Aspen Dental lower denture

After reading so many complaints. I have similar complaints tho the most recent is Two (2) teeth on the lower denture just decided to fall out all by themselves. My denture is just 2 years old. I was horrified. I went in on an emergency and they were able to put them back on but... I do not feel safe the way they looked after they broke. I am asking for a new denture as it is loosely fit now and like anything that gets a repair it is never the same Like New. I have had dentures for a very long time and since I have been at aspen for 5 years and a lot of money I just have not had the best of luck. Theres always a reason why things can't be done unless you pay more. The embarrass ment alone is enough to put someone over the edge but to have to see if the 7year ins. plan will cover it is ridiculous. Wish me luck. The person with the appt. problem my moto is 15 min and I'm out or like u said someone should at least tell you why you are waiting. Don't wait that long. I guess some people need more people skills

Aspen Dental hidden fees for relining of denture after only 3 weeks

Had a new set of dentures made 3 weeks ago. The bottom plate is lose. Asked about relining it to fit better was told that would be a additional fee. After spending over $2000 on the service there should not be a additional fee to get them to fit. Your office in Quincy Illinois was trying to recommend implants. I can afford that and should not be charged to have proper fitting dentures.

Aspen Dental wrong diagnosis and pulled a healthy tooth

Charged for a treatment plan found out was over priced. Then they sent me to a oral surgeon who said I needed a root canal in which I did not need. Then pulled a healthy tooth. I had tooth pain for 6 months the first dentist I saw couldn't find any reason for the pain he said there was no bad teeth. So he sent me to oral surgeon. He suggested root canal well, you need to get prior authorization first that was going to take weeks, and I was in a lot of pain. Went back to AspenDental Clarksville TN they suggested pull the tooth something wasn't right with that but you try and put your trust in those how have knowledge. They pulled the tooth made the statement you'll should feel better now. Well that was not the case. Still had pain and it even got worst. I decided to get second opinion come to find out from another oral surgeon and dentist I have a severe over bite the hinges in my jaw are locking up so I need a mouth piece to help correct this(TMJ). There was no need for root canal or pulling any teeth.Aspen Dental charge me for root and scaling 2000.00 within this treatment plan was charges for future visits already charge and a toothbrush antibiotics for teeth missing. I spoke to one dentist 800 at the most should have been charged. Manager pushes cost on to you when I question why I'm I being charged for future visit she said the company requires us to do that. I'm on a set income they have took me to the cleaners.

Aspen Dental upper denture

Dear Sir / Madam

I paid a lot of money in August 2017 to have a denture with Aspen in Avon Indiana.Today I have a tooth broken when I was trying to get off the cover of a chocolate candy.Big was my surprise how easy the tooth broke only after3 months.
I went to Aspen Dental in Avon IN .I was told that there was no tech. Then I was told to call the one in Plainfield IN.I went there talked to the desk, she talked to the manager who even did not come to see me in order to know what is goin on.
I was mad and I told the desk that I am going to sue Aspen.

I went back to Avon and after talking for a long time the employee told me that on the second of January 2018 the denture will be repared.
Now What I need is a brand new DENTURE because the repair may cause me problem in the future.
Prior to this new denture I had one 8 years before and Had no problem till it fell on the sink and broke on one side.
So I need someone who understands my situation.
Looking forward to reading you very soon.

Aspen Dental appointment, customer service

I'm patient of Aspen Dental for several years, and was perfect until the last year.

Starting with the Supervisor of the establishment, the receptionist and some dental assistants is the worst place. They decide which doctor will treat the patient without consulting the patient. They are liars, they change appointments without counting on the patient. When I complained the options are convenient for them and not for the patient. They are disrespectful and insulting.

