AMPM.com full cup of ice

I see changes have be made when it comes to purshasing a cup with just ice, too my surprise i had to pay full price. And if that wasnt enough i learn at the next stop at in arco ampm to get more ice with my cup of ice i had already purphase i was told i had to paid full price again for just ice...what a sad situtation for a customer to come in and paid for price just for ice. I use to work as a manager for arco, and the customer were the most important thing to me, and i knew they were the ones that would bring profit and a smile with happiness to the store knowing someone did something for them other than just rob them of money.

AMPM.com equiptment not working or available

The parent company needs to know that they are not well represented at the above gas station. This station frequently has broken gas pumps, no rest room available, cash kiosk out of order and customer must go inside and ask clerk for paper towels and a squeegee to clean their own windows. Not a friendly business anymore. This station used to be well run and easy in and out — not any more. Of course after today's bad experience my family will not purchase anything from this station again! Pass this message on to the customer department. They need to know.

AMPM.com won't honor posted price

I tried to purchase a pack of Marlboro cigarettes at the price they had posted on 2 signs above the display. The store clerk told me that was an old price and ripped down the sign...the other sign was still there. I told him that by law he was supposed to honor the price posted. He then ignored me and helped another customer. I waited, and repeated that I wanted them at the price posted, and pointed out the other sign still there. He ripped that down also. He told me he wasn't going to sell them for the price posted and tried to ring them up at another price. He said he doesn't know anything about the law... he also doesn't know anything about good customer service and suspect he doesn't care. I told him that I was going to make a complaint.

AMPM.com verbal abusive manager

Hello. I was a employee for Sammy Venture (AMPM) for a little over a year. My manager Susan Subia has been one of the worst bosses I have ever worked for. An old employee left a bucket of gas by my register and I got sick and I got in trouble. She made rules just for me but no one else. She has yelled at me telling me I am a bad person a bad mother when I was asking a coworker what do to about my sons behavior. And in front of customers mind you. She has be littled me many many times. Asked me to quit when I found a second job and I told her for about a week and a half that he was making up my schedule and I would be quitting. Yesterday when I walked in to quit she rips the shirt out of my hand and starts yelling shes a sorry person over and over. My son was with me and walked over to say goodbye (he is 5 he doesnt know any better) and she told him I feel sorry for you, your mother is worthless. I called the owner and he said we deserved it. How does a 5 year old deserve that? Where and what can I do to fix this problem? I want something done but I dont know where to go. Any Ideas?

Wednesday night May 18th around 11:20, I stoped by arco at Pump # 2 to fill my tank with $10 worth of unleaded plus gas. I approached quick pay station # 1, which was directly behind pump # 2 and I was prompted by the quick pay station to enter my pump #, to which I entered # 2 the Station then prompted me to insert $10 into the slot which I did, the Station then gave me my $10 bill back due to the reason that it wasn't reading the bill. I figured it was folded so I tried to flatten the $10 bill as much as I could, then I inserted the bill back into the quick pay station. then I inserted the $10 bill once again, this time it took my $10 bill and it didn't regester the money to the pump as it was suppose to, I then went to my gas pump to double check my pump but there was no gas pumping, I went insode the main gas station to inform the clerk about the situation, he and his co worker barely spoke any english as I explained to them what had just happened, they even prompted me to speak spanish to them which I responded I only speak english, they had me fill out a complaint form and told me the manager would open the machine and find the 10$bill, then call me tomorrow. I had then purchased $10 worth of gas from my debit card on pump #2 and filled my car with unleaded plus gas into my car. So the next day around 3:00 the manager called me and asked me about the situation then I told him what had happened, He started to argue with me and tell me that he cannot access the pump as what the two barely english speaking clerks said was wrong, this upset me and I told him I work hard for that money and it's bad enough the oil companies rip us off with gas, I want that $10 back, He tells me he will have the machine opened by next tuesday and he will call me with the $10 bill ready. He did not call me until Wednesday may 25 around 7:06 pm. he told me the 10 dollar bill was accepted into the machine and I had sent the money to pump #07 but I had told him he was wrong, I remember specifically informing him that I had entered it into pump # 2 I remember even double checking the pump, I also remember seeing a small part of that $10 bill stuck in the machine, So I knew he was wrong. I told him, once again, this is my hard earned money and the least he could do was reimburse me with a $10 gift card and I could settle for that but the manager insisted that I was wrong and I sent the money to the wrong machine. I responded telling him once again no I did not, I'm positive I didn't, I even saw part of the $10 stuck in the slot that accepts bills, then I responded and said, you mean to tell me that you called to tell me I had been ripped off by your machine, the manager responded, "yes." by this point I was infuriated by his reaction and I told him that he was a useless manager that he ripped me off, the manager tried to argue with me, to which I responded Don't call this number again and I and going to file a lawsuit, I do admit to calling him an obscene term at this point due to my anger towards his argument towards me and his incompetence as a responsible manager. and I also responded to him once I get this lawsuit going watch your back. the only proof I have of this incident is his phone record and a recipt for the debit purchace I made for gas pump #2 the night of the incident when I couldn't get my $10 bill back. i really hope there is something I can do about this because I don't want any other driver on the road going through what I went through with this Arco location. thank you for taking the time to read this.

