In part this is my fault because I was naive enough to believe them. They called promising all kinds of great products and services, but then they debited my account for $200.00, and refused to refund it. I never heard back from them, I never received any of the products and services they promised, and they are impossible to get a hold of. I emailed them, I called them, they never got back in tough with me. When I finally did get a hold of the "customer service" center (after at least a dozen tries), they hung up on me! So I called them back (after many tries once again and hours of holding), and they hung up on me a second time! Please run from any one like this, and don't be naive and stupid like me. They are horrible, horrible people and full of lies!

They promise credit card useable to rent auto, good anywhere but useable only through their warehouse. Took $200 refused to return said I had to write for return not online. I did and still have not got my money back. I have called and called and get recording call did not go through. Have written and no answer. As they are operating across state lines the federal government should step in and close them down. They are guilty of fraud, theft, misrepresentation and lack any ethics. They are bankrupt morally, lack any human compassion as well as idea of good customer service.

Yes, i got a phone call stating about the 2,000.00 credit card, I proceeded to hang up but they intrigued me, since they knew so much about me, my checking acct #, my last four digits of social security, my date of birth, i asked for validation of company give me an address and a phone number. I called it on my other phone and ameritrust financial recording answered. So then I began to trust, I told him I won't send not a sent till I get the card, and what type was it visa or mastercard. The lady could not answer but switch me to a man to verify info. So the next day I checked my checking acct and I was at a negative... I was so mad... They knew a lot about me... I wonder if they get our info from the credit reporting agencies, because since i updated info, they constantly get emails i never received before.

My Boyfriend got a call from Ameritrust Financial today 2/15/08. Since his credit is bad he has been looking for a way to repair it, and this sounded great to him. Luckily he runs all these offers through me first.

Having known people who have been scammed before, I googled the company and luckily found many sites like this one. I'm sorry to all who got scammed but let me tell you, if it's a phone call and nothings in writing, I would be extremely cautious. After a little research I found their policy online and here is the web address. "http://ameritrustshop.com/index.php?main_page=conditions". It confirms what everyone has said about vouchers and fees. It is written in a very defensive way stating acts they are protected under, and if you have legal questions you should contact an attorney.

I don't know how they are getting away with blatantly lying to people to get their money. I've heard of twisting words before like "stored value card" and such, but just plain lying is false advertising. They have to be breaking some sort of law. I hope they go down hard for what they're doing to people.

I got a call with an offer of a credit card. 2000 limit. Went through the process, was approved but turns out, after taking 200.00 out of my bank account, that this was just a shopping card to buy from their, might I say, cheap and tacky web site. Plus they require 35% down which allows them back into your bank account. I am trying to get my money back and want to warn everyone not to fall for this. Talk about kicking us when we are down... this is fraud.

Person keeps calling me trying to offer me a pre-approved credit card. I have been getting credit card offers now from different companies since I reported my two credit cards that *I* applied for stolen after $2000 worth of bogus charges appeared on my two cards.

Now I can't get these calls to stop. So far, the first call I got was a bogus call from yet another credit card company in Florida wanting my mother's maiden name, my SSN and my checking account information.

How do these people get our information? I have gotten a FLOOD of bogus offers since I had that police report filed over my 2 stolen legit credit cards.

And how in the hell did they get my cell phone number?

I had these people calling and calling and calling me from California. Saying they were in Florida. The woman gave her name as Libby Foster and been working there 6 years and the company has been in business for 15 years. I called the Customer Service line, just rings. then I called the [protected] line to a gentleman hanging up on me when I asked how long the business has been up and running he told me 10 years. I told him, the lady said 15, he hung up on me, total scam, I think.

This company called me to verify an application for a credit card. They knew the last 4 digits of my SS number so I assumed they were legit. But, I don't give out such info and now am in the negative at my bank. I reported this to the bank when I got the phone call and actually warned the bank that something was going on. I am on SSI disability and have NO money now for the rest of this month!

With the "promise" of reporting good reports to credit reporting agencies, Ameritrust Financial solicited banking information, deducted money and provided nothing in return. They are stealing peoples money who are, in fact the ones who need it the most. They are getting names from bankruptcy filings.

