This company is a complete rip off! They don't know anything about repairing refrigerators. I had them come out to fix my fridge which wasn't cooling properly and the guy, misha said it needed a new temperature control part($370). After replacing that part my freezer quit working also! Before at least my freezer was working but now it blows hot air! After calling him back he responds by saying it happens sometimes and that it now needed a new compressor for $850. He broke my fridge and charged me for a part it never needed. Beware of this con artist family from ukarain!
I called them out to last week to replace the fan motor for the freezer section of my side by side. My repair person was Misha. While there he asked if I was having ice making problems which I was. He said that the GE Profile is known for this problem, and he could replace the water pump to make the problem go away. I agreed to the repair because my company sells water pumps, and knew the pump would be about $30 for parts at the most. After he installed the pump, he said the pump was $275. Afterward, I looked at the GE parts website; and guess what? The fride does not ever have a water pump, if operates off of city water pressure.
This crook tried to charge me for over $800 for 2 hours work. I finally got him down to $550, but I feel raped. I am going to the BBB. Do not ever use this company!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I have paid them $550.00 and my refrigerator does not work. They came to my house on 4 separate occasions and could not fix the problem. In March my refrigerator was blowing hot air, I called this company and Borat came out the next day. They charged me 300.00 and told me that the copper lines had cracks and that the freon had leaked out. The next day my refrigerator was blowing hot air. They (Borat) came back the next day and said I needed a new compressor and that was another 450.00. I did not have 450.00 at that time. So I have been living without a refrigerator until I called them in June to come out and replace the compressor. They agreed to charge me only 250.00 for the compressor since they were not able to fix the refrigerator in March and had charged me 300.00. They came out (Vic) on June 29th and replaced the compressor and the next day it was blowing hot air again. I called and they came back on 07/02/2009 and stated they had to clean the lines etc because when a compressor goes out it blows oil etc. The next day my refrigerator was blowing hot air. I called and demanded to talk with the owner "Evie" is a very rude and unprofessional person stated I would have to call him back (what kind of customer service is that that you have to "keep trying" to talk to someone to file a complaint.) I finally reached Sam and he stated that my refrigerator had been working from March until July and if I wanted them to come back out I would have to pay another $75.00 service call fee! I am beyond furious, I am taking this company to small claims court, filing a complaint with every available agency; The Better Business Bureau, Clark Howard and every news channel known. I have gone without a refrigerator since March and have paid 550.00 to be told I was a liar. this is totally unacceptable and I will pursue at any level. While I am sitting here writing this comment, someone else is being ripped out by this company.
ER Acworth GA.
As the result of unconventional billing, we were overcharged and the original "seal" problem was not resolved.
Using the "National Price Guide" method for single jobs when grouped adds up to $665 for 2 hours of work and places your labor rate at $250/hr and even "discounted" puts labor at $150/hr. No actual labor and material prices appear as with other service companies.
Additionally, a maintenance charge of $127.85 with a service charge of $149.60 is a double charge for the same thing.
In effect there is no reference to actual materials and labor prices in the invoice, ending up with a $480 service repair bill for an unrectified seal problem is something we were not prepared for.
In a subsequent phone call to the company, we were told it would cost us an additional $200 to fix the original seal problem which is totally unjustified under the circumstances. We are now out $480 and the original seal problem is not fixed.
I intend to pursue these rip-off artists. They also overcharged me for a refrigerator repair and then refused to honor their warranty when the same problem reoccurred three weeks later. I also discovered that these people operate under several different business names and use a "central dispatcher" to answer service calls. One of the alternative business names is Appliance Master, Inc. with Lawerenceville, GA, telephone numbers. Avoid these companies!
