I recently went for my PDI, and to my shocked, there were a lot of issues and the first floor was not even complete!
The 3rd party inspectator even commented that the house was not ready and hence why the builder didn't come for the PDI themselves, but instead hired someone else. Needless to say, on the floors we were able to do our PDI, we filled up many pages of issues.
The Incompleted first floor, never had a PDI done - is this legal? Apparently, since the builder ignored all my emails to do another PDI. The house closed several days later after the PDI, as we had no choice.

Stay away from this builder, even my lawyer mentioned that we were not the only one that was forced to closed pre-maturely before all work was completed by this builder. Bottom line is this is the worst builder I have ever dealt with, and we've dealt with a few, including Starlane. Customer service is the worst - they don't reply to your emails or show that they care, despite so many issues in your home.

ANDRIN HOMES IS ONE OF THE WORST BUILDER IN the INDUSTRY. Bought home in 2016 in Whitby, closed in 2019, more than 3 years later, Cheap material, poor workmanship, worst customer service, this builder even doesn't have a decor center. Usually most of builder locate their decor center within city boundaries because they understand that some people may not have access to their own transportation and usually ease of access is important in this business, but this crooked builder doesn’t think like that, their so called decor center located on their construction site in Hillsborough close to Bradford so for people who bought the house in Whitby must travel 70 KM one way to reach them. One of the bizarre aspects of their business is to rip off their customer by forcing them to upgrade. How they do that, they don't provide material sample on sales center, you bought the house, you go the decor center, you see the standard material is so cheap and ugly that give you no choice other than to upgrade. We decided to upgrade main tiles from 12X12 cheap ceramic to 12X24 porcelain, they asked us $7500 (tax included) for 350 sqf, the price of same tile at Home Depot is 1.99/sqf. They charge $18.75/sqf. I decided to do that myself after closing although it will be a headache and the house will be messy for some time because I have to remove existing tiles and install the new one but it is worth to not to go with this crooked builder and encourage them to continue with the same to other people. This is only one example of how this builder rips off their customers. Their standard material s are very cheap quality, the workmanship are very poor, even the people who work for this builder admit that. They have a worst customer service in industry. The staff turnaround time is very short which shows that the office environment is not friendly. A per conversation with customer care’s staff the complain from the home owners are overwhelming. On closing date the worker still working in the house, lot of construction debris in basement, main floor was full of dust and paint, too much condensation between wall's insulation and plastic cover over the insulation on basement’s walls, Only one bathroom was use-able. Ceiling over the tub was rough as they didn’t plaster and sanded and painted properly. We couldn’t move in until one week later, that week I had to clean the house myself. You buy house from this builder at your own risk, do your own due diligence, don't let the builder incentive like appliances intimidate you, Builders never give anything for free, read their feature sheet carefully, most of the items that they highlighted are mandatory based on municipal code but they want to show them as an incentive. Ask your lawyer to review the contract thoroughly and highlight the hidden cost. These hidden cost will cost you thousands on closing date. We learned from our mistake and now share it with you so you don't fall in builder's trap. This builder (Andrin Homes ) is phony, be careful.

!HORRIBLE!, STAY AWAY.
Even if they drop their prices more than 100K, please don't buy from this builder. You will regret it.
wW occasionally drive by to see what stage of the build they are at and nothing was done until the last month. The whole interior was put together in the last month. They rushed to put up the walls, paint the dry wall, do all the tiles, hardwood, staining and cabinetry. Everything has so many imperfections. worst of all they held the PDI on the last day before closing so we didn't really have a choice but to close the house or pay fines. We had exposed an fireplace with wires, no counter-top just a sink in the kitchen and marks, scratches and holes everywhere throughout the house. They also failed to mention we wont be having a garage door entry to the house until PDI. The list goes on and on and on. At this point they are just trying to hold up their agreement, they are not interested in providing a quality product to their customers. after reading all these comments i doubt things will every be completed to our satisfaction.

In case anyone needs a good laugh, here is the presidents message:

I wish I had checked this complaints board before I purchased a home from Andrin. Now it's too late. Their customer service is not responsive just as everyone was saying. Many jobs are incomplete, some of them are even illegal, before closing date. After closing, repairs continues and the communication is horrible. I am not the person who likes to argue but I just couldn't hold my anger anymore. It takes a couple ugly converstaions to finally get the critical repairs done and make the property livable. Their customer service are probably under-staffed or they had a really bad management. Stay away from Andrin!

