This site sent me a spam mail stating that I owed over $200 worth of clothing and accessories. I never ordered from this company (Amerimark.com) or been to the site. The email had a link to the "store" which appeared to be real as well as an "order number" that you could use to check the "status of your order". I entered a name and the "order number" and the site stated that the order "did not exists". I figure that this must be some sort of phishing scam used to get personal information.

For many years I have ordered merchandise from Anthony Richards and Ameri Mark with no problems. Recently I ordered two-2-pairs of Softwear Andie shoes which were on SALE. I saw the shoes on the website and ordered them via the catalog. Yet several days later I received an Email that I had not sent enough money for the order. When I called to inquire about it the Customer Service Rep tried to charge me-FULL PRICE-for the shoes which were on sale-and have been on sale from prior to 11/30 to the Current Date. I was disgusted and told him to cancel the entire order. On the Confirmation Slip on the Internet only one pair of the shoes was available; so he had plenty of money to cover the bill-even at FULL PRICE. Someone was trying to make a haul of money for themselves for the holidays. Definitely not the kind of experience I have ever previously had with Anthony Richards and Ameri Mark employees. They owe me two-2-pairs of shoes and a BIG APOLOGY.

I just received the current bill and in the back of my mind I was thinking that the one item I bought should have been paid off a long time ago. And I noticed an Easy Living purchase of $24.99. I started thinking of how I know that I have not ordered from them in a year and come to think of it, I had seen this same charge. Long story short, I called, asked how to see my entire order and payment history and that I had not ordered anything. I threatened the company with a fraud lawsuit. I was refunded the entire year of this bogus charge. Now they owe me money!

This company sent me a bill in my autistic sons first name but not his last name. Mind you he is 8 years old with no computer access when i tried to explain this to a manager she said to send my sons birth certificate. Are you kidding im being scammed and you want me to send my kids real information I refused and they said they will mark it on my credit im call bbb right now and i already made a police report on this company.

This company originally charged $5.99 to ship my order plus a $.99 priority replacement fee; then charged $9.99 shipping and charged another $.99 replacement fee to exchange the item! They graciously dropped the second $.99 when I called to question the charges. This company is shady. I will never shop here again.

It really makes me think twice maybe even three times about whether or not to do business with them. I found several different items from the catalog I received in the mail. I'm not sure it will be worth all of the issues I have read about to do an order.

I have ordered from your catalog many time and have complained about the same thing at least three times. I ordered some jeans. 0565304516Q. in Petite Short. Three times the invoice, the plastic bag they were in and the tag on the jeans all said PS. But the jeans had a tag inside that just said petite. Now I have to send another $10.00 to get them shortened. Enough is enough. I am done buying from your company. I will find some other place to shop.

I missed on payment. Afrer that, I made a payment on time each month. I am now being charged an 18.00 late fee every month for the one missed payment. I have been told by legal aid that that is illegal.

Well, I've had much better luck with AmeriMark, and nobody asked me to say that. I ordered a few things a couple years back, including that pineapple slicer Debbie 4545 mentioned, and everything arrived in a timely fashion. The rock bottom pricing was a big hit with me, but, I now wonder what "imported" means. If it's from Kenya, Bangladesh, or Puerto Rico, I'm fine with that, but I'm not so keen with bolstering the economies of China or Vietnam, so my only complaint is that AmeriMark isn't more up front about its buying. I had hoped someone here might know what gives there, but I'll just suppose the merchandise comes from China, and, probably buy it anyway because the pricing is so attractive. Meanwhile, Clevelanders, cheer up. This business is still just getting off the ground, and its offering work in a geographic area that has had some pretty lean times in recent years

Just found this on my 86 year old mother's credit card bill. She had a stroke very recently and while checking her bills I came across this charge. Turns out she was paying this for almost 2 years. When I called it was like they were used to the whole scenario of a senior forgetting that they agreed to this scam. Seems she ordered a pineapple slicer from some catalog company and "agreed to a trial" at $3.99 the first month, $24.99 there after. "We even sent her a followup letter and she never contacted us to cancel. We sent her a renewal and she didn't cancel it". Probably all looked like junk mail to her. They reversed charges for 8 months. But still, that pineapple slicer cost her more than $300.

Between this and AARP sending her a "voluntary renewal" EVERY month and The national committee to preserve Social Security sending her an appeal TWICE a month, I wonder if anyone is honest anymore.

EXACTLY like the other comments...I had been paying the $24.99 per month charge for several months before I discovered that it was not correct. I called and they said I had signed up for "easy living" when I ordered an item. This "offer" was discussed on the phone but in no way did I hear ANY monthly charges would be automatically charged. They are VERY careful to make it sound like it is a promotional offer and I resent that they are sneeky. They said they would credit my account, but I can't be sure how many months the charges went back because my card company only goes back 3 months. I will NOT be doing any more business with this company nor its affiliates and I caution "BUYER BEWARE!"

I too was taken in by this charge of 29.99. When it appeared in Jan. I assumed it was one of the many purchases I made for Christmas. When it again appeared on my Feb charges I called the 800 number and they said I had signed up for something called Passport to health. I have no idea what that is about nor did I willingly sign up for it. I cancelled it immediately and they said they would credit my MC acct. I will be keeping a close eye on this to see that they do. And I will never purchase anything from this company again. I don't like sneaky sites that put check marks on things you didn't opt for so that they can milk you for more $ and hope you won't catch on.

I don't doubt it at all. My mother ordered from an Anthony Richards catalog in April, 2009. She received the merchandise charged to her credit card, which was fine. BUT...her account has been charged every month for 29.99 and 24.99. She is 86 and paid her bill each month, not realizing that the charges were bogus. After reviewing her statements, I called Anthony Richards and they said she had signed up to receive two publications per month: Easy Living and Protecting Your Health. I assure you, she had not! I hope this posting will save someone else from falling prey to this scam.

I just got off the phone and the SAME thing happened to me. I am 49 and super aware of my finances so when I saw $3.99 on Jan 5 2017 I was shocked because I work at home and I am online most of the time. What they are doing is disgusting and reprehensible because their targeting your mother or people of your mothers age. I think it is vile how human beings prey upon those who would not be so inclined to complain or even notice such things. I am sickened to no end and I plan to call corporate offices just so they can hear my voice. It will most likely go on deaf ears but that is NOT the sole point of my complaint. I want to hear the BS and rhetoric and platitude they will use in an attempt to insult my intelligence. As you quickly discovered, it is simply a SCAM to prey upon the elderly. I actually told the health rep, "Shame on you because you would NOT stand if someone was scamming your parents"...
