Applebee's false information

If I could give a lower star I would! So I work in the corporate world and normally the management team meets for games in Tampa bars or restaurants to watch a game and release some stress from work. It was my turn to pick a place. My mistake was to count on my local Applebees, allow me explain the embarrassment. I go into my local Applebees, I am ask how many to be seated, I ask the hostess before we go there can you let me know if you have this game playing. Gentlemen says let me check with my manager cause i cannot provide you an answer. I can respect that! Gentleman came back and said I spoke to my manager Shawn and we do have that game. I get seated, call my Peers and let them know we are set. I order a pitcher and wings they put our game on and I wait. My peers started to head toward the restaurant, a few minutes later I have to call them to let them know I was given bad information. I was only able to see previews of game because they did not have it as part of package! This was one of the biggest embarrassment I have face. I paid for everything even though I did not finish, I tip 45% of bill to prove a point since waitress and hostess had no blame for this unacceptable mistake. No management team came to apologize for false information provided, even when I expressed how I felt. My peers called me back and provided me of a restaurant that they found with the game. Im in management and in my line of business this will not be acceptable.

Applebee's family discrimination

I heard a child crying- I saw the mother trying to comfort the child as the child was probably hungry or wanted something.

The waitress had been serving the table with all politeness before I heard the comment that offended me. - (2 women and 1 children 15 months and 1 infant).

This same waitress seated a young man and a young women near me in the back and as she walked past me she said

"I will sit you back here away from the screaming child" - the young couple and the waitress all laughed at the comment and agreed that would be nice.

I turned around and looked surprised to hear such a thing, and then heard the waitress tell her coworker how she cant stand crying kids- or something mumbling about the woman and her crying child.

I felt that I should say something as being a single parent and have been in the same situation at that same resturaunt and actually have heard those words come out of the waitresses mouthes before and never said anything and felt hurt but why should I feel hurt that is they way young children communicate through crying. HELLO!

So the waitress walked by and I said excuse me you may want to get your manager but what I am going to tell you is that you is that you owe me an apology and the woman who has the child crying an apology becasue of your comment you said. That was unprofessional and you shouldnt say things like that because that is considered discrimintaion. She apologized and got her manager and I let him know as well that this is not the first time I have heard this but teach your employees that when sitting guest dont speak of other guests situation to make the current situation comfortable. I asked is this a family establishment? both answered yes then comments like that should not be said. If you have a changing station in the bathroom its a family establishment. If the waitress feels that she should have sat them in an area that would not be distracted by crying children then she should have asked them if they wanted to sit at the bar. Thats is just as if you take me past a person of a different race are you going to say or they are blue let me sit you here, no. Get it together APPLEBEES you are about to be sued again!

Applebee's food

I took my elderly parents to the Applebee's in Stevens Point WI. We go there a lot and have for years. During chemotherapy treatments, birthdays, holidays etc. Karol N is our server who knows us by name and our likes for food. We love her! However, our food today was awful...specifically my father's. He ordered the chicken tenders platter. It was all batter, hard and no meat. You have changed your chicken tenders! It is NOT the same and NOT as pictured in the menu. Our server got the manager who did admit they have been having complaints however it was a corporate decision and it can not be changed. Last visit the riblets were hard and burned but we had terrible service then. The manager did allow my father to reorder a different meal. Truthfully, that was my favorite meal and my dad's. It's now horrible. With other restaurants within one block that have great food, great service and competitive pricing, it's hard to go back to Applebee's. We love Karol N and thank you that she helped my dad get a new meal. But he has had 2 bad experiences now in a month and that's hard for an elderly man...he won't go back now. So please change your chicken tenders and riblets back to the original ones. And if not, I bet we will not be back as well as several others, as verified by the manager.