I agree with you all...I moved in on Jun 8th, 2017 - just a week ago... OMG! When I arrived onsite - workers were inside the house! They claim they were not expecting me even thou that was my closing day! So what did they do? leave the bucket of water and mop leaning on the wall as my welcome gift! Plus Dust inside the house everywhere, extremely sloppy very rushed workmanship was evident everywhere, and yes Helen Webb - I heard her swear after she put the phone down to go get my file! No PDI was allowed to be done on the outside because it was INCOMPLETE - cement baked walls, dirty windows, cement soiled columns, front yard looks like a construction site . My veranda roof is not covered on the inside so I am seeing all the stuffing, woodwork, foam etc when I look up, the white wrapping around the upstairs windows on the outside are still flapping in the wind, the base for the white columns are spinning at the base - not sealed down. Cupboards doors were lean after installation so could not close properly (fixed after PDI). The seals in the bathroom walls have holes in them so soon water leak damage will be noticed, the very cheap living room laminate floor tiles uuuggghhh - cannot keep them clean due to lack of varnish, they have already begun to lift because they were hurriedly jammed during installation so floor is not level - you feel the bumps while you walk, there is a socket cover dangling out of the hole - not installed at all, a ripped window mesh leaning on my front room wall - to be replaced, who builds a house without toilet paper holder or towel bars? I had to buy my own and install! I could go on and on but I would need more time energy and space on this site... I would STRONGLY advise future buyers to RUN LIKE HELL from ANDRIN!

Been having a very similar experience as everyone else. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Maybe that's why so many houses are for lease/ sale on my street already. Forget calling and asking customer service for anything at all you will be ignored. They come and know on your door every single day because for some reason or another you are in their way but forget them coming to do something when you ask. The head on site supervisor actually started yelling at my mother who was visiting from out of town and parked her car in the wrong spot ( as if she is supposed to know where these ###s want us to park everyday) . This is the absolute worse experience ever and the company really does not care about you at all. And I agree with all the other people who say their house is a mess. After spending hours cleaning the floors and carpets etc( cause they walked in with mud on their shoes and didn't take them off), and cleaning their piss off my toilets that they used I am still cleaning caulking off the inside of windows and so many other things. And I am certain that the brackets they used on the stair railing are just something they found in the garbage as they rusted and damaged but even the door handles have the finish already worn off them from the first day I moved in... STAY AWAY

Worst builder ever !Horrible staff especially Helen Webb, cancelled our PDI 45 Minutes before it started, takes about 3 emails before she replies or acknowledges email regarding inquires or service, service people come to house with no notice, set off our house alarm . House was delayed 10 months, house has so many issues such as frozen pipes, cracked stairs, nail pops, leaky sink, siding incomplete, holes on back door, poor insulation, 5 to 10 degree difference between floors, ducts are undersized in high efficiency system. When we received house it was filthy, was not even construction clean . Poor craftsmanship, horrible quality.

Andrin's workmanship is horrible, as we have had lots of issues with our brand new townhouse in cathedraltown. To start, the place was delayed a year! Yes, 2 years to construct instead of 1 year. Very poor insulation, as you can hear everything in the area. Also, the pipes froze (no insulation) and we are still waiting for Andrin to re-paint the drywall, unless they are expecting us to do it ourselves. None of the doors are aligned, so they don't close or lock properly. Lots of nail pop outs, broken stairs, cheap paint, creaking in the floor, etc. All complaints seem to be ignored with the exception of the frozen pipes, as Andrin is liable for any damage caused. I would not recommend Andrin to anyone. They have not paid out any commission to the real estate agents as well.

Look for another builder!

We also recently closed our house with Andrin Homes. It's amazing that all they have done after PDI is to remove all the green stickers. Basically, they have done nothing to fix anything. After closing, they decided to continue digging holes in my house, causing a big mess in my house. It's almost one month after closing, I still cannot move in because of the condition of my house. They basically continue the construction after closing. Also, customer service is totally not responsive. What a terrible builder! Try avoid them at all costs!

We had to hire a home inspector ourselves as we have limited knowledge about houses. All he said was sloppy and quick workmanship, very unprofessional.

We recently closed our house with Andrin Homes as well in the Markam area. Numerous problems: a LEANING wall, missing basement insulation, mortar cracks throughout the exterior wall, numerous dents on walls and doors, air ducts filled with dirts, no cleaning was done inside and outside. We had to spent entire day cleaning from top to bottom. Too many problems to say it all. The builder did couple repairs, but the work wasn't good. So yes, stay away from this builder.
