MCSS Tactical CEO

Why would an Officer in the Service run her business the way she does. There are so many complaints from US Soldiers with this company yet she does not respond to them. As you can see by the link she is proud to be a CEO but when it comes to the way her business is run, thats a different story.

Carmine L Annunziata is now using the name Luciano Benandanti and he's got a new scam in the Tampa FL area. Maria L Garcia was victimized by this creep and has died. After her death he fraudulently lister her obituary and gravesite as Maria Annunziata but they were never married! It's another part of Carmines scams. Be on the lookout for this predator now living and trolling Tampa FL in gay hotspots such as the Honey Pot in Tampa FL. Annunziata using the alias Luciano Benandanti has been seen in the company of a blonde transvestite and has been seen driving Maria's white BMW. Marias house in Whiting NJ that Carmine hijacked after her death has been forclosed on. Carmine is claiming to be running a Wiccan church and cleans to be a spiritual leader calling himself Luciano Benandanti. If this criminal attempts to enter your home or get you alone, do not trust this predator! Be safe and report any of his activities immediately to authoritiesASAP!

It's not slander if it's the truth. Armed Forces MCSS provides poor customer service. They advertise false information on their webpages about their products such as "In stock Ready to Ship". Gee, I ordered my in-stock ready to ship item in March and it's still not here. Maybe Keith Zapata is still looking for it on the shipping floor.

Cpt. Maria Garcia has passed away. The disgusting mental case who took advantage of her Carmine L Annunziata is scamming soldiers at JBUEC 527 Sykesville Rd. Wrightstown, NJ. This faker wore the uniform of a Army Maj. and he never served one day in the military.

MCSS Tactical Story in Army Times about Armed Forces MCSS and their Dealings with Soldiers

Troops blast online uniform retailer

Sometimes the online store that seems to have just what you’re looking for isn’t what it seems.

Several otherwise savvy service members — among them a major and a master sergeant — say they learned that lesson recently after trying to purchase uniform items from the private company Armed Forces Military Clothing Sales Store of Jamaica, N.Y.

Many say the company simply does not respond to complaints about late or undelivered orders.

Despite its official-sounding name, the company, also known as Armed Forces MCSS, is not part of the government.

Air Force Maj. Dwight Minnick is among the dissatisfied customers. He said he ordered $457 in uniform items in early March and was told they were in stock and could be delivered by April 1.

When he hadn’t received his order by April 9, he called to cancel and, he said, was told that could only be done online. However, when he tried, the system failed to cancel the order. So he canceled the charge with his credit card company instead.

The uniforms eventually arrived, he said — the week of May 5, more than a month late, while Minnick was on temporary duty. Shortly after he called FedEx on May 14 to find out how to return them, however, he received a call from Armed Forces MCSS.

“He threatened to call 911 and have me arrested, ” Minnick said, adding that the employee would not give his name. “He told me there was a $10, 000 fine. He said he had done this to two other people, but he wouldn’t give me any other information.”

Minnick said he complained to his base inspector general, who has since briefed other airmen at Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D., about the company.

“I’m concerned about the young airman or soldier who gives in to these bullying tactics, ” he said.

Leslie Fields, chief financial officer at Armed Forces MCSS, acknowledged problems.

“We do have some dissatisfied customers, ” he said. “I send out our sincerest apologies to these people.”

He acknowledged “bad attitudes” in customer service, and promised: “I intend to fix the problems.”

He said anyone with complaints should e-mail him directly at leslie.[protected]@armedforcesmcss.us, or call him at [protected].

He also said he had thousands of satisfied customers and that his company is pursuing legal action against nine people whom he says accepted orders and then canceled payment through their credit card companies.

Comments from interviews with service members and postings on the consumer bulletin board http://www.complaintsboard.com allege the company threatened to file IG complaints and take legal action against service members who tried to cancel orders.

Most complaints are from airmen because of the Air Force’s new airman battle uniform, which has been in short supply everywhere. Fields said the company has been working closely with vendors to try to get the uniforms they need in stock.

Missouri Air National Guard Master Sgt. Miles Spainhower said he used his credit card to place a $275 order with Armed Forces MCSS. He said he never received it and got only $225 back when he canceled the order.

He filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, which forwarded it to the company for response. Spainhower said Armed Forces MCSS mailed him back a copy of his complaint, with no response — but addressed the envelope to “Miles ‘Crybaby’ Spainhower.” Fields said he is looking into that.

The New York Better Business Bureau has rated Armed Forces MCSS as “unsatisfactory” for its complaint response record, said Tony Barbera, manager of the New York BBB’s information and investigations department.

According to the BBB’s online report at http://www.cbbb.org, 26 complaints were filed against the company in the past year; it failed to respond to 21.

Fields said his company ceased working with the New York BBB after it refused to remove what Fields called “erroneous” information from its Web site. He said his company has filed a complaint about the BBB with the New York attorney general.

Here are some things to consider when buying online:

• Check out the company through the Better Business Bureau, http://www.cbbb.org.

• Buy with a credit card; you have more protections.

• Check the terms and conditions before buying. Unless you agree to a longer time frame, the company must ship within 30 days, or you have the right to cancel, according to the Federal Trade Commission.

• If you have concerns about a company, contact your base legal assistance office.

"I want to publicly thank the personnel at Armed Forces MCSS for their utmost professionalism and skill in dealing with my multiple orders and several in store visits.
I have already recommended your establishment to several Marines in my unit and my personal life. Keep up this level of customer service and I am sure you will obtain hundreds more of life long customers such as myself.
Thank You!

The service is just that, actual service. I have found the staff to both be informative and reasonable.
My shopping experience has been more than that of the typical retailer and consumer. It was personal.
The selection, prices, and sales/ discounts make it a wholistic shopping experience."

"I have recently had a the great opportunity to meet with the staff at this MCSS.
While in New York I made sure to stop by and check out this store. My brigade has done business with them and I receive newsletters that talks about how comprehensive they are to the wants and needs of service members.
Well, let me tell you something, the staff at this location was five stars. Anything that I have seen in the papers or heard the buzz about, they had it! All the newest googles, ballistic sunglasses, bags, boots, gear, ptw weapons, and so much more.
They had the new flame ###ant clothing and a wide selection of optics for my weapon.
When I first walked in, ( I had to show my military I.D. to enter) I knew I was in soldiers heaven. WOW. This place has everything and more!
Take my advice, Armed Forces MCSS is the greatest store I have ever been to. I plan to keep shopping with them on their online catalog.
Thanks for the good work and support. William Anthony, CSM"
From: William Anthony of Glencoe, IL

CPT Garcia, who is the CEO of this company runs a tight ship. All staff are of the highest integrity and concern.
There seems to be junior and senior NCO's that voice abrasive comments concerning this contractor to the United States Federal Government.
Why it is that individuals would want to create false and libel statments as servicmembers and not be supportive of fellow servicemembers?
Once again, some people would rather be part of the problem than part of the solution! I have never had any problems with the Armed Forces MCSS.
You have my word as a Comissioned Officer. "

They have everything you need. My Belleville boots are fantastic and I am so proud to wear this uniform. Feels good to be in the Air Force.
Great service and great personnel over there.
In case you need the info, it's www.armedforcesmcss.us "
From: TSgt D. Davis of Tampa, FL

"This store has a wonderfull service. I'm currently station at Fort Benning G.A, and any time I need some of the best gear,
These people has it right at their store. I could call them at any time and within 3-5 days my gear gets to me without any problem.
This store has the flexibility that allows me to shop online and have my gear rigth when I need it. Thanks guys for all your support.
Keep up the good work and keep supplying our american heros with the best equipment ever. Hooah"
From: John Adams of Augusta, GA

Those of you who think this store is bad or a rip off or whatever you think are either to cheap to even be in NY or some kind of supply freaks.
The store has knowledgeable staff and always top quality products and if you can't find it there you can ask them to order it for you.
I shop a lot online from big supply dealers and find it a very unpleasant experience... You get your products late or broken or just the complete wrong product.
What the crap! When you need a product now for an upcoming mission, You need the Armed Forces MCSS."
From: Alam Jamal of Ozone Park, NY

My recent visit to your store and I must say I really enjoy my shopping experience.
You made me feel welcomed and treated me like a human being and not just a customer. Since I am in the Air Force I am recommending your store to alot of my Air Force personnel to shop at your store.
Especially when you get the new ABU's in. Keep up the good work!"
From: SrA. Trotman of Riverdale, MD

