and position them! I'm sure she had no kind of training certification...seemed to dislike her job.

Then brought to dentist chair, which is in a large room with 2 other dentist chairs divided by a row of cabinets! No privacy - made me feel like I was a number, not a person!

After waiting for a long time, the doctor (who looked to be a first year graduate) sloppily dressed, quickly introduced herself and began to examine my mouth calling off numbers to an "assistant." "Assistant" was a young woman, also sloppily dressed, who kept asking for clarification of what the "dentist" was saying...again, made me feel that the "assistant" had no training whatsoever! The doctor made no attempt to acknowledge me while she was "in my mouth"!

People walking back and forth behind my chair...since it was a large room...listening to other people in dentist chairs...that's when I knew I had had enough and was not EVER going back there!

I was then brought to the "closer"...yes, just like a sleazy car salesman! I stopped him before he went into whatever he was going to discuss, to let him know that I would never be coming back here.

I will definitely go back to my former dentist even if I have to pay large amounts of money for an out-of-network provider! It will be worth every penny!

It was a disgusting place - a great example of corporate dentistry!

Aspen Dental unecessary procedure suggested

I am 53 years old and get my teeth cleaned every six months. After being laid off, I got a new job, and with it came new dental insurance. I had to find a new dentist who took my insurance. Aspen Dental was the closest provider to my home. When I got there I got very anxious as I had to fill out tons of paperwork about payment plans. I had extensive Xrays done, then my exam (without a cleaning first, which to me seemed very odd). Then a woman came in and prodded my teeth with some kind of instrument. I was informed that I needed a type of scraping done, where they numb your mouth and then shoot antibiotics in your gums. Then I was told that my dental insurance would not cover the total cost of the procedure, and that I would have to pay $275 out of pocket. I explained to the office manager that I was only making $15 an hour, and with that I was supporting a disabled husband and a disabled son. There is no way I could afford $275 to get my teeth scraped. Well of course they tried to sell me on the payment plan, but I said No and asked for a regular cleaning. The dentist came out and told me that it was "against his principles" to clean my teeth and that I should find another dentist if I couldn't pay the price. Well I DID find another dentist, and guess what? He told me that I didn't need any such scraping. I had no bleeding of the gums, and there was no reason in the world why I should have to pay for such a thing. He said he would have been surprised if this was the first time someone came to him with this story, but that he has treated about SEVENTY-FIVE patients that told him the exact same thing. The Office Manager felt so sorry for me that she waived the normal $5 fee for sending me my Xrays to give to my new dentist.

Aspen Dental terrible experience

Went to Aspen Dental in Tarentum PA to find my smile. That was about 2.5 yrs. ago. I can not tell you how much trouble these people have caused me. They said all the work would cost over $6000.00. Well We started at the top, I was to have all teeth pulled and a immediate denture and to follow their TOP OF THE LINE DENTURES. Well the first time they made these TOP OF THE LINE DENTURES they must of mixed up my mold with GODZILLA these teeth were HUGH so I tried to have them adjust them. A long story short, the dentist Meredith said, "well thats all I can do for you." I gave her the teeth and said give me a refund. As I was walking out, she said "we need the immediates also" HA HA HA She wanted me to walk out of there with no teeth. yea! So they made a second set, again no fit, better but still could not wear them. After paying over $2100.00, I still have no smile. THEY FOUND MY POCKETS AND TOOK MY MONEY! So I decided to work with CARE CREDIT, that went no where. Finally, Aspen Dental decided to give me credit for those TOP OF THE LINE DENTURES! Well that sounds good, we have a price, because when this all started, their office manager Kim said she would have to call corporate to find out what the price was...duh! So, I paid $546 for the immediate and $845 for them TOP OF THE LINE DENTURES. The rest of the over $2100 plus $400 cash was for the pulling of the teeth. GREAT the immediates fit the best of all they tried, but $546, no way they are worth this, they are ready to fall apart. BUT I DID GET MY CREDIT Good, right...NO CARE CREDIT IS TRYING TO SQUEEZE ANOTHER $300 OUT OF ME. I paid them well over $1200.00 and they got their $845 credit so I say we are even. The lady at Care Credit said well you have some late charge and thats why. She's lucky I paid any thing, eat those late fees. SO here I sit, with bad credit and NO SMILE, hmm PLEASE PEOPLE DO NOT GO TO ASPEN YOU WILL NEVER FIND YOUR SMILE! please don't use CARE CREDIT I think Aspen and the CC are up to no good. FIND A NICE SMALL DENTAL PRACTICE you will be glad you did.