They need to be stopped and prosecuted!

I finally receieved my phone call from a "Karen" I started asking her questions and telling her about the reviews.. She said the FDA would shut us down for all the bad stuff that's out there about us.. And then she went on to say go on Wal-mart.com and search there reviews the only people posting this stuff is people with BadCredit.. LOL oh it gets better she tells me that there is only one guy posting ALL this stuff that I am reading and he is currently in prison! LOL.. So I hang up on her and tell the [protected] number back and the same damn dude answers the phone he must have like killah caller id.. Cause he didn't sound chirper or anything he likes yeah lady basically you want your card. He goes on to talk to me some trying to I guess kill the "don't go" mood but I turned it on his ### and I say "NO" and tell him I had spoke with a "Karen" and she told me about this guy writing reviews and he says yes he is going on trial in a couple days and he is out currently still positing reviews I said wait a minute she told me he is in jail he said no he isn't "Karen" must be one of our new reps and she doesn't know what she is talking about. I said none of you do* And I am out*

I was contacted by a representative this morning and I wasn't able to finish the last part of the process - the "voice recorded confirmation". I started thinking about it and decided to look Ameritrust Financial up online. I then saw a whole bunch of reports on how they are scamming people! Thank goodness I did that now, I've already called my bank and have my account on freeze. Thanks to your comments!

I love the people that want to build up thier credit, but hate the fact that`s not a MC/VISA, AMEX, etc, , , Before you judge any financial corp, stop and and ask yourself this, are they providing the service there stating, is your credit score going up/down, that`s what you need to ask yourself. If your credit is important to you and only you, than go forward with the program, remember you have been turned down in the past for many reasons, if any CCC is willing to give you credit go for it. I`ve had this problem in the past. Today I can truly say it was worth it for me.

PS- Everyone like`s to hear negativity for any corp, let`s get real and move forward

stay away from these legalized criminals. What they do is tell you they need your bank account routing # and account # to check with your bank to see if your in good standing to determine if your eligible to get the card. Don't fall for it. Don't give them any information concerning your bank account or social security number nothing. If it's to good to be true you'll know the rest of the saying. then it is. They're scam artists in the worst way. If you like keeping your money to yourself then don't give them any information concerning you.

They just called me telling me I applied online for a card. They told me they just needed to ask me a few questions to verify the card to be sent out to me. I was EXTREMELY hesitant, but when they asked for my routing AND bank account number I decided to check them online. I told the young lady that I was going to check online and she hung up on me. Now, here I am thanking God for the hesitation he put in my heart and for those of you who took the time to complain. Shut them down.

Total Scam,
I'm having credit trouble and had been looking for help so when they called it sounded like someone following up on my requests. They took my $200.00 and I got nothing in return and I am the last person who could afford to be ripped off. There are so many companies out there that prey on those in need it is sooo sad and we have no recourse to get our money back.

I hope some law firm will see the comments and get them closed down so they don't continue to hurt people.

I also confused them with the reputable firm of Ameritrust Services so I am going to contact them and let them know about this.

I was actually contacted today March 21, 2008. I was actually told that it was a $3000 dollar credit card and that the charge was $300 and that it would be taken out all at once on the 26th of March. Once I saw this website I immediately called my bank and they set my account to deny the charges. Once I was done with them I called the FBI and made a report with them. I was unable to get in touch of the scammers at any of the numbers they gave me. Those numbers are: the customer service number that the female gave me [protected], the customer service number that the "automated system" gave me [protected], and the number that they called from [protected]. I hope that these F'n a-holes get what is coming to them because they are pieces of [censored] that don't care about anyone but themselves and I guarantee that if they continue to mess with me then there will be a lawsuit. My advice is that if you are contacted by these scammers do not give them any information, but if you are to late like me and didn't find this till after the fact then call your bank and change accounts or ask them to make a stop payment on the company. Also something else is that you could do is go to www.fbi.gov and find your local FBI office and make a report.

These people should be stopped. They target people who have financial problems and are desperate. Its discusting. I just got the call and was offered the same deal. $2,000 limit, $200, bank deposit, 8.9% rate, never to change? How great is that? Problem being... anyone who would make ME that offer, cannot be legit! Company rep was very vague about his company. I did not give any info on myself. Said I'd call him back. He could not give me a web site to go to, so I just googled Ameritrust Financial and found this site. glad I did.

