I have a loan balance discrepency withAmeristar. I have overpaid the company on my car loan. They telling me that I owe them an additional $5000 plus on my 2001 honda accord sedan. They refuse to refund me my overpayment balance of $690 and are harrassing me everyday at home, on my cellphone and on my workplace. When I ask for proof of this outstanding balance they have none. They are blaming it on the previous loanholder (Motorists Acceptence). My contract plainly states any chnge to the contract must be in writing and signed by both parties, no oral changes are binding. I have addressed Ameristar with a request in writing for my overpayment balance and the title to my car. I have gotten nothing but a letter in return stating I owe them even more money now.

My loan was to be paid off in July 08. I was notified by the company that my loan was being extended do to an insurance issue that a previous company had that owned my loan. They extended to Nov 08. Now we are in Dec and I got a pay off notice in the mail saying I owe $5, 000. Plus they have been charging an NSF fee on every statement. I asked them about it and they said I had a check returned 2 years ago. When I asked for a audit of my account and for them to send the info to me they said no. Please contact the local DA about ameristar. I am doing so right now

Ameristar is worthless. We agreed to $200 a month and had been paying it for 11 months with NO problems. Then, on Oct. 24th a payment got returned and today they said we need to pay them $5, 000 or they're gonna come get the car. After ONE late payment. I tried talking to those idiots, but they didn't wanna talk, so I guess we get to go to court and I get to tell the judge about all their illegal repo techniques like beating my doors in at 4am. It's kinda funny that the car has been broke for 2 years and now, all of a sudden, 2 weeks after it's back on the road, they want $5, 000. They can suck it at this point.

The collector, "Bill" is a bunghole.. he started offering a settlement and when I tried to negotiate with him he then stated "our company isn't willing to do business with you anymore.." wtf is wrong with the guy.. meanwhile i was going to pay him what he asked.. but he closed the deal.. now i have this stupid vehicle in my garage.. oh well... their loss.. the repo man cant even get it from my garage... if he wanted it so bad why didnt they pick it up when i filed bankruptcy? Ameristar Financial is a very bad company!