Allie,

That simply is not true. Aspen and Credit Care are ripoff artists on in the 1st degree... They charged me over $2000 for services I never received. I tried the "call the team" approach and "call credit care"... The PA State department of health is my next call...

It's a pure scam.

Aspen Dental poor dental work

I 've had problems with Aspen Dental at Orange CT, and I have the photos to prove it. The first problem was that the dentist did not orientate me on not to put adhesive over the area where there was still an open cavity in my gums. I was complaining that every time I chewed that my gums hurt as if though I had a tooth ache were there was no tooth. I realized that what was going on was that the adhesive was acting like a plunger within the gum cavity where the tooth was extracted from and was pumping air into, and causing pressure to build up within the gum cavity and of course it was causing pain to the nerves with the tissue. I had told the dentist what was going on and he denied that this was the problem and what he did was grind material from the area where this was happening which was the left rear of the denture. The problem became worst after they had put in the soft liner, because now what the dentist did not realized was that he had grind a whole right through the denture surface and the soft liner was now bubbling up through the whole and acting like a permanent plunger, pumping air into soft liner and creating a bubble that was conforming to the whole in my gum cavity. I tolerated it until not much soon after the denture split right in half from front to back. When I took it to get it repaired I also explained to them about the whole in the rear left tooth and the bubble within the soft liner, which was hurting my gums. They repaired the split to my satisfaction. However after I got home I felt the bubble coming up again and hurting my gums. I took photos of everything and use a magnifying glass to find the problem and sure enough there was still a hole within the area where the bubble on the soft liner was formed. I took it back and they repaired it. Well today I woke up and where the the hole was repaired the arch was split in half with the tooth hanging from it. It has not been six months yet since I have had my dentures, where as I am suppose to get a permanent soft liner put in my dentures, once my gums have completely healed.

Please stay away from this place. They put me in the hospital and a friend of mind ended up in the hospital also. Their prices are outlandish and they do way too much work that is necessary. Myhusband went to them and then after the treatment I received he went to another dentist. He found out he only needed half the work done that they said he needed done and this very professional dentist's prices were much cheaper. They tried to pull a tooth of mine that didn't not need pulling, I have found out they have to make so many bridges and dentures every week. I have a chronic illness and they knew that but they paid no attention to that. The office manager had to tell him, to stop his playing, he was singing, dancing, watching television, stomping his feet and twirling around on his little stool when he should have been working on me. He kept me in the chair over 5 hours. I was informed he was the boss and he paid the bills. Excuse me, but this is my mouth and my payment to this quack pays the bills.

Aspen Dental misdiagnosed

I went to aspen dental and was told that I had pre-peridental disease and if I didn't take care of it I would loose my teeth. I then applied for a credit card through them to have the 1, 505 procedure done, I am not ready to loose my teeth. As I drove home I was discusted that this was so exspensive. I talked with a few people about the cost and they suggested I go for a second opinion which I did. My teeth are fine with no gum issues the costs was 75.00 and next appointment is May 2010. This is absoulutly disusting in the health field that they are stealin from the poor. Beware and always get a second opinion on everything their are no more honest people out their.

Thanks Sue

Aspen Dental gave false price quote and would not honor it

My husband went to Aspen Dental to get his dentures because when I called and got a price, I was told a set of dentures was $199.00 to $1, 300.00. The $1, 300.00 sounded reasonable because when I priced them last year at Denture Center their price was $1, 500.00. My husband had gotten his last set there. So if your best set was $1, 300.00 then I thought we would try your company. With our insurance our co-pay should have been less than $500.00.

Then my husband comes home and says the teeth cost $2, 763.00. He told them that was too much so they added coupons to get it down. But our share was $916.00. This is $400 or $500 more than it should have been.

