Anotherfriend.com is a scam website. They deactivate your account for no reason just when you start to make a friend. They pressure you into signing up for a premium or higher account. My friend tried registering on this website when she never used it before and it kept on telling her that her account was suspended. Come on she was a brand new person. Then to top it off they tried to charge a membership over seven times to all of my credit cards. They tell you can have a standard membership for free but only for a few days. I have even wrote emails to their site explaining what their website did to me and it's been over a week and still no apology. The website is a fraud and I already turned them into the better business bureau for making my life hell

I have to wait for few days now, until they will activate my account again. and if im so lucky and they do so, im so going to deactivate /cancel/ delete everything. the ### still have all my photos and personal data. dont know what to do :((((( why didnt i read the reviews before ... ahh silly me.

ANOTHERFRIEND.COM is a dating site online and i was a subscribing member approx 2 years ago, since then i have casually perused the site as a non paying standard member. i noticed earlier this week that my status had been upgraded to premium membership so i queried this with the company as i had not requested this, Their reply to me was that i must have "accidentally "hit their "easy payments banner", they had all my credit details from previous membership, My main concern is how unerringly their easy payment button seems to be activated by clients. Now i have absolutely no recollection of pressing any button especially when i did not even want the service which they debited my account 55 EURO . when i requested refund they refused, So besides displaying very poor customer service in not refunding my money i have concern that other people could get caught the same way. if you were to return a "product "to a shop you would be within your statutory rights to get refund or some kind of appropriate refund

I joined up, 'upgrade to premium' is everywhere but i managed to ignore it. I send one message to a girl, got a reply, next thing I see "YOUR ACCOUNT IS SUSPENDED TILL THE YEAR 3962".

I don't think I can go until the year 3962 meeting someone so I'll have to go elsewhere.

Very bad site, the number of people outside Dublin seems to be very low and on top of that they are very underhanded at getting subscriptions from you, no notification of renewals that are taken automatically. There are way better sites.

Last week I rejoined anotherfriend.com after receiving an email(one month premium membership for one euro). My credit card was billed for one euro on 6/4/11 and a further 22.90 euro on the same date.I have sent numerous emails to anotherfriend but have received no response!

Absolutely correct, , I suggested a song title to a lady I was writing to which contained a location in Dublin, the result was suspension as their computer assumed I was covertly giving info out which is a no no

I had my account deactivated just after I had made friends with a lady online. I was told that my account would remain deactivated unless I upgraded to a premium account. As I wished to reply to a message from this person I paid up.However, since then three people who contacted me had their accounts deactivated just as we had exchanged mail. One girl in particular created a new account to tell me that she did not know why her old account was activated but that she would like to remain in contact. Her new account was immedaitely deactivated.

Everyone who I have been in contact with has had their account deactivated, with the exception of one girl who has a premium account. As a paying customer I find this unacceptable.

I raised this issue on the message board and my message was deleted. No one contacted me from the site.

It appears clear to me that accounts are purposely deactivated just when they begin to develop friendship with another person online and that this is done in order to pressurise people into upgrading their accounts. I can see no other reason for the deactivation of so many accounts.

It's true. The way Anotherfriend.com advertise standard membership is misleading. They are trying to coerce people to upgrade by unexpectedly suspending their standard accounts until they upgrade to a premium account. Shabby business practice. Ultimately it is a losing strategy. Bottom line: Anotherfriend.com puts money ahead of it's respect for customers. They will not last by treating customers this way.