We were just ripped off by this gas station. We punched in $60 but the bill to fill up was $47.50. When we went to get our change, we were told that the woman before us had claimed it. When we protested and stated that this was not our fault, we were summarily and rudely told that we could either chase her or call 911. We have sent a letter to the president of Tesoro, filed a claim with BP and will be sending the City of Duarte a letter was well to alert them of what is going on at this station. Clearly, it is not the money but the bad behavior that quite frankly does not bode well for either ARCO or am/pm.

AMPM.com pump caliberation

I filled gas in my 1998 Toyota Camry LE which has a gas tank capacity of 15.4 gallons. I had enough gas in it and the "low gas warning" light had not yet come on. I estimate there was more than 1 gallon of gas in the tank. However, the pump recorded dispensing 15.418 gallons. This amount is in excess of the empty capacity of the gas tank!

To whom it may concern,

My name is Don LaMora and I have been a loyal customer with ARCO Am/Pm gas stations since 1996 when, I moved from New York to California. I had an unusual experience on 02-25-2011 at approximately 1700 hours, (5:00pm) at your fueling facility located at 735 E street in Chula Vista California 91910, adjacent to the Chula Vista Trolley station. I pulled my vehicle up to pump #10 as the traffic in the fueling lanes were extremely busy. I was able to pull my vehicle into fueling lane #10 with the passenger side of the vehicle facing the pump. I realized that my fuel tank was located on the driver side of the vehicle. Because traffic was so busy, I was able to maneuver my vehicle close enough to the pump, so that I could stretch the hose across the back of my vehicle to begin fueling.

My wife who was with me swiped our debit card and turned the fueling pump on so that I could proceed to refuel my vehicle. As I was refueling the vehicle, Store Clerk Employee (Carlyne) exited the convenient store of the business and proceeded to shout in an inappropriate manner, " I'm going to charge your debit card $200.00 dollars " I looked around not knowing if she was acknowledging me. Employee Carlyne approached me and with her right hip, bumped into me and pushed me away from refueling my vehicle. Employee Carlyne proceeded to take hold of the fueling pump in an unsafe manner and pulled the nozzle from my fuel tank and proceeded to hang the pump up turning off the fuel pump.