When I called to complain I talked to someone that said they would listen to the phone call because they would want to honor what they had told a customer. I don't have who I talked to because I have a new email provider and lost all my emails. I received an email from her that the customer service supervisor had listened to the call and that I was told the price was for each plate, not the set. But I was told it was for a set of dentures. I asked if I could hear the call and she said she did not know if technology would allow that and I never heard back.

I have called back a couple of other times and requested a price for a set of dentures and was told $199.00 to $1, 400.00. One of the times was on July 13, between 2:00 and 3:00. If you call the toll free number [protected] and ask for a price for a set of dentures, you will also be told what I was.

I don't know if my phone call was was really listened to because they said the operator said the price was for each plate. But nothing was said about the price being for each plate, because I never would have scheduled an appointment. I would like someone to listen to the call and also hear if it possible.

I would like to have the $400 or so that I was overcharged put back on my flex spending account. This was money I had alloted for my own dental work and medical expenses for the rest of the year.

I fell like this is a scam to get people into your office. Why would people come there when you chage double what someone else does. If I can't get my refund, the $400.00 you have taken from me is buying you a lot more than that in bad publicity. Everyone I know will hear my horror story of dealing with your company. That's if they already haven't.

I just started going to Aspen and was wondering if the place was a scam or not by the way they act. To have a credit guy right there to help you pay for their services, seems a little creepy and shady. But I saved my money to get the work done that I needed done. However, the price of getting that work done from 2 years ago has tripled, that shocked me. And the way the dentist comes in and grabs your tooth and wiggles it, tells you that is loose...well, yeah it's loose, you just yanked on it...it has to come out she says. Does the same thing with another one, that made me want to walk...no, run out. But I couldn't because I have a broken partial that needs to be re-made and they are the only ones around that my insurance pays for. I know one thing, they make a lot of appointments so they can charge the insurance more money. I'm still not sure about them, but I have to go there because of the insurance I have. Talk about a rock in a hard place.

My experience with aspen dental is awful. told every thing is covered except sedation for surgury which was paid up front. they then applied that to marked up copays whick is wrong. then get a 2, 000 dollar bill. they say it is not covered. spoke to insurance and they said it is and aspen has to bill them. then aspen says the dental is not covered until medical pays which they will not bill but they want their money.. not happy feel scammed.especially since I have 2 insurance companies waiting to pay them have already paid what they told me was all i needed and they took that and applied it to other things that are wrong and makes it appear that I never paid for the sedation. frustrated and very upset.

I've been nice about this but I'm going to find a Laywer to help with this problem! I paid in full over 5, 000.00 14 month's ago and I'm still being worked on for the original problem of just having my botton teeth out! Dr. Skinner and his staff have been wonderful working with me but 14 month's of all this agrivation and with my health condition's your company has put me through hell! Aspen Dental over charging and cheap dental work

My husband lost one of his front four teeth. We had heard about Aspen Dental being new to town and that they were taking new patients. My husband went there and and had his new patient xrays taken and a dental plan set up for fixing his missing tooth. They told him they wanted to do a two part cleaning, bridge work for the missing tooth, fill cavities, pull some teeth. etc. we could not afford all of that and were just concerned with getting the tooth replaced. We spoke to the office manager who told us about care credit. We applied and one of us was approved for a small line of credit. we decided to go ahead with the cleaning and bridgework. We had insurance and were told that the work would be submitted to the insurance, and that whatever the insurance did not cover would be billed to care credit. before we even had the first cleaning appt, we received a bill from care credit for almost the entire amount of our line of credit. The office manager blew us off and said we should make the first pymt while insurance was processing. My husband hsd his two cleaning sessions, and then went back for bridge work. When we arrived for the bridgework, another dentist, whom we had never met before, told us that my husbands teeth could not hold a bridge because they were too loose. He said that he had just looked at the xrays, and if he had seen them earlier, he would not have gone with the bridge procedure. We found out that the insurance had not ever been been billed for the bridgework, but our care credit account HAD! They offered a different prodecure instead, and told us to see the office manager about a credit. The office manager kept insisting that we wait till the insurance paid something. They went ahead and did the new partial mouth piece and said they billed the insurance for it. After waiting two months with no call back and many messages left for the office manager, I called and found out that not only had the insurance claim not been billed correctly for the mouth piece causing the insurance to deny the claim, but the office mamager had mysteriously just not showed up for work one day and all of her files were all over. I demanded that our file be looked at and a credit be issued. I finally had to call the corporate office after I was told that a credit request had been sent with a rush on it to be processed quickly. It had not been rushed...so I rushed it! You see, we had been charged late fees, over the limit fees, and finace charges on a balance that should not have existed on my care credit account. They said they would talk to care credit and get those waived and they did not. When I called the dental office to get a printout of the originally billed charges, the office personnel would not even speak with me..they sent a dental aide to hand me the paper...which did not show the charge billed for the bridgework. That all being said, the partial plate they made my husband broke not even 60 days after he got it, and the pieces were lost. Since we could not provide the pieces, they said they had to make a whole new one and we would have to pay out of pocket for the whole thing. So...the battle rages on..but my attorney will handle it from here! DO NOT TRUST ASPEN DENTAL EVER! THEY ARE FRAUDULENT AND SHOULD BE PROSECUTED!

