Aspen Dental my fill ins

Late last year and early this year Iin January 2018. I had four or 5 fillings done and 2 of them came out. It's making my teeth worse. I want my money back or they do the procedure right instead of the doctors trying to just take my money without satisfactory work. I called and asked them to reschedule me for them to fix it. They want me to pay more money. I have went back to them once after the doctor filled in my tooth on the left upper back and they had addituted. Then the filling fell out I want my teeth fixed the way fixed myself to pay the doctor.
I went to the aspen dental in pooler ha

Aspen Dental fraudulent charges

I was billed for treatment of 3 infected teeth. I was only treated for one in which I questioned because I had NO indication that I had an infection. I was also billed double for a service that only one was performed. When I questioned this with the office they the receptionists just argued with me and said there was no one else for me to speak to and that they would not adjust the charges. When I went to Yelp to review this company, I could see cheating people is common practice. I have tried to call several times to speak with someone about my bill, but I'm placed on hold with no answer. I would like a refund of the 3 locally applied antibiotic ($81 each which is excessive!) I would like a refund for the 4 teeth quad that was not cleaned ($269) I would like a refund of the $31 mouth wash for the infection that did not ever exists.

Aspen Dental dental services

I went to get a pretty smile but what I came out with was not a pretty smile but a mess of uneven teeth. One crown was done over but with the same result. Uneven. The rest of my teeth, I have no idea what was done but they are uneven . my teeth are horrible and I am ashamed to smile. This is not acceptable at all. I want my money back so I can go somewhere and get this mess fixed.I had 2 crowns and I don't know what you call that he did to the other 5 teeth but they are a mess.unacceptable and I want my money back. I need these teeth fixed by another dentist office besides aspen dental.

Aspen Dental terrible doctors manners

I went to Aspen Dental in Yulee Florida today. They knew I have a big fear about dentists. I had a bad experience and it's been 10 years since I went to the dentist because of it. Long story short I have a tooth that cracked and finally got the nerve to go. Being very afraid but all the girls that work there were great . They tried hard to make me feel at ease. But the dr said something that got me really upset and never should of been said. He told me my best bet was for a full set of dentures since I have terrible Hygiene because I left my mouth get so bad. That is the worst thing a dr can say to someone. I was embarrass enough about the way my teeth are and he just put a knife inside me. Again I don't know if I can ever go back to the dentist. Thank you Sandy Scott

Aspen Dental dentist pulled the wrong tooth!

Instead of pulling the broken tooth I came in to have removed, the dentist pulled out roots from a tooth removed over a decade ago. I told every person that I talked to the the tooth behind the roots was split. Every single person said they saw which tooth it was. I pointed at it.

What he pulled was not even a tooth! The dentist did tell me that the tooth behind the tooth he was pulling was also broken. He never showed me an x-ray image, or even pointed to it. He asked me if I had questions but I didn't know to ask if he even knew what he was doing, or if he was sure he was pulling an actual tooth.

Aspen Dental bad shade match of crowns

I had 5 crowns put on my lower front teeth. They are book-ended by two of my natural teeth.
No effort was made by the dentist to even come close to the shade of my two natural teeth. The WHITE CROWNS stand out and my lower front teeth look terrible bracketed by the two yellowish ones.

They refuse to do anything about it unless I PAY THEM MORE $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ !

What can be done to make them make it RIGHT ?

Aspen Dental billing for services not rendered

I obviously started with Aspen Dental because the handled my discount program from Careington 500. Nice discounts.
No problem in 3 years until new female dentist and offive manager this year. That is when they started padding the bills. I had a simple extraction, xray, novacaine, pull, pull, out. I looked at the tooth in 1 piece.
I find out they charged for surgical extraction. They owe me $96.00. on another date charged me for limited visit $83.00. they called me right in and filled the tooth. Where is visit?
I filed a chargeback with VISA and just received Aspen's side of story.
Lie, lie, lie, lie, they are all in on it. If I lose this I will be more mad than I am now.
I would love a class action suit!

