Subject: RE: Account of service intervention ([protected])

Hi

Below is an email I sent to your department on 24th January 2022. I still have not had an answer. Can you please give me the courtesy of a reply Asap.

I have been a user of Asko appliances for a number of years and have found them to be reliable, efficient and pleasing but I am disappointed to have to write to complain about the service provided by Asko.

Below are my details and a summary of events.

LYNDA CHAPMAN

9 Oakland Heights Leeming 6149

Washing Machine Asko W2084C.W. Au Type WM75. B48001. Serial Number [protected]. Article 592099. Visit number 7132028

• On 23 September 2021 I had an Asko service man visit to repair the outer glass/plastic on the door. I was informed that non were in stock so it had to be ordered.

• I paid $100.00 for the call out visit and was to wait to hear when the new one would be installed.

• I was informed that a new one would be installed on 14th October 2021 with a message saying that I would have to pay $66 if I was not at home to let the service man into the premises.

• I did not hear anything from anybody on 14th October 2021 and the service man did not turn up. I had stayed in all day to wait for him so as not to incur the penalty of $66.

• I have since telephoned FIVE times [protected]) having waited and waited for someone to answer. Eventually, with the last call, I spoke to a person called Steve on 7th October 2021 who was most apologetic and assured me another person from Asko would call me via my telephone number to arrange a date to deal with the problem.

• I have heard nothing since that time so on 12 January 2022 I telephoned Asko and was told that I was in Position No 21 in the queue. Consequently I could not wait over the telephone another 30 minutes to get my call answered.

The cracks on my glass/plastic door on my washing machine are getting bigger and longer. I need to have a new glass/plastic outer part fitted urgently.

Also I feel I need to ask Asko for a payment to me of $66 for staying in all day to wait for the service man only to find nobody turns up or not even a phone call with an apology or a follow up call to re-arrange another date.

At that time no Covid was in WA so I see no reason for this lack of response to my continuous calls.

I would like the Chairman Kevin ke to be included with this email of complaint so that he can rectify the situation and obtain some action for me in the immediate future.

I await your response.

Regards

Lynda Chapman

Asko Appliances Non existent assistance

I'm writing about our last dishwasher that we bought at the end of September 2020
MODEL DFI443B - ART. NO. 733527 SERIAL NO. [protected].
INVOICE No. 125-FE_2020

Firstly, after 25 days of running, we noticed that the paint color near the power button has changed, as if the paint had peeled off from inside.
We immediately notified the trader.

Secondly, last Friday November 27, the dishwasher stopped working indicating error F54 and by consulting the user manual we read that it was necessary to call assistance.
We immediately notified the trader.

To sum up, we immediately notified the dealer and as of today December 23rd we are still waiting for the support service to contact us. Meanwhile we are wondering why we have chosen this type of appliance.

Luckily, we have solved the most important problem by ourselves, but we will certainly always advise against the purchase of ASKO products to all our friends and relatives.

Best Regards

Asko Appliances Dishwasher df1654b

Our first unit displayed an error fault 3 days after installation which was unable to be fixed, so a replacement unit was sent out. This new unit (clearly a refurbished one) came with missing/broken parts as well as water already inside the unit. Since having this new, refurbed dishwasher we have had nothing but issues with it. I have had it repaired by asko twice now attributed to "incorrect instillation", which might I add was installed by asko techs, but can assure you it a dish washer fault resulting in unproperly washed dishes.
No amount of moving the basket, packing and repacking or installing or reinstalling (which might I add has permanently damaged the inside of my kitchen cupboards) changing brands of dish washing tablets/powder or rinse aid has fixed the issue.
Moving forward, the machine is still having the same problem and I feel sending out, yet another tech, to have the problem again arise, is now no longer a reasonable solution, ideally, we would like a refund on the unit.
This is my final attempt to rectify the situation with asko before I officially make a consumer complaint.