The people of Aspen Dental were more interested in signing me up for a teeth cleaning that they complete missed the fact that I needed a Biopsy. In my eyes this would have turned in to a bigger problem then having clean teeth.

It's corporate dentistry, they overload their schedules and burn out their employee's. They demand more work at faster turn-around times. That's why they have a high turn-over too. Quantity over quality . Doctors have too many patients at once, lab technicians are overwelmed with work, central lab can't handle the workload so they dumped it on the field lab techs. It's rushed dentistry...beware

I have had my plate since July of 2014 and they still do NOT fit. I am tired of spending my money on gas and not getting anything done right. They keep telling me to try one more time. I want my money back so I can go somewhere and get a plate that I can eat a meal without them coming loose. I use more adhesive then I think I need to but they won't stay in any other way. My teeth hurt when I try to eat.
They keep telling me to see the doctor. He does not do anything different. He made a new one and used the one I had (that does not fit) to make a new set and they don't fit either.

I completely agree. It's a terrible place to go and I will NEVER go there again. I had a denture reline and didn't find out until afterward that they don't do the adjustments without a charge because it wasn't their denture. I had it made in Michigan before I moved here. It should have been told to me up front and I would have gone somewhere else! It was a horrible ordeal which is far too long to type here. HORRIBLE place! Stay away from Aspen Dental. What a rip-off!

On 5-11 I went to Aspen Dental on Broadview Rd., Parma OH. to have an abscessed tooth removed only. Once they received our ins. info. and husbands salary all they saw were dollar signs. My husband and I were suckered into myself having a full set of dentures by Mehboob Abdullah d.d.s put into my mouth, which I would not have needed for at least another 10 years or so, there is no reputable, professional dentist that would do this to a person. Denists try to save teeth, not pull them all out. I had 27 teeth pulled out at once without the option of having to go elsewhere to be put to sleep, it was a horrible painful experience. On 12-11 impressions were taken for permanent teeth and I was asked about dental implants and was continually pressured about this all to get more money out of my husband and myself. I had enough on 3-6-12 and have never gone back and never will go back to them or any other dental clinic. They will empty your wallet if you let them. Since then, I've warned family, friends, co-workers not to go to Aspen Dental and to spread the word.

Rushed dentistry is being too kind. When I worked there there was a doctor always running behind. Patients having to wait 90 min or more to get in. Some walked out. The doc said I'm not going to play beat the clock which is what upper management told the doc to do.

This is a sorry company. Most of the dentists are right out of school or have gone out of business on their own and are trying to make it again.

Aspen Dental partials

I am SO upset. I finally got my permenant teeth through Aspen Dental and I have been in so much pain since the dentist tried to shove them in and the color isn't even the same as my regular teeth. I was sold the "best" partials they had and billed $1800 A PIECE for lower and upper partial and they look cheap and like I have a piece of plastic in my mouth. When I complained, I was told I got the best tooth they had and that the color was the same. NOT! I spent so much money at this place and I am so not happy with the work they did! Now I owe over $3000 and that doesn't even count what the insurance company paid them! I paid hundreds of dollars for a deep scaled cleaning and my teeth doesn't look any better then before they did it. I would never refer anyone I know to this place. They change dentists every couple of months. That should have been my first clue!