They have all the stuff you need and want. I am happy to shop there."
From: Cliff of New York, NY

"This place is fantastic. Not your regular post store. You can find all the new items you want.
And to boot, they even have tailoring and dry cleaning services. I'm glad that they are there. Keep on rolling armed forces mcss!"
From: Darnell of New York, NY

I would like to congratulate the mcss in jamaica for a fine job. I have only twice(and on post) seen any clothing sales store like this. There's excellent service and knowledge with px pricing.
I also like the fact that civis are not allowed to shop there. Keep up the good work."
From: George of Brooklyn, NY

I ordered a pair of belleville boots and a spec-ops over amor vest and received both items within 3 days.
Their prices were less than the rest of those guys. When i'm in NYC I plan to visit this clothing sales store.
I also read the newsletter and applaud the staff.
FYI for the bosses- there's a jerk posting bad info on your store. I checked the dla site before I bought from you and I know your legite.
Keep up the good work and thank you. "
From: David of Dayton, OH

I have been to about 12 different states and 7 countries worldwide and i have not seen one store like this.
NOT EVEN ON BASE! they have more stuff here than most MCSS on base. i live here in NY so it's easy for me to get there and i don't have to worry about the 2 hour drive to get to hamilton.
i see the other 2 people agree with me on this =]... i was just there on friday and these guys are AHEAD OF THE GAME with the new air force boot, the CAG 1 gloves by wiley x, but those r just a couple of things that stuck in my mind... these guys know everything about everything in their store. theyre professionals.
It just feels nice to be around people that are just like me. need i say more? oh and i read the complaint reports from complaintsboard and my3cents... it's from all the same guy... some sergeant over in OHIO (who's never been there, by the way) got his panties in a bun, so to speak... dont even listen to em"

The operator of a private-sector business that sold uniform items to service members has been arrested in New Jersey on fugitive warrants from Florida, federal officials said.

Carmine Annunziata, who operated Armed Forces Military Clothing Sales Store (Armed Forces MCSS) in Jamaica, N.Y., before moving his store to New Jersey near Joint Base Dix-McGuire-Lakehurst, was arrested at his home early on Jan. 18, said Inspector Robert Kurtz, of the U.S. Marshals Service New York-New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force.

At the time of the arrest, officials seized two Army uniforms belonging to Annunziata, Kurtz said. “We’re in the information-gathering stage of looking into whether he impersonated an Army major, ” Kurtz said, noting that law enforcement officials have confirmed with the Army that Annunziata has never been in the military. One picture of him in an Army uniform shows an “Annunziata” name plate and MP arm patch.

Annunziata was arrested on charges of violating probation in Volusia County, Fla., on a prior conviction for stolen property and theft, and violating probation in Orange County, Fla., on a prior larceny conviction, according to Kurtz. Annunziata is under house arrest and the process has begun to have him extradited to Florida, Kurtz said.

Kurtz confirmed that Annunziata is a former owner and operator of the Armed Forces MCSS store in New York that has now relocated to New Jersey. Both stores were commercial enterprises and not connected with the Defense Department, although they give the appearance of being connected to the military. At the Joint Base Uniform & Equipment Center store in New Jersey, large replicas of the service branches’ seals are displayed in the windows, along with a sign reading “Force Protection Condition 100% ID Checks.”

Annunziata did not return calls for comment.

A number of service members have contacted Military Times about Armed Forces MCSS beginning in 2008, complaining that the company processed their payments but didn’t send the items they ordered and refused to provide refunds. Some troops reported receiving threatening calls from Armed Forces MCSS employees. In May 2008, the New York Better Business Bureau had 26 complaints listed about Armed Forces MCSS, and the BBB rated the business “unsatisfactory” for its complaint response record.

Kurtz said the U.S. Marshals Service is not investigating allegations related to Armed Forces MCSS sales to service members, but added: “I believe he’s a danger to society and to any service member who walks into his store with a credit card in his hand.”

That's good news about the owner. Hopefully they get his sidekick/co-owner/co-conspirator/wife too.

I bought a "pre-shaved, pre-shaped" beret for $30. Six weeks later it arrived...after someone in England had used my card. I can't prove it was "mcss, " but I suspect it was their order site wasn't secure.