Asko Appliances 8844XL washing machine

We bought this machine in 2017, 3 mths out of warranty the machine had a catastrophic fail of the struts holding motor at the time the repairer said he'd never seen anything like it so off it went to get repaired that was six weeks ago multiple phone calls to Asko Who flipped me from Asko to domestic and general who are the insurers and back again I asked for it to be escalated to a manager and that still hasn't taken place after a week on the last phone call I asked for the number of the repairer who took the machine they have no idea so somewhere in Australia is my broken washing machine and in my laundry are mounting pile of clothes we are still looking at six weeks post repair and still no washing machine is to be seen Asko Australia and domestic and general insurers in my opinion are the worst companies I have ever had to deal with there are no answers no care and No idea. ThisMachine had a catastrophic failure In the design of the struts that hold the motor that rotates the drum why not just replace it instead of spending all this money to repair and not returned it is just not good enough

Asko Appliances asko xl dishwasher

Bought an Asko XL integrated dishwasher from Good Guys in castle hill nsw because my sales person Helen was great and convinced me to buy Asko over Bosh. Asko was to install. Since it is an integrated one, my kitchen supplier installed but had issues adjusting the door.
Called Asko customer care, after waiting hours, we got told to YouTube it.

Went and complained to Good Guys, they said they will speak to the Asko rep and fix the issue, they were upset for the treatment and promised Asko will arrange for a service technician

A week later got a call fromAsko customer care, again got told to YouTube or should get a different kitchen supplier. If not happy go back to where I bought it from.

Paid over thousands and this is a customer service I get? Rubbish
The machine hasn't even been used and they treat a customer like this wonder what happens when it breaks down

Asko Appliances service

I refer to purchase order AVS-[protected]. Delivery docket [protected]. I purchased a SS Dishwasher D5436S. On Tuesday 24/09/19 it was installed by technician SOFOLA. He installed the machine on an angle claiming it was because he had to allow for room at the back of the machine for the hose. There is over 600mm of depth to fit the machine. The machine was installed 10mm out of alignment and extremely noticable. I requested via ASKO Australia for the installer to return to rectify, which was arranged for today Thursday 26/09/19. I contacted ASKO Australia today who confirmed the job was booked. I have stayed home ALL DAY waiting for the service technician. I made a follow up call at 4:30pm. ASKO informed me the warehouse based at Loganlea would call me back in 10 minutes to let me know how long the technician would be. Its now 5:30pm. I never received the call. I've since attempted calling ASKO, who have now closed for the day. The warehouse at Loganlea have provided appalling service throughout this process. Considering the amount of money I paid for this machine, this is highly unacceptable. I will be returning this machine tomorrow and requesting a freestanding Bosch as a replacement. I will never purchase ASKO appliances again.

Asko Appliances Company not honouring warranty

I bought a new Asko oven 1 year ago. The product has a 2 year manufacturer's warranty and I bought an additional 3 year extended warranty. The internal glass cracked in several places from the heat and then fractured. The company will not replace it despite there being flaws in the glass.
There have been many complaints about Asko's very poor customer service in Australia https://www.consumeraffairs.com/homeowners/asko.html

Asko Appliances Washer very dependable. I can count on it leaking!

I replaced my 8 year old stainless Asko washer and dryer and bought a $4, 600.00 white washer model w8844 and venting dryer. I immediately had problems with washer. If you consider buying one make sure you install in the garage because it leaks. The door gasket is poorly designed. After you too discover that yours leaks you can depend on the Asko brand that it will leak for the repairman also. After it is repaired I can assure you that it will again leak. If you wash a large load, it will leak worse. So if you consider spending over $4, 609.00 for the set... Make sure to only install in the garage as the are not very good quality but are dependable... To leak.
Miele is a far better brand than Asko! Btw when you call customer service, they will buy the units back or if you choose to keep them, offer you a $400.00 incentive to keep them. I suggest correcting the mistake and sell them back. You will be glad you did!