STOP ASPEN DENTAL!!!!

Yes, they change dentists every few months because they fire the dentists that care about people. If they do not produce enough money... they do not want them working there. I know this because my husband was one of them. Aspen Dental does not care about their employees or their patients. Bottom line... it is a business not a patient service company. They hire "office managers" with no dental experience to "sell" dentistry. Again, they will be fired if they do not get the patients to accept their treatment plans or they cannot get them financed. I have been a hygienist for 23 years and I have now made it my life's mission to STOP ASPEN DENTAL! Pass the word along

Aspen Dental uneeded terrible dental work

I went into Aspen Dental last year for a basic cleaning, and to discuss my options about correcting one slightly crocked tooth on my left front tooth. I had braces twice but it still was a slight crocked. He told me other than braces (which I had twice) my only other option for my teeth would be CROWNS.
I am only 24 at the time, thinking this was my only option for this type of cosmetic fix, I decided to go with this option (after researching this online).
The day of my appointment about 3 hours in (should have only taken 2 hours) he realized he didn't have the material he needed for my temp crowns (after he prepped my teeth) so he had to make do with some other type of material. After several hours of pain (this is after the location closed, it took that long) I looked in the mirror and started crying. I had never seen anything like it. The dentist honestly wanted me to go out the door and look like this for two weeks. The color of my two front teeth was pure BROWN! And looked liked the size of huge chicklets. I demanded he fix this ASAP (he didn't see anything wrong with them) so he told me he would call me tomorrow if he could find the right type of material. The next day when I came in the office all knew what had happened to me, and he began to "fix" the problem. When I looked in the mirror this time I was even more horrified, I understood this were temporary but they looked nothing like my teeth. I asked if my permanent would look like my teeth (assuming because this was for cosmetic reasons that they would) and the dentist just shook his head and said my teeth had been bleached before and were so white that no crowns would match that exactly color so I would always have darker front teeth. I just bolted out of there crying. If you know me, I NEVER cry... so I called around to all the dentists in the area and pleaded what had happened to me.
One dentist got me in that day and attemped to fix what ASPEN DENTAL had done to me. He said I would have been a candidate for many other things than braces and crowns. I was much to young to have crowns and now I have to live with that. Dr. Heinrichs did an amazing job and my permanents now look like my real teeth. He even uses my story when he has meetings with the board. Needless to say everytime I see an Aspen Dental I cringe, it terrifies me that people actually still go there and they haven't closed it down yet. I have pictures on my old camera if anyone wants to see, I am truly embarrased to show anyone other than my family.

Aspen Dental don't do it

In January 2009, I scheduled an appointment because I needed three extractions and was hesitant about getting general anesthesia, so I called Aspen Dental and was told they will pull them under local. Great.
After calling me in to do an x-ray and check out my teeth, the dentist sat there telling me just how bad my entire bottom row of teeth are, which I already knew they were pretty bad but I did not need to hear his thoughts. He suggested the best thing would be to rip them all out and start again. Mind you, I was only nineteen at the time and completely freaked out, during which he told me he will start with the bottom and then with the top. After calming down from that statement, they brought me into a room to speak to me about dentures and pricing. The lady was pushing anyway possible to get me to agree with her that this is what I needed. After not listening and seeing the price, I kindly got up and walked out while telling them all 'nope'.
A week later I got my three teeth extracted, under general anesthesia!, and my bottom teeth, ALL still my own teeth, worked on. My primary dentist did not see a reason why I needed to lose all my teeth. I happily agreed with him.

A few months later, my sister went in to get one tooth extracted and three filled. They did what she had asked, but charged her for a surgical extraction when it was only a simple and for a cleaning. The tooth came out in full, root and all, and she has not received a cleaning.

Do not go to Aspen Dental. All they want is your money and don't care what they do to get it.