With no explanation Employee Carlyne proceeded to walk back into the store flaring her arm in the air and making derogatory statements to which I could not clearly understand or make out. I looked around your facility, to see if had pulled my vehicle into the fueling lane incorrectly and maybe that's why the employee did what she did. I did not observe any signs or posted facility notices stating that you could not refuel your vehicle in such a manner. I also observed in the fueling lanes that there were no painted or distinct markings on the ground stating that you had to pull your vehicle in any such manner. I turned my vehicle around so that I could continue to refuel my vehicle as I was leaving San Diego and heading to Yuma Arizona for a family emergency. As if my time and stress levels were not pressed already, your employee now delayed my departure from San Diego even more.

My wife went into the store to inquire on why the Employee took such action towards us and wanted to know why the pump was turned off as we were only able to pump 3 gallons of fuel before the Employee hung up the pump. Employee Carlyne and the Manager on staff proceeded to ignore my wife as they whispered towards one another. Both Employees had a large amount of people in line for transaction. My wife again continued to attempted to gain one of the clerks attention. Finally my wife was able to get the Managers attention and asked why the Employee Carlyne felt she needed to delay our departure and turn our pump off as we were not completed with our transaction. To no success the Manger was not able to give us an explanation and quickly apologized for Employees Carlyne's actions.

The Manager on staff provided my wife with a free car wash and .45 cents for the inconvenience of us having to use our debit card again to turn the pump back on to complete our transaction. I completed my transaction with your facility and was extremely upset with the Employees un professionalism and the Managers lack of attention on trying to provide my wife and I with an informative explanation. I returned to the establishment to inquire on how I would go about making a formal complaint a few days later. I spoke with the night time clerk who was of middle eastern descent. He was unhelpful and lacked customer service skills. He advised me to return to the store when the Employee Carlyn was on duty and confront her than. He explained to me that it would cost me 200.00 dollars if, I pumped my fuel in such a manner and drove off breaking the fuel pump. I explained to the clerk that in all my years of driving and refueling vehicles, I did not know that you could not refuel on the opposite side of your vehicle. The clerk replied " are you kidding me, every body knows that "

I felt his remarks were quit sarcastic and unprofessional. I have been driving a vehicle for approximately 17 years from the east coast to the west coast and never experienced such an incident or ever drove off breaking a fuel pump. I am very displeased with the actions of the Employees servicing this location and I am contemplating weather to seek legal counsel for a possible civil law suit against this particular establishment. My name is David Ira Bell I was attacked by a man and his dog at the south main street Red Bluff Ca 96080. locatioin on South main st. I take out the trash for the the Sub Way sand which shop. Also the police are trying to confuse me in what happened and the employess are changing there storys about what happened. At a station located n Roseville on Foothill Blvd I put $20.00 cash into the machine, it accepted the money and it said pump 9 was ready. This was at approximately 11:30AM Sunday March 28th. I went to pump pushed the middle button for midgrade. Green light came on but the digital readout from previous customer did not clear. It would not allow me to pump the gas. I went inside to talk to whoever was in charge. He came out an asked me if I had put the money and I advised yes. He managed to get a receipt out and questioned me as to whether or not I had pumped the gas. I assured him I did not and he called his boss. He stated his boss was off today and that I should return the next day to resolve it. I advised him no that I had paid for my gas and I wanted it today as I was on empty and in a hurry. Why should I have to come back due to sytem problem with their pump. We went back and forth for several minutes and finally the employee in order to clear the problem paid with his personal card. He still insisted that I come back the next day to talk to his boss. I said why should I have to. I am not stealing anything and no reason for me to come back. He asked for my nam and number and I refused that also. When I refused he said not to come back to this station.

AMPM.com they took my money

I went to AM/PM at 3:25-3:30 this morning (March 2, 2011) to get gas before work. I used the machines there by the pump to pay as always, using cash. I used one side of the machine, it kept on spiting my 20 out so cancelled that out, went to other side and tried it. it did it again but this time the screen said to take your money out. OK well the machine didn't spit my 20 out it kept it. I went in and told the clerk and he checked his computer and told me" I did not put any 20 in". In other words I lied! Now why in the world would I do that. I have been going to that AM/PM for years. I asked how am I suppose to get gas now He looked at me, shrugged his shoulders and said "you no put money in, you no get money back". I couldn't believe it. I told him I want my money back he said I was to come back at 10 and talk to the manager. I told him I couldn't I was at work at that time. He turned and walked away.