Anyway, what I received was a Kingform beret that goes for $15 at any other surplus store. It was pre-shaved/shaped, but not well. It looks like crap...and I never wear it. Thank God we don't have to wear it too often anymore.

Owner of Armed Forces MCSS / JBUEC has been arrested and taken into custody by FBI and Federal Marshals. He was captured on 1.18.12 early morning raid at their home at 1940 Brooklyn Ave. Whiting NJ. Annunziata was with Maria Garcia. Maria should be arrested also. she has been protecting the fugitive and going around with him in a US Majors outfit. and Annunziata has never served one day in the military.

They are SCAM Artists and the owner from research on the website armedforcesmcss.us is Carmine Annuziata who is a Major in the reserves. There is also a Capt who is part of this company who is a reservist I believe. They seem to be blowing alot of smoke. This Company needs to be reported to the JAG Corp. by everyone who has been ripped of by them. Obviously they are if they are threatening to report them to your Command. They use that tactic to try and scare someone, since they think they know the ins and outs of the Military System. SKAM ARTISTS WHO RIP OF THE MILITARY! THEY SHOULD BE IN LEAVENWORTH.
463 days ago by Samson [send email] 0 Votes
They are SMAMMER Reservists that run the Place. The owner is a Reserve Major Carmine Annuzita from research on their website and the Web. Another is a Captain. They need to be reported to JAG. THIS IS TOTALLY UNETHICAL Especially when they are trying to report you to your Command, they are blowing smoke screens to try to get you to stop pushing the issues. SEE JAG IMMEDIATELY! They should be in Leavensworth for this, not SCAMMING Soldiers.

They are SCAMMERS. The place is run by a few Reserve Officers by Research on this Place. One is a MAJOR carmine annuziata and the other is a Captain. Thats how they know to try and report you to your Commander. This Place needs to be reported to JAG. Especially when they try and blow a smokescreen or threaten Soldiers. This place is run by nothing but SCAM Artists trying to make a quick buck off a Soldier.

This place is run by a bunch of scam artist Reserve Officers. Their names can be found on godaddy.com under the web address armenforcesmcss.com. That is why they think they can report you to your chain of command. They cannot do that and it is unethical for any member of the armed forces to do that. Yes they are very shady and advertise they have items when indeed they do not. Report them to JAG corp. They are a bunch of SCAM Artists who like to take advantage of Military Members.

Its ran by a Reserve Major and Captain stationed in NY. Yes this place will scam you as they have done many before.
458 days ago by Joseph H [send email] 0 Votes
This place is a private business ran by a Major and Captain in the Reserves in New York. These scoundrels need to be reported to JAG in Hamilton NY. These practices should not be tolerated especially when they are in the military trying to steal from honest hard working Soldiers.

What this company does is criminal, they should all be fined and probably arrested. At least investigated by the OSI as a minimum. But what can you expect from the military. Think the JAG and OSI would investigate people ripping off servicemembers? Heck no, they would investigate the servicmember at the first accusation of impropriety false or otherwise. But they won't lift a finger to help you the servicemember at all. Either way Armed Forces MCSS are a bunch of crooks. Yes, thiefs and crooks. Stay away from this rip off company. I ordered ABUs a month ago and still have not received the uniform.

Seems like their reputation is growing and its not a good one. They have 17 Compaints with the BBB. They can also be reported to the postal service since this also seems to be mail fraud. I guarantee the Postal Service will investigate since they seem to provide false documents. The only way to get a business like this to stop is to report them to the proper authorities.

They should use the Motto "Proudly Stealing from American Soldiers" on their website. What a bunch of dupes. Thanks for the heads up on this place.

I wish I would have found this forum before I ordered the ABU gortex from this company. I called and was told it was in stock back in Nov 07. My credit card was charged in Dec 07. Here it is now the middle of March and I still have not received my jacekt. I placed numerous calls and emails and all I hear is that my item will ship shortly. I was even told that I had disputed my order, which I have never done. Then Brian Williams tried to threaten me and report me to the IG and the provost marshall (LOL). Forget about dealing with Brian Williams or any of the other minions who work for this piss poor company. I am probably out $325.00. Tell your friends to stay away from this company as all it will lead to is a lighter wallet. I sent the BBB a complaint last night. I have also passed on to the members of my base to stay clear of this company as well.