Aspen Dental tooth extraction

Nov. 22nd I had a emergency tooth extraction due to the evening prior I broke a tooth in half. Ironically it was the very same tooth that I had had worked on previously two year ago by Aspen and ended up with multiple visit because of pain, swelling and infection. That incident ended up with paying for a $3000 root canal. Back to this year however I went in for a emergency visit had to wait a extraordinary wait. Then finally taken into the exam room seen by a tech, was told I needed a cleaning was poked and prodded with a lady rattling numbers, 4:1, 5:2 etc. Then the dentist came in said yes the tooth needed taken care and walked out. I was taken BACK out to the front desk where I was sat down and asked how I was going to pay for this, the proceeded to go on about cleaning, dentures, periodontal disease and handed me a estimate for over $2000. I said I simply wanted the tooth out end of story. I was asked to pay the $78 up front which I did and was returned to a different exam room. During the procedure the dentist was making inappropriate jokes about the latest news, regarding the scandals involving public figures, I felt faint and was very close to losing it. NOT a single time did the tech or dentist stop to check me. I was sent back to xray where unbeknown to me I had blood running like a river out of my mouth. I felt something on my face reached up and got a HANDFULL of blood. I have been a nurse for over 35 yr. so this didn't wig me out but the other customers in the facility starred at me like it was my fault. The xray tech bruised my lips and mouth with the device and then finally grabbed sani wipes to mop me up. I was returned the exam room where the bleeding continued. Finally the dentist came back in and decided to suture the site closed. This was completed and then I was discharged. Thanksgiving morning I woke up to find my right side of my face swollen hot and extremely infected. I had to call my family MD and get a prescription for Clindamycin. I kept "feeling" a sharp area in my mouth which after the swelling reduced and infection subsided started cutting my tongue and check. A large piece of 'bone or tooth" was sticking out on both sides of gum. My cheek and tongue looked and felt like it had gone through a meat grinder. I called and asked to be seen again for this problem was given appointment time and date seen by a different dentist was told it was a dry socket and the material cutting my cheek and tongue was part of my jaw bone or socket. The dentist poke and wiggled the material cutting me and pronounced it was part of my bone/socket. She put a dissolving pearl type substance which was supposed to seal and help heal the dry socket. Was told the tissue would grow up and cover the bone and no longer cut my mouth. This made absolutely no difference in the pain or bone issue. Over the next few days my lower right corner of my mouth became numb with a burning bee sting feel to it. Last night I was trying to eat ( have only been eating soups and very soft meats and vegetables) tasted blood in my mouth went to mirror and seen a whitish color fragment sticking straight out from the cheek side of my gum. I used a pair of twissors tugged at it and out slipped a shard shy of a 1cm triangle in shape. Extremely sharp on the outer edge. The pain in my mouth was intense for a few minutes then I noticed the bee sting was letting up, my lip starting feeling normal again. Today after eating TOMATO soup for lunch again I felt something break free in my mouth and I started spitting blood and material out. I spat out 8 different pieces of bone type material from the inner jaw side. There is still multiple sharp edges there but not as bad. The swelling and tenderness has eased up since noon but not by any means comfortable. End game is I will NEVER EVER return to your clinic and I will never recommend your clinic. Like I said I am an nurse in this area and have never seen or been treated as horrible. My husband is urging me to speak with someone in regards to this as it has affected my sleep, my studies and my work. over the last month. I gave your franchise TWO tries to help me and both times have turned to disaster. No more I'm done with you all.

Aspen Dental unacceptable wait time without an explanation of why

I recently scheduled an appointment for the extraction of a broken tooth and a consultation for future dental needs. My appointment was scheduled for Dec 11th at 8:15 AM. I arrived for my appointment at 8:05 after filling out the required form I sat down to wait to be called. Three separate people that arrived after my scheduled appointment time were called in without my being talked to at all. Finally at 8:55 AM I decided that enough was enough and got up to tell the receptionist that I was leaving. During the entire time I was waiting no one from the office staff bothered to tell me the reason for the delay in my being seen.

Aspen Dental poor fillings done

I recently had four fillings done at the local Aspen Dental Office in Texarkana, Texas. He started by drilling all four fillings out at the same time. He had a hard time getting the metal band on one tooth and drilled between the teeth to fit it on. He never refilled these gaps and left my teeth jagged with large spots that food would get caught in. I left the office and about 15 minutes later realized that he forgot to fill one of my teeth. I went back in and he filled the final tooth. I went to another dentist (Dr. Barlow) and explained what had happened, this dentist took x-rays to see what work had been done. I also wanted a second opinion on tooth that he said needed a root canal and also two crowns. I had to have all four fillings redone by Dr. Barlow. He said that two of the fillings done by Aspen Dental were not done correctly and still had decay under the filling. The tooth that Aspen dental wanted to do just a crown on was the tooth that needed a root canal and crown. The tooth that Aspen wanted to do a root canal and crown only needed a filling. I have had to go in for 3 appointments to have Dr. Barlow correct the fillings that were not done properly and have additional x-rays. I have missed hours worth of work, I have had pain from them not being done right, and now the insurance has denied paying Dr. Barlow for the work he has done because I have exceeded my allotment for dental costs for the year. I was under the assumption that my initial exam and x-rays would be free with Aspen Dental because that is what the sign on the door states. I got my explanation of benefits from my insurance company and see that Aspen Dental charged my insurance an astronomical amount for an exam and x-rays. I am so heart broken that I have had such a terrible experience with Aspen Dental.