Aspen Dental extreme unethical behavior

I went to Aspen Dental several years ago to get my four wisdom teeth removed. Before the procedure I spent time with the office manager discussing the payment options. I paid just over $400 that day, and was assured by the office manager that my insurance would cover the rest, and I was all set, financial-wise. The day of the procedure, the dentist had me in and out in 40 minutes, sending me home with a mouth so full of blood I was vomiting blood in the parking lot and a prescription for a medication called Clindamycin, and no care instructions or warnings about the script. Not even a month later, I started to feel very ill, but assumed it was the flu and tried to wait it out. When I couldn't stand it anymore, I was taken to the ER, where I was diagnosed with Toxic Megacolon and Sepsis. I nearly lost my colon and had to be admitted to the ICU for a week, which also left me out of work for two months. The day I was admitted I informed the staff I had been prescribed Clindamycin, and they told me that was VERY well known for causing C.Diff, the condition I had that led to my toxic megacolon and sepsis because I took so long to be examined. Had I been informed of the side effects of the medication, I would have been able to see a doctor much sooner, before it became a much more serious issue. A year later I received notification from Aspen Dental that I owed them over $1000 for the procedure that left me in the ICU because they failed to properly charge my dental insurance the year prior. I got in contact with an employee there explaining how ridiculous and unethical this was, but he refused to agree. I spend the next 6 months corresponding back and forth in regards to getting the procedure PROPERLY submitted to my insurance, and my last correspondence with him was an email assuring me he had all he needed and I was all set. I heard nothing more on the matter for several months, until I received ANOTHER notification about the overdue balance and it's being submitted to a credit company. I was outraged and called the office immediately. I was told by the very rude "customer service" agent that the charge would not be removed, that the people I had dealt with in the past no longer worked there, and that their dentist had no obligation, moral or otherwise, to inform me that the medication he was prescribing was well known to cause a dangerous condition that can actually become deadly if left unattended (as I had). Now my credit has been destroyed for a bill that I never should have received and is on my credit report. I want this bill removed and I want Aspen Dental to take responsibility for their employees. They need serious lessons in customer service and employees that actually care about the well being of their patients!

Aspen Dental very rude customer service and treats patient like [censored]!!

I went into Aspen dental in Mentor oh last wk, I was told nothing was wrong but come back in 1 week. Within that time I ended up in the ER where they clearly seen the cracked tooth that is causing me issues an sent me home with antibiotics so I can get the infection down. I went back to Aspen today for my appt an was treated like I was trash! Because I do not have dental insurance I was told I have to pay over $7000 upfront before they can finish fixing 2 of my teeth. They dug at my teeth an made it a hundred times WORSE then it was when I went in! When I sat down to speak to the financial aide lady, she was VERY VERY rude, and VERY unprofessional! I am on disability due to being hit by a drunk drivers in 2007, that also left me in ICU for 3 months so it has ruined my credit an I have since been rebuilding it. So because I do not have perfect credit an I am low income, they refuse to help me. Even after they already began digging n grinding at my teeth that are causing me problems. So not only did they cause MORE damage to my teeth they refuse to fix it unless I've got close to $8000 upfront! The entire point of a payment plan is so you can pay a monthly bill. The financial aide lady had the nerve to tell me "well it's not our fault you are such a low income patient an can't carry dental insurance so I don't know what you want from us". I simple explained to her I just need a monthly payment plan I can pay for monthly when I get paid. She proceeded to inform me that "well you can make monthly payments and when you pay the full amount we will then complete the process we've already began on your teeth". Your facility is a joke! You have false advertising and treat people like they are nobody's! I have NEVER been so disrespected an treated more horrible in my life!

