Ameritrust scam

This company called me offering a personal loan of $50,000. They said I had two options, either I put $2,000. into an insurance account with their company and will be given a three month grace period or send $2,600. an advanced payment option in which case I will not make any payment until June 2008. It sounded too good to be true, so I decided to research the company before jumping in. Thank you folks for this web site where I am able to get information on this company. I will not do business with them.

yeah they told me I was approved for a 2,000 credit card with an activation fee of 200 dollars. They took a hundred dollars out one week then the following week. Next thing you know I never received anything or heard from them again. I tried to contact them all over the world but no explanation. That's a tragedy.

I called back and the a lady claims that the computer crashed, so she need my checking info again. Has to be a scam because they said the same things to me.

I know someone who this happened to! They are upset and don't know what to do. I told them to call their state police. They did and the state trooper just laughed at them. They told this person to contact the attorney general. What will they do? Will this person get their money back? What really should this person do? I thought it was a scam and tried to tell this person but they did not want to hear it. They paid Ameritrust $1960 and got nothing!

This company keeps calling both my home phone and cell both of which are on the no call list. They insist that no one has spoken to me when they have. Before finding out that they were scam artist i excepted their card i called back a few minutes later only to be told i would hace to speak to customer service which of course was closed. So i called back the first thing this morning and was told it wouldn't show in my file for three days so they couldn't do anything about it. So call back monday. I stated that was passed the 3 day deadline for terminating period. I was told because the money wasn't suppose to come out of my account until the 28th. To say the least I've told the bank and will be fighting this until the end.

Ameritrust called me about 20 times today until I finally called back wondering what they wanted. They wanted to offer me a credit card paying only 20%. Hmm... I dont have fantastic credit so I understood that. While I was on the phone with her I googled them and sure enough there was a ton of complaints. So I told her I was not interested. Unfortunetly she had already gotten my bank info so I had to put a block on my account. Thank God for the internet it saved me $200 today.

I was contacted by a Cristy on the phone and was told I would get a 2000.00 credit limit and it has been 3 weeks since I have heard from the company and I haven't received a card neither. So I already have closed my bank account so they can not get another hundred out of me.