Applebee's improper management

Isn't it against your company policy for employees to stay until 4 in the morning drinking and then leave driving? I would like to remain anonymous, but I am tired of my wife coming home drunk every single night from your phenix city locations. Every employee including the managers drink on the job, and distribute and use drugs wow on your time clock. I am at my wits ends with dealing with this. This is my one and only attempt to not go public

Applebee's service

Since I am an employee, this is a complaint regarding other employees. My first day of work, I was swore at and talked down to.
I also witnessed the training bartender throwing empty bottles into the trash, disregard measuring tools for drinks and dump ice and pop into the trash as well.
I endured a server telling me to "learn how to pour a [censored]ing shot." Or" it's right there, are you [censored]ing blind."
The assistant supervisor, Zach spent his evening swearing at employees, making me stay out of the kitchen.
I trained at the Wisconsin rapids Wisconsin location and loved it there.
I moved to Stevens point and am seriously considering quitting.

Applebee's bottled water

Seriously! Adrian Michigan is having problems with their water supply, but after complaining that my glass of water tasted like chlorine hey brought me a bottle of Ice Mtn which goes for $ 0.41, and charged me $2.00! While I understand they need to cover their costs, making this more than 4 times what they paid for it is obscene! They need to just sink their own well or get reverse osmosis!

It's not the restaurant's fault there is an issue with local water, therefore, they should not be expected to charge wholesale prices for drinks.

Applebee's service in restaurant

We went the Applebee's in Wytheville, VA on Saturday, January 18, 2019. We arrived there at 5:20 p.m. and were seated in a booth next to hostess station and definitely not crowded. After sitting there for 30 minutes and no one acknowledging that we were there, I stopped the hostess and informed her that we had not had a waitress come to our table. I counted 5 waitresses on 2 sides of the small restaurant and waiting on the tables next to us. Someone came out in casual clothes and took our order for drinks and dinner. We received our drinks which were partially wrong and said nothing. A little later, we received one salad instead of the two my husband and I ordered. They came out with another which was ½ the serving size as the first. Again, we said nothing. Later, we received our meal and I received mashed potatoes instead of a baked potato. My husband said that it was wrong and I replied that it was o.k. and the server left and later brought a baked potato that was cold. My steak, mushrooms and onions were black charcoal on one side - which was uneatable. My husband's steak was cooked correctly, but it was nothing but, one giant gristle, which was also uneatable. We did not complain about the meal, but the manager came out and said they were going to give us a discount - which they did for $15.00. Our meal for 2 with soft drinks, salads and steak and potatoes was $48.00 - $15.00 was $33.00 for a meal that was not fit to eat. No appetizers or alcohol was ordered. This was the second time that we have had bad meals here and this was the final time. No more going there. We leave in a small town which has only a couple restaurants that have steaks. Next time, I will travel out of town for dinner.

Applebee's service/kitchen/cleaning tables

I was at Applebee's in Springfield, Ohio last night. It took forever for our waitress to get to our table to take our drink order. Granted she came from all the way across the restaurant due to a couple issues going on in the restaurant like food being cold and complaints from other people around us. We finally ordered our drinks and it took about 15 minutes to get them out to us. We sat and watched waitresses/waiters take stuff back and forth to the kitchen from other people around us with problems. We ordered our food and it took almost an hour for us to get our food and my dad got boneless hot wings and had to send them back because they were cold. They microwaved them and brought them back out. The people next to us were finished eating and had left. They forgot their left overs and the lady cleaning the table off looked at the box, walked away and came back a couple times and opened it up checked it and took it back to a corner table and her and another girl started eating it. They were on their phones while everyone else was running around like crazy and our drinks sat empty. Before we were finished eating they got in between our chairs and the table sweeping and bumping us. We had to ask if they wanted us to move. After that they started sweeping the floor next to us and pulled the table out and bumped into our table and my dad. It was very poorly ran and surprisingly their were what seemed to be like two managers working and you wouldn't have even known.

Applebee's unethical behavior

I am a regular customer at Applebee's I love the food and the servers are the best... However I have a problem with the manager he is very sexist! Very inappropriate with the female workers I have witnessed this on plenty of occasions! As a matter of fact today 01/05/2019 I left in disgust the manger I don't know his name he's a heavy set Caucasian male was handing out jello shots to the female employees and making sexist remarks! I'm guessing he is a new manager cause as I said I'm a regular and I just started seeing him... You have lost a faithful customer and gained a bad review!

