AOLMart sent out an email that "looked" like it was from a friend of mine but it turns out it was not. The email said that AOLMart was a great sight to purchase from. I happened to be looking to buy a digital camera so I checked it out and the price was good. When I went to place the order I first wanted to use PayPal but it said PayPal was not available due to new trade agreements with China I emailed them and they responded by saying I should use Western Union. I wired the money ($126.00) plus 21.00 Westuen Union fee to the account they told me. Then approx 2 days later They email me and say the camera is in customs and I need to pay $50.00 more. when I emailed back and asked for my money back they never responded again.
Once I began to check I found that AOLmart.com used to be EYmart.com and that that there are similar complaints with the exact scam technique I just described.
I wish there was some way of shutting these guys down.
Joe

I so agree with you. The email looked safe and was from a friend of mine. Like you I found the prices to be really good. I decided to purchase a 47" Sony LCD tv for only $315.00. I opted for the bank transfer and asked by email how it was done. Well, they sent me all of their bank info. When I saw it was China, I got worried.. How would I return it if it was not working. What if they never sent it. I decided just to block their email. Thankfully I did not send any money. Sorry you got ripped off.