Aspen Dental insurance coverage confusion

I was informed by my insurance co, Medicare Advantage Plan with a paid Blue Cross supplemental plan that I would be covered for one EXAM +2 cleanings a year at Aspen Dental 20 Commerce Way Seekonk Ma. When I arrived at my appt today I was told by a rather snippy receptionist I was mistaken as Aspen does not take any type of Medicare.
I called my insurance again upon my arrival at home & they again verified a Dr at that location does in fact take patients with MY coverage. I called the local Aspen back & spoke to a manager & again told I was NOT covered. I am very disappointed and quite annoyed at this point. Can you clarify once and for all PLEASE!

Aspen Dental failure of services/refund

Entered a contract for extractions/dentures November 2. Impressions done November 12. Scheduled for extractions and dentures on November 21. At 5:15 on November 20, I was informed my medical records had not been received. (Why was this the first time I was made aware of this?) The procedure was canceled 5 hours before the scheduled time. They offer a 100% money back guarantee, so I requested a refund at 10:30 November 21. Here it is, 2 weeks later and I have not received the refund on my credit card. What's more, until the amount of $2160 is refunded, I am being forced to postpone my appointments with Aspen dental's competition. Too many excuses, too many empty promises. Northgate Aspen Dental is not interested in customer care once they have your money

Aspen Dental disappointed customer

So I go to my appointment in the Johnston RI office they take xrays and then the hygienists does her thing the the Dr comes in nice young man and goes over my xrays which I knew I needed an extraction as to the reason I'm there today I'm in alot of pain and need two teeth pulled immediately so he leaves and the technician brings me back out to the waiting area. Finally after some amount of time I'm called in to talk to the finance manager which goes over the bill which is $7663, 00 I'm like I just need two teeth pulled immediately and she's persistent that the bill is $7663.00 and that they antibiotics are very expensive and so on and so fourth I told her I'll have insurance the first of the year and I only want two teeth pulled today and she was very unprofessional. My wife was just diagnosed with brain and lung cancer and I spend all my time taking care of her ie radiation treatments cancer treatments and if I can't be well myself how am I going to be able to care for her. I'm a veteran and was told they would help me out I guess not also the Dentist isn't even a US citizen he slipped that information out while we were talking I'm totally disgusted and I'm probably going to notify the media and they RI attorney general's office and the BBB.

Aspen Dental discourteous

I live in Oshkosh but did not have favorable experiences at the Oshkosh Aspen Dental so I've been driving home to Wausau to go to the one there because my parents recommended it, my dad had very good experiences in the Aspen in Wausau. On August 3rd, 2017 I went in for a tooth extraction. I was told it would be a two month recovery period before they could begin the bridge process. I scheduled an appointment for October 19th, 2017. This is when they prepared my teeth for the temp crown and placed the two temp crowns on. I was told I would need to wait 3 weeks for the permanent bridge. The next couple of days I found that my crowns were highly, highly sensitive to the point where I couldn't even drink water or brush my teeth without being in immense pain. I called and they said this was normal. The next appointment for the permanent bridge was scheduled for November 10th, 2017. I got a call on November third from Aspen saying that they did the impression incorrectly and I need to come in to get the impression redone. I expressed concern in the fact that I have already waited three weeks and didn't want to wait another three weeks. They assured me that my bridge would be put on high priority and the lab would have it done within a week. So on November 10th, the day I had scheduled for my permanent bridge originally I went in to get the new impression. This is when I was told that the temp crown I had on was placed incorrectly and was causing the high sensitivity. They also broke my temp crown trying to take it off and had to make a new one, making the appointment last much longer than I had anticipated. After the appointment when I was scheduling my next appointment for permanent bridge, I reminded the person at the desk, Spencer, that I was told they would have my bridge done within a week because of these circumstances. He said that we should just schedule it out 3 weeks "just in case" and that I would be getting a call if they had it done sooner, this was irritating but I went along with it regardless. We scheduled the appointment for December 1st (Friday). I never ended up getting a call. On December 1st (Friday) my appointment was scheduled for 9:45am. I got the automated email that morning at 7:50 confirming my appointment and at 8:30 received a phone call saying that they got notified on Wednesday that the Ups trucks were not running and therefore my bridge was not in. If they were notified of this on Wednesday, why was I receiving this information an hour before my appointment? I was extremely irritated, especially because of everything that I've been through with Aspen leading up to this. I am a student in Oshkosh and have been driving two hours one-way home to these appointments. I have been to the Aspen in Oshkosh, but I didn't have favorable experiences there so I was going to the one in Wausau for these appointments because I was referred to by my parents, who did have good experiences there. We are all very disappointed with the lack of consideration and courtesy at this company. I've wasted so much gas and time I could have been studying because this bridge was a big priority for me. I feel taken advantage of as a customer and would never recommend this company to anyone.