Asko Appliances NOT BUYING ASKO WASHING MACHINE AGAIN

I rang Asko customer care to send me one of their specialised technicians to see if my Asko dish washing machine was worth fixing as it stopped working. The Asko technician rang me the night before to let me know the approximate time he would be coming, I SPECIFICALLY asked him to ring me and let me know if the dish washer would have been worth fixing. I work full time so my brother was at home and let the Technician into the house. The Technician did not ring me - I did ring home and my brother told me that the Technician was working on the machine. I assumed that the dish washer was worth fixing. My brother paid on my behalf $200.50. I came home and later on when I put the dish washer on it started and after about 4 minutes or so stopped working - total silence. I rang the technician as I still had his mobile phone number on my phone from our previous conversation. I told him the washing machine was not working again if he could please come back. He came back after two days. Again I was at work and my son let him into the house. When I called home to see what was happening the Technician told me that the motor of the dish washer was "gone" - beyond repair... I told him I was not happy at all as I did SPECIFICALLY asked him at the time of the booking that I wanted to know if the machine was worth fixing... He replace the pump and made me waste $205.50! I rang Asko and they sent me a $95.00 loyalty voucher... I have bought another dish washer of a different brand and their voucher is of no use to me and my wallett! I will never buy an ASKO dish washer again, because they lack customer care!

Asko Appliances Never buy an ASKO

This is my first and last ASKO product - My dishwasher is less than 7yrs old, has had 2 repairs costing approx $400.00, has rusty racks, does not clean items in the upper rack very well and the detergent bin has left over detergent sometimes . Also when you slide the bottom rack out, there is not a rack stop which cuases the rack to fall out with dirty dishes all over the floor. My last dishwasher (Kitchen aid - made by Hobart) lasted almost 18yrs and no repairs. I am replacing the ASKO with a Samsung that had great reviews.

Forgot to mention that the dishwasher's pump can on even though the power off button was in the off position. If I was out of town and did not hear this, the pump could have overheated and caused a fire.

Asko Appliances I will never purchase another Asko product

Four years ago I purchased an Asko dishwasher for over $1100.00. In August the circuit board blew out because a part called a dirverter failed and caused the circuit board to get wet. When we had the repair done, we noticed the dirverter had been changed to work better. Asko must have known the part was bad otherwise why did they change it? Anyway the repair cost $553.82 including the break the repair man gave us on the parts. In December the pump started leaking. $292.68 to do the repair and the pump has been on backorder since I called to get it fixed on Dec 26th. I called Asko and asked for some consideration as a four year old dishwasher used by a family of 2 should not be costing over $800.00 in repairs so soon. They offered to send a pump when available, and cover it but no labor, but would not credit the one our repairman scrounged up, as they are still on back order. I had explained the repairman was set to do the repair the next day so they knew he had found a pump somewhere. I was orginally told Asko would call me back but they did not, I had to call a week later then e-mail copies of the bills on the dishwasher, then all comunication has been e-mail. I will never purchase another Asko product.

Asko Appliances Incompetent repairman

I placed an order with Sears for a repairman in Santa Fe NM for my ASKO dishwasher. A guy from A&E Factory service shows up without calling first (Sears bungled my phone number). He looks at the DW and can´t even find the model number. I had to find the manual to show him. He wasn´t sure where to find the serial number either. He was on the phone for almost an hour trying to find out how and whether he could work on an ASKO DW. Did not even try to look at the motor when the problem was evidently related to the circulating pump.
He decided that that as probably the control board (NOT --it worked fine)--a convenient way to determine that he could not fix the problem.

Asko Appliances odors on dishes

I replaced a Kitchenaid dishwasher with an Asko in a remodel. The washer cleans food just fine but leaves a strong odor on the dishes and glasses. It smells like fish! I have run dishwasher magic with no results. I ran 2 cups of distilled vinegar through a cycle (recommended by Asko techs) with no results. I hate this machine.

Asko Appliances quality and service costs

We moved in 2004 and bought all new appliances. The only Asko product we bought was a dishwasher and I am now very thankfull.