I must say, this is the first NY company that has gotten away with this ### with me. I've had past experiences with bate and switch NY/NJ companies and learned after once bitten they are pretty much all the same. I'm a contractor and have supplied our hard working Soldiers that represent us unlike these DIRTBAGS. They are liars, scammers, thiefs. I'm guessing I'm out almost 900 dollars. I was told back in FEBRUARY when my card was charged that we would be receiving the 4 NEW APECS in mid march. Well mind you.. it's only been two weeks now that it's April 1st. BUT after all my phone calls, emails and yes to even the RETIRED Maj Carmine whatever his last name is- no answers no responses. Same old crap as everyone in the previous posts. Its the same song and dance.. "will be shipping shortly". I was even told that he "KEITH" went down to shipping.. they probably don't even have a "shipping" department! They probably work out of a basement of a falling down brick building like all the other NY scamm shops! I'm so disgusted and actually really irritated that I ordered these through these THIEFS/CROOKS and not Propper like I was going to. But my guys were cold in the contracting office that I work for and I searched high and low trying to find the NEW APECS- not the defected ones that were generated, the reason for the back up on the APECS. Now how do I tell my guys I was scammed and they probably won't get the jackets while deployed. Unfortunately for MCSS it HAS NOT BEEN 90 DAYS YET. Our bank will hopefully reverse the charges! I'll show them the BBB website and this complaint board. I do not like thiefs, liars, or scam artists especially when my company lives to help our Soldiers stateside and Overseas!

My last phone call tonight was at 5:50 and Keith answered the "ordering line" as always and had the audacity to tell me he has no information and everyone is getting ready to walk out because it was 10 to 5! The NERVE! Thank God, I do not live in NY or anywhere even remotely close. I am going to contact one of my contractors that used to be deployed to the same contracting office and he lives in NY! OFF TO THE BBB...

MCSS Tactical Customer Service

I agree with everyone else the customer services with this company is ridiculous. It seems as if they have dedicated there website to complaining about complaintsboard.com instead of actually addressing there own problems. If these were false complaints why has there been 40 complaints in the last year with the BBB? They almost never respond to e-mails, no return phone calls, and don't even abide by their own policies. My client ordered an item in January and they didn't even bother to ship it untile clost to the end of May. All they did was send an e-mail stating that backordered item would be shipped w/in 90 days or refund given. 120 days later they ship the item its returned back to them and Armed Forces refuses to give a refund just "in store" credit, as if that is what someone who waited 4 months for an item to be shipped really wants. Since when was it against the law to have an opinion about a company that refuses to help. This is not a fake complaint but will hopefully help others from making the mistake of buying from this merchant.

MCSS Tactical Armed Forces MCSS...DOT CON

Earlier this year I contacted Armed Forces MCSS to inquire about the availability of some hard to find military items. Their customer service responded that the merchandise was “on the floor and ready to ship.”

At that point AAFES and every commercial provider were out of stock. There were pictures of the CEO all over the website, Captain Maria Garcia. When I dug a little deeper I found out that the entire staff had some type of military affiliation.

Leaning towards the side of caution, I Googled Armed Forces MCSS to see what came up. The first three hits were their main website, Merchant Circle and Complaints Board. I thoroughly read through them all, and because of two factors – merchandise availability and military affiliation – I placed an order.

And what a mistake that was.

When the merchandise arrived MOST of the goods were backordered. What wasn’t backordered was switched out for inferior goods.

For weeks I tried to resolve the issue by calling and emailing. When I called I was referred back to their online customer service because I had “already started that process.” So I sent emails, and I sent emails, and I sent MORE emails. No customer service response.

Finally after jacking with them for a couple of weeks I called them and told them I would pay for the correct merchandise. I wanted a return authorization for the crap they switched out. I would not accept any more shipments from them.

So what happened next? THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE THREATENED ME! It was at this point I realized that EVERYTHING EVER posted about this company in a negative light was true.

I was beside myself thinking that a company, owned and operated with fellow service members, could have such low integrity.

So this is where it gets interesting. I did a little research to try and figure out what in the heck was going on with this company.

Come to find out, Armed Forces MCSS has THE WORST small business credit rating available! Armed Forces MCSS’s credit score is a class 5 and degrading! And according to Dun & Bradstreet a class 5 small business credit score has the HIGHEST probability of delinquency!