Aspen Dental denture

The last 2 month's I have been trying to resolve issues with my upper denture that was made by the Aspen of York 2803 Concord Rd. York, Pa., The first Dentist told me there was nothing else he could do and the new Dentist I saw this evening (11/27/17) told me they would either make a new denture or return my money..Amanda(office mgr.) then told me she "talked" to the Dentist and said.." he really wants to make a new denture" I said to her I have no confidence in the lab or the tech that made the impression to make another denture and will go some place else..I told her I would file with the A.G.'s office and she said she would "talk" to the dentist and call me..The T.V commercials do not represent what really goes on in this practice.

Aspen Dental dental appointment

Terrible way to run a business never mind a professional health organization. I had a abscess and my mom called and made an appointment for me for an extraction. She was given a price of 129.00 plus tax to start because I have no insurance Up in arrival I was told that the appointment was not for an extraction. they had to listen to the recording of my mom making the appointment before they would agree to pull it. Even though I was suffering in great pain. My sister was kind to pay my bill and they told her it was going to be 169.00 then after I was done which it only took a couple of seconds I was discharged. Once I was home, sister called me and told me they actually charged her $ 275! There was no communication on the change in price or reasonable reason given only poor communication. I have no stitches or surgical incisions. I feel terrible for what they did! A bunch of crooks!

Aspen Dental partial denture

My name's is Martina Bannister and I visited your office on Tuesday the 21th of November because one of the claps on my bottom denture came off.
It was on the one on the left side. There denture tech said that "someone" must have messed with it trying to blame me, but I never touched it other than for cleaning. He also told me that it was ok to just have the right clasp on there it would keep my denture in place. This bottom denture had been a problem ever since I received it, and yes I understand that it is temporary and it will hurt, but this one was scratching in to the bottom of my mouth before because it was too long and now the clasp came off.
I asked for Dr. Gillespie but he wasn't there. So I left with just that one clasp in my mouth. After about one day I noticed that when I was chewing on the right side, the whole denture would lift up and go down because I didn't have anything on the left to hold it down. I started having pain on Wednesday, we left Thursday/ Thanksgiving to go somewhere and I are there and my pain got worse and worse. Since it was coming from over of my teeth, I knew it had to do with the clasp pushing all the way down into my gums and jaw. There pain and thumping pain got so bad that I called emergency services from Aspen Dental and Dr Gillespie called me and put in some antibiotics and Motrin in my pharmacy.
I have been taking those, but I can tell that I have some kind of pocket of infection down my jaw and in my cheek. My face is swollen, muy gums are swollen and the last time I tried to put my bottom denture in I cried because it was so painful.
There are a couple of things I wanted to tell you, the tech said it's OK that a clasp can scape enamel of teeth, he also told me that he couldn't fix my denture that he made it seem like I broke because her had to go to lunch and it would take a day to finish it. I can not believe that it would take a day and a half to fix a clasp. Either way when he told me that it was ok to wear my denture like that I just believed him. Now that I am still in so much pain I would like to see Dr Gillespie because I know there is apuss pocket in my jaw and I don't want that to spread.