We could have bought a few good dishwashers for the price of this one Asko but the sales guy said it was the best and it would be the last dishwasher we'll have to buy.
So far I have spent about $300 to repair it. Then the drawer sliders start Jamming up and they wanted $200 just to come look at it and see what it needed. I decided to look at myself and managed to get the top drawer moving again but not very well as a few of the ball bearings fell out. Then the control panel where you touch the start button ripped so we called and the part was hundreds of dollars and again $200 to come and install it. I put a piece of duct tape on it.

Now the machine stopped working, we called and the repair company diagnosed it over the phone, the pump and some other part are needed and the estimate to repair is around $900 and that doesn’t include the other two problems we have with it. I’m guessing that it’ll cost me well over $1300 to get this 6 year old machine working properly again.
Silly me, when my wife wanted to buy this dishwasher I thought it had a much better warranty. Live and learn, my advice is to stay away from the high end appliances, you can buy 3 or 4 other good quality dishwashers for the price of an Asko and they want the price of a regular dishwasher for almost all repairs. My wife wants me to fix it but I explained to her that we can buy a high end dishwasher for less then the cost of fixing this one. Ironically all the other appliances we bought at the same time are all working well and have had little or no trouble with them . They are LG, Maytag, and GE
The dishwasher at our old house was a few years old when we moved in and it was still working fine when we moved out 7 years latter. It was just regular brand name like Kenmore or Maytag or something like that. The better stuff isnt always better, if Asko is that good they should have a least a 10 year warranty for the money they ask for them.

Asko Appliances Terrible quality

I bought an Asko dishwasher after the Bray and Scraff salesman recommending it highly. The dishwasher turned out to be a total waste of my money. I paid more than $1, 200 for the Asko and after just 2 years. it started giving us endless headaches. We have had 5 service calls and the Bray and Scraff repair technician was unable to fix it in spite of 5 visits. The company's service and sales are both below average. Be very careful buying from Bray and Scarff. I will not purchase any more appliances from them.

I own an Asko dishwasher and one of the drain hoses leaked and sets off the anti=flood protection sensor.
This hose was replaced a total of 4 times since I owned it and the latest frustration is the authorized repair at 140.00 dollars does not even have a simple hose part in stock. Waiting over a week for a part that should be common stock.
I would not recommend an Asko dishwasher simply based on the substandard parts they use for the drain hoses.

Asko Appliances Service and Quality

This company is a joke. I purchased an ASKO front loader washing machine Model W6362 Quattro 1600rpm. I purchase this because of doing research, showed to be the best machine for what I was looking for, looked good, had good features and supposed to be a quality and a durable machine, but came at an expensive price of over $A2000. Hence at this price, thought what I was looking for, would be worth it . Well how wrong was I, the machine does whatever it feels, timing is of its own accord, a cycle that is supposed to be 147 mins can take 2 and a half hours. But ok, not such a major problem, at 1 and a half years old, it stops with a loud bang. Call for service, comes out 5 days later, says its major the motor and the electronics are blown. They have the parts sent, so another day off, because they can only come when they say and not to fit in with you, they say not all the parts have arrived, but will check the parcel next time before coming out as not to inconvenience me. 4 weeks later, and after and polite phone call to the service department the wanker in charge "Steve" miraculously say, oh the part arraived yesterday, it had to be ordered in from overseas "WOW, what a f...king miricle I think, I ring up and suddenly its there" (###) I say why wasn't I told it had to come from over seas, no answer other than things like this happen. He says we will be out on the 06/04/09 to fix it, I say no I am not having more time off I am free on the 02/04/09. Ok he says, obviously to shut me up...then the call arrives on my message service, just checking to see if its ok to come on the 6th, I have the 2nd down here for some reason but will be there on the 6th, please ring back to confirm. So before I ring I am on here to tell everybody who reads this about ASKO products, just stay away, yes they save water, but as for quality it is far from what they say, this machine is not work a quarter of what I paid for it and the service is disgusting from this company, they are complaicent and don't care one bit in the service department. I am lucky to have had two friends who are in the market for a washing machine and have gladly told them this story and guided them away from any ASKO product. To date it is 5 weeks with a broken washing machine, if I could convey how angry I am on here I would. STAY AWAY FROM ASKO PRODUCT.