Aspen Dental dentures

In March of 2015 i had my teeth pulled and dentures made that cost over $6000. I was never told about the $300 dentures i could have had made. I went back several times til i got my perm. dentures. I was told they were guaranteed but when i went back in August 2017 because my bottom teeth broke in my mouth while eating i was told that i was past the guarantee. Therefore they would not fix them. Also for about 8 months i had a credit balance of about $290 and when i had that money returned to my bank acct. I got a bill the following month for $320. I have not to this day paid that and do not intend to pay it cause i was originally told the $6000 covered everything so why do i even owe this amount. When my teeth were pulled 4 teeth were left on the bottom 2 on the right and two on the left and my bottom teeth never were secure which i complained about several times. This is what i want : 1. The bottom 4 teeth pulled 2. A new bottom plate and 3. the $320 removed from my acct and from collections. This is the third time i hv sent a complaint with no response. If i dont hear back from you within two weeks i will contact my attorney and if i have to do that i will ask for all my money back and the attorney fees. My name is: Debra Morin. Email address is: [protected]@gmail.com and my cell # is [protected](leave message)

Aspen Dental the services were absolutely awful and in process my molar was damaged so now I need another extraction

I went to Aspen Dental Clinic on July 12, 2018.I waited 3 hours in waiting room.when called back it was another 3 hours until my mouth was numbed.the lady that measured my gums scratched up my gums, the chair was covered in water, was told it was cleaner but had no smell to it..I was then told i need to pay 5000 for fillings.was told i needed extraction on upper R molar and my left side where there is no molar.my anesthetic wore off because i was left in room for too long.it was almost 8pm by the time i left this office.I felt pressure on my healthy molar and when anesthetic wore off I jumped.dental asst asked me twice b4 procedure which tooth needed removing.my mouth was numb as she asked me this.I was not called in proper mouthwash or numbing agent and my jaw hurt for almost two weeks not including the damaged nerve.

Aspen Dental dental work

February 2017 I had bottom bridge done at your Wilkes Barre Pa. office.
When they made a mold for my bridge they missed a tooth so the bridge came back with a very large tooth to help to fill the hole. One side of the bridge is up and the other side down and im biting the inside of my gum. I went to see another dentist and he said the bottom work has to be done all over again. I wnrt back to the Wilkes Barre office they had a dentist look at it she can you that it was not done right but refuse to fix it. The office Manager said in June 2018 they would reimburse me but till this date I have not. She say's she waiting on corp to make a decision since june. Now she can't or won't come to the phone. I tried to call corp no answer but I still getting billed for something that has to be re-done. Also January I received a bill for 80 dollars for what I don't know because I paid evrytime work was done other that what insurance paid. But March I received other bill for $200 another one May 2018 for $800 I look forward to my date in court

Aspen Dental they got "game" on deceptive billing...

First, the reason for two-stars is that the actual dental work was good. In the course of five months I had tooth extracted and a bridge installed. Initially, before the extraction I had met with the oral surgeon and we both agreed that the tooth, at the time, did not have to be removed. I paid the $5 co-pay of my insurance and thought that was it. Not, a month later a bill from Aspen Dental for a comprehensive exam of $70 (not told to me at or after the exam).

Later when the tooth was actually removed (by their oral surgeon) it was $80 as per my insurance. I should of reflected to the first incident. A month later now $174 bill for "equipment and prep" of the tooth extraction. I contact my dental insurance and they tell me that per their contract with Aspen Dental I should not of gotten that bill in that everything is covered on the procedure that I paid the $80 co-payment on. They took that bill off.

Here is how they double bill: The code a procedure, exam, ect. under the insurance code numbers and get paid by the patient (co-pay) and by the insurance. They then ring up not the same but very similar dental code numbers that the insurance will decline. Most patients do not care or look into it and "oh well pay the bill" that they now get from Aspen. This happened three separate times and until I called my insurance and then got them involved with Aspens main billing office...then it got resolved. Unfortunately, my or other insurance firms do not follow up on these practices. Yes, the patient will not have to pay, but Aspen is on to the next-not so educated-patient and double bill him or her

And of course every new patient signs the famous form for any medical office that if the insurance does not pay then the patient is 100% responsible.

When I got my ledger from Aspen and contacted my insurance it was flagrantly obvious what Aspen was doing. Even the insurance rep. I spoke to on the phone, stopped and laughed, when she saw the billing. That obvious.