No wonder they don’t deliver?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

THEY'RE JUST KEEPING THE MONEY!

So this is what Armed Forces MCSS does is CLEARLY deceit by design:

1) Bait you in the store by acknowledging goods are “in stock and ready to ship” when in fact they are not.

2) Immediately charges your credit card.

3) IF they ship out ANYTHING it is switched out with an inferior item.

4) Backorder your goods 90 days KNOWING that once your charge hits the 60 day mark YOU CAN’T DISPUTE THE PAYMENT.

So go bankrupt Armed Forces MCSS.

Go bankrupt and quit stealing from the troops that so unselfishly fight for the freedom of every American. Even the freedom you enjoy.

Read this armed forces mcss and explain this one to the people. This was posted in the Army Times. Are you trying to say this is a lie also? Hmmmmm lets think about this. Are you going to sue the Army Times also? Thieves always get caught

He said anyone with complaints should e-mail him directly at leslie.fields@armedforcesmcss.us, or call him at [protected].

Take my advice, Armed Forces MCSS is the greatest store I have ever been to. I plan to keep shopping with them on their online catalog.
Thanks for the good work and support. William Anthony, CSM"

Funny - even the testimonials are listed as complaints. The person that created this post is NEAR genius.

Now, when the CFO was interviewed by the Military Times he was quoted saying “he had thousands of satisfied customers.”

Why then would he only post 17 testimonials?

That point aside – I queried the names. Amazingly enough – all but 1 came back with no match!

So I called the 1 match and asked about their experience and overall satisfaction rating.

This individual said that he would not recommend this company, he would not do business with them again and he rated is overall experience as completely dissatisfied.

It came down to some really, really old man in glasses and a sweater lying to him.

Which by definition makes that person a liar.

MCSS Tactical Crooks

Soldiers beware before ordering from Armed Forces MCSS.

They will say anything to get your money. They are LIARS and CHEATS. Check the BBB before ordering from them. Read the complaints against them, because if you order from them chances are yours will be the next complaint. Maybe you will be one of the few that does get what you order. Are you willing to take that chance?

BUYER BEWARE!

The word business has very many meanings.

Business can be defined as: A legally recognized organizational entity designed to provide goods and/or services to consumers.

However, since Armed Forces MCSS does not provide ANY goods or services, the alernative meaning applies:

Business - The term for a group of ferrets.

Armed Forces MCSS business model is clearly based upon deceit by design.

They blatantly steal from their customers. Funny, their customer service liaison stated “we have thousands of satisfied customers”, when they only reported $150, 000 worth of gross income and 2 employees. So therefore to have “thousands” of satisfied customers their average sale would have to be $75 (= $150, 000 / 2, 000).

In reality, what would there average sale be? If uniforms are needed, would it be a hat? A coat? Pants? A Gore-Tex jacket? A pair of boots? Or an entire set of uniforms?

Most realistically it would be a Gore-Tex coat, a pair of boots or an entire set of uniforms. If that is the case then the range per individual purchase is $60 to $1, 000. That being said, then the average purchase is $530, which equals 282 customers.

Now, if that has been their average customer base since the company’s inception that would be a total of 1, 692 total customers. That still doesn’t equal “thousands” of customers.

Seriously, I would be interested in hearing from one legitimate customer that was completely satisfied by this company’s products or service - because there ain’t one.

Remember thier business model – deceit by design.

MCSS Tactical Terrible experience

There are no authorized or certified sources for commercial Army Combat Uniforms (ACU) made to the official "specification". The only authorized specification compliant ACUs are produced for Government Contracts. At this point, if a Soldier wasn't issued an ACU by the Army, then it isn't specification compliant, since no authorized commercial sales have been made. After 1 Jan 06, AAFES Military Clothing Sales Stores will be the only stores authorized to sell specification compliant ACUs.

Each uniform that is issued by the Army or sold through AAFES should have two tags. One near the collar that tells the size and a second one located somewhere else on the uniform that specifies a government contract number (along with an National Stock Number -NSN) and care instructions. AAFES is the only commercial source that is authorized by the Army to sell ACUs procured under Government contract, that comply with the specification. Valid ACU Government contract numbers either start with SPO (awarded by the Defense Logistics Agency/Defense Supply Center Philadelphia) or with W911QY (awarded by the contracting office at Natick, MA on behalf of the Product Manager - Clothing and Individual Equipment).