Ameritrust Financial contacted me about rebuilding my credit with a credit card that has a limit of $2000 credit . They report to the credit bureau every monthinstead of yearly like other credit would improve rapidly. They took $200 from my checking account and I receiveed a letter that I told credit lne was from their catalog account card on the phone. They never mentioned that all purchases need 35% down as well. I am a single mother I though they was going to help me a credit card to help me get my credit bad on track, but I was wrong.

I just got off the phone with a guy from Ameritrust after the 4th call from them today...previously every time I've answered their calls, they've either hung up on me as I answered with my business name or hang up as soon as I pick up the phone. I've called their number back numerous times and never got a live person, so I was curious to know what they had to say. The guy who called me today started with, "I'm calling to process the order for your $2000 credit card you asked for"...it went downhill from there...I asked him the name of his company, googled it, kept him talking about how they got my info, he said I'd responded to an inquiry about raising my credit score...I told him I think he may have me confused then asked him to repeat his company info stating I'd never heard of them but since they call me 6 times a day, I must know them somehow. He proceeded to say over the top of my comment that he just needed to verify a few minor personal questions to authenticate he was speaking with me, and the 1st question was, "what is your annual income"...by then I'd pulled up some very interesting google info (this page also) and started asking him questions...he asked me where I was getting my information from, and I told him the name of the first site and he proceeded to tell me I may now be included in a lawsuit filed against the person who initiated a class action lawsuit for fraud, etc...I then told him I'd sure like to know if they could send me some documentation in the mail so I'd know they're a legit company, and he said sure, and tried to repeat my mailing address...I told him then that since he'd reached me on my cellphone he should know that I'm a government employee, and all my calls are monitored and recorded and asked him to repeat his full name and employee ID before I could proceed...he hung up on me...I called the number back from the caller ID and he answered, but this time using a different name...I told him I wanted to speak with the complaint dept and he put me on hold for about 15 min's then a woman came on the phone who asked me my information, and I told her I was calling from a government phone where all calls are monitored and recorded and could I have her full name and employee ID...she promptly hung up on me too...

The strangest thing happened shortly after this...I've gotten 3 more calls from 3 different companies all stating they were offering me money, saying I'd requested a loan from them or I'd answered an ad for a payday loan, or I'd applied for a secure card but they have a better offer for me...all of those calls with the caller ID # [protected] which cannot of course be traced. I asked each of them to identify their company, I wanted to look them up via google, and as soon as they stated they wanted to offer me what they were trying to pitch, I explained they'd called me on my government phone line and all my calls are monitored and recorded...EACH and EVERY time they immediately hung up...

For the record, stating "all my calls are monitored and recorded" has to be disclosed to any party calling in or out that has a recording device per the Federal Privacy laws...stating this to these types of companies is simple, and if they are legit they may state back to you that same thing, and be able to provide you with a contact number and their full name and employee ID and a mailing address for their business that you can research. If they are NOT willing to provide you with this information, remind them you are exercising your right to have them remove your number from their list and place it on their DO NOT CALL listing and they HAVE to do it. That does NOT mean they cannot sell your number to another company.

Having worked in industries that are less than savory in my past, I recognized there are different business entities for the parent company and I believe that eventually the right authority will shut them down. However, in the mean time, they will continue to get the funds from anyone they can, carry the funds for as long as they can, as the law of averages is in their favor. Many banks will not honor your request to investigate unless they've gotten alot of complaints. Many consumers do not know what their rights are with their bank, and it's just too inconvenient to have to fight the system to get that $200 back from the bank. In the time it took to process all that and get it back, this company has already gained interest on your money, and used that to continue to fund the payroll of the shady characters who have NO morals and probably get paid the $35 cancellation fee as their commission for each sale. In the mean time, they've already got your banking information and have put a hold on your account "pending investigation"...

Good luck... hopefully my comments helped someone...

This company gave me the impression this was a credit card that could be used anywhere. I found out it wasn't and I cancelled the card. A few days later they attempted to take $200.00 from my account! Does anyone know the email adress to this company. They put you through the run around when you try to call. They need to be put out of business.