Aspen also hires very new dentist. Being at two of their offices of about 8 dentist most had 2-3 years experience tops. One had five, three had one year. Yes, everyone is new in their career, but just so the patients knows. This is how they gain experience, make some money and open their own practice.

Bottom line: Actual dental care was good. The offices are new and the diagnosis equipment (x-ray, ect) appears new and very modern. I will not go to an Aspen Dental again based on their obvious improper billing practices.

Aspen Dental crown on an upper molar

When I had my crown placed, I had told the doctor it hurt, that it was sensitive to cold
and heat and he said it was just the chemicals from the bonding. Well over a year later, it still hurts, what a waste of money. I have a balance on my account I have been trying to get refunded to me for about 6 months and still haven't gotten, their corporate even sent me a letter asking me if I wanted it refunded and I marked the box YES and I still haven't gotten it. They want their dental fee's up front, but sure do not want to give you your money back. Terrible Dental Work, Terrible Customer Service...Will never
go back...

Aspen Dental charged for dental procedure that were never performed.

I became a new patient in 2011 with Aspen Dental. At the beginning, things went fine, I had my initial visit and after that I was told what I would need done to me teeth. I had insurance so I wasn't sure why it would of cost that much but they approved me for a credit card to use for the charges. The first charges total over $8, 000 including my wisdom teeth removal which i never approved that. I declined that so they removed the wisdom teeth charges and gave me the new total of charges which included fillings and possible root canal. I made my next appointment to began the process. Before I made it to that appointment I found out I was pregnant. When I went to my appointment I told them I am pregnant and I can not do any X-rays. so it was agreed I would come back after I gave birth to start the process again. I left my appointment, I received a call from my sister and mother asking me about my pregnancy. I was shocked! They told me one of them told them at their appointment that they had that same day. Which is a break in HIPPA Law. So after that Situation I was upset because I was newly pregnant with my first child and I didn't want my family to find out that way. I didn't want anything to do with this company after that. So couple years ago, I began to get phone calls from a collection agency stating I owed Aspen Dental over $2400 dollars. I told them that could not be possible because I did not have any procedures done with this company, to be charged so much money. When I checked my papers they charged me for the procedure that were never done. I called the company and explained everything and that I wanted a list of my charges from my dental visit, they first told me that they will have them in the morning. I called back in the money, no one knew what I was talking about or couldn't find my records. They said how my records were at another Aspen Dental branch.Which was false! I never been to any other branches. Months later I called again because I still was getting harassed about these charges by. The collection agency and then said they have to get them from an outside storage where they kept old files and it would take a couple days to get it. When I called back once again they company had no recollection of my request. So now these charges are on my credit for procedures I never got done.

Aspen Dental tooth cleaning/in alot of pain

So my boyfriend went in for an appointment because he was in alot of pain with his wisdom teeth. He tells them whats going on and they want to 1st clean his teeth. He didnt want that as his teeth hurt. BUT they did anyways, recommeneding all these things to him as hes getting them cleaned having no idea what he was getting himself into financially. Charged him a cancer screen of 72$ for something they didnt even take 10 seconds on. He was pushed and told he had to have all of this stuff and that his insurance would cover alot of it. Told him he needed this mouth wash it would help with placq build up but didnt say it was a 10oz bottle that cost 30$. The way the represent everything is terrible. They also threw in a 135$ toothbrush that was never discussed. I returned the tooth brush with the [censored]y front counter girls. He was not pleased with there service as they ended up forcing him to pay 175$ FOR A CLEANING! i personally went on Monday and had a cleaning at my dentist and it cost me 20$! 20$ is more realistic after insurance dont you think? We cancelled our next scheduled appt to have our wisdom teeth removed as he WILL NEVER go back to that dentist that treatment so horribly and unprofessional. We can tell all they were after was his money. That dentist knew she could get him for 4-500 dollars. I then tried to get them to explain the 175$ bill as well as returning the 30$ bottle of mouth wash where i was told i was not allowed. That it was unprofessional of her to return something like that. It was unused, unopened but she didnt even look. we went to the Kokomo IN branch and will never go back as well as informin everyone i know NOT TO GO THERE.0

Aspen Dental aspen dental vestal/ dr. malnik

My name is Mai, I'm an Aspen dental patient. I do have a big cavity in the bottom right with a decay, the Dr (NAME: Malnik) scheduled me for a filling last Friday (after one month of his assessment of the tooth - after one month to make sure it is after the cleaning appointment). I rescheduled for today. Then I called the receptionist today, the receptionist said: " the doctor refuses to do you the filling unless you do the cleaning". I don't want to do the cleaning and they want to force me to do the cleaning.