The U.S. Government cannot certify the authenticity of the ACUs Soldiers may be procuring on their own. Nor has there been any guidance from HQDA that precludes a Soldier from buying a "Knock-off" ACU, other than the requirement in AR 670-1 that Soldiers wear specification compliant uniforms. A Soldier thinking about buying an ACU from a source other than AAFES should consider the following:

The uniform may not meet appearance standards and specifications per the AR for wear and appearance. The uniform may not meet durability and wear specifications (ie, seams may fail, color may fade, material may not be constructed properly leading to tearing, ripping, or development of holes). Since there is no contract number in the "Knock-off ACU", the Army (or AAFES) is not obligated to sustain or exchange a defective uniform (Uniform warranty is VOID). The Soldier is spending his own money to purchase a uniform he will probably get at no cost if or when deployed.

The saga continues...

This is my second time posting to this board. Please see my first post by G. Robinson. I finally received a FedEx box from Armed Forces MCSS, 70 days after my initial order. After losing two disputes with my credit card company, (due to MCSS misrepresenting their actions), 4 unreplied emails to Mr. B. Williams to cancel my order. One unreplied to email requesting a return merchandise authorization. When I finally opened the FedEx box, the item ordered was not in the box. I ordered an Air Force ABU Gortex jacket and receive what looked to be a brown under liner garment. I could only stand there and laugh! To other "victims" on this board, if you aren't aware... after 90 days from the date of purchase, your credit card companies will no longer petition on your behalf. If you are experiencing issues with items you have ordered from MCSS, please do not wait to address to your credit card company. I will be pursuing this issue with the JAG to see if I can have this company placed on the "no contact list", will contact to the BBB in NY and contemplating some other legal avenues. No other axe to grind... other than the $325 that I’m out at this point. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Report them to the Better Business Bureau, If there are enough complaints maybe people will quit getting scammed by them. Our Armed Forces should not be treated this way.

REPORT THEM! This kind of business practices need to stop.

90 days ago by Evan Watkins [send email].

I had a similar problem; ordered APECS jacket in Nov 07 because they were the only ones reporting "in stock". I am military and was willing to pay twice the standard cost $325 instead of $173 because we NEEDED it NOW. But then after about a week I called for a status... "it's coming". Then a week later "it's on the shipping floor and will be sent soon". Then another week later same thing. A few days later I spoke w/ the operations manager who basically cussed me out because I wanted my jacket "when I wanted it"... at this point I filed a complaint w/ the BBB of NY and canceled my order thru my bank. BBB emailed me a note a few weeks later saying that the situation was not covered... They recently rebutted my claim, but they sent info for 2 other people and their purchases plus a letter they claimed to have sent to me. Liars, cheats... they are.

Customer ExperienceBack To Top Based on BBB files, this business has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau because it failed to respond to one or more complaints. The company's size, volume of business, and number of transactions may have a bearing on the number of complaints received by the BBB. The number of complaints filed against a company may not be as important as the type of complaints, and how the company handled them. This place is a RIPOFF. This business is run by a couple of reservist Officers that like Ripping Military members off. Once you complain then they try to threaten to report you through your chain of command. These people (SO CALL OFFICERS) are very unethical. They are SCAM ARTISTS and SHOULD BE REPORTED!

72 days ago by Sammy [send email].

Seems like they do alot of Spamming on the internet also to cover their tracks. Who is this CSR SGT Zapata that does those ###ed advertisements on AOL Video for Armedforcesmcss? This place seems to be run by a bunch of 3rd graders. And yes this place is run by a bunch of reservists. Checking their website, you can tell because they charge over $20.00 to ship some nametapes to you.

They should be put in jail for ripping off our soldiers who are fighting for our country. Especially if they are in the armed forces themselves and using their rank or power to do it.

68 days ago by Marty_v [send email].

According to the administrators for the website and a little research below is the information for contact. And yes they are reservists that run or own Armedforcesmcss as a private business. These crooks need to be reported to the nearest JAG or military installation in New York. This can also be verified with a myspace add showing a Major Carmine Annunziata. The other I believe is a Captain.

They do sound very deceptive. Why are people allowed to get away with this?