This is so mind boggling to me! I would have never agreed to talk to these people but I was waiting for a REAL credit card from a legitimate company and thought that this was them. After I got off the phone with them I saw in my email that the company I was trying to work with had contacted me and ameritrust was not the right company. I contacted them and they assured me after I sent a letter I would not be charged the 200 dollars. They also told me they were a credit rebuilding ccompany and I could use their card anywhere...and I quote "at Wal-mart or the gas station". How can they call you and just lie?!?! When I tried to call them after they STOLE my money i was hung up on 6 times. I actually screamed the 4th time. How can they just hang up on people like that? I immediately reported them to the BBB and I am not stopping there! I am in the military and I plan to have JAG look into this. There is no reason why myself or anyone else who earns their money legitimately by working hard should have A$*HOLES like this stealing from us! I have learned my lesson but I am not done with this company, they will never be allowed to work with the military again once JAG gets through with them. Hopefully at some point they will be shut down all together. I am appauled!

They are full of ###! I thought it was a company that helped straighten out your credit, the representative explained that I would receive the card after my first annicial payment was made but then the following day I tried to call them and couldn't get through to an actual person until the next day and the person i spoke to said that my account was in review and to call back in five days, but the more I thought about it I realized that I had been duped, so I called them and told them that I wanted to cancel the credit card and the rude lady asked me if I had $35.00 to cover a cancelation fee in my bank and I said no and I haven't even received or used the card so I shouldn't have to pay for a card that isn't activated to start off with and she said well call us back when you have $35.00 so I hung up and went on the net and looked up there name and all over the page is saying they are frauds so i called my bank and they said to come in and close the account and no the bank won't pull it out of my new account and they won't authorize payment after the account is closed, I've apparently got a good bank.

AmeriTrust had called me in 11//07. They stated I was approved for a 2000 dollar line of credit and that the card was accepted at an store for use. The next thing they wanted to know was my checking account # and that there was a 200 dollar activation fee which would be returned to me in the form of 4 50 dollar vouchers. Next they stated that these could be used to make my payments on my card after i had used it. Like a dumb$$ i was excited to have a "quick fix" for my credit and i gave them my account #. Before asking me for anymore of my info they attempted to set a debit date for the 200 bucks. At this point i became suspicious and began asking questions about the company. I asked if the card bearded the master card or visa logo. The rep then said "i cant answer that" and proceeded to hang up on me. Then i called the back to find out what the heck that was about. The next rep was extremely rude and tried to make me feel dumb for not wanting to jump on such a great deal right away you might say. And then she to tried to set a date to debit my account and i said no and was hung up on. I called back one more time cause now i was on to them. I some how got the same rep that had just hung up on me. Well she had the same name but, Im positive it was a different person. This time i told them i was interested but wanted to look into the company some and would call back when i was ready. Then she said if i didnt complete the debit transaction right then that i would not ever be eligible again. Before i could answer she began to read me " on [protected] $ will be debited from your account? yes, correct?" once again i said no and was hung up on. I would like to know if anyone else said no? And still had money taken from their checking. These people a f*cking scam! I have called my bank and they refuse to help me.

Well like most all of the other people who can't afford to get scammed we did too. We have some $ problems so my girlfriend gets a call from these ###s for a credit card, and we think GREAT! A $2000 card to help with x-mas and everything else, boy were we wrong. They want to "verify" we had an active checking account. After it "checked out" they said she'd be getting this card soon, within 30 days. The next day or two we had someone try to get $100 from our checking and guess who... Those ameri"don't"trust people. When we called they said she was on tape agreeing to terms which never existed. The supervisor, which he claimed to be, gave me the run around and then finally hung up on me. Now we have to get a new account and change everything so they don't try to get money again. I want to know HOW CAN THIS KEEP HAPPENING! Is it that easy to start a company in the U.S. that scams people out of their hard earned money. After all these complaints how are they still operating. If anyone reading this knows what we can do to stop these ###s, please let me and all the other pissed off people know. So pass it on to all your friends and family, do not trust Ameri"don't"trust!