Applebee's salad not made the way it was advertised

took my wife and granddaughters to applebees on Friday, Dec. 28, 2018. I ordered the
thai shrimp salad. menu said that it is made with Asian greens. it came out made with romaine lettuce. when I asked the manager about it, I was told that this is the way they are made now. problem is, I ordered one thing and got something else. they dont even make salads with Asian greens any more, according to the manager. means the menu is false/misleading.

Applebee's bartender cussing, berating apparently a friend/local person to the bar.

I just had a late lunch at the odenton Maryland (Waugh chapel) Applebee's, I walked in, was barely greeted as I sat at the bar. The bartender came around the corner talking about how (excuse the term) retarded someone that was apparently a frequent in the bar was. Then he began to repeatedly say "he's retarded, he's retarded". I wanted to cause a scene but I have better control than that. In addition, another customer had a shocked look on her face that he kept saying it, and eventually said "that's not a good term", the bartender responded with, "well do you know him?" As if that made it right to continue to berate someone.

Applebee's salad preparation

I Ordered the two for 25. and chose the two salads for appetizer. I found mud on lettuce in the salad I was eating for dinner om Dec.16, 2018. the manager offered to remove the cost of the salad. I don't believe I should have had to pay for the entire dinner since my appetite was ruined. I hope I don't end up in the ER tonight, but I kept a piece with mud on it in case I do. It's deplorable that the lettuce was not properly washed.

You should be embarrassed wanting/expecting free food! So the lettuce had a little dirt on it. Big deal. That will not hurt you and you know it! They only thing you were entitled to was a new salad. If your appetitte was so ruined, you should have cancelled your order and gone home.

Applebee's service

Yesterday afternoon I took my friend to the applebees on commercial way in Spring Hill fl . We were sitting in the high tops closer to the kitchen our food came out and both of our potatoes were rock hard . The host that was extremely nice heard me say something to my friend and was Immediately concerned . She said she would let the manager Cynthia know and will get those replaced the manager came out not in a timely manner and wasn't concerned at all she interrupted me and just said do you want us to remake them her attitude was very unprofessional for being a manager our new potatoes did come out, still hard it turned out to be a very bad experience she really came across like we were beneath her or something we will not be coming back to that applebees

Applebee's the overall restaurant in wilson nc

Took my Mom and niece and nephew there for lunch on Monday 12/10/18. Walked in the hostess greeted us. There was a person with red hair head on bar. I asked the hostess if that person was drunk and passed out. She explained that she was studying. I said shouldn't she be working? The restaurant was empty I explained my Mother needed to sit at a table up the ramp. It took a while to get a table. I was highly upset and left. Will not return. Been there several times. This restaurant used to thrive with patrons. My Mom likes the salad. Once they were out of eggs, next they were out of lemons. Chick Filet cup and bags on nearby table. Parking lot used to be full, now empty. Everyone working there has an attitude. Needs cleaned house and start with new crew. Am not going back.

The worst part of all of this was when we left my nephew started crying. He really looked forward to dining there. I was so angry that I slapped him across the face. My mom told me to calm down and I told her to shut up. I swore at her. I just found out my niece, my nephew's older sister told her mom what happened. My nephew was crying when he got home and when his mom asked my niece told them that I slapped him across the face when he was crying because he did not get to eat at Applebee's. Apparently the employee that was studying was on break. She works there and should not show her face to customers. on her break. She should be in the break room. Anyways my brother refuses to allow me to be with my niece and nephew unless he or his wife is with them because this is not the first time I slapped his children.

Applebee's dicks painted onto xmas decorations in the window

The applebees in wisconsin dells thought it would be funny if they drew penises onto their xmas decorations they painted in the window on the front door. I am absolutely disgusted a family restaurant would allow this. When we asked the GM about he just said it was a servers idea and they thought it would be funny. The server thought it would be a good idea to put on snapchat as well. Its disgusting and someone needs to be held accountable and actions need to be taken.