Aspen Dental new partial

I am a very dissastified customer. I have spent over $8, 429 which the insurance company only paid $2, 500 and out of my pocket $5, 929 within the last 18 months. I agreed to 7 crowns on my bottom teeth which I was very satisfied with. I returned in Feb 09 to fix 2 upper teeth in which they said I needed a root canal with 2 crowns and I agreed to that. I also knew I needed a new partial for the upper 6 teeth missing. There was a problem with the lab getting the crowns right. I went to several appointments for fittings. The real issue is the partial for the 6 teeth on the top. I have had 2 other partials for the same missing teeth by other dentists and had no problems or pain. Realizing that I had to have a new partial made because of the new crowns I agreed to a new partial. I went for a fitting of the partial on 7/30 with the teeth set in wax. I could not tell how they would fit because with other dentists I was just fitted with the frame to see how the frame was fitting in my mouth. They told me the partial would be ready on 8/5 with the permanent teeth. The partial did not fit right when he put them in and I asked if they would adjust and he said yes. I was holding the partial in with my bottom teeth hoping that they would adjust to my mouth like he said. That evening I started to eat pizza at 8:30PM and the partial popped causing the crown next to the partial to snap. The next morning I called the 800# to complain and let them know what was going on. I talked to Amber and she said to call the office and speak with the office manager where I had the work done. I called at 9:05AM, explained to Allison what had happened, and asked to speak to the office manager. Allison gave me an 11:00AM appointment for that day. The dentist kept adjusting the partial and the metal on the top of the partial was very low from the roof of my mouth and he said that the tissue on the roof of my mouth would eventually drop. I asked him if since I was without a partial for so long would that have weakened the pin in the crowned tooth since it had no protection around it. He said that could be part of it. I had to pay $249 to have a larger pin made and have the crown reinserted. I do not feel that I should have had to pay this since the ill fitting partial is why the crown snapped off. I explained this to the dentist and he said that he would talk to the office manager to come up with a price. I tried to wear the new partial for the next 6 days but it still was not fitting right, caused constant discomfort and some pain, and I could not talk without lisping. I was afraid that since the new partial was not fitting right that it would cause damage to my real teeth and then I would be told I need new crowns and new partials and this would never end. I am now NOT wearing the partial. It causes too much unnecessary discomfort.

I went through Care Credit to have this work completed and paid $698 out of pocket and put $249 on my American Express. Since I do not have a partial that I am able to wear, I will be contacting Care Credit as well as American Express tomorrow to find out what my options are as far as stopping these 2 payments until I have resolution. I can be contacted at [protected].

No Dale, they won't get back to you. They never did to me. I've been patiently trying to resolve MULTIPLE issues for over 6 months now. Keep fighting and bringing your complaints to anybody and everybody who will listen! It's the only way to stop them from hurting any more people. I am making this my mission. It is companies like this who need to go down with companies like Enron! They defraud people. That's what they do and that's how they make their money. Look for class action lawsuit in near future.

Aspen Dental do not trust them

I totally agree with all the complaints on this forum. I started my nightmare with them years ago and it continues. They have ripped both me and my insurance company off in just about every way that is mentioned: fit, cost, billing my insurance co. For teeth I don't have, and would never accept! They refused to reimburse me... I will also contact my State's Attorney General, the Better Business Buearu and let them know what is going on! These people are the worst of the worst when it comes to corporate greed! I also should have known when they insited on full payment and when they wanted to pull all my good teeth out there was something wrong. I contacted patient services and thet transferred my files to another branch and somehow my records got lost. I wrote the CEO and also spoke with Patrick Thomsen Director, Practice Support and just got the run around. If I did not work 6 days a week 10-12 hours a day and I had the time to hire a attorney I would. But threw my job when I get to 10-12 families homes everyday to service there products and I warn them about Aspen Dentals incompitance and sooner or later the word will get out and these Thugs will go out of business.

Aspen Dental might do good work on some animals; but I doubt it. I wouldn't take my dog to these individuals. I as well as my pocket book will suffer for the rest of my life for the awful work they did on my teeth. Aspen dental covered my two front teeth with some kind of substance that within a month started peeling off when I brush my teeth with their special $135.00 miracle tooth brush I purchased from them. Please beware of all the baloney they hand you. Take the free exam and x-rays and then go find yourself a real dentist or you will be SORRY.