I called the gas station at 10. The guy I delt with at 3:30 this morning answered and played dumb. I had to tell him 3 times that I wanted to talk to the manager. When I finally did, after telling her what happened she told me I had to be there at noon to get my money. Well gee I am still at work at that time. I told her I couldn't be there at that time, that I was still at work. She told me that 3 times before she, aparently got the picture, that I wasn't going to be there at noon. she asked what time I could be there I told her 4:30. She said ok I can get my money then.
OK I get there at 4:30 and I have to deal with a whole different person. I go through the whole story again. And he told me if there is no money stuck in the machine then I don't get the money back, we walked outside to the machine that I used, opened it and guess what...no money. Well of course there wouldn't be. everybody else has been using the machine all day and they could of gotten the money unstuck sometime during the day. I asked him to watch the servalance tap from 3:30 am so I could show him that I was not lieing. He said" NO" can't do that. I asked why he wouldn't give me an answer other than" NO" can't do that.
So I am out 20 and the AM/PM owners are thieves. I have filed a police report on them.

For several visits I noticed the floors were very dirty. The coffee area is dirty. Ran out of stirers, sugar. The trash can is aweful. I refuse to get coffee in the morning. Too many germs. I have now switched to 7-11 for my morning coffee and 76 Union for my gas.

I was in Poulsbo and had nearly the same experience. I put 20 in and it ate it. I go in and wait 20mins to get help while someone is waiting for me in the car and behind it. They had to find and print a form that took my personal info so they can find the overage when the contract co picks up the money. They would then find that overage I put in and return it to me. I live 40 miles away! I was trying to fill the tank to go to Vegas that day! I'll never go there to get my money cause it'll cost me more for the 20! Why haven't they mailed me my money! NO Website works to complain! Sounds like a mini SCAM to me, not quite organized by the 'stations' but known as a quick rip cause of people like us that write it off! I'm pissed more now...

AMPM.com arco am/pm & bp consumer relations

This is pretty trivial - I go to the corner BP AM/PM daily. I purchase 100 oz of coffee in an AM/PM cup, for my husband and I to share throughout the day.

This is also where I purchase gas, cigarettes and beer on a regular basis.

Every couple of days I take a out a small donut bag with sugar and creamers from this "Convenience" store so that we can put it in the coffee that we've purchase daily from this AM/PM.

We were advised that we must add all of our sugar/creamer while we are at the store. Considering I use splenda, my husband uses sugar, he likes a certain flavor creamer, I prefer another - combining ALL of it there into the 100 oz container, is NOT convenient.

Nor is it convenient for us to leave with 3 or 4 sugars and creamers for 100 oz of coffee.

When I called the corporate consumer affairs center about the lack of consistency from one AM/PM to another, I was advised that each individual franchise can make those limits. They then compared themselves to a McDonald's Franchise!

I indicated the correct comparison would be with 7-11. However, the point was mute, since the BP consumer affairs dept does not comprehend branding recognition.

Good Luck BP with that gulf thing - My prayers are with all of us who have bigger issues with you than how much sugar and creamer you'll dispense.

LOL i'd like to see how u would act if you were in a situation like that. Im sure u would be upset An ###? yup your right i did act like one. common courtesy would have been for the lady who took my money, tell me before she took my money that i could not back in. Then made me look like a FOOL when i went to pump my gas and no gas came out and then had to go back anf GET MY MONEY, SO YUP I DID ACT LIKE AN ### :) ppl who treat u like one deserve to be treated back like one. Customer service is all out of wack in Los Angeles thats why there are so many "###" out here.