Applebee's food

Ordered our food. We were there a good 30 mintutes before a party of about 20 showed up. They got there appetizers before our food came out. I had a party of 6 we had pasta steak 2 hamburgers and chicken and shrimp and wings The food was cold. We sent it back. The party of 20 got there food. We waited a good 30 mi tired before they sent out food back out. It came one by one. The 6th person didn't even get to eat because everyone else already ate there meal by the time there's arrived. The Manager gave the waitress attitude because we complained about the way it played out. The manger finally comped half out meal and offered us free appetizer for the next visit. I explained to the manager this wasn't the first time this restaurant had poor service within 1 month. I will never go to another Applebee's ever again. The attitude and acting like a free appetizer is gonna fix the incompetence of serving a hot meal to someone who works hard for there dollar. Sad story that it should be fixed by comping half the tab and free appetizers for a place I will never will go to. Management should take the first complaint serious. Sometimes comping and free isn't the answer. I definitely give Applebee's a rating of -10 in Fresno. My money my not matter but the word of mouth effects more than me.

Applebee's product /customer service

Well for starters i just had a tragety in my life my mom just died from cancer that afternoon and me and my husband and my pastor and wife went to get a bit to eat at the restaurant that me and my mom had lunch together often and whn we first arrived not busy at all it took several minutes for service and she took drink order and then food order and we ordered 2for 25 we all wanted salads and there wasnt available due to people getting sick well then we asked if we could get extra appitizer for the diierence and she said yes well that never happened and the sirloin my husband ordered was really over cooked and through all this we never got a single refill on any of our drinks the entire dinner i would have made a huge stink but i wasnt in any condition for being more upset the waitress was aware of my loss we said and she had no compassion to even make sure we had a good expierence im so upset i really want to be able to come back and have a nice dinner with the service i deserve and had always gotten i have never made a complaint before this is the craziest i had ever expierenced please help i told waitress i was going to contact corporate and if that dont get me anywhere i will go to social media
im disabled and cant afford to spend this kind of money for a time like this only because it was a special occassion please help god bless

Applebee's service

11/12/18 I took my daughter for her 26th birthday to her favorite restaurant, Applebees. We have celebrated her family birthday here since she was little.
When we went into the restaurant Mt. Laurel, NJ, I informed the server it was my daughter's birthday and when we ordeeed dessert, would get please sing.
Dessert was delivered, no song, clapping or recognition as I had requested.
There were no more than three other tables and two patrons in the bar area, not crowded in the least.

When I brought this to the servers attention, her response was "oh, sorry." That was it.
This may seem trivial, however it was very disappointing. The server made no other to attempt to perhaps maybe make it up.
Really, really terrible customer relations for a "family friendly neighborhood" restaurant.

Applebee's the manager was so rude and disrespectful

Me and my husband was having dinner last nite and the waitress who was nice id us n went to get out drinks the manager on that nite jus came into us didn't ask how our nite was going but came up being rude asking us question that didn't concern her well needless to say we didn't have our drinks nor eat there I really felt like we were getting targeted because we were black I never in my life experience anything like that in my life and I'm 38 years old

Applebee's unprofessional service

My family and I had dinner at Applebee's in Statesville (115 Glenway Dr. Statesville, NC, 28677) tonight, and it was not a very pleasant experience for us. The waitress was not unfriendly but she's not professional at all. As soon as we got our drinks, we had received our bill. Is getting the bill before you eat a common practice at Applebees? When we asked for refills, the waitress never remembered what we were drinking and she had to ask all of us what we were drinking each time. My husband had to tell her to give him a refill twice before she did it. In the end, both my husband and my daughter asked for a refill and it never came so we just left. I ordered a medium rare steak, but it came out well-done. My husband ordered a medium rare steak as well and his came out medium. I cut my steak one time and showed it to the waitress and she said it's well done and that she would get the manager out. When the manager came out, he stood at the table but he didn't even introduce himself. I had no idea he's the manager so I didn't say anything to him. I had to tell the waitress one more time that my steak was overcooked. She said her manager would take care of it. The manager came out again and this time he just said he would tell the chef to make another one for me. No apology or anything. When the waitress came out with my remade steak, she asked me if we had ordered another steak. What?
