American Progressive was to cancel my father's policy, which they say they did, and place him back on the Medicare policy that he had. This took 6 weeks and we were informed then that it would take Medicare another 45 days to process. It has been 106 days since cancellation of policy and nothing has been corrected yet. Medicare says they have received nothing from American Progressive and we have sent 3 complaints through them with no action from American Progressive on said complaints. When trying to reach American Progressive, I am either told that they will call me back or they say that they sent it through once already and what more can they do. SEND IT THROUGH AGAIN! No one follows up on anything anymore! You would think that they would rather put the disenrollment through again and send me verification of said transaction instead of having me call every week!

Any other people out there with the same problem? How did you get it rectified? Advise smb!

I am with a provider's office and cannot tell you the problems we have with Today's Options. The customer service reps are not all fluent in English, there are no direct phone #'s for us, as providers to call, they have continually sent our payments to random addresses even though we have provided a W-9 multiple times with the correct address. I just called to check on the status of a claim that was paid to the incorrect address and was told they are experiencing a high call volume and would need to call me back. That is not common in this business, it is usually that your call is placed in queue and the call is handled then NOT that they have to call you back. I don't believe them. I have filed a complaint with their Provider Mainetenance and I have heard nothing. There is no way to contact Provider Maintenance via the phone.

I signed up for American Progressive 4/4/07 before I turned 65. I canceled 2 days later. The contract stated I could cancel before I turned 65, which I did it is now almost 9/07 and I have no resolution they still have not canceled. I think their toll free numbers are not even in the USA. They want the money they get from Medicare. They have mess up my insurance. I refuse to be held hostage by them and have been going to the doctors. They will have to make it right. I tell everyone I know not to buy this medicare advantage plan. I have called medicare many, many times also American Progressive. I sent my cancellation letter via certified mail and am now taping all conversations with them.

My husband enrolled for Pryamid's Today's Options policy, in December 2006. When he went to doctor's he was told they did not honor that policy, so he contacted the company to cancel the policy. That was in January, 2007. After repeated requests to cancel, there has been no resolution. First of all, it's very hard to understand the call takers for this company. Their English is limited. After we sent, in writing, once again to cancel, received a letter stating he can not cancel. Tomorrow, we're filing a complaint with the Board of Insurance and BBB.
