America's Value Channel Awful company

I returned a gemstone in accordance with their instructions and after 3 months they have not returned my money. All the do is 'escalate' my claim after repeated phone calls.

I don't recommend purchasing anything from this company.

On Aug. 28, 2009 I made a purchase of two seperate items by phone. The first item was suppose to be a NEON Tanzanite for $139.00 + (yes) $11.99 for S/H, this was one loose stone less than a carat in size. The Tanzanite arrived within a reasonable amount of time but, the stone looked nothing like what I ordered form the item on T.V. I didn't realize AVC only allows you seven days to return an item and I guess I'm stuck with this very average nothing special Tanzanite I paid too much for.
More than two weeks later I was watching AVC and they were again featuring the exact item I had also ordered on Aug. 28, 2009 which was four 1/4 carat diamonds. I had intended to make a pendent for my sisters bithday but, by friday Sept. 11, 2009 I had not recieved the item nor had there been any deduction for this purchase in my account register. I felt I would not have enough time by then to complete the gift in time for my sisters bithday so I called the phone number listed on the invoice from the first purchase and had to leave a message because it was past 5:00 p.m. in Georgia. I explained that I did not have enough time to complete the item I had intended for these stones and I would like to cancel the order, I included the order # and all of my contact information and again stressed that I would like to cancel! The following Monday the amount of $719.99 was deducted from my account by AVC. I called the phone # available from information provided from the transaction and after waiting for sometime my call was answered by a person named Sahara. I explained to Sahara that I had cancelled this order by message the previous Friday and she then told me I had called the wrong phone # because she personally checks the messages. Sahara told me the item had already been shipped but, to refuse the item when it arrived and she would refund the transaction. I made sure I had some kind of tracking # so I could make sure AVC had recived the item. I asked her if I would be charged any S/H for this and she said no. I have checked with the post office and the information stops at the date the item was refused Sept. 23rd. I called AVC on the 19th or 20th of Oct. and I believe I spoke to Sahara, although she did not give me her name but it sounded like the person I had spoke to before. I asked if the item had been returned and she said she thought so but, was very vague about any information. I then asked when I sould be getting the money back and she said up to 30 days. Today is Nov. 9th and still I have not recived the return.

Loose Gemstone was returned to AVC via UPS for refund under their 30 day warranty. I have signed receipts for return but was never given credit/refund. Called several times and no response except they were running late. Now it has been 9 months and no response. they stole my money by keeping $1, 600.00.Original Invoice# 1260500.

I bought a necklace and paid on 1/17/2010. Their return policy said to return the invoice with the item within 10 days. I called their return dept and got the return authorization number, wrote it on the invoice and returned the item on 1/26/2010 by 1st class priority mail. Post office confirmed delivery of package. I called caroline & Tammy on 2/11/2010 and enquired, a Ms Pat spoke to me and confirmed item was received in their return dept and I should wait a couple of weeks for credit to show on my account. I called on 3/15/2010 and Ms Becky asks me for a tracking number now and says that they have no record of item received. They are now playing up and avoiding to pay me. I have reported to the BBB of Atlanta and hope they will get these crooks to refund my money. I would warn anyone out there to be careful with your purchase. Their jewelry is cheap. You can buy those jewelry at JCP for really cheap. I have and you will agree if you just go in their store and look.

gem country accepted returns and did not credit customers and now caroline and tammy are back on tv and on face book selling jewelry.i can not believe the tv station will agree to give them air time i wonder how many more they will steal from as they tell everyone to go to church.i am out about 500 dollars and the time and hassle.my son was diagnosed with cancer soon after i returned the jewelry and i expected to get credited i did what i was instructed and they signed for the jewelry and acknowledged on the phone they receivd it.of course after you follow their instructions its too late for your credit card to help.

i think this company is actually doing something criminal and needs to be investigated. i purchased stones and did everything they tell you to do for returning them and yes i had to return quite a few . they were not what they showed and they were in fact low quality . what is criminal isnt so much that they send you bad stuff its that they get your money and then hold it up for months. even if you did everything correct they still dont pay for months . the policy is after 30 days money back but i didnt get mine for 6 months and i called every week and was told there was nothing they could do that it was up to the owner. it was horrible they had thousands of my dollars that i was needing to pay credit cards with and they were making money off my money. what they do is use the money they stockpile to buy gems when they can get cheap parcels and disregard the return policy altogether. any way it was suggested i go to the better business bureau in atlanta and i did . within two days i got my money. REPORT THEM TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU OF ATLANTA and watch how quick the money gets refunded