THIS IS A COMPLAINT! Today around 5:50 PM I went to an Arco gas station that was on florance and figueroa and was VERY packed because the price for regular gas was $4.09. I was HIGHLY upset when i backed into a pump went in line that had over 10 people waiting in line, paid the lady went to pump my gas, then the security guard comes up to my Husband and tells him we cant get gas because we backed in. I have NEVER been to ANY Arco gas station where you would have to wait in line for a pump! There was NO sign where the "line" to get to a pump that said anything about having to wait in line. The security then pointed to a suign that usw VERY small and ALMOST on the GROUND that sauid "No backing in" If the lady who took my money knew this why did she take my money in the FIRST PLACE! i left asnd didnt even get ANY gas. This was very unprofessional and i have been going to Arco gas station for over 10 years.

AMPM.com faulty cash payment machine

I paid $20 in the automatic cash machine at this gas station but the machine registered it as just $5. I immediately when in and explained this to the the attendant. He asked me to give this in writing on a paper and asked me to come back on the next Friday afternoon as that was the day the cash machines are opened. On Friday, I was asked to come back on Sunday. On Sunday, the lady at the station told me that they did not find a discrepancy when counting the money and was abusive. She would not give her name and just said complain to 1-800-ARCO.

Don't use the automatic cash machines at ARCO as their customer support is horrendous. There is no recourse if the machine makes a mistake.

Im new to clovis and I went to the gas station and by accident entered the wrong way and the cashier looked at me with digust and with my hand a gestured that I was sorry. as I went to go pay for my gas the cashier she started going off on how a car almost hit me for going the wrong way. I told her oh I know sorry and that I appologized to the other driver, but she just kept going on and on and I told her once again to please stop already that I appologized. She turned around and handed my money back and I told her what she was doing and she did not say anything, I asked for her managers number and she would not give it to. told her I would get her manager numbers later. So I left. What kind of customer service is this for this lady to keep telling me on and on and scolding me after I have appologized and getting in my face, and for turning me away as a customer. I am sorry she is unhappy there and also word to the wise its not smart to smoke outside around gas as she was.

I won a candy bar on your app and when I went to redeem it the cashier had a attitude with me telling me he doesn't like those apps cause he got to type in alot of numbers so he didn't do it, so I left the store and didn't get to use it

You and me both. I had a group interview at AMC 12 at Victoria Garden's in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. There were 2 cuts. The first one was we had to sell stubs which most of us passed. The second was personality questions. All the people who aced at second cut in my opinion were asked to leave and they kept all the girls that looked mediocre and bimbo-ish.

AMPM.com stolen money

I was on the way home an I needed gas so I stopped at AMPM on 9th Street in Modesto, right off the freeway. I put in $10 in the machin like I hae done hundreds of times. I received no gas ad the attendan would do nothing about it. She just laughed when I told her to cll the help line or her boss. I had kids in the car and was in danger of running out of gas ut she did not care. This was Friday 11 pm andshe told me to come back Monday. This gas station stole my $10.

I thought cool I can get gas here at this gas station on brookhurst and cresent on the way home. Boy was I wrong. I walked into the store to pay for the gas I wanted and the person behind the counter (Erica) totally ignored me and decides to fill up her register with the rolls of coins and talk to the other employee (Gabby) instead. So I got mad and left. IF IT WASN'T FOR THE CUSTOMERS, THEY WOULDN'T HAVE A JOB. I went to the other one down the street out of my way and they were way nicer. Euclid and La Palma.

I have an entire list of things. i work at this facility.

I work by myself every shift, there has not been a schedual up for 3 weeks, she has a guy from india working there right now, he is usually there for 12 hours, and i am lucky to work 3 days a week. i get paid in personal checks, i recieve no pay stub, she does not provide all the necessary equiptment to keep the facility clean. she does not hang all the promotional signs up. the list goes on and on.

i work at a am/pm. i try to be really nice, but those people just sound stoopid! and they may have been doing shift change and been unable to help you at that time
