I gave a 30 day notice to move in May that I would be moving when my lease ended which was July 14. I took pictures of the place and everything was left the same way that I had moved in and I get a collection bill from them for over $2, 000. Our rent was 1500.00 a month and they were holding our deposit of 1515.00 and we were told by other tenants and I also looked up [redacted] online that usually tenants do not get there deposit back so we decided to allow them to keep the deposit which is the same amount of the rent and that would be the end. But they are such liars and I have receipts for paying may and june and they are saying that I did not pay may and june. What I did not pay was July because that was the end of our lease. I think they have gotten away with this to much but what they dont understand is that I have video and pictures of the entire apartment and receipts of payments paid. I need to contact legal help do you know anybody I can contact. I know that there is or was a class action lawsuit against agyros which is the owner for keeping deposits from hispanics and asians that is what the report says.

Potential new Renters Beware when Renting from Arnel Management. Arnel Management is one of the single biggest Aprtment owners in Orange County, owns and operates 19 Apartment Complexes throughout Orange County. When you move out they will use every unscupulous trick to keep your security deposit. They will have thier maintenance departmnent trump up and fabricate work that needs to be done to the apartment when you move out. And they know that most people will not try and fight them and deal with their Army of in house staff, and just cut their losses and walk away from thier Security Deposit. I recently moved out of CASA MADRID in Anaheim and left the aprtment in excellent condition. However, they do not want to give me back none of my $550 security deposit. Using very one sided language in the lease to keep my deposit; however I am going to fight them to get my deposit that is owed to me. NONE THE LESS RENTER PLEASE BEWARE.

I had a same story as yours. My experiences with Heritage Point and Arnel Management Company:
-Noisy complex: It is right by freeway 5. The windows had to slide to shut at night, or I was unable to get sleep. The neighbor made loudly music, talking, laughing and yelling almost every Friday night from about 10pm till next day 3-4am. This made me to stay away from my apartment every Friday night and came back Sunday. There was no use to complain to the office.
-Parking horrible: When everyone is home at night after 7pm or later, no space for the parking.
-Non-safety complex: My sister van’s two tail lights were broken twice during one week by someone either at night or at early morning. I filed two police reports. I spent several hundreds to fix them. The Irvine police department often left messages on my answering machine such as someone’s car window was broken and valuable stuff was stolen by vandalism, or someone left garage door open and lost all stuff inside right by Topeka and so on. The lock of the gate to 99 ranch market shopping center was broken constantly.
-Water bill: Pacific Water and Power (PWP) is not a water utility company. This is a bookkeeping company and likely affiliated with Arnel. I wonder that the monthly bill is fair and reasonable. I might be overcharged. When I quit the lease, they charged me the last month bill even I already paid it in advance.
-Luxury apartment living and cheaper rent? My apartment was an older model with ancient stove and oven in which rusty at the bottom of stove and oven. The cabinets were worn- out at edges. The years old carpet was worn-out at edges and bad smell. Comparing with Irvine Company’s apartment complex, they give you a remodeled apartment including new stove, oven, dishwasher and refrigerator with little more expensive rent, but it is worth.
-Early termination of lease clause: They don’t have “Early termination of lease clause”. Once you break out the lease early, THIS WILL BE A NIGHTMARE TO YOU. Arnel chases you for the rest of months. They are GREEDY AND TRICKY. What they want is your MONEY, MONEY AND MONEY AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. AND YOU HAVE TO HIRE A LAWYER TO FIGHT BACK. IT IS WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.
-Security Deposit Returned? Don’t bother to clean up your apartment at you own expense. Arnel finds the ways to eat all your Security Deposit, once you quit the lease. You got zero dollars back.
-On-Site staffs keep changing: They keep changing about on-site 6 to 7 managers during my residence. They won’t keep whatever they said to you because Arnel won’t authorize them to do so. Initially, the manager wanted to give me a discount of $100/month for 6 months. But when I went to the office and ready to sign the lease, they refused it because their Corp Office (Arnel) won’t take it. They would get fired if I kept asking for it.
Prior to sign a lease with one of Arnel’s complex, please review all the complaints on the websites, or you will get regret. BE SMART AND THINK HARD, if Heritage Point/ Arnel have good reputations, NO ONE NEEDS TO SUBMIT COMPLAINTS TO THE WEBSITES AND ATTORNEY GENERAL OFFICE IN SACRAMENTO.

Arnel will not give a deposit back after giving a notice that I not going to rent with them. 200.00 to hold an apartment with a 72 hour option to opt out, gave them plenty of notice, but one month later, still no check.

Some people actually deserve what they get they mistreat people or buissnes and always try to get what they want. It seems that u have and issue of yourself always wanting your way and not what other want. Treat others like you like to be treated

I must agree with the above comments. I have called numerous times requesting my deposit to be returned to me from Nassasia and she resfuses to return my phone calls. She left me with no other choice; I had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

I'd like to file a complaint too. I spoke to Natassia from the main office and she lied and said she reviewed my letter I wrote about the complaint I had during my time at Pheasant Ridge Rowland Heights.

Just do not want this business to get away with what they are doing. I'TS JUST WRONG!