Aspen Dental dentures

My name is Brenda Dennis. I purchased my dentures from your Chillicothe office in 2014. I have 2 sets of upper dentures one of which they were suppose to refit and set so I would have 2 pair. Although I dropped them off twice once in 2015 and once again in 2016, the never made them fit or repaired they were returned untouched. The pair that I wear daily are falling apart. The right front eye tooth has fallen out and the front are becoming loose. I spent $6000.00 dollars for these teeth and now I am being told I have to do without them for a week to be repaired and they would not discuss the price with me. I explained that I work 10 to 12 hours a day and I need to have this done quickly they gave me a lame excuse about office hours of the person who makes them. I want my teeth fixed immediately without delay. And because they didn't even last 5 years I think you should give me at least half my money back. If I don't receive an immediate response I will contact my attorney and I will be going to online media and local news. My name again is Brenda Dennis and my number is [protected].

Aspen Dental unethical behavior-payment issues - no product delivered - unhappy patient

To Whom It May Concern:

I saw this ad on TV and decided to go get my teeth clean and use my dental insurance that has not been used for the entire year for me and my husband.

Aspen Dental
Jennifer Call, Office Manager, [protected]@aspendental.com
Madugula LLC
9997 SE 82nd Ave. Happy Valley, OR
503.224.9009

I went in on November 8, 2017 to get preventative maintenance. After x-rays I was told to come back on Friday, November 10 to get teeth deep cleaned because of periodontal disease and fitted for a partial for upper teeth. I did sat down and talk to the Manager about a financial plan. She used all my dental insurance benefits and I still owed more. I had to fill out for Dental First to cover the rest of the payments. This amount was $1600 with monthly payments of $46.00

My husband had an appointment November 10, 2017 at 8:30 am and mine as 8:00 am. All his dental insurance benefits were used too. He had a remaining balance of $500 because he had to get deep cleaning too. We both talked to the manager at the time and she wanted us to pay the $500.00 and I said no because my insurance should have covered most of the cleanings. She said that it did not. What she could do is add my husband's $500.00 to my Dental First plan which was $1600 and it would be $2100 and continue to make monthly payment of $46.00. I said yes that is a good and would work for us.

My husband came back on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 11:00 am to get cleaning and I came back at 4:00 pm to pick up partial. I arrived at the front reception and was advised that I owed $500.00 that was not covered. I had no idea of what she was talking about and said that I did not owe any money. She told me to wait and talk to the manager. She was stuck in traffic and on her way in to the office. I had to wait about 15 minutes.

I went back to her office and talk to her and she said I owed $500 because it was not covered. She put that on my Dental First for my husband and it took the balance from the $1, 600. I was confused. That is not what she told me she would do. She then called and tried to get an increase on the Dental First in which it was denied. She offered me to pay $167.00 monthly by three months to get paid off.

I am very upset for the following reasons:

1. The Manager lied to me.
2. This is unethical behavior.
3. As a patient I was treated wrongly.
4. The Manager does not even have a heart to apologize for her error.
5. The Manager does not care if I got the partial or not.
6. The Manager did not try to hard to help in my situation.

My Desirable resolution:
1. I would like to receive my partial as soon as possible.
2. I would like the $500.00 added on to my Dental First payment plan. As that was the original plan as discussed.
3. I would like an apology to show you care and make the situation right.
4. As being in an customer service position - ethical standards are important to hold to your honesty and integrity.

Thank you.

Aspen Dental bridges

I had went to Aspen Dental because I had a very bad pain in my tooth. I scheduled an appt with Aspen Dental since it was listed under my dental ins plan. According to the dentist I had Periodontist and gingivitis and I needed to get treatment right away because if not I was going to lose all of my teeth little by little. I decided to this treatment because I was afraid and terrified losing all of my teeth at such a young age. I was only 45 at the time. I was told the cost was about $10, 000 and that my insurance would cover $6000. The rest would be out of pocket which I didn't have it so then I was told about a card by the name of GENESIS CREDIT. And that I would pay a certain amount monthly. I agreed to it because I was in so much pain and supposedly this infection that I had. When my bridges where put and mind you I had 6 tooth pulled out because they were infected. I was told a mold needed to get done and that I needed to wear something temporarily. I finally get my bridges and I couldn't bite down very well. I was then told I needed another mold. I go back to the office try this new mold and when they put it, it was very painful! When they showed me a mirror now my new bridges are way whiter then my regular teeth and my left side the second tooth to the left is HUGE! I called them back to tell them about the color and difference and was told that my INSURANCE Company no longer has a contract with them!