62 days ago by Joseph_p [send email].

These guys seem like scammers. They also use the internet to Spam alot. This should give you the first indication that this place is not on the legit side. Another indication is their outrageous shipping charges. For example to order a rank insignia it would cost you $22.11 to ship a $3.99 item. From all the negative postings they sure seem like scam artists and prey on the military. Continue to report them because they will wind up in jail sooner or later, Hopefully Sooner.

I can not believe the malicious attacks toward fellow service members that are Commissioned Officers! You all should be ashamed of yourselves. If you really did some research, you would notice that this Company is a Contractor for DoD, Recruiting Sub-Station and the corporate officers are military.

I am ashamed of to be associated in the same branch of service as most of the people writing these complaints. I have never in four years had a problem with this company, the Armed Forces MCSS! Learn to voice your uneducated opinions on the chalkboard.

42 days ago by Laura Williams/government Cont [send email].

They are liars, scammers, thief's. I'm guessing I'm out almost 900 dollars. I was told back in FEBRUARY when my card was charged that we would be receiving the 4 NEW APECS in mid march. Well mind you... it's only been two weeks now that it's April 1st. BUT after all my phone calls, emails and yes to even the RETIRED Maj Carmine whatever his last name is- no answers no responses. Same old crap as everyone in the previous posts. Its the same song and dance... "will be shipping shortly". I was even told that he "KEITH" went down to shipping.. they probably don't even have a "shipping" department! They probably work out of a basement of a falling down brick building like all the other NY scam shops! I'm so disgusted and actually really irritated that I ordered these through these THIEF'S/CROOKS and not Propper like I was going to. I do not like thief's, liars, or scam artists especially when my company lives to help our Soldiers stateside and Overseas!

42 days ago by Edith [send email].

They have 20 complaints on the BBB site... and they are not even a member, I wonder why... Well with a business like this the best thing to do is to report them and make people aware who they are dealing with. It will catch up to them sooner or later.

This place must be run by a bunch of XXX... 25 Complaints to the better business bureau in the past 12 months with 21 of them with no reply to the consumer. 37 Total complaints. WHY DO YOU PEOPLE KEEP ON ORDERING FROM THEM! 17 COMPLAINTS IN 18 DAYS. Management needs to fire some people there...Crooks don't fire Crooks. See for yourself, I made it simple and provided you with a link http://search.newyork.bbb.org/reports.aspx?pid=44&page=1&id=83693

19 days ago by Frustrated_shopper [send email].

I ordered an APEX jacket and when I placed the order they stated 9 to 20 business days. It hasn't arrived and it's been a month and a half. When I email and said I wanted to cancel my order they said it was denied since it wasn't within 48 hours of placing my order. They keep saying it's on the shipping floor. Their shipping floor is probably someone's dining room table. If you read last weeks Air Force times someone wrote in a comment about AAFES and MCSS not being able to support the ABU demand. If I do not get my jacket in 90 days I'm going to the BBB for help.

You know, my heart is bleeding for the persons who were ripped off by this man and woman. This man was never a member of the Arm Services. All the years I knew this man, he has been selling bagels...and I am going back as far as 20yrs ago. He even use to have Capt Garcia, walking with him selling bagels. She was a nurse at the time, has been a nurse for a number of years. She will get off from work in the mornings and join him. He started selling knock-off military uniforms in the flea market in NY, then he went to Gertz Mall in Jamaica Ave, then he moved directly opposite into the old recruiting center. It was sometime at Gertz mall that Maria enlisted in the military as a nurse. Her status is legit in respect to the military, but Carmine was never a member of the military. He use physically assault Maria. When she first met him, she was with her two young kids. He did not want them around, so she sent them to live with relatives, and shortly after she met him, she got a beating, she went to work at all black and blue. What bothers me the most, is this man has been taking pictures in military uniform with the rank of Major, with legit military officers. If this man is really a fugitive, why wasn't he arrested a long to before. this man is like hiding in plain site. Now Capt Garcia is dead (God rest her soul) and there are a lot of speculations surrounding her death. Her body was lying there for viewing and he was enquiring from her co-workers from a hospital about life insurance. And at the viewing, he did not allow her children relative or parents to be there..I hope that if this animal is really wanted, that he goes to jail for a long time.