The Dr. seems to care more about me getting brighter teeth ($ 400 out of pocket) rather than getting an abscess (the teeth has a broken filling, wide open to all bacteria), the Doctor refused to schedule me before the cleaning appointment (which was on the 15) and made me wait around 1 month (until now) to make sure I did the cleaning (paid the $400) and then he'll do the filling (of course I was wondering why I need to wait one month to do a filling- now it is clear that he wanted me to do pay the 400$ first). Now he saw I never did the cleaning so he refuses to treat me (so weird for a doctor!). My aunt is a lawyer and I'll sue him

Aspen Dental extractions/dentures

On March 29th 2018 I went to Aspen Dental I already had a partial on the bottom and full dentures on the top. That's all I wanted was 8 teeth extracted from the bottom three were broken off and the other ones were very very loose and a full denture put in on the bottom. My top dentures were fine they're only about 5 years old and they fit very nicely I never had to wear denture cream because I didn't need it they fit well I did not purchase them at Aspen Dental. The extractions for the eight bottom teeth took all of about 10 minutes if that and the dentist never used any other tool or I didn't have to have surgery there was enough of the three broken teeth sticking up that they were easily extracted. When I first discussed pricing with the Aspen Dental Associate I told her I just wanted the cheapest that they had she said it was $399 and talked me into getting a top denture also so the color would match the new bottom denture. I was able to charge this to dental first credit. I did not receive any itemized bill. About three weeks later I get a bill in the mail from Dental first for $2, 900! I called Aspen and told them about it and ask for an itemized bill. I could not believe it they double charged me for both the top and the bottom plus they said they had to cut and charge me more for the three broken teeth which is a lie they did not. I had been having a lot of pain with my new temporary bottom denture I made an appointment and went back twice for adjustments plus there was chunks of teeth and Bone coming out which made it even more painful. I want back two other times after that they told me it was too soon to put the permanent denture in because my mouth wasn't healing from the chunks of tooth and Bone. I was told to speak with the office manager who was very rude and bullying. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income I tried to be as polite as possible so they would work with me. I got nowhere with them so I called who I thought was Dental first insurance but it was Comenity Bank we did a three way call to Aspen Dental Aspen Dental was not aware that it was a 3-way call and it was being recorded by Comenity Bank employee. They left me on hold for an hour and 45 minutes to speak with the office manager who kept putting us on hold we got nowhere Comenity Bank employee agreed I should get a full refund and said she was going to talk to her supervisor I don't want a full refund I do want a refund for the Dentures both top and bottom because they're ill-fitting and I cannot wear them and I certainly didn't want to pay almost $3, 000 when they offered me them for$399 I currently am wearing nothing on the bottom in my old ones on the top I do not mind paying for the extractions but I do mind the extra charge they said they had to cut which is a lie
That was June 12th 2018 it had been less than 90 days which they offer a full refund within 90 days which is just another lie. I received a letter from Comenity Bank saying that they do not handle the customer service part that I'd have to contact Dental first. Comenity Bank did not have any way of giving me the information to contact Dental first and there's nothing online how to contact them on the dental first Credit bill all the information is to Comenity Bank

I empathize with you. I had an experience also and made a posting on August 26th. They are a corporate "double billing" machine. Since they are a franchise.

There managers and regional managers get training on this so and distribute their billing "game plan" to all the other branches. That is why this is not an isolated incident or limited to a certain region on the country. Basically, this is national "Aspen double billing" game plan.