Please do not buy anything from this company and if you do, make sure you really study the reviews and confirm that the good ones are not fakes. My experience was simply wretched. Every other week my "brand new" dishwasher has been on the fritz and finally my tank sprung a leak (which is the one part that Asko says has a lifetime guarantee) and they would not honor the lifetime guarantee.

I was so shocked and disappointed. I simply couldn't believe it. I have no children, just my husband and myself, so no one has abused the dishwasher. Looking at it, you'd think it was brand new, because I keep it spotless.

But Asko was really generous. They said they would offer me a discount on another Asko dishwasher and my cost would only be about $1, 100.00. Huh?

Asko simply refuses to send me a replacement tank, nor would they back up the "lifetime" guarantee. These people are terrible and I'm complaining everywhere I can about their terrible product and their even more "terribler" ...Customer Service (and I use that term very loosely).

Also bought an ASKO 6362 as my parents had an ASKO for 16 years no problem - best in market. Clearly they do not make them like they used to and we have had nothing but problems. RJK we had the same experience with the motor and service - came out and literally 1 week after the warranty lapsed ONE WEEK the motor blew up and needed to be replaced. On the plus side the tech was actually really nice and logged it as 'in warranty' so we didn't have to pay for the replacement motor but then we had to wait 3 weeks for the new motor and then had to call them 3 times to get them out here. The machine is always stopping mid cycle or not starting and then this morning it was stuck on 25 mins with a few delicates so I switched to drain and hit the start button to empty the water out and the door flew open and about 3 litres of water went all over my floor. WILL NEVER BUY AN ASKO AS LONG AS I LIVE.

I agree - I paid a fortune for an ASKO Dishwasher, Dryer and Washing machine. The Dishwasher is the worst I have ever had, the dishes are NEVER clean and when I complained the technician came out and said we had installed it incorrectly and charged us almost $200 dollars to supposedly fix the problem, and was extremely rude as well. But the dishwasher still doesn't work and we use our old Bosch in the laundry which after 15 years still works a treat.

Asko Appliances poor customer service

I purchased an Asko washer/dryer combo in 2006 3 months after purchase the entire circut board melted. after 2 months of hassle I had the unit replaced. Jan 08 the new unit was continually putting water into the dry cycle. then quit working entirely. After 4 service calls the unit still does not dry.
I was told that 3 to 5 hours to dry 2 pair of jeans is normal (on what planet). The company refuses to send anyone to fix it. I have had 2 of these units in less than 2 years they have both quit working. I would not reccommend this companys product to anyone.

Asko Appliances Poor quality product!

Besides miscellaneous small parts, our dishwasher needed a pump after four years and a control unit—the main circuit board—after eight. The circuit board that failed has been causing fires in the United States, enough fires that Asko have recalled them. However, Asko's North American distributors will not recall them in Canada, although they sell the same models here that they sell there.

Not only will Asko not repair the dishwashers, they charge Canadians nearly twice as much as Americans for the parts. In Canada these cost enough to buy a new dishwasher from Sears with enough money left over to buy dishes to fill it. I sent Asko in Sweden an e-mail describing the situation above. Seven weeks later I received a reply stating only that Asko were forwarding my e-mail to their distributor.

Meanwhile, instead of staring at a broken dishwasher, we asked an American friend to order the parts for us from the distributor, the circuit board plus two other parts that the U.S. distributor told us were part of the recall for our model. One of those parts turned out to be for a different model and the second was superfluous because it was included with the board. The distributor refused to take either of them back. After starting the repair, we found that we also needed two pieces of plastic trim that we bought in Canada for another hundred dollars.

The circuit board came with installation instructions that said to check whether the burned area was near certain components, because this would indicate that some other component had caused the board to fail. The burned area was distant from every component listed, so we installed the new board. Two days later the dishwasher failed again, accompanied by the small of a burning circuit board.
